After reading reviews I am even more confused.

Okay...I need a rank ordering from you.

Rank in order of preference:

Kona Cafe
Grand Floridian Cafe
1900 Park Fare
The Wave
LTT (after January 5th)
Tutto Italia

I am trying to fill in some other days and from looking at reviews and pictures of food from other posts I am at a loss!

TIA!

have you checked out allears.net? They have menus and reviews and pictures for EVERY resturant in WDW!

Don't get too caught up in reading reviews. I just look at menus, and see which restaurants have dishes that look tasty to me.

By and large, Disney table service food is very good. Sure, there are hits and misses, and mistakes are made. But there are no 'bad' restaurants at Disney.

Dining reviews are so subjective, just because people have such varying tastes in food. For every restaurant on property, you'll find very good and very bad reviews. Just look at the recent thread on Whispering Canyon. Some posters thought the food was fabulous and can't wait to go back, others thought the food was terrible and will never return. It's like that for just about every restaurant at WDW.

My picks, in order, would be:
Kona
1900 Park Fare
GF Cafe
Tutto
LTT
The Wave

Honestly, the last three on your list hold little appeal for me, but if I had to chose between them, that's the order I'd pick. Have fun planning!

Thanks everyone. I'd love some more opinions, too! I have checked out the menus and that is what has confused me. I can find things on the menus for each TS that I would enjoy eating. Then I looked at reviews (primarily ones with photos) and that confused me more.

So...more...more...more...I'm going to go with majority rules on this one since I am so unsure.

Sorry but you could ask twenty different people for a ranking and you are going to get twenty different rankings. You will ask twenty different people for a review and you are going to get twenty different reviews.

What you did first was to look at the menus which was very good. What you did second was look at the reviews which was OK. What you did third was to rely on those reviews which was not so good.

To put it in everyday life - my husband doesn't like this one place we go to for weekly trivia. I really like it. If people who are married for 26 years have that much of a different of opinion, what do you think the thousands of people on this board are going to do?

The only thing you should rely on is YOU.

The other thing to consider is your overall list. When I did mine, I tried to vary the cuisine ... several restaurants/dinner shows will have similar menus.

For example:

HDDR and backyard BBQ serves about what you get in the WC skillet
O'Hana is similar to the Poly dinner show

I also didn't want all buffets or several in a row.

So that is just something else to consider ... restaurant theme, cuisine, etc.

For us I have booked dinners in this order:

Cap'n Jack's - seafood/DTD
San Angel Inn - Mexican/EPCOT/Atmosphere
HDDR - Fun, all-you-can-eat, American, ribs/chicken
Mama Melrose - Italian/Studios
Biergarten - Fun, all-you-can-eat, German
Teppan Edo - Dining Experience, Japanese
O'Hana - Fun, all-you-can-eat, Polynesian

We are doing the DDP for the first time and many of these places are new to us. It should be quite a varied dining experience.

disnut8 is so right. You can listen to everybody's opinion. It's best to look at menu an see what appeals to you. To many opinions will drive you crazy.
What works for me might not for you. And really all the places are good.
I am sure you will be happy in your choice . Have a great trip! :)

Amen!

Please, please, please do NOT rely on reviews.

I am a case and point example. After reading many reviews of Kona I had one meal that I was most looking forward to and that was my Tonga Toast breakfast. I made the latest breakfast reservation possible to get my Tonga Toast. I HAD to have it after reading everything here.

We zip out of MK earlier than we want because we need to make it to the Polynesian. We arrive and are seated. I am practically dancing with excitement. My breakfast arrives and BLECH!!!!! It was disgusting! I love sugar, I love bananas, I love french toast. It should all be good but something was horribly wrong.

I tried some of DH's breakfast and it tasted like Denny's or Perkins.

What went wrong? I didn't read past the raving reviews and worship of Tonga Toast. If I'd been left to my own devices I would have probably gotten the macadamia nut pancakes and I probably would have been a lot happier doing my own thing rather than the Dis thing.

I think that this is a great wealth of information here, but you CANNOT trust or believe dining reviews. The only restaurant that I have seen a 100% consistent and 99.9999999999% positive review of is Victoria & Albert's.

I did have Boma for our last dinner, but have dropped it because that is the first day of the Wine/Food Festival. I think I will be more interested in eating my way around the world than sitting in a restaurant!!!

I do rely on the reviews but I also try and find a reviewer who felt the same way I did about a common restaurant I have already eaten at. Then I take their review for more than just an opion because I know we have similiar likes in other places.

Of the places you have listed I have only tried LTT & 1900 Park Fare. Didn't care for LTT at all and the menu would need to change before I head back. 1900 Park Fare was a very nice breakfast and the character interaction was really great. We try and go to 1900 every few years but not a don't miss place we eat at each trip.

Here's a perfect example . Tricia listen to the boards and didn't like the Tonga Toast. I listen to the boards and Loved Tonga Toast.

I'll rate only the ones we have done recently.

Tutto Italia
Kona Cafe
1900 Park Fare
LTT
Grand Floridian Cafe

The Grand Floridian Cafe didn't do it for us- but the service was good- the food was just blech imho- but others have liked it so we may have had an off day. And we did not go this last trip and people are saying it is good now. So mine are based on last April trip. Not my July trip for the GFC-
Tutto Italia was yummy I liked it very much- if you are on the dining plan go for it. We paid out of pocket and it was a bit $$ for what you got but still a great meal.
