My mother was the first one... she had breast cancer 15 years ago. She's a survivor and doing fine. :)

But 10 years ago her 2nd youngest sister had breast cancer in both breasts and died as a result of the chemo.

A couple years ago my Mom's brother died from some unusual form of cancer.

And she just told me that her youngest sister has breast cancer and has to go for a double mastectomy next week.

That's 4 out of 7 siblings and a 5th sibling has Multiple Sclerosis. :(

(Of course, I'm high risk and have to have frequent mammograms. Next one is November 4.)

My aunt could use all our prayers and happy thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom's youngest sister facing cancer. I'll keep your family in my prayers and hope for a return to health for her. I'll pray for strength for you Suite Disney to keep your aunt's spirits up, I know your humour brightens my day.

i am so sorry. cancer runs rampant through out my family also. unfortunately it is all different. hasnt been the same for two people yet.

anyway. so sorry. {{HUGS}}

Laura I'm sorry. It stinks to be high risk but you know they check us over to help try and keep us safe and heathly...but it still stinks!!!

Hang in there....I'm keeping your family in my prayers!!!

So sorry to hear that, Laura. My prayers and best for her, and all in your family, and you also. Sure is a lot today. :(

I'm sorry, Sis. I'll be praying for your aunt.

My mom had uterine cancer 27 years ago. She's a survivor too.:) My paternal grandmother had breast cancer (she had one breast removed, then 16 years later had to have the other one removed). Cancer scares me.:(

**pd** for your aunt, and **pd** and prayers for you for November 4th. {{hugs}}

I'm so sorry about your aunt. :(

I'll try to keep her in my thoughts and prayers. {{{hugs}}} for you.

{{{Hugs}}} for you and your entire family. :(

Bless you, Laura. That's very scary to have so much cancer in your family. I'm so glad that you are staying current with frequent mammograms.

I'm so sorry. :( My aunt was recently diagnosed with cancer as well, and hopefully she does okay. But I do feel really bad for the news.

EVERYBODY in our family gets cancer. It's not an option. Only my Grandfather didn't and that was because he had a heart attack ( the kind where you're dead before you hit the ground ), so he didn't live long enough to develop it.

Should I live to January 5th, 2003, I will have been in remission for TEN years. I'm not bragging because there's certainly nothing I'm capable of doing to keep it from ever coming back, but this 10 year mark is a real big deal for me.

Basically, I know it's rough to deal with but I know that attitude is everything. There were only about five days (and I can only think of two specifically) during the two year adventure (involving two seperate bouts of cancer) that the stress and depression became overwhelming. Look for the humor in everything! You say it can't be done. Sorry, but I disagree.

Before I get FLAMMED!!! I know that it's different for everybody. I almost died from radiation treatments and almost everyone else "cruises" through that, and then the second time, I did the crusing through Chemo! I'll take the Chemo anytime over the radiation! (Yeah, go figure) But keep the humor level high! I even made fun of it. There is a difference between this and being in denial. I never let myself go there. I guess because I knew that cancer is basically a family tradition for us.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and KICKED IT'S BUTT!!! TWICE!!! :p :p :p :p :p

I am so very sorry to hear this. I am saying a prayer for her. {{{HUGS}}}

A lot of the women in my family has gotten cancer, or abnormal cells, so far all but me. I am very careful.

Laura, I'll say a prayer for your aunt and you family take care.

Lots of prayers for your family Suite.....
