I returned from Disney last week and had a blast with my husband and 2 kids. We even brought money back! Here are a few of my tips.
1. Pecos Bill's at Magic Kingdom is great. Hotdogs are jumbo and plenty big for 2. The toppings bar for the hamburgers is fabulous. They have all the regular fixins' plus some extras like grilled mushrooms. You could even make a salad out of these fixins'.
2. We ate a decadent dessert at the Main Street Bakery one night after eating hotdogs. It made us feel like we had been to an expensive sitdown restaurant, but for much less $.
3. We took in our own snacks and water bottles to fill up at the fountains. This saved so much, especially on drinks with meals. They are $1.99 or $2.50 a pop.
4. In Futureworld at Epcot they have a place where you can try sodas from around the world for FREE. Great for when you need to cool off. You can try as many as you like.
5. There are some great budget restaurants in Orlando. TGIFridays has a 2 can eat for 19.99 special right now. Also Cici's Pizza has all you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad for 3.99.
6. We bought some Disney souveniers at discount stores to save money. My kids did not care as long they got something. We also did some outlet shopping and got some clothes and Easter outfits which I let count as part of their loot. They did not mind that either and I was purchasing needed items.
Just a few of my tips.
