In our local newspaper today, there was a report in the entertainment section about Britney Spears' latest escapade at Victoria's Secret. She went in to buy some pink g-strings and wound up changing her son's diaper on the floor near the cash register. When she was done, she handed the diaper to a clerk and asked her to dispose of it.

Uhhhhhh ... what person does this!? OK, I can understand that if she left the store, she might get mobbed. So, why not ask the Victoria's Secret staff to use a private area for that purpose?! And, dispose of the freaking dirty diaper yourself!

Why change the diaper in the middle of the store!??!?! And, to expect a sales clerk to dispose of it for you!?!?!

That woman has no class!!!!!

I don't know. She should have used a changing room (and yes I have done this elsewhere and have no problems with this!)

I can beat that though...

But I went to Eucharistic Adoration at a church once--it was a special half hour for children and one of the mom's changed the diaper in the middle of the adoration period. Now--this is a very very holy experience in the Catholic Church b/c you are in the presence of Jesus and the woman just changed a diaper. Now i know it was for kids--but at least go to the back of the chapel or just outside the door.

I saw a lady change a diaper on one of the picnic tables at a playground at Fort Wilderness. Lunch, anyone??

Now, have some compassion for poor Britney. She can't be expected to properly change a diaper and find a trash can herself.

I was at Castaway Cay last year and near the bathrooms, a lady was changing her toddler's diaper right out in the open with his poopy covered butt. I mean she wasn't even 10 feet away from the bathroom, of course it could have been worse, she could have done it at Cookies.

:crazy2:

Who in their right mind would hand a stranger a dirty diaper! At least their aren't any pictures of it on the internet.

Yet.

If I was the clerk I would have told her "No, I can't take that" when she handed over the diaper. What store would want a smelly diaper in the trash under the register? I don't care who you are, that's just gross.

Honestly. :sad2:

When my DH and I were are 50's a couple months ago a lady changed her babies diaper right before they left, rolled it up and stuck in her empty soda glass. Now why would anybody do that? I hadn't noticed, my DH pointed it out. Gross!!!

No, but just wait a few hours and it'll probably be on Ebay! LOL :rotfl2:

That's sick. I'm to assume it was a poopy, right?
Although a wet diaper would still be gross, a poopy would take the cake.

I used to be an asst bank manager. I was opening an acct for a lady one day in my office (glass walls), & she changed the baby's diaper on my credenza. Then handed it to me to put in my trash can. :scared:  :crazy2: :faint:

I believe I've eaten my last meal at 50's Prime Time.

I have no idea if Britney's baby's diaper was of the poopy variety. Newspaper didn't make that clear. Sorry!

Yes agree some of those places things are gross but please you never ever changed a diaper in a public place on a blanket. I have changed my on a park bench, I wasn't going to stop my other child from playing to run home. I did it on the front seat of a car too. And for the beach probably there to.

I was working at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Tucson, AZ when Dana Delaney came in - she was filming "Tombstone" at the time and they were using the Old Tucson ghost town.

Anyway, I was ringing up her purchases, and she pulled out a tissue and blew her nose - then handed me her snotty tissue!

Maybe it's a celebrity thing.

I have been critical of Britney in the past, but I have also changed diapers in public. I would have asked the clerk "is there somewhere I can throw this away" rather than handing it to her though.

I guess Victoria's Secret lost a little of it's sex appeal that day. :crazy2:

I don't know but perhaps I am in the minority here, but here is this kid who grew up in front of the camera. The rehearsals, the filming, the music, the videos, all took precedent to her education, emotional growth and maturity. She certainly met someone's needs; The Disney Company, her production company, her manager, anyone who made money from her, but now, that she doesn't have the skills that she needs to cope with the issues of adulthood, parenthood and doesn't demonstrate a whole lot of maturity or good judgement, she is somehow, fodder for cheap shots and criticism from anyone from the media, the press and even on this bb. In some ways, life is a "zero sum" game. When the focus is on making a career rather than making a human being, something has got to give. I think of Bob Marley, who at one point had 4400 people dependent upon him for their livelihood. He developed malignant melanoma of his toe but when a foot amputation was recommended rather than a toe amputation, his manager and recording company protested. "He won't be able to dance like he used to". He died at Sloan Kettering because he was busy meeting everyone elses needs but his own.
