Tell your Dad and let him get the word out? Email your sister and say "Wow, isn't this cute? And wouldn't it be so convenient for commuting?", and then let her think she thought of it when she buys it for you , or just say that you'd like $$ for your birthday so you can buy yourself something cute you saw in a catalog.
