Why are there more BCV listings than SSR listings on TTS right now? I don't get it? Did I miss something?? :confused3

Moving your post over to Ops where you probably get some responses.

If you look at Fidelity, they have about 12 BCV listings and about 100+ SSR. So, it varies. However, in general it seems as if the number of BCV listings has increased recently. Or they are sitting longer. There still aren't many relative to most other resorts, but when we bought at the beginning of the year there were barely any.

Most other resort resales were cheaper and sold quicker. Now that money is tight again you may see more of the hier priced ones set around awhile till their prices come down. IMHO

People are now finding out the Best Kept Secret is the pools and location at SSR are actually better than BCV

They are selling now to get the best price they can get because they need the money and they've had their points for eight or more years??

I think that BCV is still holding its value and therefore, people may be choosing to buy in at SSR because they simply are saving money--upfront costs and MF's.

There are a lot of new members out there who really have no strong preference on home resort and thus, going for the bargains. BCV is one of the few places that Disney has ROFR'd in the last 2 years so that could play a role.

.

:thumbsup2 also the yrs left too.. Save 30$ a point, and get extra yrs... You'de better love BC alot more to take the garentee over the possible. It is not that you cannot ever stay at BC (or anywhere for that matter), with SSR points, but the garentee and only if your RSVP very far in advance.

We love the BCV...and IMO SSR pools can't hold a candle to SAB...and the easy access to EPCOT especially during the F&W and flower garden show can't be beat...walk home spend the afternoon in the pool, and walk back...no bus no fuss. :cool1:

:worship:That's throwing down the gauntlet! Beach Club fan flame war in five...four...three... popcorn::

I've got your back -- I'll see anybody's Beaches and Cream with Ghirardelli's, and raise a Haagen-Dasz (and a Pollo Campero!)

Why do you think the location at SSR is better? We also own points there but have never stayed there yet. (but want to :))

You will have to find that answer for yourself. How can you own SSR and never stay there?

Not everyone loves F&W at EPCOT - some people think that is a glorified overpriced food court and some people with allergies can't handle going during the flower and garden month.

There are no horse theme at BCV and it is a LONG way to the golf course and there is no quality spa there.

BCV owners really think highly of themselves, but I don't hold that against them. They just have an inferiority complex when they compare their limited amenities to the vast offerings at SSR. Also, there are thousands of MORE people that were convinced that SSR was a better place to buy than BCV and that is why SSR is so large and popular.

We own af BLT and SSR. We are new DVC owners, and have only taken one trip staying DVC so far. We chose to stay at our other home resort BLT MK view :banana:for this past July trip. We stopped there on our way to DD and found the SSR grounds and pool so relaxing and beautiful! A nice contrast to BLT, a more laid back feel to the resort. I think our next trip will be there!!

There's even some who own BCV *AND* SSR.....
