More availability week of Easter Sunday

I was checking hotel availability this morning and there is actually more available the week of Easter Sunday (4/1-4/8) than there is later in April and into May?? Just curious why....

Around here kids have off from school starting the Wednesday before Easter. They go back the Tuesday after Easter.

Obviously anecdotal, but resort rates around Easter are super-expensive.... among the highest rack rates of the year.

I know for us, our Spring Break is that week. We are opting to not go to Disney then this year, mainly due to cost. I can turn that money into multiple other trips, or a longer summer trip.

We spent last Easter in WDW and the rates were very affordable and from Easter Sunday on the parks were moderate to low attendance.

Probably K-12 school schedules...they vary regionally. Up here you may or may not get Good Friday off (and it's usually called low attendance day). April break up here starts Monday April 16 or Monday April 23. So you're not going to take your kids out of school 2 to 3 weeks before a break (especially if you're a parent who needs to take those days off from work).
