Oh, this is my first post on this board! Hello All! And GOOD LUCK!

Hi Trish! Glad you found the waiting room. :) Welcome!

Please let us know if you see the questions, I don't see them. Are they not released until THE DAY? Does anyone remember last years questions?

Oh, this is my first post on this board! Hello All! And GOOD LUCK!

Here are last year's questions:

In 100 words or less, tell us about you and your family

In 100 words or less, tell us what
makes you a great Walt Disney World® vacation planner

In 100 words or less, tell us what your favorite vacation tip is for visiting Walt Disney World® Resort

These were slightly different from the previous year (2008 panel, I mean), and slightly different from the MMC Party questions earlier this year.

The MMC Party questions were:

You, Your Family, and Activities
Tell us about you and your family, including the ages of your children and any extended family living with you and any extracurricular activities you and your children participate in.

Vacation
Experiences
Tell us about your vacation experiences at Walt Disney World(r) Resort, including your number of visits and the date of your last visit.

Your Network
of Friends
Tell us about your social network, including the number of parents you interact with each week, your offline and online social networking, blogging, and podcasting.

Let the fun begin! (and the wait...and the nail biting...prayers...anything!):goodvibes

:cheer2:

Yippppeee!!! It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!

Good luck everyone.....can't wait to start on the next adventure!!

yeh, this is better than kids going back to school! LOL!

It is so much fun to follow the developments of who makes what round. Good luck to all of us!

For those of you going to the Mickey Moms Party tonight...have fun! Post pics if you can.

Also, some of you have asked about my blog - I finally updated it. I had to change the URL because of an email issue...anyway, if interested, you can find it here: http://diane-blogging.blogspot.com/

Hello again my friends. Here we go again.

I didn't make it past the first round last year but I'm gearing up for another round of "sitting on the edge of my seat" and "chewing my fingernails down to the stubs" wondering who gets to move on and finally who gets picked.

As a consolation prize for not getting picked last year and as a Christmas present (to myself) I took the family to Disney. So that being said, I just BOOKED ANOTHER CHRISTMAS TRIP!

If I read correctly, they are opening the application process on the September 10th and training is to begin on the December 4th? HaHA, our trip is scheduled for the 5th of December. So If I don't get picked, at least I'll be there for the new Panel training (I wonder if they'll let me in anyway).

Good Luck everyone!

Thank you for posting the questions from last year! I am formulating ideas for answers.

Does anyone remember what the time lines were? For example how long after round one answers were in, did they respond with "You are/are not moving on?" We will be in WDW September 24-October 2. I would hate to miss an email.

Wow - just getting back to the Dis after vacation, and boy oh boy does this thread move fast when that annual announcement gets made, doesn't it?!!

You would think it would be less thrilling and exciting the third time, but no. I am just as excited and eager (if not more so!) than I was two years ago when I heard the announcement for the inaugural panel.

Glad to be joining everyone again for the journey this year!:goodvibes

I seem to remember it being about a month between when I applied and when I heard about the second round....

going on a sometimes faulty memory her, lol, but i think last year the submit date was 9-8 and the first round find outs were notified around oct 11-12th. so that is about a month, like you said!

I know we had the big call to say if we'd made it or not on 5th November but other than that it's all a bit fuzzy, sorry :rotfl:

mmounsey, that is such a sweet video! That's so neat that you and your husband surprised them! My parents did that for my brother and I when we were young. It's just about the best surprise vacation a parent can give!:goodvibes

Aw, thanks! :cloud9:

It was so much fun, but I could hardly keep the secret!:hyper:

We're hoping to make a similar video this December when we surprise our kids with a trip! It's hard keeping the secret, but I think it will be so worth it, especially after seeing your video. :goodvibes We're trying to think of a way to surprise them between picking them up from school and going to the airport. :yay:

I made up little 'suitcases' (small, colorful, cardboard type) filled with some Disney treats/toys...they still didn't figure it out. I saw one post where someone spliced a WDW planning DVD with the beginning of AFV, then there own family vacation photos added too...

I like the idea of putting on the planning DVD or another Disney DVD on the way there (at least the drive to the airport)to give them hints...

I also saw someone who decorated their van with window chalk/paint saying "We're going to Disney World!"...but I think they might have been driving...

Or you could pick them up in a limo to the airport and have the limo guy with a sign saying something like "PixiePoppins Family Kids" on a Mickey shaped sign...

Have fun!
