Thank you everyone for taking time to read and think about what was said. Some of you jumped the gun and took offense. How funny would you think it to be if I told you I was from one of the Naughty states I listed out? Did I use broad gerneraliztions? Did I word some phrases a little too strongly? Did I intend to offend and make you feel unwelcome in your disney home? No. I want you to feel welcome and at home. I want you to feel like you are family and that we are all working together to preserve "one mans dream." This is what I am trying to do with my kids. Now please do not write me off as bitter or an evil person. Maybe I was wrong in posting but I have really loved the dialog that has been going on. Please take to heart the Golden Rule and do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Because your actions effect everyother DVC family. Take this to heart and please feel at home. We do want you to be happy. Just understand that we are really on the Same team and that we are all working together!

i just wish you would have used words that were more carefully chosen, and better judgement in singling people and groups out on socio economic and geographic bias's......................but i think i understood why you said it and what the meaning was, but i still did not like it or its implications.....................god forbid if i ever get my hands on any list......................but then again maybe i am nuts too..........i know some folks here think so!!

I understood perfectly what you were saying, I also believe you were guilty of the vary things you accused me of. But, as I said.. I don't advocate your dismissal, but I think you would do well with the gators.

Last time I checked, over 13,000 views have been recorded on your post.. that is a lot of eyes looking at your fellow cm's at the front desks. I'm sure they will appreciate the scrutiny.

Even with all the danage you may have done, I must credit you with the good your thread has brought forward too. You have caused a lot of us on this board to do some self evaluation, and perhaps bring an awareness to the forefront how we interact with each other and with those responsible for making the happiest place on earth what it is. your delivery sucked, but my appreciation is genuine.

I've had a lot of fun the past few days, and have learned a good deal from and about my fellow disers as I am sure a good many others have done. Thats a good thing, and I look forward to future discussions and dismeets at WDW.

You sure did liven up a dull board, I just knew you had to be from joisey.

I just read your original post and you are dead on. I hope more members read it so that they (the naughty ones) can see how foolish they can be at times. Thanks for the view from behind the desk.

I started reading your original thread and had to stop once the heated replies began rolling in. None of it mattered to me anyway as I'm sure it didn't apply to me (well, except the part about being trailer trash because I bought in 2004, instead of the "Golden Years").

Here's the question I have for you: Now that your brought this to light and perhaps had some impact on the small number of members represented in this forum, what steps are YOU going to take to help insure that WE do not have to deal with a "naughty" Cast Member? This seems like a two-way street to me.

As I've said in other posts, I've never had a problem with a CM worth remembering. I've never treated a CM with anything less than the respect due any human being.

But I gotta tell you--your post now brought to light the fact that there is this group of disgruntled CMs who are predisposed to "hate" (your word) DVC members. Admittedly, now that I am aware of this attitude, I'm really not sure how I will react to subpar service the next time I check into the Boardwalk or walk the parks in my SSR cap.

So, my question for you is what are YOU going to do to alter this predisposition amongst yourself and other Cast Members?

I have been a member of these boards for several years. When I read the original thread, I could totally understand why CM's hate DVCer's. I have read too many posts about DVCer's whining about not getting the exact room they requested or location, or close to the elevator, etc... These are so trivial and a minor part to my vacation I can not understand why people would complain and be rude or mean to CM's because this is where their room is. I understand about S/NS because of many issues, but the trivial complaints drive me nuts and I can understand how CM's feel having to hear it every day.

I agree with tjkraz. This new post sounds like back peddling to me. Your original post was mean, including the post title. It sounded very hypocritical.
