I do know that I am going to petition for a shorter Christmas break from school next year. I mean really, how many days do these kids need? Anyway. Christmas day and perhaps the day after then right back to school for them. I'm ready to go back to work too. It would be nice to have to take a shower before 3 pm some day. And, what's with all these friggin Christmas cookies and who eats fudge (by the fistful)? Why do I think I HAVE to eat all of those white covered pretzels? How many DiGorno pizzas can one guy eat (in a day, in a Christmas break)? How many movies with popcorn can I watch? How many times do I have to hear my 10 year old son beseech me to come and WATCH him play Guitar Hero with his sister? At least they are placing $1 bets on who can get a higher score. But, why does the Quasicade have to play the music SO LOUD? How many marathon sessions can one guy stand at the casino? I think I need to go back to work. Now. And, you guys have been going on a posting frenzy major. Good luck with popping the kid out MommyP.

On the way to work this morning, I passed the second entrance to MGM, and the traffc was horrific! 2 lanes of traffic backed up for a mile!
Knitfreak reported that on Tuesday, that by 2pm they had already filled one side of the Epcot lot to the end, and they were parking at the end of the second lot.(and those are some HUGE parling lots!) I tried to stop at the Hess station right there this morning, you could not squeeze a single car in!

Not a good time to go for a leisurely trip!

After I dropped Hollywood at Epcot cast parking I sat in traffic just trying to get past MGM. It was insane. And then I hit the gates to the Magic Kingdom and that was unbelievable too. I don't know why anyone would want to be down here this time of year.
Side story: today I was sitting at the light at Bonnet Creek and I was thinking wow, this is a long light. And then it hit me that it's the light you always complain about!!! It made me laugh.

Thanks. What is face book? Spongie is in to My Space, but I'm kinda not. I don't have time.

Facebook is like myspace only better. Trust me. It's a hotT college chick thing.

I was off today. We just went to the gym and the pool and then went to Coronado Springs for dinner and then to Downtown Disney just to walk around a bit. I am very proud to state I spent no money. Impressive, I know. Now I'm watching some movie with my sister's roommate and not paying any attention to it.

Wendy - Glad you made it through helk weeks with those kids. Ivy ruined my pack n play once and her Mom never did replace it, even though I continually reminded her about it. Now she's pregnant again. I keep forgetting to e-mail her a congrats and do you need a sitter? Only next time, I won't be letting ANYONE ever use my baby stuff again.



I'm fixing to head to the Dr's. My last appointment. If I wasn't being induced on Monday I would have refused to go to anymore appointments past my due date.

The link inspired me to investigate more on my own. No I know what to do. I think.

I am finally back from running the roads tonight. Went out to dinner with my cousin while she is up from Florida, her sis, my sis, DD, and another friend. We tried to get into the new Japanese steak house, but I didn't think to make a reservation and they had no tables until 8 pm So we went to a different place that turned out to be pretty goog.

BTW, hubby was up most of the night with a stomach virus or food poisoning. I have been compulsively scrubbing my hands and am alcohol wiping the doorknobs and such. I am hoping it was "just" food poisoning. In other words, I better not get it!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was bad enough being awoken by the sound of retching at 3:30 and 5:00 am. At first I couldn't figure out why he was yelling. That was what it sounded like through the bathroom wall :


Mony, I was reading back through and saw this! I'd love to play Scrabble with you if you feel like joining Facebook. Like I said, the nice thing is you can play your moves whenever you see it is your turn again. I played with my sister and DD, but neither want to play again since I won I tried telling them that is how you improve your game, but no luck.

Cel joined up and added Scrabulous, so I'll be playing with her shortly!!!

I once watched a couple of boys temporarily when I first started out. Their mom worked at a Tim Hortons. I'll never forget this one day she pulls up the drive. Cig hanging out of her mouth, grabs both boys still in their one piece pajamas that zip up, holding both kids at her sides from under their arms and waddles up my porch. Dead winter. No coats.

Here's their clothes she says I'm late and leaves all from the porch.

I look at the young one about 2 years old and he is soaked from pee. Now almost frozen on his skin from the cold. I unzip his jammies to put him in the tub and there is a donut stuck to his chest. Yes, a donut. With one little bite taken from it. No diaper on or underwear either.

I had them for about 2 weeks.

I should have known better when she called me that this was going to be a challenge when she couldn't find her son. While we were on the phone she was looking for him and found him asleep on top of the refridgerator.

TGIF! I'm painting today.

The dis has been painfully slow lately. Glad they are tweeking it up a bit. Hope it helps. Where does everyone go when the dis is down?

MommyP....GOOG LUCK on big numbers at the Dr. today. RE: marriage situation...DH and I were married in FL....by a notary. My mother still thinks it's not legal. But after 20ish years, it's common law I suppose. I don't remember if I needed my marriage license to change my SS card?

Winter break is speeding by way too fast. I am loving spending time at home with my girls!

This morning I had to get up early and take DH to meet his car pool, so I decided that since I was already out I woudl go grocery shopping. I stocked up on a lot of meats and cheeses because I am starting ATKINS today! I have sooo much to lose that it seems overwhelming, but for my first mini goal, I want to try and lose at least 15 pounds before my next WDW trip on Feb. 5.

What is everyone doing today? I might go out and spend a couple of my gift cards, now that the crowds have thinned out a little. I heard that 60% of gift cards purchased never get used. What's up with that? That ain't gonna be ME!!

Facebook question why would you want to use your real first and last name? Isnt that what we're told not to do?? I am so confused! I signed up for facebook thinking I could keep that part private, and bam, there it was for the world to see! Both DS' assure me they dont put pictures of questionable origin on facebook - and see there it is, IF you can keep those private, then how do future employers get access to your private photos, surely an employer (Melinda should know this!!)doesnt ask to be your friend before they "discover" THOSE shocking photos

TootSweet that would be me - I hate gift cards!! One year my cousinlikeasistertome called and asked if we had a Red Lobster by us, yes we do.. she got us a gift card - by the time we got the card, the RL CLOSED!! I went to the next town, CLOSED!! Never did use that card... and it was embarrassing... SIL gave me a gift card to Borders - we didnt have a borders within an hour's drive of us - never used that card (and gift cards take out $2.50 every month you DONT use the card!)

Last Christmas - fdil gave us a gift card for a restaurant, and DD a gift card to Blockbluster - dh and I were to go out, and she was coming to babysit. Never did use those cards...

DD got a gift card, a Visa Gift Card - so we went THAT day to spend it (it said specifically it takes out $2.50 every 3rd of the month - and that was in 4 days!! it costs the giver $$ to purchase the card, and the the recipient gets charged!! I HATE GIFT CARDS!!)

oh, but one poster said that the Visa cards - they have no way to read how much balance is on your card - you can go over, and not know it!! I find that hard to believe, but honestly every time we used that card the cahsier made us call to find out our balance!!

Illinois Jan 1 '08 will have a law that the cards CANNOT EXPIRE!! And they have 5million for people like me that think they have useless gift cards!!

What ever snow we get, will be washed away by the next days rain. We don't even follow the weather unless every channel is being interrupted by weather reports. Even then its questionable.

I'm doing low carb SouthBeachy-Kimkinsish starting yesterday. I got on the scale today and about cried! It's BAAAAD! I gained 5 pounds since last year. I swear!!!!! I need you Toots!

I cant do low carb... I've decided I need to wait until after the Half marathon, my stomach does flip flops just thinking of 13 days from now...

Mony hahaha very funny!! seriously its so easy and cheap to make it yourself, just start thinking about it around 4.... then around 5 go to the kitchen, grab the Sam's club size of instant yeast, throw a palm full into the kitchen aid mixer, add 1 cup flour, 4T sugar, 1T salt, blend, add 1 Cup warm/hot water and 3T melted butter... then keep adding 1/2 cup at a time, till you have enough flour to form that ball, put in bowl, cover with syran wrap for 20 min - then divide the dough, roll out putting it on the dark cookie sheets (dont use the alum cookie sheets, dough wont brown) then cover with Pam spray or melted butter - cover with syran wrap - - let sit for 30 - 60min.... make a sauce 1 can tomato paste, Italian spices, and water to your taste of thickness/thinness....

viola add toppings and cheese - and cook at 400 deg for 20 min!! Because we get the flour, yeast,cheese, tomato paste at Sam's club this cost about $5 per TWO cookie sheet size pizzas!! Enough to feed our 22, 19, 10 dk, dh, me and have leftovers for lunch for just me and dh the next day!!

That is your Martha Stewart moment for today!! YOU Can do it..

I am on a sort of low carb diet but it is called the Diabetic diet. I am allowed either two choices per meal or that equals to 30 carbs for main meals......breakfast, lunch, and supper and 15 carbs between the meals....sort of balances out my sugar. This is a good healthy diet and without my carbs I would be very depressed.......My diabetic nutritionist and educator both said that you need some carbs to keep your brain happy......alot of low low carbs makes people unhappy and depressed......I know at first I cried .....it was very depressing without my food that my body was used to...
So I had a cup of spaghetti and a little bit of sauce for supper last night and veggies........portion control is the most important thing to remember......one half of my plate should be veggies or salads or stuff like that......one quarter of it should be carbs and the other one quarter is protein......balanced diet and portion controlled..

Sandy...if you make your account private no one but people you have accepted as friends should be able to see anything. Not your profile, not pictures, not anything. We actually just got a lecture in class the other day telling us to keep our accounts "professional" and make them private.
