CHA CHING, Monica!

Including Norah, I have 3. The baby is asleep...or I wouldn't be able to type. Norah and the other 3 yr. old are eating Dora the Explorer yogurt. Then we will color.

A room???? O-Freaking-KAY! No kids, peace and quiet! Hmmmm. What would we do? Makeovers and pillow fights, duh. Room service? NO BOYS ((high Fives))...smirking.:p

The vet just called and said Buddy is doing fine. He is going to be so mad at me when he comes home I am sure......:lmao: I made hubby take him to the vet this morning.

W.T's -- also forgot the towel animal !!

Celery-- you still had your Christmas cards up..... for not talking to men, you talk to a lot of men.....:rotfl2:

Twinkie -- I found your Dr Pepper Cherry Chocolate pop. I was really surprise. Don't feed them all your food or you will have to go out and grocery shop with all those kids.....in a snow storm. :scared1:

Hi Nab! Glad to hear that Buddy is ok. I had real chocolate yesterday so I am not as in love with my pop. (Meaning I have only had one today- but don't worry the day is still young)

Funny you should mention my grocery situation: Lunch took an entire loaf of bread. And I had salad.
I am not WonderWoman like Monica... only 7 kids here: 3 teenage boys, 2 twinkie girls, 1 goldenchild and Baby Beurk.

SKIM WARNING: Quit reading now. Long boring paragraph follows.

I never even told you the entire carseat saga. I bought a new one. I used it for awhile to discover that in 6 years they had "improved" it by making it cheaper in quality but not in price AND using a different strap configuration which was far more inconvienent. I returned it. Used the old unsafe one for awhile. I hemmed and hawed. Read reviews. Discussed pros and cons ad infinitum... mainly with myself. Bought another, more expensive, heavier car seat with the straps the way I like them. Then I decided, what the helk!- - and bought the matching stroller (my other infant seat fit into the double and my single stroller is an umbrella type for kids who can sit up), and a pack and play. (I left my 6 yr old one at my mom's) I am so pleased with my decision to spend money which is unusual for me. I love all my gear. Soo, I am in the market for a new diaper bag. I have been using the one I got at a shower for the twins. (The backpack diaper bag given to me by a stranger in an airport (long story for another day) I wore out- all the zippers have broken)

So I am searching the web for a backpack style diaper bag and I find this website
http://www.dadgear.com/index2.cfm?CFID=12582253&CFTOKEN=51291514

Click on the demo (I can't post it here) for the DIAPER VEST.

Buwhahahaha!:rotfl2:

Menfolk- tell me your opinion. Is this a brilliant idea or would you rather wear a sparkly headband that says Happy New Year?

MEN baby gear???? What, are they handing our "I have a uterus" ball caps too?

NO WAY would a straight dude use an of that stuff. Uh huh.

I love diaper bags that don't look diaper baggish. Like no teddy bears or characters etc. MUST match the stroller (pinkie swear you'll match!!!).

Twinkie-- :yay: on all the new baby stuff. I must admit I love looking at baby stuff and don't even have a baby to buy for. I do say I am glad I don't have to pay those crazy prices now. The car seat with matching strollers were only coming out after I had Hannah. I did have a car seat you didn't have to buckle in the car all the time though. And our stroller from Nicholas was a Pram type from Perego(?). I loved it and still have it. It was great for walks but was kind of big for the mall so I got the umbrella type too just for that.

Men's gear....hum Hubby never went anywhere I didn't go so guess who changed the baby and carried the bag. I like how they show the backpack can strap on to the handle of the stroller but if it is an umbrella stroller that sucker is going to tip if said baby isn't in there....:rotfl2:

Mony -- did you survive the day?

Sandy -- How are your feet tonight?

HAHAHAHAHA! The Diaper Vest!

Been a long time coming!

Sounds like a good FATHER'S DAY present!

:lmao:

I am sooo tired. Not used to that many kids. My neighbor called to add her two to get off the bus. She got in a car accident and had to deal with that.

Now I have to get ready for class!

Sandy foot problems are the worst. I hope you are doing better. I lost a toenail when I didn't cut my fancy summer nails and went to the first basketball practice. Lesson learned.

Ya know, you guys could oohhhh and aaaahhhh more over my "As the Dis Turns" segment. You KNOW how much I like, no DEMAND, attention. Ha.

Tonight I am going to a high school orientation class for my daughter. I'm not old enough to have a kid going to high school next year. This stinks. Where is Lil G? I bet he could cheer me up.

Several hours later....

Marita's Husband: Maaareeeeta.

Marita: Yes dear.

Marita's Husband: What are you doing?

Marita: I'm STIIIIILL posting on the Disboards, of course. You silly goose.

Marita's Husband: Heh, heh, heh. (to self, I bet she's trying to say something clever to earn another tag) (outloud) Well Dear, I'm going to bed soon. (again to self, Don't say anything about lardbottoms) What are we having for breakfast?

Marita: I'm planning on sausage, eggs, toast and pancakes. Would you care for anything else?

Marita's Husband: No, but don't you usually make homemade bread in the morning too?

Marita: Well, I would but I have a surprise.

Marita's Husband: A surprise? What is it?

Marita: If it's OK with YOU I need to get to work a little early because I am going to have lunch with a co-worker and fellow Disboard Poster, TG.

Marita's Husband: RJ? Who's that?

Marita: Oh, she's very special. Her sister IS Ariel. I'm soooooo excited.

Marita's Husband: Hmmmm. Ok sweetie. You have a nice lunch with NP, but don't forget, I like HOT syrup on my pancakes.

Marita: How could I forget? I make them that way for you every morning. Ha, ha, ha. Good night Dear.

Marita's Husband: Good night Marita. (they then retire to the bedroom where Marita already has their single beds turned down)

I think WT deserves the Pulitzer prize!!!!!!!!!

WT, dont forget to mention in the next segment how I get up at 2AM to fix said breakfast, so DH can leave for work at 4 AM :)

Twinkie - Isn't new baby gear the BEST? I love my swing and pack-n-play. I've never had a new swing until Isaac. My car seat was still within the "safe" years to use it. Of course I'll have a hard time convincing Chad to get a new one when it "expires". He wonders how come the plastic in our cars don't expire yet baby seats do. I wonder too. :3dglasses

Loved the Dad Gear website. :rotfl: We have ordered a diaper vest in every color. :scared1:

Actually a real man will carry the diaper bag no matter what it looks like. When my hands are full you'll often find Chad with my cream and orange flowered oriental looking bag slung over his manly shoulder. :lmao:

At the movies on Saturday the girl said to him, "Would you mind having your backpack checked?" He stared at her blankly until she realized her mistake and said, "Oh it's a diaper bag". :rotfl:

Now I switched my bags and am using my "cow", which he hates and I'm sure he won't be carrying that no matter how full my hands are. :rolleyes1

Moo.....You mean Scrabulous is not Scrabble? Clearly that's got to be some copyright violation?
Yeppers, it IS the copyright violation that is the problem.

Moo: Do you listen to Bob and Tom? I catch them when I can. They are from Indy. I remember when they went national, it was a big deal 'round these parts.
I only listen to Bob & Tom when we travel together and DH is doing the driving :rolleyes1 Our rule is that the driver picks what we listen to, so he does most of trip driving (because that is the only way in helk that Rush is allowed to be on in MY car), LOL. He is a faithful Bob & Tom listener though. He was just telling me he listens to the Internet feed at work so he hears all the local Indy stuff. Our Internet at work is monitored, especially to make sure we're not using the excessive band width that radio-listening takes, but they are not as anal at his office.

On a good day, I'm at 189 - which is exactly 130 pounds lost. I want to get as close as I can to 135 before I have the skin surgery -
so probably down to 150.

Ohmygoodness! (great use of ACK, btw) Not scrabulous! We should hire a lawyer to defend our rights!
Wow, you're doing so great on the weight loss! :woohoo:

A ton of Save Scrabulous groups have popped up this week. I sure hope they are able to work something out. The developers have proven that they can get a very user-friendly version to work on-line and their are tons of built-in players.

just so you know I"m reading and add my AAAaaaCK!!!!
Figures that we would get addicted and THIS happens!

Celery-Not Voldemort as e-bay reference. I was referring to the person I'm not supposed to mention or talk to but still always do in almost every single post on this thread because he/she is my deer friend. In Harry Potter V was referred to as He who shall not be named. See the funky parallel? :upsidedow Glad you are still OK. Glad the move is coming along. Miss You!

Moo- Oh Noo! Not Scabulous! Hopefully it'll be fine!
:rotfl2: I toadily got your Voldemort reference, Wendy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goog thing you're not hooked on Scrabulous yet :upsidedow

Moo-- Does that mean they want to take you game away? Oh no!!

Buddy is at the animal hospital getting neutered today. We decided to declaw him too. When we adopted him it said we couldn't but the on the bottom of the agreement it said they wouldn't give us a rebate on neutering if we declawed so the vet said it was an out,so your not breaking the contract. Believe me that was a hard decision for me. I read the websites and how they do it but he was scratching everything, pulled my curtains down and I thought Hannah would be better off and not so afraid of him.
Thanks for the moral support. You still need to get your own Facebook account, missy!

I'm happy to hear you found an "out" on the declawing. If I had a cat, there would be no question on that for me.

Moo, WTHey? How can they even THINK about taking Scrabulous away from us????
Tell me about it!!!!!!! It's just like when I find a product I love and they discontinue it or change it so I don't like it any more

Now I switched my bags and am using my "cow", which he hates and I'm sure he won't be carrying that no matter how full my hands are. :rolleyes1
WHAT?! He doesn't like the "cow"?!!!

Twink, I got a big kick out of the diaper vest :lmao: I can't think of a single dad who would wear such a thing.

And WT, you are a comedic genius :worship:

OK. Off to see how badly Lynette is whomping me at Scrabulous today!!!!!! I'm not feeling the love from the playable/high scoring tile gods lately.

My sister just emailed me and told me that my nephew was beat up by 5 guys last night and his skate board was taken. :sad2:

He was away from home. He goes to college out of town, he is 18. He is home tonight. I just hope this doesn't scare him so bad he decides want to go back to school. He is a great artist and is taking graphic design. He wanted this so bad and we helped him get there.

hello everyone......

Today was a screwed up mess......started off I heard a noise and it was coming from the second floor apartment.......so I know that I have to go upstairs and check it out......get the key and go and listen and realize it is the smoke detector.....we have the hard wire ones and battery backup.....so I sniff until I hyperventilate and find NOTHING......cant unplug the stupid thing to shut the thing off.....so I call Hubby at work.......he says go and check the third floor apartment too to make sure .....so I go and sniff until I start to hyperventilate again......nothing ....so then he says check the back halls taht lead to the two apartments...so I do and sniff and sniff and more sniffs....nothing.....and then I call him and tell him that .....he says check the celler well yah brian........so I am done and he tells me how to take the noise maker out of the ceiling...so FINALLY I did it......no noise.....just one lone bleep at the end......Hubby picks up new one when he returns.
SO I have exactly 24 minutes to get my self together to get to the diabetic clinic for my six month talk to........MY A1C was pretty darn good........that is a blood test that tells the doctor where my blood sugars were for the last three months.....and I did GOOD.....phewwwwww..

so get back from there and check out the house again cause hubby wants it checked every hour to make sure......never can tell with old apartment blds..

NOW we have street signs in the snow banks that say....do not park snow removal.....Oh great.....no sleep tonight cause they do snow removal in the middle of the night.....new storm is coming in after midnight and it will change over to sleet , ice and freezing rain.......aint life great......NOT....

so I missed your chatter today but will read it tomorrow PROVIDING they have school..dump and runs......DID I mention I hate snow .....and snow days,,,,we are already making up four days.....

Oh Nabbie, that is horrible  Over a skateboard??????

I hope he will recover and get over it soon

Pumba -- our smoke detectors did that too. They are only suppose to last 10 years but I didn't know that I though hard wired meant they would last forever....:rotfl: Nope. Glad there is no fire. And :yay: on your great sugar levels.

I wanted him to win Marita. Nelly should have gone home....she should have gone home last week.....:lmao: And Carol too.

Yes, Nab, I think it will be a lot less interesting without him now (:

Oh, no, Nabbie!!! :grouphug: I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew's trouble. Sure hope he is OK. Please keep us posted.

Yay, Marie, for doing so well with your test! :dance3: Bet it's a relief to have that over for a while. I hate when stuff happens with the house and DH isn't home.

It was spitting a little snow/sleet on my drive home from work. Yuck. The wind is howling tonight too. It's supposed to get colder again this weekend, so it must be blowing in tonight.

I saw the doc this morning and he said my toe is healing fine. It was a hassle to have it done, but I'm glad I did.

One of DH's aunts passed away this week, so we went to the visitation tonight. Hadn't seen any of those cousins for years. It was really interesting to see them and their kids, many of whom are grown now.

Moo-- sorry about DH's aunt.... Isn't it funny that we have reunions at funerals or weddings. I haven't really seen my cousins in awhile either.

I saw you posted on the petfinder thread on the CB board. Someone asked out long you had the puppies.
