I will have to find internet somewhere along this trip to see any updates. Some campsites actually have wireless now and cable....isn't that funny.

How else can you get away from it all? It actually cracks me up to go camping and end up next to Mr. TV/Stero/Laptop/Cellphone.
Of course we don't camp anymore, Mr. Twinkie's idea of roughing it means using only 300 thread count sheets....

ack the pressure! you do know this is a much wanted but as yet very mythical trip, right? I figured out how much we would have to save per month and but I bet I will find a way. I hope to find another teaching gig. Then of course early December will be bad as that is exam season. The old conumdrum you can either have time to take a vacation or money to take a vacation.

But really I get all teary eyed just thinking about a first birthday celebrated at the Crystal Palace.

I am such a mush.

I seem to be suffering from lack of activity. Hubby and I were just discussing it. Time seems to be creeping by today and I think it's because we went nonstop for so long. Kinda weird really.

You should go to Eureka Springs Arkansas and stay at the Haunted Crescent Hotel. Goog times.

Has anyone actually gone to WDW the week of Christmas?
How bad is it?
Would it be worth it just to have a meep meet?
I want to see it at Christmas sometime. And I don't mind not riding rides. But I don't like to be touched by strangers.

Going the last two weeks of the year would be better for us anyway.
Tammy's office shuts down completely and since she gets limited vacation, it makes sense for us to go places then.

Plus we'll have a foster kid (or maybe even an adopted one by then!!!) and that'd be the time to go with them.
Hmm.

The rooms are not booked. They are not released into the system yet.

And this kid better not be born anywhere NEAR Christmas week cause I am due Dec 2nd and I have always felt that 8 months were plenty enough time to be pregnant.

And I don't want to go Christmas week because it is crazy mosh pit crowded.
Dec 19th was bad enough. And my DH isn't allowed to take more than 3 days vacation between Dec 15 and 31. How is that for wIerd?

So I was thinking the first couple of weeks of Dec (between the thanksgiving and christmas crowds) or right after new years 2009. I think the crowds die down pretty quick and if I am teaching I prolly won't be back in class till Jan 13ish.
Also I have bizarre hopes that the 2009 dining plan will be better than the 2008. A long shot? why yes but hope springs eternal.

So celery- we have 435ish days to plan and save?

how many dollars a day is that? hmm....

The Christmas decorations are up by Dec 1st. Maybe even earlier. January might have pirate/princess parties.

But thinking of all grasshopper's cyberaunts makes me feel warm and fuzzy....

Hi,Celery! It WAS dirty. And HOT. Like 100,000 degrees.

The night before we went Lisa and I went to the grocery store. I HONESTLY asked her if we were going to get dirty. She looked at me like I had three heads. Then she fell out of the car.

Yes. I fed her anyway. I'll post a pic of Richard when I get home. (No pics were taken of me. I was too busy being a whiney baby.)

Christmas week would never work for us either, Celery. Florida Resident AP's block out between Dec. highteen and Jan first coupla days. But I think the Christmas decorations are up now at Thanksgiving. Last year they started MVMCP mid November and I think they were up then too. I also think the week RIGHT after Thanksgiving is the slowest of all Nov/Dec time. We went the next week and it wasn't too bad, but it was no Sept.

Early Jan also works good as it will be right after Manna's birthday and Kaleb's is actually on Jan. 12. But, no Christmas decorations then.

Did somebody(UMA) say Mr. Toad? My sis is jn LA for a conference this week and is going to DL tomorrow. She asked what I wanted and I put in a request for anything with MTWR on it. If she finds anything, I will wear at MK on 9-9. I miss that ride.
BN I don't always cheer for the Colts, but I ALWAYS cheer against the Cowboys. I'm a Titans/Bengals/Vikings fan. Saw the Bengals whip Dallas 2 years ago in Cincy and loved it. Always cheered for Colts, though when Harbaugh was there. He was, at that time, technically an assistant coach at Western(WKU). His dad, Jack was the head coach and Jim did a lot of our recruiting.
Diamond mining, sounds dangerous, especially for us first basemen.

Moo the car's fixed, all but the roof. I'm gonna sand and paint that. Use a little filler too.
