Twinkie, we got rooms at AS-Music Sept 8-14. All three of the others are Disney virgins. And NO there will not be matching tshirts. Four guys all around 250 lbs in matching t's would scare anybody.

Nicholas finally passed level 6 And Hannah only started level 4 this week and only needs one more thing to pass that.

Moo-- My phone could have internet but we just don't have the service to it. I have no I idea how you could type a message with it though it would take forever.

Hmmmm, maybe you would have a keyboard on your screen if you had internet service? I can use a digital keyboard or my phone opens up and I have a small qwerty keyboard too (which I hardly ever use). Most likely you would have to use your keypad though and just press once, twice or three times on a number, depending on which letter you want to type That is what I had to do on my old phone to store names and phone numbers. Not very efficient.

Well, I have never professed to be, nor been called, gorgeous Lil G -- but I have always thought my DD is a cutie! And I definitely have appreciated my DH's fathering abilities. We have parented well together over the years and our DD is close to both of us. But she sure knows how to wrap her daddy around her little finger at times

I certainly agree that a good dad is important to a girl's self-esteem. My BFF's ex bails on his commitments to their daughter ALL the time. Every time she tells me he didn't show up to pick her DD up for the weekend or their scheduled weeknight, it ticks me off. I tell my friend that when she is older, her DD will look back on her teenage years and realize how great she was as a mom and how often her dad failed to come through for her.

I have a coworker who has a log cabin home in the woods and on a river. They heard some really loud growling outside their house one night earlier this week. Based on some rather large scratch marks on a log near the house and a torn up honey tree, they're pretty sure they have a bear in their woods!!! It should be interesting to see if they actually end up having a sighting.

They are going to be really careful while walking their dog in the evenings from now on!

Mommy P - you are right all the snow birds are back and our traffic is terrible. It doesn't help it is a holiday weekend.

Hubby took us out for supper and I had the best Boston Clam chowder. Moo was it you that had clam chowder not to long ago? They had crab legs too. It is a Chinese/ Canadian food buffet place. Ate way to much.

Twinkie-- nice that they all take turns. You brought them up well. You will have to move again so they can live near water once they have the surfing down.

Lil'g-- your welcome on the ground hog. Can I sent him in for a few days it is getting darn hot here.

last night we went to chinese buffet and I had clams and hubby had crab legs....I also had salmon and roast beef that was out of this world..delicious.....and red and juicy......I love food.....but only can have two carb choices per meal....so today started the starvation diet....its not that really but I crave carbs sometimes........the doctor said to have my carbs that I am allowed always.....cause it is important to our body and energy....so I will...

it was high 90s today and the humidity was horrible.......one rug rat with a cast on her leg ....we stayed in and loved the ac......even megara didnt want to go out to pee.....she said.....nooooooo mama......let me stay cool......so she did.....

I went out a little while ago and the air is just starting to calm down with some air ......hope it leaves us and just gives us the heat and no humidity...

Nab, I had some Campbell's reduced fat clam chowder recently. It is pretty darn goog for coming out of a can! I think we were talking about you digging clams when you were younger.

My DH had clam chowder where we visited the Outer Banks, but he didn't like how they served it. The clams were in the shells around the outside of a really flat bowl. So, you had to pick the shells out and there were only a few spoons full of chowder. Plus, it was like $7

I had a couple lemon drop martinis there that were made with fresh squeezed lemon juice. They were dinky (hence the need to have two of them, LOL) but super yummy. I also had pasta that was in a creamy white sauce with crab in it. It was excellent! I think our dinner for three was almost $100.

Pumba -- how do they serve the clams, still in the shells? Places do mussles that way but I don't like them as much.

My Dad was from Cape Breton so we use to go clam digging all the time in the summer. Bring them home boil them and just eat them. Yum. I like my lobster cold too since that is how we were brought up. No butter.

So I talked to my assistant this afternoon (the new one (knitting freek) I was reluctant to hire because I thought our personalities might clash.

I said "Thanks, you are fabulous!", She said, "I know!" Nothing like self confidence, LOL!

I had a whopper for lunch at 3:30 and am about to eat some mac & cheese hubby made.

Sleepng in tomorrow, yay!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the moo hooty for Nicholas. I am glad all my time at the pool this summer wasn't wasted. I called to see if I could get just Hannah in next week to finish her level 4 and there is now lessons next week at all being done.

Where has Poly been? Hope her mother is ok. Can't remember how many more sleeps she had left.

Not to mention how cute they are in there little bathing suits.

I told hubby today I want to go get my nails and toes done, all he said was you better get going.....I told him I can't just walk in and get it done like Marita and he looked at me funny, who is Marita....

I need to find a place to go first and find out prices.....was thinking of taking Hannah with me. Do you think that is a good idea? She is only 7.

NAB, go find a little place in a strip mall if you can that looks decent. Most are Vietnamse places around here.. Most advertise as just nail places, rather than hair and nails.
The big spa's and salons charge way too much. And no, I think Hannah would get bored really quickly, you better leave her home. Heck, I get bored with getting fingernails done, but then I get the long drawn out fills, rather than just a paint job.
Pedicures on the other hand are heavenly! You can sit back and relax and enjoy things, but again, probably not something a 7 yr old would enjoy just observing.

Just go by yourself and enjoy it!

Bug spray and sunscreen is the worse. You never feel clean.

The kids alway look sand blasted when they at the beach because of the sunscreen.....

Maybe they are eating smores.....
