we are back.......we had such a great time with all the descendents from the Lavallee Pack......there were 87 adults and 34 kids.....and not everyone was there.......quite a few could not get their vacations at the same time to travel far......Food was incredible.......it was a food fest from noon on Saturday until 2 pm on Sunday.....food..food..food.......I even have pulled pork for the first time too....and my Aunts recipe for raisin squares that was finally duplicated to be like hers.....she passed away and naturally there was no recipe to be found.....that family had 7 kids and we were 6.....so when we got together (in the 50's) we had a time of our lives.....
we also got a booklet with 200 pages of geneology.......the French Canadians did an incredible job of keeping records.....so our family tree is perfect....
Missed the boards and especially all of you......sooooooo

WHATS NEW

GOOD MORNING, MOOVERS!

Fell asleep watching Grease last night. I wondered how Nick @ Nite was gonna get around some of the song lyrics...namely Greased Lightning. My girls loved Grease when they were little but the racy parts went right over their little heads. Anyway, we enjoyed it and sang along with DH laughing all the while.

UD....Love the barber shop logic on God's existence!

Thanks! It's not mine but I thought It was a simple way to explain... I thought Lil'g's was great!

Love Grease cool show:cool1:

GoodMoOOOOOrning All...:)

hi Kay!

twinks - of ccourse it's the same. You and I together can solve any crime! I've watched almost every CSI there was, seen most Murder She Wrotes at least twice, watched many seasons of Law and Order, read almost every Agatha Christie, JD Robb, Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson book. I've only read one of the Lincoln Rhyme series (I think that's the name), but I can do a crash course if needed.
We can combine our Bio and Chemistry knowledge and be the best darn medical examiner slash (I love saying it instead of typing it) district attorney slash lab tech slash DNA specialist slash detective slash mystery writer slash lab teacher slash overpayment coordinator the world has ever seen!

Muahahahahahahaha!

ok.
Dorks of the world untie!

I'm cuckoo this morning cuz my Outlook crashed. Waaaah! And people are getting evil messages saying my email can't be delivered and not to send it again.
And the gubbermint is supossed to be sending me my PIN to finish filling out the FAFSA.
Do you think they'll resend it?
No. I'll have to reapply. Which will take another 3 to 7 days.
Only it's time for a holiday! EEK!
And I emailed the University with some questions. What do you want to bet the one time they respond, it will be while people are getting return messages?
And I need Vlad (super smart computer guy from Russia) to get me some data, but I can't email him and tell him.
Eek!

Ok. That is all.
Hi everyone else!

Hi everyone else!

Untie? THAT is funny, Celery!

Pumba- LOVE pulled pork. It's good eatin'.

So as a thread group, are we all gonna be watching big Brother together? I say on night ONE we each vote who the big weinner (winner) will be. K?

Kay- what arrrrrrrrrrrgh you doing? I sure do miss you!

My houseguests left some spendy shampoo and conditioner in my shower!!!! Wooo Hooo! J/k. I called and asked her if she was missing someting. She said she didn't know. So I told her she'd be guessing what she left behind pretty soon.

Jordan wants his laptp to download some music (so it'll be even MORE slow?) so I dunno when I'll be back. Later Kids!

Well count me out for the group watch of Big Brother. We never cared for that show. It always just seemed like a grown up Real World. Too racy for my blood. ;)

Moo - We had a wedding last weekend, not this past one. We went to the beach on Sat.

Sunday Morning I got a call from my sister that she was having some bleeding, so we rushed over to sit with her and calm her down. It was light and it stopped and it followed "relations". So hopefully everything is okay. She was very upset though, so was I. She goes for an u/s this morning around 12. Hopefully it's good news.

We're off to the grocery. Chad's home today for the 4th of July. And instead working on Wednesday.

He helped me clean the house this morning. :)

Hi MommyP Sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip. Did you get your new truck? I got lost somewhere in the stage of events that your old truck needed a lot of repairs and you thought you were buying a new one.

Celery Sorry about your misfortunes. A few of us would be happy to "untie with you." :rotfl:

UMA I think your computer had kapputed when I wrote about my assorted miseries from son 1 not graduating his senior year, daughter 2 failing 9th grade for the second consecutive year etc. Most of the drama over all that has sorted itself out. Flunkie 1 is finally taking driver's Ed this summer before he turns 21!!! as is his sister Flunkie 2 who is 16.5. Hopefully both will then get jobs and stay out of trouble. First, son needs to get his GED. Hey, at least he passed his driving permit test, so he is capable of passing a test. ;) Other than kid miseries, life is good. We're loading up eBay with stuff this week to help pay for our land purchase, which closes at the end of this month. How have you been, other than the computer issues?

Kay - Our truck needed lots of repairs a new transmission as well as a rebuilt rear end with an oil leak, bad left and right bearings and a new belt and some other part that goes with the belt thrown in for good measure. It added up to over $5000 that we only have $1000 of at the moment. So the rest has to be charged. No new truck for us. We like our $125 payment. What else could possibly go wrong now?

Celery - Yes my sister is pregnant. The younger one who was trying at the same time as us. She is due in Feb. Everything is fine. They heard a heartbeat and saw a jellybean with the u/s today. Thank goodness!

I am soooooooooo tired and for some reason my neck is SOOOOOOOOOOOO stiff and sore!

OUCH. All those repairs and a payment too. It seems like for so many repairs to be necessary the truck would be too old for you to still be making payments on it. Bummer. I hope after all this work it gets you through another few years. Vehicles are such a money pit, but few us of can live without them, so we make the best of it. My sister lives in Portland and takes busses and trains everywhere. No car. I wouldn't like that, either. I'd hate being dependent on a bus or train schedule, but she's used public transportation most of her life, so it doesn't bother her.

We have never and will never be able to afford a brand new vehicle and to get something large enough for our family it has to be pretty used. Which is why we have so many repairs. But we only had to finance a small amount which could have gotten paid off a lot faster(I was making higher payments) if work hadn't slowed down so much and we didn't just have all these repairs. Thankfully I make $400-$500 a month watching Ivy so that will pay the card off quick.

Hello, everyone! :wave2:

Back from the pool. Darn if I didn't burn my legs this time and NAB's not here to scold me. They are now a pale pink instead of their former reflective white I'm happy to say.

MommyP....We never get a new car either. We let somebody else break it in for us. The car I have now was 2 years old when we got it on Ebay for $6000. It has been a great car and never in the shop. AND 8 seatbelts! Kay is so right....cars are money pits. So glad your sister and the jellybean are OK. What a relief!

Celery & Twinkie....The super crime solving duo! Love it! I've read several Patricia Cornwell novels and I was so grossed out during the last one, I vowed never again. I've taken to reading primarily juvenile fiction and enjoy it muchly.

I bought my first new car in 05 (my corolla - I luve it!)

All the rest of my cars were between 17 and 2 years old.

Uh Ohhhh. Never ask "what else could go wrong"????
Sorry about your sore neck. I get that when I sleep in one position for too long. Ahhhh, sleep! Melinda said I couldn't take a nap. My crankiness is all her fault. But my good night's sleep tonight will be awsome!

Ok, I'll blame your kids ;) . All you can do is love em! Flunkie's need lovin' too...(easy for us to say, eh).

I've been fine, thanks! Just recooperating from having house guests all this last week.

I'm reading a great book, Kay. It's called, "We're Just Like You Only Prettier" Oh my heck, you'd like it! It's a series of essays (chapters) by a very funny southern lady. The author is Celia Rivenbark. Her last novel was titled, "Bless Your Heart, Tramp"....I can't seem to put the Prettier novel down. In my head she sounds like Celery (THANKS for being in my head, Celery!). Like she cold swiftly tell you off and you'd never know what hit you!

Ha! Do you think my accent is strong, Utah? Most people say I don't have much of one.

Uma - Yes, it's probably from sleeping in one position for too long. I never turn over in my sleep. I stay in the SAME position that I fell asleep in(sometimes with the TV remote still in my hand when I wake up hours later). Then I wake up to potty, then I go to sleep on my other side, then I wake up to potty, then i go to sleep on my other side, then I wake up to potty then I go to sleep on my other side. I think I only woke up 2 times last night so I probably was in one position for too long. ;)

I miss my sleep already. Ha!

If we get into our own house before this baby comes and we do a nursery then it should be interesting keeping everyone out of it until they baby is born to keep the secret! We can keep the door locked, but it'll be up to honor if the babysitter at the time doesn't look. ;)

Celery - I demand a change be made to your trivia. No more sports questions!

Luthor - What kind of 8 seatbelt car did you buy on E-bay only 2 years old and for only $6000?????????????????????? Did you have to travel far to get it?

Celery- to me your accent is as thick as Steel Magnolias. I can practically hear the mint julipe being drank and the collard greens and grits being prepared.

WHERE ARE ALL YOU PEOPLE?????????

HELOOOOO!

Anyway. Crystal, Mike, Anthony and Quentin bought their plane tickets. Woo hoo! so now I get to finalize my schedule. For the fiftieth time! :rotfl2:

And we got roped into taking their Honda Pilot on the drive. :confused3 I'm worried gas will cost us more, but I guess it's good not to put the miles on our car.
And it will be nice that all of us can go to the parks in one car.
But I hate being responsible for someone else's car!

Hey, Celery, et al..

Cel, glad your are getting to finalize your plans.

I cant get out of the BLAH mood I'm in. After big adrenaline high for a few weeks, then I was done (for the time being) and now get to redo budgets all over again and also this week do another forecast (who cares about this year, it's almost over, I need to work on next year!)
Anyway, been down in the dumps. I showed up for work at 11:30 today and left at 2:45
Anyway, starting tomorrow will be full speed for the next 2 1/2 months (including working the 4th)..

Oh Lexi, that show on A&E (Confessions of a Matchmaker) is a reality show. I saw your post and had to look back, I forgot, duh! It wasn't listed in my local TV guide for yesterday.
