Actually, I will probably wear my black work pants which are pretty light, I am not overly fond of wearing shorts in public.

Today I went to the Hess station to get a carton of cigarettes. They have the best price, $25.99, versus most other places around $30.
So the guy rings it up and says: That weill be $36.99.
That can't be right, I said. He said, the price went up from 25.99 to 34.99

That is a $9 increase!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I might just have to try this quitting thing again!!!!!

I tried patches, gum, filters, hypnosis, pills - nothing worked (You have to have your brain wired for it, and mine is not ready yet).
I am checking into Laser treatment now.

I know I do. Our poor old Corgi, Teddy, crossed the Rainbow Bridge today with some assistance from our vet. He was 14 and had been in kidney failure and had a big lump on his side for a while. I have been weepy all day too. Good thing we have our grandpuppy here for a visit, as that has been helping. "Grandpa" bought him a squeaky ball today and some rawhide strips. I'm sure we will be looking at getting another dog(s) after our trip.

Sandy, we are flying out of the Flint airport so we can get a nonstop flight and more reasonably priced parking, but we live closer to Lansing. Actually, I did live in the Flint area briefly when I was 5 or 6.

MommyP, you look so cute! Loved the picture of your hubby and Kaleb too.

PJ, I wore a blue shirt today but am not Catholic.

DTD, this is probably too late, but I hope you have a wonderfu trip!!!

Marita, my nurse practitioner mentioned something about a new medication that is available for those who want to quit smoking. She mentioned it to me because they are looking at it or something similar as an aid to weight loss. I don't recall the name, but I'll ask next time I go. Goog luck shopping! I bought some new nail polish today and am trying to stock up on travel size hair products, etc.

My DD is out to dinner with her cousin and his girlfriend tonight. She got her car fixed and off she went!

Twink, Caf, Nab, and others with little girls, I feel your pain on the stripper shoes. I cringe every time I see my niece's shoes and am SO glad I don't have to buy little shoes any more. Of course, in a few years they will be in the flip flop stage . . .

That's a good reason for being weepy.

I really don't have a reason for feeling this way. That's why it is so frustrating and aggravating. I have a good life, everyone is healthy, I love my job (most days). I don't know. Maybe it's the weather or season.
Oh well. Maybe I need a girls night out and go get a bellini.

Marita That is a hard one to swallow. My mom is addicted to cigs too, she has tried everything... at least once... I forget what she believes in... some pill... but in the end, she goes back to cigs because of what a Psychologist told her... that she views cigs as her "friend" (much like my addiction to food!!) They are there to calm her down... etc... some of it is habit, some of it is a craving, but a lot of it is emotional too!!

(Black pants in WDW??? I was thinking a black skirt for food and wine, but I only wear crocs and running shoes... but mickey crocs... Hope you find a cute pair - make sure nothing rubs on the side - I pronate so some styles are uncomfortable... oh, and those bumps, and how slick crocs seem - that doesnt last at all!!


Now all the bad things are DONE!! FIni!!

Thanks, Sandy, Cel, and Marita. I talked with my hubby about our dog a bit after getting home from work. He was the one who really thought it was time and it was much harder for me to accept. TG our Disney trip is coming up soon.

Sandy, I was born in Lansing too. Guess I'll need to sit by your hubby and chat about Michigan stuff at some point during the trip

Only in the way of bad news for expenses I need to transfer! Although the year is over in 3 weeks, so we can have a fresh start, and the boss can get a handle from the start. He was freshly promoted last year, and it took him a while, I think, to get things in order.

In the meantime, it is causing me ulcers!

Our first dalmatian died before our Disney trip one year......it broke our hearts.....we all cried for Jasmine.....We held her as her pain was taken from her....it was very peaceful....she was a young dog too......Now Megara on the other hand is still a brat......rofl......we didnt think we would ever get another dog but .....I told dh I was looking for a cockateil.......but the ones we used to have pooped on the ceiling....still have no clue how the bird did this ......so hubby said.....no stinking dirty birds and we looked and hubby found a breeder in NH and off we went........Megara picked us out.......we love having her here with us....she goes to the fat farm in 11 days......aka the Kennel or as hubby puts it .....Puppy play school......the people are so good to her and other animals......PLUS he and his wife LOVE Disney adn are going again in December.......they went in May right after we got back from Disney.....

Hubby and I are driving to see our granddaughter and bringing her some STUFF...like the new computer, a new case, (cause her case was for a 15 inch and we got her a 17 inch laptop) we also picked her up a new phone and some fruit in flip top cans ....and some applesauce, and crackers, and some paper plates and bowls.......and her sneakers for the animal lab which is in the barns.....oh yah the most important thing......TOILET PAPER....sometimes the bathrooms run out....so she will have a giant roll in case.......rofl

LOL about the toilet paper, Pumba, but so true!!!!!!! One of lifes expected conveniences, and when its not there .......... it's not pretty! I have used the paper toilet seat cover thingies on a few occasions, LOL!

I also feel the need to post a group hug. Rough day.

I had kind of a stressful night. My best friend who I'm very close to called me this afternoon while I was babysitting. She was sobbing and she has asthma so she couldn't breathe and I couldn't understand a word she was saying. Once I finally got her to calm down she told me a refrigerator had fallen on her (long story). The worst part was that I was babysitting so I couldn't go to her. I called my mom who went to be with her and I took the kids to their grandma's and then took my friend to the ER. A couple xrays and a few hours later, she has bruised and fractured ribs. Very painful for her, but she'll be fine. It was just so stressful because she was so worked up and I have a hard time remaining calm when those around me are crying and upset. She's been my best friend since 4th grade so it was hard to see her like that.

She's passed out on my couch right now after taking vicodin so hopefully she can sleep.

Hope everyone's Saturdays look better.

NOW you tell me . My fully lined black POLYESTER and tulle witch costume that weighs like 10 pounds PLUS thigh high black leather boots and BIIIIIG blonde wig should make for a nice night??? Not to mention the thing is so tight I might pass out! It has this Scarlet O' Hara lace up corset that whomever cinches me better be a body builder . Of course my body-builder-cincher will need to walk right next to me the entire night with a misty-fan and ice chips, and Masingil.

PJ....Hope your friend is feeling better soon. I know broken ribs can be painful. DH has broken his several times.

Dre....Some days I just feel sad too...not sure why....overwhelmed, depressed, hormonal. But I try to watch a sad movie and have a good cry and I usually feel better. (A bellini couldn't hurt either.) I hope you're feeling better too.

Moo....So sorry about your sweet puppy. They're almost like your kids when they get to be that age. My almost 16-yr old terrier is nearing the Rainbow Bridge too. She's a potty accident waiting to happen.

Twinkie, NAB, Lynette....RE: hooker shoes for the under 10 set....My girls are bigger than me now but I know of what you speak. I used to go to this cute little children's store in my neighborhood. The stuff there was expensive but very traditional. Anyway, even though I bought most of the girls clothes at Target, I always bought the cute traditional shoes. At different times we had them in red, white, navy, black but our all time favorite was the nubuck PURPLE. Which goes with all pink, red, lavendar, purple, and many other girly colors. Here's the selection. We had about 3 pair of the red ones in the lower right corner. Red is goog too.

MommyP! You look so cute!!!! You are just a baby yourself! And I would have never guessed that you were 5'2" and 3/4". You look much taller. And your boys....well....they are precious together!

TOlD our granddaughter to pick out a restaurant up there to go out and eat dinner....so she said ......Governors, Olive Garden, Applebees and Ruby Tuesday...she knows where those are......there are more but she has no clue on how to get to it......we will find food as we always do......I think she is excited to get her new computer.....and give us ours back.......

get this - right after I posted 5:44 am - our electronically connected so it never needs batteries FIRE ALARM went off!!

Just a loud brrrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRaaaaTTTTT - gets your heart rate up!!

I go look and no smoke... all around... settle dd assure her it was a "test".

Go back downstairs... ten min... and Yep BLARE AGAIN!!

DD gave up - so around 6:30 (and it was after looking thru the food porn thread, as wel as the Youtube videos of dd favorite rides... (oh and I told her I'd give her a $100 Disney Dollars!! so she could buy anything she wanted after the ride in those shops!) the food porn thread had a box of Krispy Kreams... hmmmm "Mom?" "Disney?" ok... LETS GO!!

so we went to KK this mornin!! NOTHIN like the Hot and Fresh NOW!! (2nd best thing is ten seconds in the microwave!)
