PJ: Ugh. That sucks. I'm sorry you have to deal with those difficult situations. I'll keep that little guy in my prayers.

Hope you guys have a nice long weekend.:thumbsup2

Allie - Got your card and gift yesterday. What a precious card! And the bows, oh my goodness, they are SO sweet. My poor little baldy won't be able to wear them forever though, but I used my creativity to transform them into something she can use now and later. I clipped it onto one of her headbands. :thumbsup2
ry%3D400

How sweet is she??????? Thank you SO much for thinking of her. Such a personal gift. I love them!!

Peej - How sad to have to watch those kinds of situations when there isn't anything you can do to help. My cousin was in a abusive situation when she was little. She had lice 24/7 because of her home life and even though the teachers are required to report it after so many cases they wouldn't. :confused3 Now she's grown into a drop out teenager who is living with her boyfriend and doing nothing but sleeping all day and partying all night. :headache: At least that little boy has you to mold his mind into something. :goodvibes

This is the first time I've been able to comment on anything because I'm usually nursing and can't type much. lol. She's not gaining weight so now I'm pumping all the time and giving her that too. My ped. knows nothing about breastfeeding, so I'm covering all my bases before I take her in. I'm making plenty of milk and she's getting it because she is very content and happy. So I know that there isn't a problem with that part of it. But I don't want to waste time with the ped. If she doesn't start gaining weight there has to be another issue, I'd like to skip straight to that instead of wasting time supplementing.

I'm glad for the 3 day weekend! :woohoo: I wish the boys had Disney tickets. Yesterday Chad texted me and asked if they did, but they don't. :(

Thank goodness for long weekends ....I second that.

Busy weekend ahead. Nicholas has a pool party with his baseball team, we are all invited, still have to go to the inlaws and pick up Buddy. He has been there a month!

Mommy P-- she is adorable love the "E" on her bow.

P.J.-- so sad about the little boy. Hope you can get him the help he needs, at least he has got you like the others said. What song is that you quoted?

Marita-- I think you should stop driving at night. Did you ever find your prescription glasses?

MommyP - I LOVE it!! Wow! It got there fast! I didn't mail it until Tues. afternoon. Way to work your creative skillz! ;) It looks lovely on her. Those kind of hairbows are nice too when they get older, 'cause you just slide it in. They tend to stay in better than barettes. Thanks for sharing, and glad you like the card. I don't make those for just anybody, just little princesses. princess::rolleyes1

Peej- I am so sorry for that little boy and that you have to watch the trainwreck that is his life. Just keep doing what you are supposed to be doing and hopefully the system will kick in sooner rather than later. I loved your Cinderella/Anastasia story the other day. My girls are also doing Venn diagrams for story comprehension/comparing and contrasting. One teacher read Mrs. Nelson is Missing and then they compared Viola Swamp to Miss Nelson. However getting real time texts from Anastasia would be much much cooler! Are you sure you don't want to relocate to the prairie???

MP- What a little beauty! So sweet. Also excellent hairbow retrofit. My girls are about past the hairbow stage. They are more high school musical than disney princess. However I am making them wear them whenever I can. After they comb their hair in the morning I offer to "help" them with the back and while I have them distracted I put bows in. Today one had a turquoise ribbon and the other pink.

Allie- What a great gift! It looks great.

NAB- I am glad you see the light at the end of the tunnel home renovation wise. Isn't the back to school season so busy??? (and expensive! all my kids needed new shoes then with school fees, club fees etc).

Marita- Be carefu driving!

Monica- Online math classes sound stinky. That is fo' sure.

Moo- I am picturing you at the Ren Fair(e)-tee hee :wizard:princess:

Original Prankster- I am going to emulate you too. Unfortunately I seem to have chosen Cinderella type duties and everlasting kid chaffeuring as the way to go. Maybe I'll have time to do something else BBN like... maybe I'll flirt with the pharma sales reps or go out with a bunch of crazy nurse.... hmm..:littleangel:

Update on Me-
Since I know you are all waiting patiently for incessant blather about dreck and drivel ;)

Work- Work is a lot of... well, work Three Stooges Construction Company continues to finish the renovation on my new classroom that was supposed to be done last month. However my old classroom was also renovated (same vendor) and last I heard they ordered the wrong bathroom stalls for the whole building and the correct ones were on back order. I could go on and on about this. And maybe I will. Later.

Kids Sports- All kids are currently not playing a sport for the first time in... well... ever. The DH is still finishing summer softball so don't worry about my lack of sporting events. My daughter retired from gymnastics a few weeks ago. I can't blame a 7 yr old for wanting to ride her bike and watch tv and play with friends after school instead of 3 hr workouts, 3 days a week. She did perfect all the skills for level 4 including the elusive round off back hand spring. It was her decision but now that it is over I am glad- my schedule would be crazy this fall and winter if she was competeing.

Baby- I am 19 weeks today. My doctor (Of fa'ar along fame) greeted me at my last appointment with "Well look who is showing" I am still on an extended cleaning and organizing frenzy. I don't know if that is hormonal, due to the lovely fallish weather or something else. :confused3

It's over!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:yay::yay::cool1::cool1::banana::worship::worship::dance3::dance3:
Long late night hours are done for a good long time, except maybe a couple of days here and there :cheer2: 3 day weekend ahead :thumbsup2

MP, Ellie looks so adorable in that bow (and without it too, sooo cute!) She certainly doesn't look underfed, LOL.
Allie, great gift!

Someone at work got a card for a girl that is expecting in California. It is like an ad for a car, listing features. The one that really cracked me up was the feature "Front and Rear emission system".
She gets 6 months off in CA with the extra benefits they have from the state. No wonder CA is broke!

Twinkie, YAY for no sports!

BBN, work is good for $$!

Think I am going to sleep in this weekend, do some housework, get nails done (yuck, boring) and do some general cleaning and :laundy: It will be a nice change of pace

Hello my Moovin friends! Happy Labor Day Weekend to you all! I read back, and would have quoted, but I am just too darn lazy. However, I do have this to say:

Peej.... thankfully, the Lord placed that child in YOUR classroom. You have already helped him, you know. By teaching him and giving him attention, by providing snacks when his own mother would not, by advocating for him with the principal and CPS, and who knows what all else. Be proud of yourself for what you've already done for him...it's more than he's gotten from his parents thus far. I'm sorry it's weighing on you so heavily. I am proud of you for speaking up for that poor little boy!!!!

MommyP, I think Ellie looks like Isaac. She's gorgeous! Natasha had trouble gaining weight right after birth too. And she was a big baby, like Ellie. She nursed regularly and ate well, but she just didn't gain the way the charts said she should. Plus, she grew in length pretty quickly, which made the slow weight gain more pronounced. Thankfully, my pedi disagreed with the head of the practice, who suggested supplemental formula. I stuck to my guns and we all eventually came to the realization that she's just destined to be a skinny kid. She eats like a truck driver (Peej can attest to this), but doesn't seem to gain. I should have that problem. Anyway, I hope that's the case with Ellie Claire too.

Twink, 19 weeks already? Remind me, did you say whether you were planning on finding out the sex of the baby, or no? Sorry your classroom is still in a state of chaos.

NAB, glad you're nearing completion on your basement. It must be great to see some light at the end of that tunnel!

Marita, YAY on a weekend filled with ho-hum chores and scheduled bum-laying. Enjoy!

BBN, love the new horse I saw over yonder. Y'all needed another animal out thar in Mamacantfindya, right?

Moo, Allie, Cel, Sandy, Mony, CelMama, et al: sup? What's everyone got planned for the weekend?

Hey all! quick driveby.

twink - thanks for the update.

nab - boys are weird! buy him pink underwear! ha. that'll teach him.

mommyp - she is beautiful!

ali - good job on the bow!

marita - yay for no more long nights! I can't believe you missed your own subdivision! :lmao:

big L - I hope school is going well for boris and natasha.

babynurse - hi! I'll have to check out the horse pics.

to sandy, lil g and all others - Hi!

peej :hug::hug::hug::hug: Thanks for all you do. hang in there.

I need to turn in. I'm tired!

I fell through breadman's porch yesterday. :rotfl: He had a rotten board and didn't tell me - I went down hard! I have crazy bruises.
oh well.

I got my reading done for the week, but I still have tons of assignments - and the next week with all new reading starts sunday! eek!
this semester is going to be rough!
but it will keep me from drinking.

I also cut out material for three pairs of pants. I hope to complete them tomorrow.

night all! I have a 7:30 am AA meeting I need to make!

Morning all....and what a sun shining holiday morning it is. :goodvibes

Celery-- ouch on falling though the porch. You have been spending alot of time with Breadman lately are you back together? Sounds like you are on the right track hope you made your early morning meeting, why so early?

Marita--:woohoo: for no more late nights. Enjoy the weekend.

Trying to get everyone moving this morning, then off to that pool party.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Nab - no, we're not together. but he's coming over tonight and staying tomorrow night too.
i dunno what we're doing. :)
it's confusing mamacel too.

I've got lots to do today. I'm going to cook several of julia child's recipes.
and I have to finish my pants, do some more organizing and do some homework.

all I've done so far is go to a meeting and spending more money!

hey you guys..

Busy here trying to get the stuff done in the house .....get some packing done without the dog seeing it......vegging too..

We had a standoff in our area the other day.....we could not leave the street or come to the house from the blocked off areas....the swat team was here from the state and the city police...probably over two hundred taking part in this.....20 hours of a stand off and they did tear gas and eventually found him dead of a self inflicted gun shot.......sad ......so that took up a day and a half and then no sleep either .....so vegged yesterday and I mean that.

About the breastfeeding.......do you have a breastfeeding consultant in your area....and not to be a downer .....but once in a blue moon ..even after multiple breastfed kiddos.......sometimes but not always ......the milk is not full of calories that the baby needs to have.......I know a lady that had a few (4) kids and her last didnt get the needed fat from her milk...Hope that is not the cause and its only because your little peanut is just to darn cute to want to be a chunky monkey...and loves her cyber aunties to gush over her........she is beautiful ......

Okey have alot to remember for this trip....and I do a little at a time behind closed doors so Megara wont see me.....she leaves for the fat farm on sunday night because the intake person wont be able to do that on Monday...she stays an extra day .......and we tried not to let her know. Our plane takes off Tuesday Morning EARLYYYYYYYYYYYYYy....6:30 am......we have an hour drive and they like two hours early for that ......rolling eyes big time...
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Twinkie - Are you going to find out what the baby is this time?

Pumba - There are lactation consultants at the hospitals in town. Since I know everything they are going to tell me I'm not going that route until I've tried everything I can do on my own. It's like $40 for a consultation. :( I doubt that it's a calorie problem, my last 2 babies also had gaining issues and they were also huge babies at birth. I'm going to weigh her tonight if I remember before she gets dressed. It's such a pain because I have to weigh myself and then weigh again with her. I always forget.

Lynette - She had grown an inch in length by 1 week, so that didn't help matters. lol.

Hope everyone's having a fun and restful Labor Day weekend. I've been catching up on my sleep this weekend! :thumbsup2

Peej - Your student is SO lucky to have you as his teacher :goodvibes Sending prayers for his home situation.

Allie - What a cute bow for Ellie!

MommyP - Awww!!! Thanks for sharing that cute photo :cutie:

Cel - Ouchie! :scared1: You need to be in peak condition for WDW soon :) Heal fast!!!

Marita - Glad to hear you're done with the long work days for a while. Less than two weeks 'til I'm in Florida. w00t!

Pumba - That standoff sounds like it was pretty horrendous  BUT, you're going to Disney SOON!!!!! I know what you mean about hiding the packing from the dogs  I'm still wearing a lot of the things I need to pack, so I haven't gotten my suitcase out yet. Maybe later this weekend. Our flight also leaves pretty early - 7:00 am - and we also have over an hour drive to the airport, but fortunately it's a small airport, so two hours prior isn't really necessary. But we do like to get there early enough to try to upgrade to business class.

bbn - Loved seeing your riding photos over on FB  What a cool thing to get to do with your hubby. Tomorrow, my hubby wants to go tot he Star Trek exhibit in Detroit. I "dragged" him to the Ren Fest last weekend, so I guess I have to go ;)

Twink! You still sound busy, busy, busy, even without sports going on! So do they have Hiney Hider stalls at the university??! :lmao:

Nabbie - We had a lovely sunshiny day too :sunny: I mainly just ran errands today and did a little shopping.

Lynette - Did you have a summery day? Hope you don't have to close the pool down this weekend. Your turn over on our games!

Hi everyone, checking in!

Unlike Moo, I did NOT catch up on sleep today. One of my alarms (loud to the MAX radio) went off, I dont know why :confused3 So I got up at 6:30, read the paper, then did some work automatiting a file that was a real pain in the hindqaurters to update manually every month. But that was really fun to do and will save lots of time in the future and eliminate errors that were easy to make manually, so WOOHOO!

I finally finished the baby blanket I started. Not good enough to send to anyone though, LOL. I'll either keep it for a potential grandchild or donate it to charity. So now I am trying out new patterns with some leftover yarn. Nothing too complicated. I'll try to get some yarn tomorrow if I can get my lazy behind out the door.

DH bought liver months ago, it's been sitting in the freezer. I got it out today and put it in the fridge, might make that tomorrow. Haven't made liver and onions in ages.

I meant to get nails done today, they are way past due, but really did not feel like it. I considered going briefly this afternoon, ubt a storm was brewing, so I didn't. I called to see if the are open Monday, but of course not! BUTTTTT!!!! I got an offer from a new place that just opened in the same shopping plaza, same price plus 10% discount AND they are open Sunday AND Monday, so I got two more chances.

Thursday I have a birthday lunch at Sanaa at AK for a girl at work (out of pocket). I think I am getting the bread plate, nothing sounds really good to me. Friday is a potluck at the office.

Cel, I second (fourth?) the ouch on the falling through the porch, that's scary!

Pumba, safe travels and have a wonderful time! When you are in MGM, stand in front of the hat and wave to your right (I think)

Everyone

My sister had a seizure, passed out and is in the hospital.
sound like deja vu?
yep. same thing happened last weekend with my brother. only they weren't sure it was a seizure.
this one definitely was - my mom, dad, brother and sister were all at a church potluck when alli started shaking and went down.
my dad says she was out 5 minutes, my brother says 10.
I'm not sure.
she had blood coming out of her mouth, but my dad says they think she bit her tongue.
one of their church members is a paramedic, so that was helpful.
I'm at the ER now waiting to hear something.
Gotta love wifi in the hospital!

prayers would be appreciated.
for my brother as well.
he's super paranoid again and thinks this is all a sign of someone out to get us.
:(

Prayers for the Celery family

That really sucks, sorry all this is happening to you all

:grouphug: Celery - and Cel family :grouphug:

definate prayers - May you feel the peace of the Lord surround you at this time - as decsions are being made - may the wisdom of the Lord be with you all!!

Anybody have a clue, especially about the bread? I heard good things about it, but I no clue what the breads are. My likely choice for lunch on Thursday.

OK, I googled them, DUH!

I think I settled on bringing a 7 layer dip for our "International" potluck on Friday. Never made it before, but it got a solid 5 stars with 873 reviews on whatever site I found it on. Gotto go shopping for ingredients tomorrow. Sounds easy enough.
Still did not get nails done today, UGHH! BUT, I did buy yarn to make another baby blanket, pink this time.
[/FONT]

Celery and Celemama-- :grouphug: How scary for you. Prayers and pixie dust for all of you.

Marita-- I only know what roti is. The rest have know idea except for the hummus.

We finally picked up Buddy today. Only got home. He went right into his bed he had here and hasn't come out yet. I told the kids not to chase him let him come to them. Harder said then done.

One more day and the kids go to school. Hopefully we all can sleep in tomorrow.

continued prayers and :grouphug: Cell family!

Marita somewhere I saw a picture of naan bread because of how its made, and how they grab it out of that oven there is a hole in the middle of the bread - I think its like pita bread... i googled naan bread + disneyworld! :)

Nab poor buddy! DD went back to school last week - 4 days last week - 4 days this week!

I hope its my turn to go to school soon! I need a paycheck!
