Happy Birthday Allie!!!!!!

BBN - Thanks for the gifts! You're the bestest yourself!

Moo - I could use that right about now. After my race, I went to Kohl's (local clothing store) to get my best friend (who also shares my birthday, same year and everything) a gift card. Well, when I walked in, something shifted in my right knee and it has been hurting off and on all day. :headache: I've taken my NSAID, but didn't do my ice bath since it was just a 5K, and been wearing my knee brace all day. I may have to do it later. I'm not sure I'm gonna run on it this week, as to not hurt it further. I'm just hoping I strained it, and can ice it and medicate it and make it better.

41 ain't starting out to well. :rolleyes1

Twinks
- :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Yep, that's what they look like right before they go POW!!! into your windshield! ;) Sorry about the next round of pink eye. Please keep it on the prairie though. Thank you very much! ;)

Race results are finally up. I did my race in 36:51. I was #17 out of 20 in my age group. They still had me listed as 40 which is just fine by me. ;) I was 349 out of 413 overall. Not too bad in my book. :goodvibes

Morning Moovers.

Allie: Again, Happy Birthday. I really hope you just need to rest your knee and it's nothing serious.

I have a bridal shower to go to for on my of Day Care moms. I just want to go and have 2 hours of peace from my chittlins. That's not bad right?

We spent a beautiful afternoon at the park having a pic-nic and playing with our kids. Love the park next to Lake St. Clair. There are many, but we like Brandenburg alot. It has a pier and boat launch and pavillions, and when it's officially open, public restrooms, not just the portopotties.

<-------Not a fan of portopotties. Just saying.

Have a beautiful gorgeous and blessed Sunday.

Sushi for breakfast is good! ::yes::
I hung out with Jason and addie last night.
we went out to eat with their neighbors.
and I shared my knowledge and destroyed a life!
ha.
So the wife neighbor is vegetarian.
and orders a caesar salad.
:scared1:
so I'm thinking maybe she's one of those vegetarians who eats fish.
so I tell her - "You know they put anchovies in caesar dressing, right?"
"What's that? a vegetable?"
"No. it's a fish."
"Oh, I get them mixed up with artichokes. Thanks a lot."
Just spreading the love! :rolleyes1
I decided not to tell her that they're in worcesthire sauce too.

Peej - you knew that, right?
what vegetarian doesn't do research?
they feed their daughter meat, so that's good. and the dad eats fish.
PEej! When you have kids, you better let them eat Meat!

I saw you on Ellen! me and Jason just watched the first few minutes until we saw you.

I'm procrastinating still.
school is for punks and losers.

 Moo'vers!

:surfweb:

I;m restless today - its Sunday...

Yesterday we went to Chicago to the German Restaurant - Brahaus - had a 2L beer in a glass boot!! We shared that one - you have to leave a credit card, just in case! We got 1L beers in a HEAVY glass - that was neat, like in Munich Germany (the travel channel Samantha Brown show Oktoberfest!) They even get their $7 pretzels from Munich!! It was fun - 7 people and the tab was :scared1: Food was $20 per person, and dh bought the 1L mugs for the boys - I laughed - we havent given our son a Birthday Party in 11 years!! This was definately a Birthday Party for him! (he turned 21!)

Cel, so are things all goog again with you and Jason?
LOL at destroying that poor womans life.
I don't have school anymore, but I have to finish a project for my old job today. I got the analysis done yesterday, but now I have to right up assumptions, executive summary and put it all in Powerpoint.

Twinkie, I LOL'd at the goose picture. That was funny (in retrospect, I know no fun at the time for poor Allie)

Allie, congrats on the race results, YAY! Hope that knee straightens out for the big race. Hope you have a great time at the park (despite porta-potties)

Mony, YAY for some time away from the kiddos for a bridal shower, what fun!

Not much to report at the Backstage house. The repairguy came 5th time in 2 months to fix the icemaker yesterday. He said he doesnt know what is wrong! He was very apologetic. Now, we have used this guy for 25 years, he owns the company. Anyway, he said he will come back Monday with a NEW icemaker AT NO CHARGE!
Gotta live old Rich  I just hope the ice I bought Friday night lasts till tonight.

DD is taking German composition in college this summer. :scared1: That no doubt means lots of email to her dear old mother for help! Oye Vey!!

This :laundy: is in my future later today. Oh joy!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

New job starts tomorrow.............

Sidenote: I did a search on Facebook today for people listing WDW as employer. 550 people li5 listed, I knew 5 of them. Out of those 5, 2 got laid off. What are the odds of that?

Hi Sandy, you snuck in on me.

That German place sounds like fun, I could go for that right about now.

I'm sure the kids will reconcile, but a marriage encounter might be a good idea for the future.

marita - he and I are still seeing each other, but he's not ready to give me the attention I need.
so we're not exclusive - not that he's dating anyone else - I don't think he's really dated since his divorce except for me.
he brought me tulips on our first date. how cute is that?
I dunno. I'm just rolling with it.
:confused3

I misread the instructions for my project - it's only 10 pages, not 20! woo!
and I've got a pretty good start on it so far.

Cel, what a pleasant surprise on the 10 pages, w00t!
Much better than the other way around.

Tulips are lovely!

So far I managed to sort the laundry into baskets according to load.

Now I need a break :drinking1:smokin: :rolleyes1

Funding proposal is done! woio!
it's only 8 pages, not ten, but I don't care at this point.
now to do data communications homework. blah.

Cel, YAY for getting the funding proposal done! That would scare me to no end, I am not good at asking people for things (which is also not a good trait to have in my new job, but at least I won't be asking for money, just sending emails requesting information.)

I logged onto work email to get started on my work project I have to finish today. I found an email from the new boss (Bunny Boss, BB for short)

Email conversation:

Message from BB to me regarding a forecast request my predecessor sent out last week:

BB:
Can you please summarize the responses and come up with recommendations? What I am looking for is if we can make adjustments (might be some increases but looking for an overall decrease.) I will not be reading all of the resort responses and will look to you for recommendations on how to handle in the forecast.

Me:
Will do, but could both of you please monitor to see if I am copied on the responses?

BB:

definitely. I am sure many of them will only copy me. =:3)
Why are you reading your work email? Its just getting me all annoyed reading it!!! tee hee

Me:
have to finish up an analysis for XYZ today, ugghh! Analysis is done, have to do the Exec summary and PP etc....

BB:

sigh. Well, I have to go clean rabbit poop off the patio. Not sure which is better....

Me:
I vote for rabbit poop!

I like BB :)

Cel WOOHOOTY!! Glad on the 10 pages - I'm thinking it'll be awesome!!
I also think tulips are agoog thing - and you made him think - that's a good thing too!

Marita glad you like the BB - I wasnt sure how it was going to turn out!! (the tee hee cunfuzzled me!) and oh yeah, you would so like the German place - all german food, and German Beer - DS friend came, and asked the waitress to translate - lol and when it came to Beer choices... he was like... :confused3 What his mom is having must be pretty good!! :rotfl: and it was!! Spaten (I think they have it in Germany/Epcot as well!)

Hate al the layoffs, etc... this economy has got to get better!!

Cel, love that pic!

Sandy, homemade pea soup, YUM! My mom used to make that. That talk of beer and pretzels just made me put some beer in the fridge for later, LOL. Best pretzels I ever had and ever will were from a little german bakery next to my aunts house in Bavaria about 45 yearg ago. I think I'll have a crusty roll with prociutto (sp) and butterkase with the beer later.

I finished my presentation and sent if off. Second load of laundry is in the washer.

But the best news of all is this:
My brother thinks my mom with be back in her home by her birthday! :cool1:
I was so worried about that. Still not for sure, but hopeful.

On to think about this assignment I got today.....

Hey Wendy Lou!

Hmm, what did you miss in the Mooville Pasture? Dont know how much you heard or read elswhere.

Mama Moo is turning into little mama Moo, for one. Down 40 lbs already! :yay: Mr Moo is soon to follow suit.

Mony's Tim had another scare, but all is fine :yay:

Celery dropped breadman cause he was turning moldy

Twinkie is still terrorizing her students with hard tests

Lexi resurfaced finally and drops by on occasion

Allie is getting ready for another run (Run, Allie, Run!)

MommyP is still pregnant with we dont know what (well, a baby, duh)

BBN and PJ are in need of hugs this week, real and cyber :grouphug:

Sandy is getting a hold of a pc more often :yay:

Pumba is babysitting a little baby and still looking for a camp

LilG still ponders philosophysally

Kids all over got sick and then better

I survived the layoff and got transferred

You probably know more about some things than us on the open board, LOL.

Happy to see you back around these parts
All caught up! Thanks!!!!!

WENDY! Great to see you here instead of just hither and yon
Thanks, Skinny!

Wendy Lou - Hi!! Good to see ya'!
Thanks Allie!!!!!!

testing my "borrowed" pics .
epcot.jpg

Who are they? What did I miss there?

goog pics Cel are you finished with your paper??

Marita how's your mom doing?

Moo how are you doing?

Uma:cool1: How goes it? What have you been up to?

looking to do nothing!! DH finished working out... I didnt go :rolleyes1 I really need to do something...

Sandy - I'm doing fine! Just having a VERY lazy Sunday at home, doing a little reading. Work kind of kicked my butt this past week.

Sounds like you had a nice birthday dinner for your son! Was that German restaurant the one in downtown Chicago not far from the Palmer House?

Marita - That's GREAT news about your mom!!! Your trip will be here before you know it.

I don't think Cel's guy friends that she went to WDW with are of the correct persuasion for her to be interested in ;)

Wendy - You're Ms. Skinny!!! Sounds like you're eating kind of like me these days. Except that I had weight control oatmeal earlier for "brunch" and just finished some tuna with light Miracle Whip and a little onion powder, since I can't have raw veggies yet. Bleah. It took me an hour to eat 2.5 ounces. But I'm one month out today! I was planning to have my hubby take some progress photos this afternoon, but I really don't feel like showering and doing my hair today, so it'll just have to wait until after work tomorrow.

Allie - Hope your knee's feeling better today!

Twink - I LOLed over the goose pic!

Cel - Great WDW pics!!! It's nice to see what your friends look like :) Good to hear that you got your paper done.

Mony - Yay for some grown-up time away from the kids!!! I sure wish our nice weather had stuck around today.
