Mama P glad to hear you are alright. Twinke great news a new baby. Marita Happy Belated Birthday:cool1: Hello to all of you . Pumba I would love your weather . It was just 82 here yesterday. Hellooooooo every one else.

In my brief scan of the current news, I see I must send my sympathies to Sis. It sounds like your mom is not doing very well these days, Marita, and I am sorry to hear that news. Also, belated happy birthday wishes. I hope you had a great day!

And congratulations are in order for Twinkie?! :goodvibes I hope you get over the puking stage quickly.

SIS!!!!!!!!!!, so great you to see you posting again, I miss you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!:cake:party:
Please stop in more often. It's easy to keep up with, pretty slow these days, LOL.

Glad you are least working part time, that has to be hard.

Thanks for the kind words about mom, but I think she is ready to call it a day, her quality of life is not what she wants. Sad when it happens, but the day will come for all of us. She had a good long life.

CelMAMA, good to see you! Stop in more often too.

MommyP, hang in there, you are almost done baking the new baby :cloud9:
(which can't be said for Twinkie)

Fun and safe travels to PEEJ!

Everyone

Kay! What a nice surprise to see you hereabouts :goodvibes Hope you had a lovely birthday!!!

Nabbie - I can see where you'd be feeling like you're driving in circles lately! :car:

Yes, Mari will be flying in on Friday for her cousin's wedding this weekend :cool1: I'm so excited!!!

I've had a couple mishaps over the last 24 hours :sad2: Last night, the toenail on my big toe decided to come loose :scared1: Several month ago, my Grandpuppy Cash came down on it with all his weight. I realized that it was bruised under the nail, but never thought I would lose it! Fortunately, there is a new nail growing in, but it is looking pretty hideous right before the wedding. I'm still trying to decide whether to see if there's something I can do to make it look better or if I'll have to wear a bandaid over it. Ugh.

Then, after lunch today, apparently I had an allergic reaction after eating a salmon/scallop patty and I broke out in a rash over the lower part of my face and neck  I've NEVER had any problems with seafood before. I guess it must be possible to develop that type of an allergy when you're older :confused3

Peej - I know I probably missed you, but I hope you have fun at the beach!!!!! :beach:

Marita - I feel for you on not being busy enough at work. I usually never have that problem, but the past few days have really d-r-a-g-g-e-d! Hang in there!!!

Sandy - Prayers sent for your son

Good morning!

Why is it that on a morning I work from home I wake up with the chickens and when I have to go to work I wake up late and have to rush like mad? :confused3

Dentist appt at 12:30 for cleaning, then I go to the office after that.

I woke up to a most obnoxious song on the radio this morning: "something something baby, shush your lips, do the Helen Keller and mover your hips."
WTH??

Hi SIS. Yes, I see the thread isn't nearly as long per day as it used to be. Yesterday I saw it pop up in the top position on the community board and it caught my eye. I have only checked in once in ages and throught I read some sad news abut UMA, but really didn't go back to scan for details or background info.

Prayers for you in dealing with your Mother's decline. My mother's memory is getting much worse. Her health is about the same, though.

MommyP How is it going with the new house? I bet you are enjoying the extra space and the ability to do with it whatever you like. I was surprised to hear you are having another baby. I missed out on that news, and details about gender/name/due date etc.

Moo Sorry to hear about your toenail. I hope it feels better than it looks, and that it grows in fast. Eat lots of protein! ;) Only not Salmon!

Kay -- nice to see you again.

Mommy p isn't finding out the gender of the baby this time. So we are all waiting with her. It should be in a few weeks or few days as she would like it.

Moo-- ouch on the toe thing. That is scary about the fish. Maybe there was something else in them you reacted to other then the fish. :confused3 Yay for Mari coming home!!

We had a ballgame last night and I had to put my hoody sweaty on what is up with that in July. Nicholas team is finally winning some games. Love to watch them play and cheer.

Well off to art camp, swimming and maybe food shop, then baseball practice tonight.....the fun never stops. :lmao:

Hey all! I'm off to see harry potter tonight! woo hoo!

Nicholas is so jealous...but he has to wait for his dad to take him. It isn't Hannah's thing so I wait for it to come out on DVD.

Tell me if you like it or not. Nicholas has changed the screen savers on the computers to Harry Potter now.

We are having a horrible thunderstorm here, really close and very fierce. I unplugged my PC even though I have a surge protector. The shuttle make it up just in time tonight... I saw it going up from my back yard for about 40 seconds before it disappeared behind clouds. Very small, but still...

NAB, you are one busy bee these days, uggg!

Dentist wasnt bad, just a cleaning but they said I need a crown on a broken tooth way in the back. I didn't even know it was broken and it doesnt bother me at all. That's about $500 after insurance :scared1: I may postpone it or find another dentist that is in my insurance network. I have been going to this practive for 30+ years, but my doctor is now mostly retired, and no sense paying premium prices anymore.

PS: DD just called, she is scared out of her mind, tornado warnings right over her house!!!! I tried to reassure her, but i dont think I did too well, she is going to call her brother, then call me back later. At least now it sounds like it moving away from my house. DD said, yeah, it's coming right over mine...............

SIS, I hope you hang around this pasture. I'll send you a PM.

MommyP How is it going with the new house? I bet you are enjoying the extra space and the ability to do with it whatever you like. I was surprised to hear you are having another baby. I missed out on that news, and details about gender/name/due date etc.

Due date is August 18th. I have 5 weeks left. Name for a girl is Ellie Claire, a boy is anyone's guess. My DH won't decide. No gender, we wanted to be surprised. I don't know why me being pregnant would surprise you though. ;)

Moo - Just put a Disney Princess bandaid over it and call it a day. :thumbsup2

Marita - The cost of dentists are outrageous. Jeremiah hasn't been in years and the other boys have never gone. :sad2:

So today while I was in town I decided to go to Once Upon A Child. I'd never been before and was curious. Well....I found a changing table that looked about the right color for $40 and a pad to go with it for $10. I decided Walmart could kiss my butt and I bought them. (Plus the baby bath I wanted for only 12!!!) I had checked this morning since I was going out to see if my things had come into Walmart yet. They hadn't. Well since I was out I decided to go buy and pick up the baskets and crib sheet that came in last week. When I got there EVERYTHING was in. LOL. I am SO thankful that the Lord(No offense DIS policy) kept that changing table from coming in until AFTER i found a better deal. :goodvibes So I told Walmart to keep that crap and give me my moolah back. When I got home and got it in the room I realized it was exactly the same as my cribs! I am SO thankful that I was able to get everything matchy without shelling out big bucks!

Now Sat. I have to get Chad in the attic to get my baby sleepers and such down so I can get it all washed and in the dresser. All that's left is having the baby so I can make the bedding!

Mommy P -- Yay on the change table and other goodies you found. I have taken clothes and toys to Once Upon a Child. The toys went but the clothes I think are harder because there is so much to choice from.

I say go ahead and do the pink elephants. If it is a boy, he won't know any different anyway. :lmao: Keeping my fingers crossed. Think pink!!!

:goodvibes, thanks...for the "trip wishes". oh, boy..or girl....or

"new"..ride.....on old fashioned...., dick & jane......adventures?

backie?...what you think?......maybe....i could be the "model"? :hippie:

..then again...maybe, not~ :lmao:

I went to see the allergist about the rash on my face because I woke up and still had it. In fact, it still hasn't gone away, so I took some more Benedryl tonight. When I called the restaurant to see what all was in the salmon patty that I had for lunch yesterday, they said it had shrimp in it, not scallops as I thought they told me, and clam base, spices, etc. Anyway, they ran a blood test for various kinds of seafood and gave me a prescription for an epi pen in case I have a bad reaction in the future  I guess lots of people develop seafood allergies when they're older.

Nabbie - I had to look on a news channel to see about the tanker explosion. It's in the Detroit area, so it's a couple hours away from me. Mony's probably a lot closer to it than me.

Marita - w00t on having Friday off!!! I hear you on how expensive those crowns can be. Sorry to hear it's so stormy there and that your DD is scared. Hope it clears up soon. My fingers are crossed that there is good weather here this weekend for our nephew's wedding. It's not outdoors, but I hate rainy wedding days.

MommyP - Nice score on the baby things! :thumbsup2 I was thinking about looking to see if there are any cute bandaids, LOL!

Moo, wear closed toed shoes :confused3 Dnag about the allegy thing!

Lil G, the exposure thing is apparently not just at Disney, aslo at Wet and Wild and Aquatica. DIsney just always gets played up more. Anyway, it was only one day. I dont remember vacation kingdom of the world...
I fear WT has abandoned us...
You want to play in laundry hanging on lines and be a model?? LOL, go ahead, show us the way........

MP, yay on the finds!

Moo-- glad the explosion wasn't near you, it looked pretty nasty with all that smoke. Hope Mony isn't getting it blowing her way. I thought you could get allergies later. Hope the rash goes away by the wedding.

Suppose to rain on Friday and Saturday here. The two nights that we will be camping ...great.

Lil'g-- not to young to remember clothes hanging on the line and running under the sheets. Do remember being told all the time not to touch the frozen clothes when brought in for the line in the winter because we could break them. Other words rip them in two.

Well different day same stuff going on.....off we go again.

Moo That's scary about getting seafood alergies out of the blue. I love seafood. I would be so bummed if suddenly I couldn't eat any! The very thought makes me want to run out and have a lobster or two in case it might be my last! :scared1:

Sis We don't get tornados around here. At least it is so rare that I can almost say we "never" get them. I think they're worse than hurricanes becuase they usually level everything in their path, whereas you can come through a hurricane with moderate damage.

MommyP What a nice surprise to find out that your new bargains matched what you already had for the baby.

Hi Lil G!

Celery So how did you like the new Harry Potter movie?

Nab - Don't you know I've thought about it. lol. I am planning on bringing out the red in the fabric, not the pink, so I might be able to get away with that. lol. Hmmm...I need to search online for a bigger swatch to look at.

I can see how getting rid of clothes to that place could be hard. There are A LOT of clothes there. Oh my word!

Moo - What a bummer to develop an allergy to seafood!

Marita - Have you been getting regular summer rains and storms lately? We finally got rain last night, before that we haven't gotten anything in a couple weeks. Yesterday our air was set to 78, but the inside temp was 81. It's SO hot that the AC can't even work properly. Our bill for last month(with rain) was $260, I am afaird what this month will be. :scared:

I plan to sew some changing table covers to match the room today. I have a pack n play sheet that I put on it at first and it fit well, so I'm going to use that to go by. I'm going to do a blue chenille and a blue minky.

Definitely way too much pink for a boy. I didn't even know there was orange and yellow in it. I only ha seen a swatch that had the 3 elephants in the top right corner minus the body of the pink one. lol

Hey Hey HEY!!

Hope all is well in Moo'ver land!

DD has decided she HAS to stay up till 4AM - and we wake her up at 10AM - what a struggle, every doggone day and NIGHT!

Glad to see everyone's hanging on and hanging in there!!

Moo scary indeed!! Hope your rash goes away! and your toe heals - are you still doing water exercise? (I need some motivation, I'm seriously still hiding from exercise - why? :confused3)

Marita :woohoo: TODAY is your Friday!!

MP Great Find! I know I hang on to some of dd clothes - why? They were boxed to mail out to a friend, and I just couldnt do it - dont even know what's in there!!

Nab things arent what they seem!!! Big Brother evicts tonight!!

Cel hope you didnt re read the book BEFORE you see HP! We're debating NOT seeing the movie at the theatre - we'll be buying it when it comes out on dvd!

Kay hey hey!!

LOL on the last hour of Today the All American Rejects are showing their Tats!

DS went out to AZ with his friends to help one friend move back here - drive his car back - last summer they went and drove the car there - and got Tats!! hmmmm

To kay and nab and nicholas -
Harry potter was good!
I've read the books, but I haven't read 6 in a really long time. I thought they stayed pretty truthful to it but it was still interesting. Ben, who has not read the books, found it good as well.
He didn't like 5 very much.
