I am currently reading book 3.

Mari is leaving for NC tomorrow morning, so I may actually make it to the theater with a friend later in the day.

Your DD's moving out sounds pretty typical. Especially loading up the groceries Don took Mari shopping for some staples when we got back from his family Christmas tonight. I remember "shopping" at my Grandma's when I was in college. She always sent me back to school with some of her home-canned tomatoes and peaches.

Hey Moo,

I liked it pretty well, true to the book. Of course you never get all the details you get from books, just the way it is. Like they mentioned cold fingers, but not chest feeling like stone. And I didnt think the sceen in the sun came off very well, I couldnt see much sparkle. But oh well, it was good overall, glad I saw it on the big screen.
Actually, I was surprised that DS came with us. He said "You know, mom, this is a teen chick flick?"
HA, NOT! I said, I know plenty of adult chicks that liked it.
But he was fine with it in the end, there was enough action for him to counteract the sappy parts, LOL!

Definitly not a movie to stand on its own if you haven't read the books (at least 2), because the ending leaves you hanging...

Moo, I like book 4 the best, so hang in there! Hope you get to see it this weekend. I think its heading out of the theaters soonishly.

Well I survived my illness which since there was no fever or anything I thought it was just going to be me.....wrong. It hit Nicholas last night at 11:00 , hubby at 2:00 and Hannah at 4:30. So they are all sick now. I better not get it back!

And since all this happened in the middle of the night I have been up most of the night too. One throw up in bed, one throw up on the toilet because they didn't put the lid up and one tooted in bed and didn't make it to the washroom . Won't tell you who did what but I will be washing all day as well.

And all I want to do is go back to bed, which I am sure I will do.....

Do cats get the flu? Buddy is home now. We went yesterday. I was feeling achy from all the throwing up but still went. Everyone was fine.

twinks - I didn't realize you were teaching a full class this time - I figured it was a lab. Do you have to do a seperate lab for the botany class as well? I've never taken botany, so I wasn't sure if it has a lab component. Will THE DH be required to bend space and time so you can make it to school on time? Can oldest DS fill in from time to time? has he read your trip reports? are you writing a new one? what with all your spare time and all.

1. No- it is an integrated lecture/lab so yes I am teaching the lab but there isn't a separate lab time.
2. Of course botany has a lab component.
3. He will not be required to bend space and time but will be required to leave work promptly.
4. He can handle the kids for a few whiles so if the DH is running late I can still leave on time.

Well, we just had a half hour of excitement ( ) here. DD got an external harddrive for xmas, which she did not ask for, worth probably around $100. She planned to return it to use the money towards a flatpanel TV. Well, it's nowhere to be found!!! So DD proceeds to tear the house apart, looking at the fireplace, under blankets, behind chairs, in a laundry basket, etc. "It was right there on the chair by the fireplace, and now it's gone! "Mom, did you through it away?" I said no, I didnt touch anything. So hubby takes a kitchen chair outside and looks through 12 bags of garbage that are sitting on the curb for tomorrow morning. Nothing, Nada! DD is majorly ticked off at whoever or whatever threw out or STOLE her harddrive. DS said, what, do you think someone broke in here and that is the only thing they took?
So DH comes back in after the garbage caper which yielded nothing, opens a lone white box that was half open on the fireplace, and low and behold, there it was!!!! Right under her nose the whole time!
So now hubby and the kids are in the other room watching football. The Disboards are deadish. I turned on Sister Act on TV, but it turns out it is Sister Act II, which I don't like all that much. Nothing on TV

So I could either straighten the house and unload the dishwasher and put laundry away that I folded yesterday (MEH to all), or work on the awful presentation I hate but that I promised for tomorrow.(I DONT WANNA). Although I found out yesterday that boss' boss is off next week, so no pressure to get it done for tomorrow. But I promised.... What to do, what to do??????

I got a call shortly after I purchased the cheap tickets from #24's mom and she said her husband purchased tix for us. Kinda like a thank you for all my years of service. I felt soooooo bad cause 1. I had to decline cause my BFF and her son are going and 2. He only purchased 4 tickets and I couldn't leave her sitting somewhere without us. I understood he got us some nice seats.

DS1 and DD2 are not going. Baby too little and Matt just doesn't want to go, he'd rather take his Wii over to grandma's.

Just wanted to pop in and say HI. We had a nice Christmas. Sounds like y'all did too. I'm packing away the Christmas tree and watching the COLTS play as we speak. Well, I took a short break since it looks like the Colts have it wRaPpEd up, but I will continue momentarily.


Next week is a little crazy. The dh is using up some vacation days and we are going to hang out with the kiddos and stuff like that.

Don't really care about UAB at all, so it's ok if you trounced them That is where my coworker's infant son went to when he had all of his heart problems after he was born. I think of it as a DR. school. If you have something really wrong with you and the Dr's up here don't know what to do with you, they send you down to UAB. (uh, was that too much info? )

Evening, all! I just watched Twilight on-line, thanks to finding the location on Wendy's thread I thought it was a pretty good adaptation of the book overall. I seemed like it had a slightly artsy feel, but that may have just been the video quality. I may still go see it in the theater soonish because I'm sure it will be better on the big screen.

DD called a bit ago to say that she made it back to NC safely. The traffic and weather weren't too bad, just a little rain in NC.

Nabbie - Hope your family is feeling better tonight What a way to be woken up after feeling so wuckety.

Mony - I'm VERY happy the winds have stopped. Something was banging around on our roof or the side of the house It made it really hard to sleep last night. We still have a big pond in our side yard from all the snow melt. I sure hope the snow takes a break for a few weeks!

Oh, I forgot to mention, DS hooked up my Sonic Bomber Bed shaking alarm today. DH was already asleep, so he didn't set the alarm too high for fear of waking him. But I got the shaking from the bed shaker, quite nice, really, almost like a massager, LOL. Im not sure if that helps or hurts..... We shall see.
