Merry Christmas! I am posting while downloading the 300ish pictures we tooks this morning. The grandparents have already called demanding emails full of Twinkie children gleefully ripping paper off their own myriad of cheap but thrilling (TM lexy) gifts.

Marita- glad the party went well and you all had a lovely Christmas.

Monica- YAY YOU. Good grades there! I don't know how you do it (balance work, life, family, school)

Wendy- Are you excited about school? do you have a wardrobe of pink scrubs to wear? I start Jan 15... and I am not ready. ACK.

BBN- :santa: :dance3: :dance3: :flower3: pirate: :santa:

BDG- are you there yet? huh? huh? are you there yet?

Lexy- we need more details on Mimi's reaction to her big gift! What fun.

Lynt- I got season 4 of Rescue Me from Santa. The cover said it is the "most testosterone filled series EVAH".... heh.. .no wonder I like it.

Thanks for the Christmas wishes Moo, Bloodhound, Mrs. the King, Celery's Mama, Allie and Lil G!

I hope everyone else is having an enjoyable day filled with fun, family and, of course,........................cookies.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Did someone say cookies!

All my neice and nephews were putting my cookies out for Santa. They love my cookies and they all have a different favourite. Make it all worth while.

I am very tired. We got home at 4:30 am from my mom's. I did manage to get 4 hours sleep before Hannah jumped on us this morning ready to go again.

The weather has been crazy, I would have slept on the way home but it was so icy in parts, then dry roads back to snow covered in our 2 hour journey.:sad2: And we get to do it all over again tomorrow only in another direction to see the in-laws and get Buddy back. He has been there for a month now.

Back to hearing and watching Nicholas play the drums of his Guitar Hero Tour over and over . Or watch Hannah try to do the hula hoop on the Wii Fit. I think I will try this when no one is looking...:rotfl:

I've done that hula hoop before, and let's just say it isn't pretty! ;) :lmao: :rolleyes1

Sounds like everyone's had a lovely Christmas!

I was happy to have a relaxing day at home with just my hubby and daughter. We watched the Disney parade and I made pot roast in the crock pot for dinner. Easy peasy. Mari made some Chex party mix for snacking. Yum. And. We've stayed in our jammies all day :)

Mony - You probably have snow packed in your tires. That happened to my car after sliding off the driveway. I thought it was going to shake apart when I tried to drive over 55. Just take your car to a car wash and spray out the tires with hot, high pressure water or just run it through an automatic car wash. I'm pretty sure it will be all better!

Nabbie - I hear you on the bad roads! Glad you made it home safely. Hope the roads are clear for the trip to your in laws. They may not want to give Buddy back! I see we're supposed to get more rain on Saturday with a high around 50 :confused3

Marita - Yay for getting to go to see Twilight! And that your party went well.

Lex! I'm so happy to hear that Mimi was excited about your upcoming trip!!! You're going to have a great time.

Wendy, Mony, and Twink - Wow, we sure have a lot of schoolin'/teachin' coming up in the new year! I'm sure Cel is probably back at it too.

Tomorrow is probably a moovie day for us, then another family Christmas party (hubby's side) on Saturday. Then DD heads south on Sunday :sad1: Man the time sure goes by fast.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AGAIN! :santa:

It's the gift that just keeps on giving! Today we are going down to my mom's house for Christmas and will be traveling back here on Monday. My office is closed til next Friday, Jan. 2nd. I'll work ONE DAY and then off on vacation! w00t!

Lexy- we need more details on Mimi's reaction to her big gift! What fun.
Well, I didn't know what to wrap in the "WDW vacation" package so I threw in the travel docs and that blue folder with the park maps that says "We're so glad the Lexmelinda Family is coming back to Disney World!" (you know the one, right?) And then I got one of Mimi's old keys to the world (y'all don't throw those away, do you?) and typed up a strip with the dates of our trip and glued it over the old dates. I wrapped all that up in tissue paper.

When she opened it she looked at the picture and said "awwwww" and then opened the tissue and looked at the "new" key to world and was confused and then she opened the travel documents and luggage tags and looked at me like "really?" and I nodded. And then she said "who am I going with?" and Emily said "mom". And then she hug-attacked me and jumped up and down and screamed and put on the perma-grin she wore all day.

All day long, everytime she looked at me she would either say "Hey remember that time you gave me the trip to Disney? That was the best present ever!" OR alternately "I can't believe Emily didn't tell me!"

After presents, cinnamon rolls, alien making, itunes loading, Disney spreadsheet viewing, etc. we went to see Bedtime Stories (just OK...all the goog parts are in the commercials), then I came home and quick-made two casseroles and went to DSIL's house and then went to my neighbors house.

I'm exhausted. Do I really have to drive to Mom's this morning?

Wendee....The Guiness Book of World Records was a hit! Every man, woman, and child stopped to read it yesterday! Thanks for the idea.

Marita....Hope your party went well! I'm checking the 10-day forecast for Orlando. Keep me posted so I'll know what to pack!

NAB....Why has Buddy been gone for a month?

Twink.....I hope your myriad of gifts doesn't have many tiny, vacuumable parts.

Moo, Monica, Allie, Lynette, BNCG, Peej, Cel, Celmama, LilG, WT, DTD, ever-body....:wave2:

HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS WEEKEND!

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!! :santa: Wait. What? What's that you say? I'm a day late??!!! Well carp. It must be all that pixie dust in the air making me forget what day it is or some such nonsense.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I went to Magic Kingdom yesterday morning after church. It was of course a zoo, but I had a mission. I wanted to see Anastasia on Christmas. So, I went and found her in her garden, got some pictures and then got outta the place just as it closed d/t it being filled to capacity! :crowded: Little sister and I spent the rest of the day poolside and then we had a nice family dinner at Jiko. By that time Anastasia was able to join too. Then Hollywood and I spent the night at her house because we had a party there don'tchaknow. Much fun was had by all. Although all will not remember that fun. Just sayin. :rolleyes1

Things I think after reading back...

bbn shouldn't rap. Ever again.
I'm glad Mimi was so excited.
I'm glad Marita's son is home.
I'm glad Wendy is getting ready to start school and Allie survived another semester.
I'm sorry Twink has major car expenses to deal with. I just did that. Twice.

That is the extent of the thoughts in my head. Color yourselves wow'ed.

my handy dandy ds is coming along to tell me what to buy.
I just wish it had a spot where you could add other things you need not linked to a specific recipe.

Yesterday me and the breadman relaxed and then went and had christmas dinner at the chinese buffet. good times!

I hope marita is having fun at the movies!
talk at y'all later!

I love cheap but thrilling gifts (TM Lexy)! My kids got wayyyyy too much! Oh My Heck.

Yes, I am soooo excited. And quite scared. I'm mostly thrilled and blessed to finally go!

I just posted a carpload of Family Fun Christmas pics on Facebook if anyone cares to see my darling family. I accidentally figured out how to do it myself.

MERRY CHRISTMASa day late and many dollars short
I was out of town for 3 days, except to drive back and forth to work from NashVegas the second day. Never got near a 'puter and took an hour to get caught up.
First of all, thanks B, it's what I've asked Santa for every year for eveh. Fancy Pants Glancy was in a real mood for 2 days and the only thing that would console him was my dancing, singing Homer Clause. He played with that constantly. How many times can you hear hmmm christmas cookies without going nutz.
Lexy, counting down with ya. We'll be about 24 hours behind you. Glad Mimi was so excited. I need to START getting something ready. Anything. Well, all the important papers are in the glovebox, but that's it.
Moo, thanks for your usefu post. It reminded me I needed to get a crock of pot roast going. I'm going to a 16 team double elimination high school girl's basketball tourney the next four days, so I need something quick to fix. Although four days of Patriot Plates(fritoes, cheese and chile) would be fun.
Oops. I forgot the sports post warning. Sorry Wendy.
I haven't even had time to do the single digit dance. But I can :yay: for joy.

Never made it to the in laws today. I have been sick all night and all day. Just actually got out of bed 20 minutes ago. I think it was something I ate at my mom's the night before.

Lexi-- Buddy is at the in laws because we had our work Christmas party to go to then went on the cruise. And since they are not exactly close we left him there until Christmas.

Well I'm heading back to bed.....

Happy Day After Christmas! I have been a slug today. No movies for me. DH and DD went out to do some shopping, but I have been content to stay home reading and relaxing.

Lex - Great way to tell Mimi about your trip! :sunny: pixiedust:

Peej! Sounds like you're having a great time. Enjoy the nice weather while you can! Goog idea getting out of the MK before it was mass craziness.

Nabbie - Sorry you've been sick :grouphug: Sounds like a ploy to keep from having to pick Buddy up ;)

Just kidding, of course! Feel better soon.

Wendy - Loved the pics! Cute shirt :)

DTD - At first I thought you meant that YOU were dancing and singing like Homer Claus to settle Glancy down :lmao:

Cel - How'd the kung pao chicken turn out?

Where is Marita?

Where is Marita?

I'm here, I here...

I was the slug yesterday. We never made it to Twilight yesterday because the times didnt work out. So it was a quiet day at home. DS stayed home, and DD continued her moving efforts. She came home about 11:30 after doing some staining of furniture in her new place. Then the 3 of us sat watched TV till 1am.

I had a terrible night sleeping last night, with nightmares and waking up about every hour. Finally got up at 11, left to see Twilight and noon, then DH met us at Ollive Garden for an early dinner (they were VERY busy at 3:30 :confused3 ), then I read some posts and crashed for a nap. DS just left to be with some friends, and DD is continuing her moving
Oh, I thought Twilight was pretty goog. Glad I finally saw it.

NAB, sorry about you being sick!

Lexi, great surprise. Hope you and the BIG GUYS have a great time.

Wendy, I'll have to check out the pics. And YAY for the schooling. Does this mean you are NOT going to put your house on the market again.

BH, you have been very scarce lately, whaddup?

I might attempt to work some on this gawdawful Powerpoint presentation tonight the I HAVE to send in before Monday. SHUDDER!!!

PJ,Cel, BBN, Celmama, Pumba, DTD, Allie, MTK, Java, Lil G, Rob, everyone!

moo - the kung pao chicken was delish! according to breadman, it tasted like it came from a restaurant.
although him coming in every few minutes to give me suggestions got kind of old. I had to kick him out!

now he's gone to bed since he has to be up in 7 hours and I'm watching "girls just want to have fun."

oh yeah! 1985 cheese! woo!

DTD, Lexy: Yea on your upcoming trips. I hope the place is just how I left it for you.

CEL: Pm me your recipe. Sounds yummy!

Wendy: I'll go look at your darling family pics. I take it you don't use your cell phone much. See more reason to move close to me. Or me to you.

Nab: Sorry you are sick. Hope you feel better.

Marita: Glad you are getting time with your kids.

Moo: I love lazy days and I see one in my future.

I took Mal to the show today, she picked HSM3 and it was playing at the $2.00 show place. Then we went to Target to get a few rugs and I also purchased new curtains for the kitchen. I finally found some I liked. And as a bonus, I bought the HSM3 soundtrack for me and Mal to sing to in the car. You know, crazy fun girl stuff.

The boys went over their grandmas to go swimming at her city's splash pool with their 2 cousins. Tim spent time at home (playing WII) with Maddy and they took over a 2 hour nap together. Lucky fella.

I don't know how it happened, but another party is on for tomorrow at my sisters. This one is more low key. Kids get to bring all of their snow stuff to romp around on 20 acers.

I start Jan 15... and I am not ready. ACK.

Are you going back to work? Or school?

And I missed your pictures. Can you post them again or put them on FB?

We're back early. We left yesterday morning around 11 and got home last night at 10:30. I am over tired and yesterday I was very nauseous all day(I was up for hours feeling sick the night before) so we decided to come home. I am SO tired. Chad's going to get movies and I'm laying in bed today doing nothing at all.(except all the unpacking and laundry that has to be done.)

mommyp - I must be having sympathy tiredness. I slept for 12 hours! it's super annoying to sleep that long when you don't want to.

mony - the recipe is on my personal trainer cooking nintendo DS. it'll take me a while to transcribe it.

Another quiet day here.

MommyP - Sorry you're feeling wuckety

Mony - Sounds like you had a nice girls day! :) How'd you like the warm temps and snow melt today? Springtime in winter!

Are you going back to work? Or school?

And I missed your pictures. Can you post them again or put them on FB?

I am going back to work at a school. I got a job teaching entry level botany at a community college. It is two nights a week 6-9 so I don't need any daycare/babysitting. However I have never taught this class before so I should be cramming and lesson planning. I am excited and scared.

Pictures will be reposted and/or put on FB sometime- maybe monday.

DTD- goog to see you again. Cereally. I so identify with your FancyPantsGlancy everlasting Homer situation. Your posts always have me :rotfl:

Lexy- I loved how you presented the Disney trip!

Everyone else- I had more comments but my "free" time is over.

Hi everyone,

Just checking in here.

Hope you are feeling better MommyP and NAB.

Cel, I hear you on the sympathy tiredness.

I slept 11 hours last night, but then again, I kept waking up second night in a row with nightmares. This one was that I had company come over and they opened the kitchen drawers and all the utensils and serving dishes had been put back in the cabinets dirty, not even rinsed, like with stuffing stuck on :scared: Don't know where that came from........ honestly! My dishwasher ran for HOURS!!!

Lexi, so far the forecast is still for 70's, but they only give 5 days out. And a cold front is coming, but they gave no detail, sorry!

Twinkie and Mony, what about no free time? with only 4 or 5 kids, the holidays over and school still coming up, what else do you have to do but lay on the couch and eat bonbons and DIS???????? :)

DS is out again with friends and DD moved her bed today to her new place, so she has officially moved out! Except for odds and ends and stuff she wants to not burden her new place with, rather clutter her dear old parents place with. Oh, she also loaded up another bag full of groceries to take with her...:sad2:

Oh, when we went to the movie yesterday, DD punched in whatever into the machine (I didn't even KNOW they have machines now!). So she put in 2 adults, 1 SENIOR :scared1: Senior???? Ok, so I am 56, but that came as a total shock to me :faint:

UMA, great pics. Like that vampire one :thumbsup2

Everyone!
