Twink! You're welcome :) Yay for ME tags and getting through Twinkerbell's mega-tooth fairy pull-ooza day :thumbsup2 Hope your little cutie's not too ouchie tonight. How many autograph books are you needing? 3? 4? I'm have a boatload of Disney stickers and scrapbooking here in mid-Mitten, many of which I doubt I'll ever use. I would just have to see if I could find something to stick them on . . .

I only have to pack for myself this time (NObusymamas) so I have a little extra time.

Nabbie - Sorry about having to dress up, but I know you always enjoy your hubby's work parties. I don't think I've worn panty hose in years.

Sure hope you don't get freezing rain. Snow is bad enough. I think we only got about an inch today though.

Peej - Glad you had fun with your company! Do you have your photo outfit all ready to take?! Is Paco Bell your cat?
The photo outfit is all pACKed and ready to go! Actually, I couldn't decide on a shirt though. I brought a completely plain long sleeved white tshirt, short sleeved white tshirt, and a cute/not plain white short sleeved shirt. I'll decide once I see what everyone else is wearing. I also packed dark jeans. I think pretty much everyone is planning on jeans so I didn't want to be the odd one out in a skirt, kwim?
And my cat is OLIVER. But certain people insist on calling him Paco. I was just being silly by calling him Paco Bell. It has a nice ring to it though, doesn't it?

Moo, I doubt my son will go with me. he is only here for 4 days. He has friends to visit. I wouldn't even ask him. Not a great time to ask him to see a chick flick with his mother, LOL. I'll survive if I dont see it till On Demand (I NEVER check that) or DVD (never check that either). So maybe in 4 years when it's on TV.

But I am seriously considering taking Wednesday off. He gets here Tuesday night, and likely will be gone much of the day, but still. I think I want to be home that day. I won't see him much for years to come....
I vote that you take the day off. I know my opinion counts for a lot. ;)

Brrrrr, Rob! I think my hubby and I were at WDW earlier in that month. Our first several days were fairly warm in the afternoon but the last couple were pretty chilly at night.

I remember buying rain ponchos (to cut the chill of the wind) and gloves for me and my daughter when we went in December 1998 so we could stay at MK to watch a night-time parade. This time I'll be taking my own gloves and earmuffs. I just sent an e-mail to Mari tonight to remind her that the weather can be variable in December and to be sure to pack gloves, etc.
Since we're on the topic of Disney being cold in December...
I think people are always surprised at how cold it can get in Orlando. Since we go every year for Christmas/New Year's I think we're finally learning to pack appropriately. I still remember the year when I was maybe 10 or 12 and my mom had my sisters and I wrapped in beach towels to watch the Candlelight Processional. It was SO cold that year!

1. I would like to thank PJ for pointing out that I missed your other post and inform her maybe somebody ELSE can watch Paco Bell while she is in Florida.:snooty:

2. p.s. The cats name is Paco. She tried to name him Oliver, but that just wouldnt do. :rolleyes1

3. Oh and we did come to a consensus on what PJ was going to name her offspring: Jezebel, Judas, Cain, and Delilah.
1. You're very welcome. It was no problem at all. Really. Should I also find someone else to receive the thank you gift that is sure to involve food of some sort?

2. p.s. The cat's name is Oliver. He's not hispanic.

3. Why didn't you post the other 2 names I came up with? :rolleyes1

4. How was girl's afternoon?

I got my MAGICAL EXPRESS tag today. w00ty w00t w00t!
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I hope you're off accomplishing things. GO GO GO!!

Nab, hope you're getting some things checked off the list as well. :)

I am off to run errands. Glad I got everything packed last night! I also have to get tomorrow's crafts for the "Harvest Celebration" ready to go! Don't get me started on the whole "Harvest Celebration" thing. Major. Eye. Roll.

Hey there hi there ho there.
Howdy folks!

Servived another day pf school.

Thanks for the weather outlook Moo. Sounds very do-able.

Someone pm'd me from the ADR cancellation thread that if I had a WCC ressie she's trade me 1900 park fare, and I snagged one.

Peej - Nice weather -appropriate selection of white tops! ;) Good for you for being packed. Hispanic kitty . . . LOL! Actually, that would be a great name for a chihuahua. What craft do you have planned?

Hi all!

First up, weather report. 75 today. There is HOPE for the December travelers!

Mony, check your PMs!

Twinkie, hope the little one is doing OK. Ouch, is all I have to say. Poor little girl!

PJ, have fun with the Harvest Celebration

BBN, I'm jealous of your Twilight outing with a bunch of nurses!!!

Nabbie, good luck packing!

Today was kind of a rough day for me, it was year-end review day. Now, everyone got a good review, it's not that, and the boss even wrote up the reviews for knitfreak and Asst #2 (something I should be doing).
Just the whole process gets to me, I HATE it. We all did well, I dont really know why it makes me so uncomfortable, we have a strong team. Just hate the whole "feedback" thing. I do give lots of thanks and compliments during the year, but the formal stuff freaks me out. Really more the "suggestions for improvement" stuff. But it's over for another year, YAY!

And I am taking Wednesday off. The boss was a bit hesitant, seeing as we have much work to do, but relented because DS is coming home tomorrow:banana: So 5 whole days off. :dance3:

Knitfreak update: Moving into the mellow phase: She has started a wedding planning spreadsheet with if statements if peopel RSVP to add up totals and asked her parents if they can/will contribute. And his parents will match. The adopted daughter (20) asked her dad if she could call knitfreak mom or mommy. Mommy??????? At age 20 and 37???? She was adopted at age 10, so she has some strong family needs, I guess.
He suggested she talk to knitfreak about that and to wait till after the wedding.
Apparently he survived the knit meet OK on Saturday, she was waiting to hear tonight what they thought of him.

Cel: I told knitfreak about your plans about moving in with breadman (and staying). She asked if that was prompted by her sudden engagement. I told her you didn't say. Any insight you want me to share with her? Since you are sort of connected via fishies and all that... PM if you want, or if not, that's ok too.

We're doing the classic turkey made out of handprints (feathers) and footprints (body). You get the gist. We're also doing the not to be missed "I am Thankful for...." art project. It involves paint. Lord help me.

Marita...enjoy the 5 days off! :dance3: :yay: :cool1: I'm glad you were able to get the extra day.

Well, this is it for me. I think everything is all ready to go. I have to leave for the airport straight from school tomorrow so I'm going to go lug my suitcase down to the car so I don't have to do that in the morning.

I hope everyone has a truly wonderful Thanksgiving and gets to enjoy time spent with family. :goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving PJ!

Marita: Thanks, I hope this other thing pans out. Just waiting to get a response from them. I hope that they meant what they said.

BH, welcome back, missed you!

Your 4th anniversay? WOW, you are practically a newlywed!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Peej! Goog luck with your craft and have a great visit to the beach :goodvibes

BH! You've been missed!!! I just realized that I missed you in my shoutout :grouphug: Happy Anniversary.

Marita - Sounds like you made the best of a stressfu time at work :dance3: I hate performance appraisals too, but I'm only on the receiving end, not the giving end. I know it makes my boss pretty uncomfortable each year.

Knitfreak sure isn't letting any grass grow under her feet, is she? :) Good for her!

And THANKS for the weather report :sunny:

YEP, she is on a mission and a time plan! Babytime is running out, and she wants a wedding, small, but a wedding.
THANKS for the weather report :sunny:

YW!

I have been washing and going though summer clothes to pack.

I think I need the kids to try on somethings even though they only wore some of these things a few months ago they look small now.

Hubby is still working on transportation to the hotel and port. Moo which town car are you using? We usually use Tiffany but not sure about this time because of the price.

Twinkie-- poor girl to have to get so many out at a time and you there to watch. Hannah had two pulled at once because they were lose and the other ones were coming in. They gave her laughing gas. We had to watch she didn't bite her lip afterwards.

BH-- Happy Belated Anniversary!

Marita--:woohoo: on getting the rest of the week off. What a great Thanksgiving you will have with your whole family home.

Wow looks like not a lot going on, what is there a holiday upon us????

BH: Happy Anniversary.

Went back to the Neuro Dr. and found out my neck issue is bigger than I thought. I've had a rough few weeks with my neck, anyways, turns out it's my disc that I only thought was bulging is now herniated.

Doens't favor surgery at this point, good thing, cause I don't want that either, but for my pain and discomfort, he's looking at cortisone injections.

sounds wicked scary!!!!

They told me they'd have to sedate me to do it.

Mony! That's sucky news about your neck  Sending you    I wonder if they'll put you completely under or do the semi-conscious sedation like they do sometimes with a colonoscopy. You're not all the way out with that, but you mostly don't care what they're doing  I've had a bunch of cortisone shots in my knees and am really thankful that the PA uses the freeze spray and usually doesn't hurt me too badly.

Nabbie - I ended up booking with Tiffany based on Pumba's recommendation, but I know it's much more expensive to use any towncar/limo service to get to and from the port. Speaking of which, I need to check to see if they send a confirmation e-mail. I think they just do a phone call.

Any chance you could rent a car instead? I don't know if they have a return place near the port. I'm sure you're already reading on the cruise and transportation boards about options.

Anyhoo, this is me getting ready to do the single digit dance tomorrow! :goodvibes

Mony, yikes on the pain in the neck! Sorry, I couldn't resist, bad joke...
Seriously, hope the shots help and dont hurt too much.

I think it will be pretty dang slow around these boards the next few days.

Nabbie, good luck with the packing and fitting of clothes for the kiddos!
I forgot the details of your trip. Where and how long are your cruising and where and how long are you staying at WDW. (You know my memory sucks!)

Moo, YAY for your single digit dance tomorrow :yay: Don't forget to PM me potential meets with other Moovers.

I just finished working, UGGHHH! I need to straighten up the house before DS gets home about 11pm (YAY). Plus get some dinner and make coffee for tomorrow.

Orlando weather report for today: High of 72, scattered light showers in the morning, clearing by afternoon

Marita - Yay for your DS arriving soon!!!!!!!!!!I don't think Twink or Mony have been able to figure out yet whether/when our schedules will mesh, but if I hear, I'll let you know.

A little tidbit from the allears newsletter for Twink is below. I have the MK and a table service lunch scheduled for one of these days. I'm hoping that once we get back into the park it won't be a madhouse. I'm sure my DD won't be interested in sitting around hours for the taping, but it should be interesting to find out who will be performing. If it's too bad, I guess we'll just eat lunch and hop over to a different park for the afternoon then go back to the MK a different day.

According to an item in the Orlando Sentinel, tickets for the annual Walt Disney World Christmas Day parade taping will not be distributed to passholders, or the general public. Instead, anyone visiting the Magic Kingdom with a valid ticket can view the taping if space permits. In the past, a passholder giveaway distributed tickets for reserved areas in front of the castle and along Main Street. Then, Lightship Entertainment handed out the remaining tickets, which included free admission to the park, to the general public. The main production dates for the parade have been confirmed for December 5 and 6. For more info:

Marita-- I leave on Friday the 5th. and the cruise goes out on the 6th. Then we are staying one extra night at POR when we get off the boat. To expensive to go to any of the parks that day so I might just resort hop and look at the decorations. Not sure yet.

Moo-- we have always used Tiffany too. But we saw another one that was cheaper. We have the problem of getting to the hotel Friday from the airport. They don't have a shuttle from the airport. That is usually what we do, pick a hotel that has one and have Tiffany take us to and from the port.

Mony-- ouch on the shots. When will you get this done?

Cool about the Christmas parade but I read somewhere that it takes along time to tape and there is a lot of down time it just isn't taping a parade going along.

We were down 2 years ago during a taping and I just remember people lining up and down main street to watch. They really passed out tickets? Although I do remember the MC begging park guests to come up to the Castle stage area for Beyoncee's performance. Maybe with this "large" attendence this year, there won't be any need to hand out tickets.

I got to touch Regis and Kelly's stage:rotfl:

As for the shots, I have to call and schedule it. I'd like to have one done before we leave for Disney, so I can possibly have less pain in the neck. Wasn't a bad joke Marita, I thought it was funny.
