morning everyone..

Sun is shining and it is darn cold. They are also predicting more of that dreaded white stuff.....we do not have any place to snow blow it to. The city will have to do snow removal so that the cars and trucks and school busses can use the side streets. oh yah I almost forgot the fire dept. They need to come on side streets too..
yesterday I went to the doctors and had my yearly physical. I grew some more ...he and I laughed about it. I gained more weight. SO my goal is to get rid of the excess and hopefully be back to what i was a year ago. I think it may have something to do with the chips and dips I like to consume. I love chips..So I promise to do better with my diet and maybe I will be back to my normal BMI and get off a med or two.......

Hubby is home for the day as his cholesterol meds are causing problems again with muscle and joint ache......

Educational scmeducational. Not any more historic than every other inauguration. Just another Democrat in office, hopefully this one can keep his little BO in his pants. My boys have their own opinions of BO, there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth when he was elected.


WT - Great poem, yours not the other one. I was actually forced to watch it yesterday because I was at my Mom's and my unemployed Dad never leaves the couch and they don't have cable. At first I didn't know she was reading a "poem" and I was like, "What the freak is she talking about?"

I was VERY disappointed with the lack of respect and response when President Bush came out. Yet they practically did flips when the totally immoral (Bill) Clinton's came out. Just shows the lack of morals and God in our country.

This is new.

Nabbie! It looks like you have way more snow than we do. Yuck. Or it is mainly creative piling at the end of the driveway?

There is more at the ends of the drive way but my front lawn is pretty well what you see at the front beside the car. Hubby snowblows and throws the snow as far that way as he can. Now one will be opening the side gate for awhile.

Pumba -- I feel your pain with the snow. To cold this morning for it to snow but once it warms up to -12 or so it will be coming later on this afternoon.

Kids got to go right into school again this morning.

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) --The Disney Corporation announced Wednesday that they will offer a ‘voluntary separation plan’ to 600 executives in the company as a cost cutting measure.


The package will be different for each executive and will be partially based on their years of service. Those offered the plan will have until February 6th to make a decision.

Late Wednesday Disney released the following statement.

The Parks and Resorts division is in the process of implementing a number of initiatives to contain costs and maximize efficiency,” said Leslie Goodman, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Public Affairs, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. ”Given the continued uncertainty of the economic environment, we must manage our business even more productively.

To that end, today we announced a Voluntary Separation Plan (VSP) for domestic Parks and Resorts executives to achieve further reductions.

This immediate action is designed to allow us to effectively manage our business while we continue to deliver an outstanding guest experience and remain focused on achieving long term growth.”

Disney stock closed Wednesday at 21.23 up .99

I am certainly not an executive, but that could just be the start.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my birthday thus far. Didn't really do anything special, since it's a Wednesday, but there ARE plans for the coming weekend......

ETA: Natasha presented me with a homemade birthday card that read: "Happy 12th anniversary of your 29th year!" I even get snark from the kids!!!!

Disney travel called me today to tell me the Dec trip I took THEY made a mistake and I owe them $200.00. No joke.

I think we received a similar "bill in the mail" after our last WDW trip. The amount was small (less than $50) so I honestly don't remember the outcome or how we handled it. Since I don't remember arguing with them, I think it may have been small enough (and CORRECT "enough") that we just went ahead and paid it.

I got an email not long after I read the online press release. Basically said the same thing, but some additional info.

Our goal is to continue to deliver an outstanding Disney experience for our Guests, while decreasing our cost structure. We have made the decision to offer a Voluntary Separation Plan (VSP) to most domestic Walt Disney Parks and Resorts executives in order to reduce the size of our executive workforce. Participation is strictly voluntary and eligible executives will be given time to consider the program. Once the executive VSP process is complete, we will take additional action as appropriate for our business.

That hits HOME! The voluntary part doesnt sound so bad, but last time this happened, if they didnt get enough people for the voluntary program, there were THE INVOLUNTARY SEPARATION PROGRAM!
