Mony, skin a rat???

MommyP, what is Laguna Beach on the computer?

Sounds like you had a good shopping day.

The early voting lines in Florida have been crazy. The gov just ordered additional operating hours, which is driving the election people nuts. More people needed, libraries are usually closed, or whatever.

Obama and Clinton are having a rally tonight in Kissimmee at 11 PM. That is as 11 at NIGHT. And people have been camping out since 6 this morning. It's NUTS! Lots of campaigning in Florida, as it is one of the swing states.

I saw a poll on TV tonight where they now have the 2 like 3 points apart, which is NOTHING! I bet everyone will be glued to the TV next Tuesday night!

Wendy. glad your program is finally working for you. You were a hot mama last year, I don't know what you are worried about, LOL!

NAB, BRRR, hope you got your heater fixed! It was cold here today, 64 or so. But I think tomorrow is back to low 70's.

I have good news! I found my Disney ID. I thought I would check one more time in my purse, in the tear of the lining in the front pocket of my purse before I headed out to get a new one. Which I did like 5 times yesterday. But today I found it, buried way in the bottom of the purse in the lining. Maybe it's time for a new one? :confused3 But that would involved actual shopping! :rolleyes1

Re: the beeping, I don't have a fire alarm in my room, but I am guessing it must be one of my alarm clocks, although they are plugged in outlets. (except for one, which is not smart enough to beep, I think!)

Tomorrow some of us from work are going to Kona for lunch. We get 50% off coupons every year for the holidays, and some still have some left from last year. So unless some emergency comes up again, that is the plan. I need to check out the menu again.

I think I will go with this:

Island Chicken Sandwich - grilled chicken breast with bacon, Swiss cheese, curry mango mayonnaise, fried onions on a Kaiser served with Asian Vegetable Slaw or Sweet Potato Chips $13.49

I drug out the hamper from the bedroom to do laundry on Sunday, and here is Still sits in the hallway:rolleyes:

Poor DH was home sick today, 102.7 fever. The doctor said not to go to work till 24 hours after the fever breaks. He got 2 prescriptions. But he says he needs to go to work tomorrow :scared:

Everyone

hey everyone.

Today my vac bit the dust....but it was the connections so took the hose and the two ends to the place and they will put the ends on....it is central vac and we have had it forever I think....but we have not had to buy a vac for a while and I was going thru them every third or so year.....so paid a little more and it is still with us.

SOOOOOO hubby and I were across the street from the INN and we went in for supper....they have a small buffet and it was delicious tonight....I had the shrimp and chicken and caccitore and a salad and loved it all..

Marita-- I am still sitting in the cold. It is now 62 in my living room. But it is still warmer inside then out...:lmao: But it is suppose to go down to -8 tonight so I may not want to get out of bed tomorrow. Hubby bought a part for it today and tried to fix it but still won't work. Tomorrow I may be calling a service man to come look at it. Yeah on finding your I.D.

Funny the kids are not complaining. Nicholas is under a blanket on the couch but under that he only has pajama pants on and no shirt. Hannah is in bed with lots of blankets and stuff animals around her and she says it is cozy.:confused3

There is nothing on TV tonight. They are watching hockey I think.

Pumba -- I have had the same vacuum for 17 years. Then I bought the Dyson but still like my old one for my stairs. We have central vac and don't use it the hose is too long and a pain in the butt.

Mommy p- sounds like you had a full day of shopping. I would be tired too.

Nabbie, yikes on the no heat yet, that has to suck!! I would hate to freeze in my house, outside is bad enough!

I agree on nothing on TV tonight, but I discovered WE 20/20 real life murder mysteries tonigh, so that works for me right now. I dont know if you get that up in the great frozen North. And House Hunters on HGTV at 10 is always good for me.

I still need to eat something. DD came home and putzed around in the kitchen, so I got delayed. Slow cooked scrambled eggs with salt pork on toast are in my not too distant future... At least I diced the salt pork so far.

I still cant get my kitchen TV to work. I am thinking of taking a comp day Friday and maybe have someone come to fix it. Or give me hints.

Just popping in briefly to say HI. I have a big deadline at work this week and was there until 9:30 tonight. Dang annual performance appraisal took up some of my valuable time this afternoon  (but it went fine).

bbn - Goog to see you!

Mony and Twink - I e-mailed both of you my itinerary last night. Did you receive it?

Marita - Glad you found your ID!

Nabbie - It's cold at my house tonight too, but it's because my hubby didn't bother to turn up the heat. Won't matter much once I follow Hannah's lead and burrow under my bedcovers ;)

Moo, I hear you on the annual performance review nightmare. The boss sent out a message last week to me and both Assts. Knitfreak and Asst #2 were late, but got it in by Friday. Have I even looked at them? Have I even started on my own? NOOOO!!
Every year I wait to get hit over the head with the deadline. Just one of those things I totally dread, no matter how good it might be. Not to say it will be great, but not bad either it should be pretty good for everyone, so its not a matter rf performance. It's just a total aversion on my part! Just one of those things I totally abhore!

Personally, I think our current system sucks. 40 hours or training is one item. I have been here 36.5 years, how much training do I need? Blahh, blahh........

:stir: ..wow~do you realized..how this site begun?..rebels &

...wickedness? & that was before wt's? , how did
we matured..sooo fast~pass?

.....fyi, i doooo voo, believe..in spooks!

wheat thins? :sad2:

well, utahm?..was you able to di~gest, my enusthasim..for god's

however, everyone..know...alot more about it then they might not
realized..., popcorn:: . kind like being wheat thins ' kindred spirit?

...as you kno....i  ...not re-inventing the wheel, & we have
in placed...so much forgotten...needs, that we often miss our
blessings?.............

........like grand ma..walton used to say, don't throw the baby out
with the bath waters! wowsers , beety pop!

don't think..lil'bity things....can reshaped your whole life style. jordan
did that to us. for the 5~years...prior...we weree in constant debate..
of...who was going have what kind of prevention. me? being most
allergic to pain...and my lil'miss..having jus been thru a whole lifetime
..with our second. made this.....a very interesting story...if you was
lucky enough..to be on the party line..."outside looking in". it took
us..all those years...to settle the debate, then fate took a turn
....& then the dog got in the way! stupid car! [ ok! honey...leave
the dog here! ..will never have the same meaning]. now look @ her!

did. [ of course they don't realize..that,:rolleyes1

..isn't it funny?..we are the only creatures..on earth..making music and

ahhhh..then setting limits on those lacking carnal knowledge , that
their rights end..when their words/actions..hurt others. my buddy
who picked up the game warden, told him i felt..he was going to
raise the stakes. i also told him last week...it's more than acting out,
he has to make sure..we kno..he doing it. his undoing? so when he
shot in the woods, the game warden..had had enough. what this
ignorant..person...can fathom...noise makers....have no impact

..on those redirecting all the time. the helpless & the innocence
needs protecting from those with mental illnesses & deficits...
predator..is an animal term . animals...do not deserve some of
human..worst behaviors.

i guess..he changed his tunes....& told the game warden he was
sorry, and he did things he shouldn't. do you think, since he was
caught red-handed...had an influence?

..classic?..personality disorders...never take responsibility for their
bad behaviors..instead, just project it onto others. and they
think they're smarter..than everyone else. dr. p., a good example.
....then there's reality orientation. .just as easy, to
exposed..their ..lack of knowledge..of a lack of common sense.?

...like i tell my kids..acting stupid..isn't the best way top prove
your smart?

[ psst, i kno more than i care to share..that fits..that molds],

..is it a trick or treat? :flower3:

morning my friends.

Hubby and I decided that I will sit out this Saturdays opening day in the woods. Megara (our dal) is on prednisone and has to drink all the time and pee all the time and she is constantly on the prowl for any food that may be out in the open. She just finished five days of one half pill in morning and one half pill in pm......now she is on five days of one half pill once a day. that starts today. So rather have to put her in the kennel for two nights. Friday night and because we get back late from hunting ....we would have to pick her up Sunday early. SO I am going to stay home with the baby. There is a whole month of going in the woods with family, so one day with our baby will be okey..

Last night I didnt watch any major channels on tv. I think we watched Anthony Bourdain and his escapades. I do like him.......at least he is not eating gross critters on sticks.,

Hope you are all having a great morning...

Well I gave hubby two days to fix the furnace. He is usually pretty good at this kind of stuff. He called the service guy before he went to work this morning. Now I am waiting for a call back with a time.

It is only 57 degrees right now!!!

The sun is shining that will help warm me up a bit. Maybe I will just go outside where it is -2 and come back in and it will feel really warm in here then. :rotfl:

Lil'g -- you must have really like Disneyland to go back so soon.

Speaking of which when does Donald and BH get back?

Moo-- glad your appraisal went well. Can't say I miss work but I do miss having the social aspect.

Marita - Yes it's on the computer. It's an old show and I'm watching it on MTV.com

Nab - I hope you get your heat fiixed soon. -2 degrees is no joking matter. Yikes.

I dressed Isaac in his fleece pants last night and a sweatshirt and socks and he slept through the night. Yay! He was just too cold the night before.

Tomorrow is our chili dinner and Reformation celebration block party at church. I can't wait for the chili! Sadly our church sucks when it comes to getting decent candy, so that's nothing to look forward to. ;)

I finally have heat....it is heaven. Hubby was right what was wrong, had the right part just didn't have it in far enough.:headache: So it cost us $100.00 for the guy to move the coupler down a bit more.

Mind you I had the oven on all day. Made chocolate muffins , then did fish for supper and then Nicholas tells me he wants chocolate chip cookies for a treat for his Halloween party tomorrow. I just finished baking 90 cookies.

The kids and hubby carved the pumpkins tonight too so I have pumpkin seeds in the oven right now.

After the cold we just had it is suppose to be almost 70 tomorrow for Halloween. I hope they are right so we don't have to put winter coats on under or over costumes.

Holy Cow, what a slow day! (NOMoo)

Is everyone making costumes for tomorrow or what?

LilG, wow, another trip to DL? Nurses must make more money than I thought, LOL!

Nab, hope you got your heater fixed, BRRRRRRRRRR!!!

MommyP, hope your enjoy your Chili!

Pumba, Megara will be greatful, LOL!

We did go to the Poly for lunch today. I had the chicken sandwhich, but to be honest, I wasn't that impressed.

Knitfreak is amazingly happy these days, being in love with her new BF (whom she has met ONCE to date, last Saturday and Sunday.) She just smiles and beams, BEAMS I tell you! It's amazing to see!
So we just make fun of her happiness and she laughes like a teenager in love. I just hope it works out for her. The new beau lives 4 hours away in Tallahassee. So they are planning to meet Sunday halfway in Gainsville.

I'm taking tomorrow off, YAY! Unfortunately, so is DH!

This place better have some more postings tomorrow to keep me occupied :rolleyes1

I bet kids will be out trick or treating late tomorrow, seeing since it is a Friday. But my light goes out at 8!!

Everyone

Moo: No I even checked the bulk folder, and nothing. My email is, timandmonica at sbcglobal dot net.

LG: Bait all you want, he ain't bitin'.

Nab, we crossed in posting!!

YAY for the heat! YAY for the 70 degrees!

But Yikes, 90 cookies??? How many kids are those for?

Marita-- that is a long way to go to date someone, 4 hours. I hated an hour and a half when I dated hubby. Mainly because we didn't get to do much dating before he was staying over night because it was to far to go back and forth on the weekend. So that means no just going out for dinner and a movie , I had a house guest for the weekend.

I have to go out tomorrow for more Halloween candy because Hannah is taking half of mine to school tomorrow for her treat for the class party. We couldn't send anything home made because of allergies in her class. Good thing or I would be making more cookies.

I will turn my light off at 9:00 if I don't run out of candy first since it is Friday night and no school we will get alot more kids.

Nab, the new BF stayed in a hotel last weekend. My guess is that won't be for long. But knitfreak has one of her Pioneer events on Saturday, so won't be around for a date that day.

We don't have any candy yet. DH usually buys it, but with him sick the last couple of days, I guess I will go get some tomorrow.

Mony, who is Lil'G trying to bait? I missed that part.

Nicholas has 30 kids in his class plus one teacher and one helper I think. He has had the same kids pretty well all along so they look forward to my cookies. They really like my Christmas ones.

Is your DH feeling better now?

Ncholas has 30 kids in his class plus one teacher and one helper I think. He has had the same kids pretty well all along so they look forward to my cookies. They really like my Christmas ones.

Is your DH feeling better now?

Yes, better, not great yet. Upper respiratory infection. But he got some prescription drugs.

I was just thinking what kind of candy to get.
Snickers, M&Ms (I like the peanut kind, but I wonder will all the peanut allergies these days if that is a good idea :confused3 ) Or I could just buy some for myself :rolleyes1 Baby Ruth. Almond Joy!!!!!! But I need some cheaper stuff too. What do kids like these days?

It's been a lot of years since my kids went trick or treating, but I remember them coming home to dump their loot to see what they got. Lots of fun. Oh, and if anyone remembers, sometime in the 80's there were all kind of scares of razor blades and other stuff hidding in the candy, so everything had to be inspected. And lots of people gave up going out, and just went to private parties instead.
Glad that is over!

ETA! OK, I stand corrected. DD just got home from school and I mentioned the T&T thought. She said she already got 3 bags of candy (Snickers, Hershey Kisses, and a bag of mixed stuff).
Then I said how its been a lot of years since she went out. She said, "MOM, I went every year until 2 years ago" HuH, where? At a GF's neighborhood, she said.
I said, that's just wrong, you were too old!
"I'm a kid at heart" she said. OK then!

I can see PJ doing the same thing, LOL!

I know what they don't like getting ....suckers, hard candy, raisins, and apples. They do love gum. I gave the kids a choice of chocolate bars or gum one year a lot took the gum. We get a lot of chocolate bars and chips around here.

I love seeing what they get too. They sometimes get cans of pop, toothbrushes, and pencils.
