GOOD MORNING!

I'm here. Just been getting up a little late in the mornings. Sorry to worry you all!

Marita....I'm so sorry your DS didn't pass the finals. I'm sure he'll get a position that's perfect for him. Don't worry.

Monica....Congrats on 13 happy years and the NEW CAR! :yay:

Twinkie....I'm gonna order Parenting in the Pew. I neeeeeed it for the little fidgety man. And Spongebob IS funny. I love the one when SB and Patrick order a big box to play in and they use their i-mag-i-nation. We have 3 seasons on DVD. :3dglasses Cuz I'm a mean mama and canceled the cable.

Lynette....Thanks for keeping everyone posted on my "alive" status.

NAB....You got some Facebook friends!

MommyP....Play, woman! Oh....and adorable pictures. Keep 'em coming. I've got to get a fabulous camera like you.

Is Sandy back yet? We neeeeeed a report on the trip.

Wendee, Celery, Moo, Pumba, LilG, Allie, BNCG, PJ, WT ( I know you're out there).....

Everybody have a goog day!

I headed to bed at midnight, the baby woke up and decided she wanted to play until 3. I am so sleep deprived.

Morning.

Twinks - I'm going to lifeway in a bit. I'll see if they have it there.
I'm also going to browse their small group curriculae (how the heck do you spell that?) errr - their small group books. Hee.

Has anyone done the fruit of the spirit series? The covers are really cute!
ha.
great reason to pick a small group series, right?

Our small group finished A purpose driven life and we're trying to decide what to do next.

Just to give you an idea of the kind of surreal place I live in -
Naomi Judd wants us to do her book and she has volunteered to come teach a couple of sessions.
:confused3
I'm oppossed to it because I don't respect her much.
But I told the group if they want to, I'll try my best to keep a straight face.
Bill the Breadman has even said he will make it for those small group meetings.

So I'm going to lifeway to thumb through some books and have an alternative to the celeb bible study.

Marita - glad to see knitting freak has a breadman! ha. I can't wait to tell bill that.

melinda - good to see you - I'm thinking of cutting off cable too, but my brother finally paid me all he owes me and he left the house on time to make it to his new job.

Big L, Moo and other cold people - it was 35 on the way to work today! :scared1: It was very scary!
ha.

nab - I still don't get facebook a lot either. it's kinda hard. Try to find me! I can't log on from work, so I'll try to remember to log on later.

mommyp - copying pages of the bible is a GREAT idea for Camden - he could really use the practice.
I'm just not sure how much they'll be going to church.

I'm not comfortable taking them to my church without talking to Beverly about the whole gay thing.
and I know Bill isn't comfortable talking to Beverly about ANYTHING, much less Amber's gay church.

We did have some great conversations this weekend though. Hayden asked why I went to a different church from my mom and dad and grandma - I told her that our churches believe a little different - that my church lets gay people come and her church isn't that happy for them to be there - and that while her church would let black people come, most of the time they don't - and we're trying to make our church welcoming to everyone (Like hispanic people? Yes, but we don't have many) just like Jesus would - because Jesus helped everyone -
and then I made a mistake.
:rolleyes1
"Jesus took care of prostitutes and people who had leprosy."
"What's a prostitute?" :scared:

Camden asked about communion, so I explained it to him. The night before me and his dad tried our best to convince him that God doesn't have a borther, but I'm not sure if he believes us. :upsidedow

Hi to everyone else!

Yo! Babycow! We kicked Peyton's butt!

Go Titans!

(tee hee. She can't be mad - I talked sports! :rotfl: )

CEL - Which church did you go to on Sunday? I have some of DH's family that went to a church of Christ in Nashville. Now I know there are ALOT of them, but was just wondering if it might have been where DH's grandparents went. (They have both passed away, so that is why they don't go there now. )

Millview church of christ outside of Franklin.
My grandmother has been going there for years and years and years.
The preacher baptized me, my grandfather and my dad all on the same day. :lovestruc

And he also married me.
but we won't talk about that.
;)

Oh, they went to Jackson Park, which is off of Gallatin Rd. (I think) I don't know Nashville very well.

I sit in the "kids section" of our church. I guess I have learned to block out their behavior, or misbehavior. ;) Actually, I am the 4 year old Sunday School teacher, and quite a few of my students sit back there. They are usually caught waving, winking, or smiling at "Miss Allie" during service. ;) Of course, it is usually because "Miss Allie" initiated it. :rolleyes1 Plus "Miss Allie" always has bible related papers and crayons in her "bag of tricks". ;) I just snicker and love those little kids because I remember those days when you had no clue what the preacher had said. There were some Sundays that my kids were lucky they got to leave the church building alive. ;) :rotfl2:

That is a sweet memory for you, your dad and grandad, no matter what. :goodvibes

Glad you clarified that you didn't marry the preacher. ;) :lmao:

So, Lynette - Will you be buying the Tinkerbell DVD that is coming out shortly?!!

Natch! Natasha has been nagging me about its release. We have a whole fairy theme going on in our lives right now. It's a tie-in with the whole Elf on the Shelf experience and the Spiderwick books. I went ahead and got creative with that, and now it's a Thing. Me and my big mouth.

Lynette....Thanks for keeping everyone posted on my "alive" status.

YW! I couldn't let all these Moovers worry, now could I??;)

Mony, happy anniversary (belatedly)! :flower3:

NAB, I sent you Friend Suggestions for any Moovers who are on Facebook.

Hey everyone else! It's rainy and chilly here today. Hope that y'all are getting better weather for today!

Celery -- your had it cold this morning.

Allie-- that is why we have Sunday school down stairs so the kids while the reading and sermon are going on, they only come up for the communion part. They give the priest a question to ask the kids each week about what they learned it is really cute and funny some of the answers they give.

It was very cold in my house this morning my furnance pilot light went out so it was only blowing up cold air in the house. Good thing Hubby had a dentist appointment today and come home for lunch. I was getting pretty cold. And they are calling or rain/snow too.

Lexi-- nice to see you post this morning!:goodvibes Yes I have lots of friends now.

Mony-- hope you can catch a nap today.

Evening all!

Chilly day here too today. High of 64. (WELL, its cold to ME!)
I don't have enough warm sweaters, I need to go online-shopping. I bought 2 that I LOVED last year, but they frayed at the shoulders, so I had to ditch them. Killed me, almost.... Nice soft cable knit turtlenecks, in green and burgundy. WHAA :crying

My dog (russian wolfhound mutt, we think) ADORES cold weather. He could sit outside for hours, just loving life!

My hotel is part of a pilot program for a new system at work. So I (we) went to a class today. 1 -5. Which anyone who knows me will guess I won't last all the way through. Funny how you change when you age, I used to stay at work (and parties) till alll hours. Anymore, if I am not home by 4 pm, I get extremely antsy!

Anyway, I had good intentions of staying, till say 4? But the lovely new system we are piloting was not cooperating. It kept shutting down. We kept starting it back up again, it shut down again. The instructor finally got something to work, but it took forever to get the data. So when he called a break at 2:30 while waiting for the data, I cut my losses and booked it home. 45 minute drive. I used to not mind that either, but now I HATE it.

Well, you are all welcome for this very entertaining post

Now I need to find some dinner. I had every intention to get this yummy tuna salad on a hamburger roll with american cheese for lunch today at the builing we went to for training, but got there too late. So I have eaten NOTHING so far!

Oh, and I think I lost my castmember ID  Which is not good. So I have to try to get to security tomorrow via the backway to avoid guard checks and get it replaced. And dang, that was a good picture too, from back in 1998 or so. Now I look like my own mugshot!

Cel, Knit Freak still couldn't stop smiling all day from her date this weekend with HER breadman :yay:

Nab, yay for having DH to fix the heat. I woke up this morning thinking, wow, it's COLD.

Lexi, good to see you back! Why is it you now can walk to work, but get up late?

:wave2:
I had such a weekend of fun and merriment that there was no time to post! There was so much fun and merriment, in fact, that I'm pretty sure I am ready for boredom and mundane. Hollywood came home on Friday and things were pretty much nonstop. My friend Ben came home with Hollywood as a sort of surprise. It was a special weekend. There was pumpkin carving, a halloween party, shopping extravaganzas, high speed car chases, running amuck, and general mayhem. No one was seriously injured in the car chase, so I figure all's well. Cars don't count in the category of seriously injured, right?

Hollywood came back to my apartment with me Sunday night and went into school with me Monday, so then last night I had to return her to Cincinnati. She flies home tomorrow and then I fly to Orlando Friday after school while the rest of you will be trick or treating. :teeth:

A few pictures.....
Hollywood was a sailor, my friend Eren was the blue fairy from Pinocchio, my other sister was a xavier basketball player (her costume is dead on!), my mom was Lois from Family Guy (complete with Stewey), and Ben was a complete loser with no costume so I forced him to wear mouse ears and glasses. I'm pretty persuasive. :rolleyes1

Is it lame that I was Belle again? I just got too crazy busy to make a new costume and I worked so hard on this one last year.

I read back, but I can't recall any of the comments I had to make. Hope everyone's doing well!
:grouphug:

Yay! Super cute Peej friends & family photos!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: If I had such a nice costume, I'd wear it again too. Glad you had such a great weekend.

Your puppy is so adorable all dressed up also :)

We're having a little Halloween celebration at my office Friday. I have a newish Disney shirt. I think I'll just wear that with my Mickey Crocs.

Lex! Good to see you again

Marita - Nice song. I probably would've wanted to escape that training too  Hope you find your ID soon. Mine came up missing the other day. Since my parking is tied to my ID, I just drove home (one hour round trip) to look for it once I couldn't find it in my purse. It had fallen out of my purse onto the floor in the garage. At least I found it.

Lynette - I'm sure your daughter is loving all the fairy stuff! :lovestruc

Mony - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Cel - Naomi Judd??! You DO live in a surreal place. Is her book already out? I think I'll try Googling it.

Moo, I think my ID is gone! Probably fell out of my purse when I pulled out my keys. (I searched my purse about 1,200 times)
So unless someone turns it in tomorrow morning, I need to make a trip to get it replaced. I discovered it today while going to the training building. Good thing the woman there knew me too (I worked there for a while).

Good thing I know the Security guard at the gate for parking. for work I just wave, Hi, Frank

I found a nice sweater, turtle neck, textured, but the only color it comes in is depressing gray. So Noo!

I have an couple of sweaters on the maybe list, cashmere (for $24.99??) but they dont look all that great or warm either. So I guess I'll keep looking.

I decided that todays dinner was Oscar Meyer wieners on toast! Hey, we get guest complaints for not having hot dogs to go, so how bad can it be, right??????

Something goes "beep beep beep beep beep", every hour in my bedroom. At 39 minutes after the hour. 5 short beeps, so you cant even get there before it stops! I have no clue what it is! And I always forget to go there before it goes off to try to pinpoint it. Driving me (and DH) batty!

Oh, and Cloris Leachman finally got kicked out of DWTS. Good for her she made it this long. she was fun to watch. She was in the bottom 2 with Susan Lucci.

Let this post be evidence that I need a life!!!!!!!!!

Yo! Babycow! We kicked Peyton's butt!

Go Titans!

(tee hee. She can't be mad - I talked sports! :rotfl: )

Gosh, Cel, that was swell of you not to rub it in. :thumbsup2

It's ok though cuz I'm not a fair weather fan. I SHOULD go into the all the reasons why the Colts aren't playing up to par and COMPLETELY bore all y'all with football speak and sports talk, but I wont cuz I'm nice like that.

PEEJ: What hotT college chicks you guys are. Can you please tell the Ben that if I ever need cheering up to please keep his lame jokes to himself? TIA.

Marita: Sorry about your son not passing the test.

Snarkgirl: I never pictured you with a big mouth.:rolleyes1

Nab: You're on facebook too??? I have friends who have moved away who keep trying to get me to create an account, but so far I've done nothing.

 everybody. 'Sup?

So it is 60 in the house right now and the furnace won't light again. Hubby says we need a cupler (?) or something. Sure hope he gets one today.

I did put extra blankets on the kids last night just in case. I just came home from walking the kids from school and I must say it is warmer in my house at 60 them it is outside with the wind. Brrr.

P.J.-- you all look cute. I would get my wear out of Alice too. You did a great job on it.

Marita-- I would think the same as Moo check the smoke alarm it does that when the batteries are low or a spider gets in it....

Babynurse-- where have you been? I better go check to see if you wiped me out again after playing games most of yesterday. :lmao:

This explains SOOOO much! tee hee! :rotfl:

Sorry Windy Lou! I couldn't resist!

:rolleyes1 Hey now!

Marita

Wendy - That's basically my "recipe" too. Although I don't use dry beans. It's canned all the way! ;o) And now that we only ever buy ground turkey it's not going to have red meat.

Save A Lot has 1lb packs of turkey for $1.19 so we use it for everything now. Turkey meatloaf is the best.
(
I've been doing a lot of ground turkey too. Yumm!
You should try dry beans,, very economical and I needed to rotate my "food storage"

I also make my own refried beans, if I remember the day before to cook them. :headache:

Made another apple pie and I could eat the whole thing but I wont......anyone want a piece?
YES!

Ooooo,

Wendell, that was THE longest post I've seen from you in quite some time! Good to see you feeling chatty! Hope that means that things are well with you.
"Thee" longest! I'm always chatty but don't always have good stuff to say. Most of my stuff is not for the faint of heart. More for the dim of brain<<Tag!!!

Well enough, I s'pose. I'm focused on the diet/exercise thang. It's paying off finally!

Thanks Lynt

Wendy - NICE highlighting job there! :3dglasses

Is anybody else getting sick of those Brooke Shields German engineering commercials? NOMarita

Thanks~ and I like those ads! She's funny in a dry way.

So uh, my mom called me today at like noon to wish me Happy Anniversary, and I was dumbfounded because I forgot all about it.

I even wrote the date 4 times and entered all the payments from the parents today and noting tipped me off.

I looked at Tim feeling like a heal and he said, I remembered this morning and then I forgot about it later.

Yes, we are just your average happily married couple............:rolleyes1

It was 13 years today that we married. On that note, I'm done studying and I need to sleep.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Do you do on-line school or do you GO to school? :confused3

PJ! SO cute!!!

BbN- Yes, thanks for not making me skim yet another sporty post. (HI! by the way!!! :flower3: )

Melinda- to you mama! Is your battery charged???

Mony-- hope you can catch a nap today.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That's the funniest thing I ever read. EVER~!

Wendy: I go to school. Yesterday we started our disection unit in Bio and I had to skin a rat. I was not a happy person yesterday.

Gosh, Cel, that was swell of you not to rub it in. :thumbsup2
Yay! Glad to see you saw my post. I was worried that it was all in vain!

peej - who is batman? Yes, it's fine that you were belle twice. It's a great costume! I love your mom's outfit! Bill liked Hollywood's. ;)

mony - Ickypoo! The only mammals we were did fetal pigs - no fur - which somehow makes it better.

nab! Get the furnace fixed!

breadman needs a heating element for his dryer. It takes three times to completely dry. his laundry is starting to pile up because it's too cold to put it on the line.

moo - I've looked, but I don't see a new book from Naomi. I don't know if she wants us to do an old one or what. :confused3

I spent 75 bucks at lifeway yesterday. I did not see Twinkie's recommended book or the fruit of the spirit series I was looking for, so I might order those from amazon.

Hi to everyone else! (especially that deviant Windy!)

Wendy - I never remember to soak the beans before I need to cook them and they never come out right when I do. I hate dried beans. At one time I had like 30 bags from years past of WIC. lol. Now that I need so much peanut butter I never get the beans.

Speak of WIC, I spent about an hour and 15 minutes there this morning. Ick. But now we're good for another 3 months

Afterwards we went to Joann's so I could get some on-sale fleece so I could make Isaac some diaper cover pants and the boys some sleeping pants for cool nights.

Then we tried out a different thrift store, which was, yucky.

Then we went to the bread store.

Then we went to the other thrift store, which had like a million people there.

Then we went to Walmart to go grocery shopping.

I am sooooooooooooooo tired, but thankful that shopping is done.

I got a ton of clothes for the big boys. When they took out their winter things it was all waaay too small. I actually found some good things and they were quite happy with it all. I only spent $30 thanks to Wednesday's senior discount and my Mom. :o)

It's Walmart pizza for dinner and then I'm going to be chilling out in front of the computer for some Laguna Beach. lol

I early voted yesterday. We waited in line for an hour. Has anyone else voted yet?
