BH-- Have a blast with Donald in Disneyland. Maybe one of you will right a trip report for us. Take lots of pictures. Safe Travels.

Off to bake a cake... got to keep moving, sleeping in made me very tired this morning.:confused3

I remember the first time I ever heard the word khaki. I moooved to a new state and my new school's colors were khaki and navy. It sounded exciting and mysterious.

Then I got to school and found out the school colors were dark blue and light brown:eek:

I felt misled. Which I actually heard someone IRL pronounce "mise-uld" which is a family joke of sorts.

Anyway shouldn't kaki be spelled kACKi?

Well, I didn't get to meet with Sandy today. The boss sent me to a meeting to cover for him. I really did not have a choice! So instead of chitchatting over tea and crumpets, I listened to long boring conversations about training and the overload of emails to managers, and other such riveting subjects!! :sad2:
Did you get to call her and tell her you wouldn't be there? :(

do you understand what I am saying.......cause I sure as heck dont......:rotfl:
I think I understood it - are the red ribbons so you can get help to carry the deer out of the woods? and believe me, I TOTALLY understand eating pie then exercising for 15 minutes.

bbn - I thought for sure that you were going to say that they taped a PASTRY on your locker! :lmao:
I think they should've brought some in and left a sweet note from him!
:lmao:

1. Why am I not popular with the campaigners? Maybe they know I've already cast my absentee ballot. Wanna know who I voted for? I did a write in nomination. Celery for president, Cookie for VP.

2. She was sick from getting the flu shot? I thought the flu shot was supposed to prevent sickness. I am getting paranoid about getting sick now that my assistant has been out all week with bronchitis.

3. Hollywood is coming for a visit on Friday and I think I feel a cold coming on. *cough cough* Don't I look like I might be sick on Friday??

1. Who is this cookie that is my running mate? Can I eat them?
2. I'm sure babycow or twinks will correct me if I'm wrong, but most vaccines work by giving you a tiny bit of the disease or illness they are trying to prevent so that your body builds up antibodies - as a result, you can get a little sick, but it is allegedly less than how sick you would get if you caught the full blown thing. I dunno.
3. You look very sick. You and Hollywood should have tons of frequent flyer miles as much as the two of you go back and forth!

Does the thought of me being your daughter in law at all scare you away from this idea?
You'd make a great daughter in law!

If you feel so bad for them, I'd be happy to bring them to you in just a few short days. Hand deliver them, even.
Do it! Marita needs crayfish! :lmao:

Marita....Will you get to meet up with Sandy? Have you met her before? She wasn't at lunch at Flame Tree that day?
Marita and Sandy both went to tea with us!

Celery: Did you just one up my joke?:snooty: Oh and here:;)
I do not understand these smileys you use. :confused3 Can you please explain again?
:upsidedow

Hi Moovers...Ive waited till the last minute to start packing....lol.... after I finish I will drive to Bowling Green and meet up with Donald to head to his siters house tonight in Nashville and she will take us to the airport in the wee morning hours before daylight. Have a good week....see you when we get back :goodvibes:

Have a good trip! You too, donald!

if I track a deer that has been shot.......then I put a ribbon in the trees as I go...that way I can find my way back to where I was left by the men folk...or they can follow the ribbons and know where the heck I am.....yah that one sounds better.....I got up once when I was cold and it had been snowing......Like white out conditions....I left my backpack on the ground where I was sitting.....I just walked a few yards away and I could not see where I came from.....and could not follow my tracks back cause the snow was so fast coming down.......so I get scared to be out alone and not know where the hell I am.....SOOOO now I carry a walkie talkie and my cell phone....so someone will know that I am stressed and alone and scared ..:confused3

Pumba - You are CRAZY, woman! "If I track a deer that has been shot..." "white out conditions"

;)

My favorite color is actually purple, but I do like to give Peej a hard way to go about stuff.

I do, however, own khaki colored items of clothing. But it's not my favorite thing to wear. My favorite thing to wear depends on my mood. I always like to change things up. cuz I'm crazy. but not kaki crazy.

Just curious...why do we need to know what color is your fave? Are you trolling for Christmas gifts or sumpn? Jeez. In that case, my favorite colors are beige and grey.

Last night, I spent time putting away all my warm weather clothing and shoes. Swimsuits, shorts, sandals, capris, . Yes, BBN and Twink, even the camo capris. :sad1: Waaaah! Can we just fast-forward to early May now?

I am a huntress.......I play with the big boys...and so does my cute granddaughter .....she has been hunting with us since she was 13.....she got her first deer early one Thanksgiving morning....(I stayed home to cook the bird) it was like 10 degrees with a wind chill and they decided to come home...she saw the deer and one shot (just like her gramma) she got an 8 pointer one other year and loves to go hunting......she went with her grandfather and her uncle (our son) moose hunting and she saved her papas life...his gun exploded and she applied pressure on his neck and kept it there until they drove 20 miles out of the woods and then another 30 miles to the hospital......she is quite a gal...I was able to go back hunting a month later for deer season (my son took me) and got my deer on the first day.....I forgot about being scared to death of my gun exploding. We love the outdoors and hunting and just watching nature too.....

Can we just fast-forward to early May now?

Um. No we can't. I'm sorry, but you northerners HAVE to have super cold and miserable temperatures so we can enjoy a break from the heat. ;)

Pumba
- Scary

I do hate the cold windy days. But I do love a white Christmas, when you do not have to go anywhere and you can just look out and see clean snow. Then reality hits you and the dirty snow.

But it has been very cold and windy. The weather man said it was in the high 70's last year that this time. It is way to early for snow and we got some the other day and they say more is coming on the weekend. Brr.

Pumba -- sounds scary , but so does shooting anything. Don't get me wrong we had rifles in the house because my dad hunted every fall. Dad alway had my mom make rabbit pie every Christmas. We kids never ate any though. It was all his.....

Dang, I first read this that you put away all your warm clothing. Why would she put away her warm clothes at the beginning of winter?

I am obviously sleep deprived!

I finally broke down and turned on the furnace tonight. It is snowing in the western part of our state. By weekend it'll be back in the 70's.

Kansas: If you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes

I almost turned off the A/C in the car today. But I didn't! Sweet revenge for summer!

Goog Morning!

It's a sticky icky rainy day, again.

No plans for today. Maybe I'll dust. I just think dusting is a lost cause. As soon as you wipe it "off" and leave, it settles back down onto the surface and is dusty again.

Hi, all! Been like Lexi, reading along, but no time to post. Quick post here before the bus comes.

I did see the lovely Poppins and Twinks family. What a goog lookin' bunch y'all are. MommyP, I loved the way you wore your sling, as to not get tan lines. ;) :rotfl: I LOVED my sling!!!! I couldn't get anything done, if I didn't have DD in it. Now my wasn't as pretty as the MommyP creations. It was bought at the local big megamart baby store. :goodvibes

Hope Hound and DTD have a great time in D'land.

PJ, you will be amazed at how much English your non-English speaking child will pick up. We get that too, but our children are preschoolers, and usually are somewhat non verbal anyway. So some days are like this -> :scared1: (that's me pulling my hair out ;) )

Hope Sandy and family made it back safely and had a truly magical time. Hope Tim was able to forget about work (for a little bit) and share in the pixiedust:

Prayers said for those that need them.

Hi Mony, Wendy, Lynette, Steph, Debbie, Rob, Cheryl, Marita, LilG, BBN, Cel, Celmama, Pumba and anyone else I may have accidentally left off this list.

Baby Jackson needs your prayers again. He has been to the ER three times this week, and it is a $100 each time they go. They are under a lot of stress right now. Please keep them in your prayers. Thanks guys! Love you all! :grouphug:

Hi Pumba the Huntress! I love that you hunt with the big boys!
There's a fair amount of female hunters here too, but most of us shop while the men provide a freezer full of meat. I can't wait to score some deer jerky.

Prayers said for those that need them.

Allie:  Sending prayers for baby Jackson.

Sup, Moovers? It's finally Friday, so I'm this guy: :woohoo: :woohoo: Although, somehow Natasha talked me into a late playdate w/her BFF. Since BFF has gymnastics until 5:30, the playdate won't begin until 5:45, and the DD informed me that she and BFF would like my Crunchy Chicken for supper. Hmmm....now I'm a short-order cook too? Also, DH is working his second job this evening, so I won't see him until 11ish.

Anyone up for chat later? If so, I'll be around at 9ish. :hyper:

I am no huntress.

I am brave and have TASTED: Squirrel, rabbit:tastes like chicken:rotfl: , deer (blech), alligator (blech blech), frog.

I prefer regular meats, like chicken, beef, and pork.

I love me some seafood. Crab and lobster YUM!

Can you tell I'm dieting. sigh.

I have to catch up to Wendy.

Got a new car yesterday. Check out my new car!

The only thing I don't have is the table with the swivel seats and the sunroof. BUT, it has everything else!

Plus it came with one year of Sirus Sat. TV/radio!
