my new water heater actually dispensed hot water tonight. I had my doubts(sp, this doesn't look right) this mornining, no hot water!!

The guy needs to come back. The access cover in the heater is dented. Not that that harms anything. But DH said he is NOT going to pay $1000 for a new water heater with a dinged cover! (about 4x6"). So the guy was supposed to come by today but got here too early before hubby got home.

I know there are a lot worse things in life than a dinged water heater access cover! Just one of those small annoyances at the moment.

Nothing compared to the sad stories of some people (not even close), so I not complaining.

I dunno 24,000 for 20 days? Magic Music days, story tellers (only 3 nights) Minnie and Mickey, and Santa on Christmas Eve. I think all the hotels do it.

I think all the Magic Music days performers are free, like high school kids, they get free tickets.
But there are stage managers, cosmetoliogsts, costuming. all sorts of periforal folks.

OH, DID I TELL YOU ALL I DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN??????????? WELL, ALMOST!

We got a new Food and Beverage Manager. After running way over budget for 1 1/2 years, he whipped then in line, and we were on or below budger for 3 weeks now!!!!!!!!!
I love that man! And I told him so too!!! I had ulcers over the running over the past year and more!

It is really amazing what a great leader can do!

I said something about that at a meeting today. His managers who were there laughed and said they had badly scratched backs to show for it.

Anyway, I told the new manager that it was a miracle, I went away for 2 weeks, and my whole world has changed! And I meant that too. Went from 1000 hours a week over buget to being right on and even under.

I know that may seem boring or silly to you all, but its a big deal to me. It gave me ulcers for over a year.

I did learn that he likes positive reinforcement

Love the baby in the sling too with the beautiful ocean in view.......I love to go to the ocean .....of course even in July the surf temp was like 54 degrees....hurts up to your knee caps.........COLD........that was at REID state park in Maine.....

I ws sitting here reading the newspaper earlier wondering if I should get the flu shot or not......Last year I got the flu but not the one they were giving the shot for......so I am debating.....should I or shouldnt I? ANYONE here doing it....they said to do all children too.......I will think it over......

I am going to be losing those "NEW" few pounds that found me....cause it is making my morning BS high....well its high for me but not a bad high for others...I will get over this if I have to use duct tape......ROFL.

Hey wanna hear a story of how i opened mouth, inserted foot. (moo you said you like my work stories, right? and i do have the capability to laugh at myself)


So we have this new pain pump at work that is inserted into patients after surgery to help control their, umm, well, ya know PAIN.

there is a service rep who did an inservice on the new device. he came back the next day, which was Saturday, to ask the nurses how the patient did with the pain pump through the night. BUT, and here's the best part he brought muffins and pastries. from a fancy schmancy bakery in loouhvull.

alright, alright, ALRIGHT. he was really cute. like, really, really, "oh God please help me to avert my eyes and not stare at him" cute.

so he is talking about the pain pump and several nurses have gathered around to hear what he has to say (and to grab a pastry when he walks away) and he hands over his business card and says

"My cell number is on there. Call me anytime"

and I say, THINKING OF HIM BRINGING US MUFFINS b/c I have a serious food addiction

"Do our phone calls have to be pain pump related?"


and he goes "Uhhh, well....."

and then I stammer "I meant in case we need more pastries"

and then he realizes what I meant and starts to laugh.

BUT now none of the nurses will let me live it down. These people now I have food issues! curse them.

so i go to work yesterday, and guess what is taped right in front of my patients chart?? His business card!!!! and guess what is taped on the computer with my name written on it???? and guess what is taped on my locker?????

bunch of wenches. payback is heck.

At the end of the day, the principal came in and asked each of us to make a list of what we accomplished. She said she'd be back for it in 10 minutes. Being the smart astarstar that I am, I made the following list:

1. Ate free donuts.
2. Texted people to help with the boredom.
3. Walked around the building twice to warm up.
4. Ate free pizza.
5. Wrote prank emails.
6. Ate free candy.
7. Walked around the school looking for the ugliest teacher sweater. (Another teacher and I have a bet going as to who can find the ugliest teacher sweater. It's on the dl though, so don't tell.)

For some reason the other teachers recommended I not submit that list. I was just trying to be honest!

Hubby and I went shopping tonight.....so that tomorrow night we can go shooting the guns to make sure they are on the mark......I love this ....but if it gets much colder...I may have to hibernate and not hunt......that is one thing I am afraid of....if I get up and walk around.......I will get lost in the woods.....I am not a good "remember where I am type person"......but If I got a deer I would put up red ribbons up as I went to track my deer......I remember a few of the lessons..

ETA: DS son just called. He is trying to get out of flight training in Colorado Asap, he's bored. He is mostly sitting around right now, because the weather is so bad that they cant fly. He might get out by Friday, it the weather improves. His Navigator training got moved up to January, so then it will be 10 months till he is in active service. I asked him what they need Navigators form anymore, with GPS and all, and he said mostly for telling the crew when to drop stuff like food or bombs [

I asked him about dating. Not goog news. 5 girls out of about 120 people. And they cant even date those.
I will never become a grandmother, WHAAA!

On the positive side, he said he will probably come home for 3 or 4 days at Thanksgiving!

Plus 2 weeks over Xmas. I told him to let me know what he wants me to cook (if anything). I will happily make cabbage rolls or stuffed peppers (lots of work for both, but WTH!!)

My DD is really popular with political campaigners (sp) for some reason. She's 23, I guess they want to get her early. It's getting annoying! Phone calls and door to door people!

Why am I not popular with the campaigners? Maybe they know I've already cast my absentee ballot. Wanna know who I voted for? I did a write in nomination. Celery for president, Cookie for VP.

According to my sources (I enjoy using that phrase, can you tell?), schools in my area pay 13.4% more than those in LooUhVull, and the cost of living here is 8.9% higher than in LooUhVull. Plus, you'd have the added attraction of being within driving distance of the Lalijack Estates. And who wouldn't love that?

7. THIS is my kinda activity! My BFF and I used to also try to find people with the "Most Unfortunate Wardrobe Choice", and "Nastiest Hairstyle" when we were out someplace together. Fun!

I swear that happens to me every time Hollywood and I are in a church together. We used to get in sooo much trouble for that growing up. When you have to be quiet all of a sudden everything becomes so much funnier!

I don't think anything interesting happened today. I went to school. I taught some kids. I went to professional development from 4:30-7:30 and learned a lot. Hope everyone else had a nice day!
