Just popping in briefly . . . my Internet access was down last night :(

Hopefully it will be working tonight so I can view all of the photos.

I got to see all the pics too! WoO Woo!

After my lab practical exam, I was one of the last to finish, I started up a conversation with the prof. and we got on the topic of disney, of course and she has been there once or twice a year for the last 25 years.

Infact she was there right before me this summer and is leaving right after me in December. I'm talking the very next day.

We stood there for 35 minutes talking about disney.

Do you think that could influence my grade a little! J/K.

remember last week when I said I bombed my quiz, well not really, surprisingly I got 8.5 out of 10. Who knew that I'm that good a guesser?

Lots more studying for my lecture exam on Thurday.

Toodles!

Those pictures were so cute . You have the sweetest little boys. Some are blue eyed and some are brown eyed. When are you going to have a sweet little princess? Your pictures made me feel better. Thank you. We just came back from seeing DS at the hospital. He says they think he is Bi-polar. So I am taking it one day at the time. I appreciate all the hugs.
Have a few more. :grouphug:

Thanks for that info? According to my sources, Massachusetts is 8th in the nation for highest paid teachers. My town's teachers earn an average of $55,224 and have a teacher-student ration of 13-1. You're welcome again. :cool2:
Just fyi, you ASKED for that info! :snooty: And do you care to share the cost of living in this area of the country vs. the cost of living in Boston to go along with that salary stat? I just might be picking up and moving to Boston! Hey, it could happen...

PJ :rotfl: at your note!! and as a sub (note I may be a tad stubborn) I really believe that kids are "good" - they may just be.... curious.... um... adventurous... um... well anyway, when I see notes like that - I totally ignore them (grateful yes, but I try and connect with all the kids - and I try not to ask any of them for help.... lol I said try!! I love my job tho!!) and have fun lesson plan shopping!!
Glad to hear you're still enjoying your trip! I love Fantasmic. I'm so jealous of you getting to see it tonight!
I walked by my room several times today to snoop and the kids were pretty much being good. I guess none of them decided to be curious or adventurous. The one little bugger who I knew would be a problem ended up spending the day in the security guard's office after an incident with scissors, but that's another story.

Last edited by TwinkieMama : Today at 09:07 AM. Reason: yet neither space nor pup is on the spelling list, I bet the teachers came up with this at a "grade level mtg" aka vacation
What could you possibly be talking about? I got SO much done today! :rolleyes1 At the end of the day, the principal came in and asked each of us to make a list of what we accomplished. She said she'd be back for it in 10 minutes. Being the smart astarstar that I am, I made the following list:

1. Ate free donuts.
2. Texted people to help with the boredom.
3. Walked around the building twice to warm up.
4. Ate free pizza.
5. Wrote prank emails.
6. Ate free candy.
7. Walked around the school looking for the ugliest teacher sweater. (Another teacher and I have a bet going as to who can find the ugliest teacher sweater. It's on the dl though, so don't tell.)

For some reason the other teachers recommended I not submit that list. I was just trying to be honest!
p.s. you have a beautiful family!!

Peej: Thanks for the Peyton pic. I still "lof" him even though the Colts lost badly on Sunday. You saw a cute movie? ME TOO!
Was it SO cute? Or just cute? Because mine was SO cute. Even when I was asleep during the entire middle part of it.

While not REALLY a compliment, this is about a positive remark as I've ever gotten from the BBN so I wanted to highlight it. Not often you see those words that close together in one of her posts.

I am here to represent the bbn, and on her behalf I would like to let you know she was sleep deprived and this slightly positive remark was an error as a result. Pretend it never happened. It will be erased from her record. Thank you.

Twinkie and MommyP, fabulous pictures! Thanks for sharing (TMwt)

Cel and Celmom, hope they got the problem for brother/son identified so he can get some help.

Wendy, I remember the picture picking events too!

Mony, one more test down! :thumbsup2

Sandy, yes, it is beautiful weather right now now! :dance3: Glad you are taking it easy on this trip. So much more relaxing than doing commando.
I'm still good for tomorrow as of right now, but I never know if some emergeny request will come in. Every year for employee survey, this comes up as an issue. Emergeny, got to have it NOW requests. Like the question is " Fire drills are not an issue where I work"" Does it ever get better? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It never gets better!

Seems some VP somewhere asks a question, and everyone goes into panic mode to answer right THEN! And most of the time it requires asking other people for the answers. Which all takes time. OK, that's my whine for today (or at least for now, I need to leave my options open. LOL)

RE: crowds. Bad for you, good for me. Hopefully I can keep my job a bit longer. They say vacations are the first to go for consumers(or at least the far away ones). I lived through a few lay-offs, and its NO FUN!

So after I left the Halloween festivites yesterday, my region won the pumpkin carving competion (the geek guy on the team brought power tools to drill). Knitfreak won best original costume (a pioneer dress with apron and cap with home-spun wool she all made herself) plus she brought her spinning wheel and spun!
Asst #2 won best overall outfit. She sported a fancy pirate coat and tricornerd hat, complete with dreadlocks wig and jewerly. Lace and all on the outfit.
She just declared bankruptcy this spring, I wonder why??? :rolleyes1
Oh, and the regional guys won the Rockband game. Which I watched a bit of, and I have NO CLUE how that works! Nor do I care! So Cel, dont bother to explain. LOL!

Alas all they won was a certificate and a bag of candy:sad2:

It has been snowing all day. Good thing it is not sticking to the ground though.

And windy too my Halloween stuff took a beating today. Hubby had to fetch my ghost in the backyard, good thing it landed in ours and not someone elses.

The kids are pretty excited about it , me not so much.

P.J.-- always wondered what teachers did on days they were in the school but not in class. :lmao: Now what do you do on Professional Development Days, do you call them that there. We have one scheduled for next Monday.

Mony-- all this study and other activities, I'm tired just reading about it.

Moo-- was wondering were you were. Hope your weather is better then mine.

Marita-- are you awake?

1. Nah, that's way too far from BBN.
2. Point made. Thank you. :rotfl2:

Snow? Crazy! Professional development translates into "really long, really boring meeting." In our last professional development, another teacher and I got in trouble for passing notes. Is it a coincidence that this is the same teacher that agreed to join me in my quest for the ugliest teacher sweater? I think the 2 of us might have something in common. :scratchin

I'm sorry, did you say something? I couldn't see past the CREEPER!!!

Marita-- are you awake?

Yes, I am awake! I just posted a long post!

Snow! wow, somehow that sounds lovely to me :cloud9:

I need to fix something to eat. I am thinking scrambled eggs with salt pork....

My DD is really popular with political campaigners (sp) for some reason. She's 23, I guess they want to get her early. It's getting annoying! Phone calls and door to door people!

FABULOUS. MommyP and Twinkie!

And a great lookinng Mom and baby to boost!!!

Nelly? Is that lipstick and everything?
You are so pretty!

Your little man is delicious!

And the sling is so rich looking! Beautiful! I just had a blue and white striped "Over the Shoulder Baby Holder" for all 4 kids. Loved it!

I think we have the same carpet. Desert Fawn stain master plus?
Love the fire place too! How cozy :thumbsup2 You KNOW you hurried and stuck a seasonal nick-nacks on the book shelf cuz you know I'd study the background stuff! :rolleyes1 I bet you dusted too. LOL!!!

Thanks Marita!

1. Yes, this is level 2 makeup (everyday work and/or church makeup). Level 1 would be put on some powder to cover up the worst of the worst and Level3 would be date/interview/professional portrait ready.
2. Isn't he?:goodvibes
3. I love how "rich" it does look. It is very comfortable too. Also because it is so wide I can completely cover Grasshopper.
4. The carpet came with the house. I do like it. My walls are "winter wheat" and notice the edge of my new couch ;)
5. I did! but not today. I had company over the weekend so I did DUST :faint: and put out seasonal Knick-knacks. :thumbsup2 also a delightfully tacky jack-o-lantern tablecloth

Dust? Did someome say dust?

Is that something you are supposed to do :confused3

Beautimous pictures!!

Now I want a sling and I don't even have a baby to put in it. Do you make purses too?

Marita-- had to go back and read your post. We must have posted at the same time.

Twinkie-- Love the pictures. Your beautiful and Gabe is a cutie!

I have been watching Biggest Loser and I really want Vicky to go home. :sad2:

w00t! Twinkie pics! I got to see the whole box of snack cakes today! Twink, thanks for sharing....your family is beautiful! Can I just have a little teensy nibble of Grasshopper? I want to scoop him up and give him a squeeze!

MommyP, great job on the sling.

Being the smart astarstar that I am, I made the following list:

7. Walked around the school looking for the ugliest teacher sweater. (Another teacher and I have a bet going as to who can find the ugliest teacher sweater. It's on the dl though, so don't tell.)

According to my sources (I enjoy using that phrase, can you tell?), schools in my area pay 13.4% more than those in LooUhVull, and the cost of living here is 8.9% higher than in LooUhVull. Plus, you'd have the added attraction of being within driving distance of the Lalijack Estates. And who wouldn't love that? :cool2:

7. THIS is my kinda activity! My BFF and I used to also try to find people with the "Most Unfortunate Wardrobe Choice", and "Nastiest Hairstyle" when we were out someplace together. Fun!

MOO HOO! I'm able to get on-line tonight so I can see all the lovely pics! :thumbsup2 Thanks, MommyP and Twink!!!!!!! That sling ROCKS! And it is greatly enhanced by how cute you and Gabe look modeling it, Twink :)

CelMama and Cel - Sorry to hear about the bipolar diagnosis :grouphug:

And Steph  so sorry to hear about your friend's loss.

Now I need to do a little bit of catching up:

I AM taking my kids via Suburban to California for Christmas with MY family (the FUN ones). Booked the new Hampton Inn through Getaway.

Buck Poles? LOL (sorry) Yes, They only do so many licenses per weapon per animal. "X" amount of elk, moose, bucks, does, etc. (I think I got that right :confused3
Wendy! I'm glad you're going to get a chance to visit your family for Christmas!

Ummmmm, a buck pole is where they string up a bunch of "trophy deer" for every one to see. Like outside a bar "up north". I won't post a pic since I have already exceeded my squeamish quotient this past week :rolleyes1

Mony[/B], I am LOVING Pathwords on Facebook! I have games going with several people, and I'm kicking butt so far! Any other takers? :cool2: !
I've been missing you around here, too, L! Guess I had better learn how to play this new game. I've been trying it solo and so far I'm not scoring all that great. I need some lightning quick bbn game skillz

Nabbie - No snow here so far, but it has been pretty chilly. At least it wasn't rainy and windy today like last night. Any luck snagging a hotel for the night before your cruise? I told Mari that we might have company for dinner and she said that was fine. She drove back down to NC yesterday, so I'm missing her today. Jasper and Sukie also seem to be missing Cash too.

So, Marita - Are you saying that the characters are expensive due to holiday overtime?

Peej - Glad to hear you have a fun teacher to hang with! Goog thing Lynette's got your back re: the sugar cookie dough. It never would have occurred to me that that would potentially be an allergy issue :confused3 But I suppose they may also make chocolate chip cookie with nuts dough there too.

Sandy - If you're reading, I'm so happy that you're having fun despite the crowds and your hubby's work crisis! :goodvibes
