Marita - Just take a bag of puffy Cheetos. They're ORANGE!

Or mix some candy corn and peanuts together. It tastes yummy.

The nutter butter ghost cookies are cute though. Peej, can you just get some Pillsbury sugar cookie dough and shape the circles a bit so they look like ghosts before baking them?

Nabbie - It's freezing here this morning. I finally broke down and put the heat on in my room (we have baseboard heaters so we can adjust the thermostat in each room) because my nose was getting so cold during the night.

Halloween food crises resolved!

I appreciate all the suggestions, but me an baking are not friends!

I ended up getting some Entenmann's cupcakes (baked fresh daily) with orange icing and candy corn for $5. I don't care if anyone eats them, at least I am bringing something. And I can always leave them in some office or cafeteria, someone will eat them.

Had a fun time fighting with my internet connection today. True to form, just as I was thinking of cancelling my MSN account and second phone line again seriously, my network connection wiped out. Then I had the dangest time getting it to connect again. It said it was connected, but then wouldnt connect to any pages. Very confusing! I finally clicked something, non idea what, but it worked. This was over about 5 hours!!! (I know, I'm addicted!) :rolleyes1

Nab, Moo, Pumba, Wndy and all other northerners with cold weather, may i say BRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Low 80's here. Our time of year to enjoy after infernal heat May to mid-October. I have the patio door open. Well, with the screen door closed..
Pumba, we get once a year pest control, it works great.

OK, I better go get a shower before hubby goes to bed. I still havent unpacked my suitcase :sad2: I need to do it tonight though, I need my dress pants for tomorrow. All of which involves :laundy:

Marita-- good job in finding something to take to the party. I would not wear a costume either. But I do like looking at others dressed up.

It is very cold out right now. Hannah came in for her mittens she is playing outside. I hate that gets dark so early now.

Nicholas loved that I let him go to his banquet alone. He had my cell phone again and kept calling me. When he got his metal, when they served pizza, etc.

Hannah has bee talking non stop about her camp too. She wanted to do the dishes tonight because that was her job there, how long will that last I wonder.

Nab, I would nt count on the desire to do dishes for LONG!

Seems like Nicholas is growing up. Sweet that he still wanted to call you though.

I got my shower in, but no laundry. I have other stuff I can wear tomorrow.

I am going to make some dinner I bought in Germany. Ragout Fin, served in puff pastries. You cant get this stuff here :confused3 I looked onlne, and found one place to order it from. What I would really like though is a decent bakery that makes rolls fresh, and the good kind. I dont know what it is with the states, theres just isnt any good bread!!!!!!! I heard it's the water :confused3

Monica....What's wrong with an above ground pool in the basement??? :rolleyes1

UGH! What hideous drama!!! :headache:

Marita- I love that you consider me a Northerner! :cutie: I'm practically a Mexican. Yummmm! I mean, DARN all those snack suggestions!

Jordan is back from camping in the West Desert with his DGF's family. They explored old mine shafts and saw deer (not at the same time)

oh and at least one of you will care about this:

The deer hunt just started last Friday. This is when all the menfolks grow beards for warmth and gather in neon orange and shoot stuff. Sometimes they even get deer(s). I know this because the Hunsanker Meats processing place had a half dozen deer OUTSIDE by the public road hung upside down on their conveyors for processing. Gather in any public place where males converge and you WILL hear this: "Djya git yer deer?" Which is actually one word: "djyagityerdeer". Reciprocating male will either grunt a "no" or brag (and exaggerate about it's points) about his deer.

Every place in Salt Lake that caters to women from shoe stores to craft stores, will host "Deer Widow Weekend Sales". Fun is had by all.

Just a quick drive by to say Hi you all! I'll be back later tonight to read back and decide if I want to post words of wisdom or not!

Dang, that sounds like FUN! I want in on that!!!!!!!!!! I need some local girlfirends. Hmmm, Maybe I should join one of knitfreaks clubs??

DD has been hounding me to clean out stuff. SO I did yesterday. TOday she said, clean out the office closet. I said I already did yesterday.

She said, you have a lot a clothes for someone who never goes out!!
Sad comment on my life! And I really dont even have many clothes.............

Hey everybody,
I've got router problems and won't get it fixed till we're back from DL. First time I've gotten this far in 2 weeks. I read but when I start to post, the lights start flashing in sequence, and I'm down.
Lex, BIG WINhuh? Getting drubbed by youse guys doesn't look so bad now.
PJ, they had one of those hissing Madagascar roaches on Stupid Pet Tricks on Letterman a few years ago doing a 'high wire' act. Over fire. Freakiest thing I've ever seen. I work in a hospital with 90 (soon to be 120) of 'those' kids.
Marita, I didn't get to say bye so welcome home! I want some real beer.
Rob, you still hold the MIA record. Goog to see ya again.
UMA, we're gonna miss ya next week at the Mother Church of Disney.
Pumba, no moose in Florida, guess you'll have to settle for solar bears.
Better hit post before blip blip blip. See ya'll.

Hey y'all. super busy weekend. it was our church's homecoming, so I was there pretty much the whole time.

please pray for my brother.
He's in a mental insitution right now. Should be released soon, but we're not sure.
My sister has problems with delusions too, so now they're thinking it might be hereditary.
I might be next.
Yay me!

also pray for celmama. she's kinda tending the loony bin these days!

I skimmed - is Hannah back yet? Congrats to nicholas on his costume win - marita, get some sleep! mony - family sucks! windy - it still mystifies me that there are rednecks in utah. peej - how about milano cookies? yummy and no peanuts! they're about the right shape and size.
hi to everyone else!

Thanks for checking in, DTD. You know how we worry ;) If you can read this even though posting is challenging, I sure hope you, BH, and the rest of the Big Guys have a great Halloween trip!!!

Nabbie - Enjoy having Hannah do those dishes while you can!!! Mari decided not to do any cleaning while she was home. But she knows I'll give her some $$ for her drive south anyway. We just got back from going out to dinner and shopping at the grocery store for a few non-perishable provisions. She got most of her packing done this afternoon.

Wendy - We have deer season like that here in Michigan too, but it's bow season now, I think. Firearm season is still a month away. My hubby stopped going up north during hunting season a couple years ago (dang it). Do you have buck poles in Utah too?!

Marita - Yay for food from home!

:grouphug: Cel and Celmama!

DTD, I can identify with router problems!

Have a fabulous trip! We expect a trip report!:)

Please say a prayer for my friend Terry. 9 years ago, her daughter had a heart transplant. We lost her this week, she was 14 years old. My heart hurts...

I just downed a couple of Simply Sleep tablets a half-hour or so ago so I'm not sure if what I write will make any sense or not! :rotfl2:

Rays are going to the World Series! (Worst to First!)

We still have our Juno dial-up account and a second phone line also. That backup has come in very, very handy at times, some of them quite critical. Plus we may use the second phone line (computer line) to call the first phone line (main line) from time to time to get ahold of another immediaite family member simply because we are too lazy to walk upstairs to the bedroom part of the house.

GOOD MORNING!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. Mimi spent the night at home and stayed with us til 8:00 last night. I love that kid.

Inspired by the Twinkie (who has at least 150% more children than me), I scraped wall paper off the walls on Saturday. And now I'm ready to paint. As soon as DH fixes the ceiling. Five years from now.

Monica....If your sister's DXH sounds like a real piece-a-work. Prayers for those sweet boys.

Celery and Celmama.....   Prayers for you too.

Wendee....Didjagityerdeer. :lmao:

Marita....MAKE THE BREAD!

DTD.....How ya doin!?! Yes, BIG WIN! Joker is the man! Too bad the mojo never seems to kick in til the 4th quarter. Have fun in Disneyland!

RobIn.....Congratulations on the World Series!

Steph.....Prayers for your friend.

Can anyone report on Lynette's health and safety?

EVERYBODY HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK!

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?"
--Matthew 6:25

Rumor has it that lynt is improving her vocabulary with Pathwords! over on facebook. And she has kicked my booty 7 times over the last few days.

I love when BIL causes a crazy mess like that and the next morning calls my sister and asks, "Are you bringing Nephew2 over?" Like everything is AOK.

I really think he's Bi-Polar. Which would not be bad cause then he could get help, get on meds, and be normal.

UGH!!!! :sad1: OMGOSH!!! I'm really sad about that!
I AM taking my kids via Suburban to California for Christmas with MY family (the FUN ones). Booked the new Hampton Inn through Getaway.

Wendy - We have deer season like that here in Michigan too, but it's bow season now, I think. Firearm season is still a month away. My hubby stopped going up north during hunting season a couple years ago (dang it). Do you have buck poles in Utah too?!
Buck Poles? LOL (sorry) Yes, They only do so many licenses per weapon per animal. "X" amount of elk, moose, bucks, does, etc. (I think I got that right :confused3 )

Please say a prayer for my friend Terry. 9 years ago, her daughter had a heart transplant. We lost her this week, she was 14 years old. My heart hurts...
Oh my gosh! Prayers said.

I love rhubarb. Especially when paired with strawberries.

Good Luck Monica (on your test).

Quick Drive by -

adding prayers... and HUGS!

1. MAN IS IT CROWDED SO FAR!! You cannot even imagine - it seems twice as crowded as last year when we gathered at Pop for Free Dining - I never complained about crowds - this is worse!!! REALLY WORSE!

2. DD is not feeling 100% - there is a doctor's app't in her future, basically she just feels dizzy'ish - I think its hormonal - but luckily this isnt our first trip to Disney and altho I planned "commando touring" we are doing it nice and slow!! We are on VACATION!!

There have been a few challenges getting us here - and I think DH is much more stressed than I'd imagined - yesterday our AK day we rode Safari - Dinosaur - Tough to be a Bug - - then sat and listened to Boi talk about her homeland of Botswana Africa - (DD has a project for school, on Africa, so this was perfect imho - not so much in hers!! She wants to do Morrocco - we went to EPCOT on Sunday, lost DH for 2 hours - he took my cell to talk to our DS, and he had his cell - the man walked alll around looking for us, as if I'd leave him to go to Norway!! He left us!! Thank God for the kindess of strangers, dd wanted a Kaki Gori ice, and we were talking, the lady in front of us lent us her cell, to call my cell - so he hoofed it back to Japan - mind you we were still 4 people away from the front counter - CRAZY busy in Epcpt - but truly

 Maelstrom is a FASTPASS  and we used it!!

After touring AK - we bussed to Boardwalk - Beach Club for a gelato, then boat to MGM then bus to AKL for dinner at Boma - y'all were right, it was delish!! AND the servers gave DD a birthday card signed either Hello or Happy Birthday in their native language - so dd cant read it - but it will be a bonus for her Africa project!!

Then a bus to STUDIOS!!! And yes, we FP the Toy Story!! It is fun!! 1st time I sat with a kind man who taught me how to shoot for points not accuracy which was funny because I got 129,000 - dh had like 20,000 but he had 55% accuracy - so we did it again, and scores improved!! LOL

His company had a computer crash - main frame network- very serious, so he's been on the phone, trying to help them solve it - so far so good - hopefully we'll be able to tour Epcot with fewer people...

Marita The weather is FABULOUS!! I can see why you live here, no humidity (and most people are in sweats, jeans - morning it was 59ish, 62 but it gets up to 79 by 3pm - the sun is gorgeous! We're still on track for The Grand Tea!!

I know, long post!!

Allie thank you so much for being there for me - we couldnt have toured or rode anything without your help!!
