mony - how old is he? He's very cute. You make me feel like a dirty old lady!

.

I don't know, but he looks about the right age.

His front side is a lot cuter, but I don't want to post it due to he may never run by my house again.

his arm muscles are rip-a-ly, his abs are too.

Nab: To answer your question, that was Wednesday and I was leaving at 1pm to get to class, so about early afternoonish every other day.

Oh my word. What is going on with the thread?

Where is Luther? She hasn't given us a good morning post in 2 days. :confused3

Where's Wendy and Twinkie?

It's crashing! It's crashing! ahhhh!

hi all!

no, moo, nothing beats being in the cowfield.
:lovestruc

after soccer and gymnastics last night (and baskin robbins - pumpkin pie ice cream rocks!) we got back to the cowfield and saw a visitor!

skunk.jpg

(Just a representation - not our actual visitor. Ours didn't have a stripe, just a white patch on his head)

He was under the front porch eating something.
Breadman says "oh. Those are the doritos I threw out."

I'd seen him earlier in the week as Riley chased him. :scared:

Since he wouldn't leave, we drove around to the back and ran in the house.

windy lou hoo - but did pooh girl's mom cry when you told her she couldn't come?

I can't wait to see Twinkie's sling!
Yes! She FINALLY paid and now can't find anyone AT ALL to watch her kids! :rolleyes1 I told her if she doubled her money AND pre-paid, I'd think about it! (seriously, she was getting one child free!)

I have pumpkin bread in the oven as we speak. I cheated though and it is from a mix that we bought at Sam's club yesterday.

Maybe it was a sharing issue with the balls or maybe they were whipping them at people's heads who knows. I will have to ask a teacher when I go get them after school.
Yummm! Even pumpkin bread from a box smells and tastes SO yummy!

Our boys have these new "Bakigon" (sp) balls that transform into stupid little robot looking things and those are totally banned at scholl.

Oh my word. What is going on with the thread?

Where's Wendy and Twinkie?

I'm here!!!! I miss my Twinkie girl too!

Today is weigh-day so I have Peep duties. But I'm "here"!

Everyone-- Your turn in WordsCRAPer!

mony - I like your new pic!
Hayden wants me to change my signature, but I like it.
plus I have no ticker. :( :( :(

My kids are on the pre-fall break break.

To celebrate I decided at 10 pm last night to strip the wall paper in the downstairs bath. The seams were popping. My kitchen and the kids bath is also paper'd. From research (aka asking the neighbors) I know that the builders put the paper up w/o priming the walls. So I was going to paint over it (I still may in the other rooms) but the bathroom had huge visible 3d seams.

So the wall paper delaminated so the picture came off leaving what looked like construction paper (still with huge seams) on my walls. DH said to leave it.

I got up this am and read the internet that said it should come off with hot water and time and patience.

It did.

To reveal more wall paper below :faint:

I think this layer is the builder paper that will take the drywall with it if I strip it... so I am trying to remove one piece. It isn't going well at all. Bah.

However the seams on this are nice and flat so maybe I will just paint over it.

Colour suggestions anyone????

Lil' twinkie girls voted for PINK. I was thinking rusty red. DH will want TAN>

twinks - I've heard that reds are really hard to get consistent.
but I've never done it myself. :confused3

I vote for purple and pink!
woo!
the boys will love it! :rotfl2:

I always removed wall paper with a water and vinegar solution<----biology term.:cool2:

I would score the wall paper first, then get one of those big cushy sponges and a bucket. I'd drench the walls with the solution and then it mostly just peeled off.

Then I'd wash the walls with the rest of the solution to get the extra glue off.

Color suggestion: caramel

I did not see runner boy.

Yet.

Thanks Cel. I thought it was time for a change.

Twinkie - I am a huge fan of red myself. My living room and bathroom are red. You HAVE to prime the wall first with GREY/GRAY :confused3 . HAVE TO. Then you will have to paint a minimum of three, THREE coats. You're red will be perfect! Make sure when you pick you don't pick something with pink undertones or your finished color will appear too pink. The first color I chose for my walls was a rusty red that was too pinkish. Thankfully my Interior Decorator(crafty friend) told me it would be pink and I'd hate it. She had me pick a deeper color and it's perfect. Fireweed at Sherwin Willliams.

IF said builder paper won't come off easily, try texturing on top of it prior to painting! I've used joint compound and a flat spatula-like trowel to make stucco-like texture. Must cure for 24 hrs though.

I vote for a yellow. My formerly red wall in the front room that DH painted like an ugly pineapple is now a lovely "nacho chip" tannish yellow. TONS of compliments on the color (but maybe because the pineapple faux paint was TOO ugly?). My master bathroom is Ralph Lauren Red on the main wall. It feels "rich"..

AND... Hi Twinkie!!!!!!!!!

I just ate 2 hard boiled eggs (minus the yolks) and a handful of vitamins washed down with some green tea and am now off to the GYM! This morning I just ate oatmeal with flax meal and for lunch, veggie chili! :yay: << YES, it was ME who said that! That way I can be home in time to play with my kiddos instead of my usual sitting in front of the computer.

Trying to spend time with them whenever they're home rather than my endless hours playing wordscraper of DISing. Trying!

SO, everyone have a great weekend! I'll see you'd on Monday (if I don't crack and log on before!)

Hello.

No school today so I had a few rug rats.......Pooped ...

I used to have a skunk when I was in the sixth grade....his name was peppe le peu......he was very friendly and would go walking on a leash. He was fixed but still had a slight stinky smell .....If he got mad he would stamp his feet at us and raise his tail.......even though it was scent less.....I had my photo in the newspaper with him.....but now .because of fear of rabies .......no one can have a pet skunk without a wild life license.......

I hope that I am not getting dear hubbies cold......he got it from my brother last Saturday from the dinner I gave for everyone......so I didnt get my brothers germs but sure as shooting .....I got hubbies..

Hubby will make us breakfast tomorrow.......eggies and bacon and toast and coffee.......I like it when he does that.......cause I dont have to do much..

Wendell, yep...Boris got his first ones for his b-day. I was actually hoping to avoid this particular anime fad, but his friends sucked him in by gifting some to him. Correct spelling of this annoying brand is "Bakugan". :sad2: You're welcome.

Twinkie, score the wall first, then fill a spray bottle with equal parts water and liquid fabric softener and spritz it onto the scored wall. Let it soak for 30 minutes, and then scrape away. This worked really well, even for the layers upon layers of wallpaper in my nearly-80-y.o. house. It has the added benefit of making the room smell good. :goodvibes This tip brought to you by Uncle Ed, who owns a wallpaper/paint/home repair business. ;)

TONS of compliments on the color (but maybe because the pineapple faux paint was TOO ugly?). My master bathroom is Ralph Lauren Red on the main wall. It feels "rich"..

Oooooo...I vote for a yellow too! My kitchen and breakfast nook are a lovely, warm butterscotch color that gets TONS of compliments. It's called Benjamin Moore "Dark Beige"....but it's exactly the color of butterscotch fudge. Yum!

 Cel! I would have a fit if I saw a skunk that close to my house!!!!!!!! :faint: P.U. Gag.

Pumba, I'm :rotfl: over you walking a pet skunk as a girl!!! At least it wouldn't be quite so bad having the skunkerizer removed

Wendy and Twink - It's so nice to have you back! :)

I've never painted any rooms red, but MommyP's color sounds nice. I still have early 90s paper in my living room/dining room and dread the day when I ever have to strip that. Fortunately, I picked one subtle enough that I haven't gotten sick of it. Forest green with little teeny cream/tan/clay colored flowers.

My daughter has painted rooms in her apartments that green color like MommyP's bedroom(?) and I really like that but don't have any rooms where it would work. It looks great with black frames/furniture/accessories like her Ikea bed frame and dresser.

Lex, bbn, Nabbie, DTD . . . hope you're all just super busy lately!

Lil' G - Someday I'll go on a Disney cruise. Wish my family were interested in going. I'm hoping to get my little sis to go with me in a few years. Want to adopt some of your thread friends and take us with you??!

Sandy - Glad they found your fridge! You'll be at WDW before you know it. And it will be nice not stressing over having to do a marathon this time

BH - You're going to the Halloween Party at DL, aren't you? What are you wearing? How about the other Big Guys??!

Mony - We really need to set up a lunch meet or something before our trips. Have you got any weekend days free? My daughter is heading back to NC on the 20th, so any time after that would work for me if you're interested :upsidedow
