So cute.

The beach was fun. Beautiful clear blue sky. It's not as hot as it was int he summer and the water has cooled slightly(it's down to an almost freezing 82 degrees. lol) Isaac had to be held all day though. He will not tolerate the sand touching him and he won't even sit on a blanket that is sitting on the sand. It's just too close for him. :lmao: He was good though. Happy to just sit quietly on my lap.

I guess Twinkie's sling didn't come today. Hopefully Monday then. Let me know AS SOON AS IT ARRIVES! :cutie:
When Jordan was a baby, we lived right at the beach in San Clemente California, and he couldn't stand the sand touching him either! Nor dirt, mud, or any manner of filth.

and...

IT'S SNOWING IN UTAH!!!!!
Not only is there actual flakes, but it's also "sticking" and there's a patchy white layer all over! It's now glistening very beautifully in the sunshine! :)

My wimpie dogs slept in the laundry room last night (cant be trusted to run amuk throughout the house. I think they appreciated that!

hi guys i had a ruff day:sad2:

1.soccer
2.shopping
3.corn maze (very hard)
Hi Hayden!!!!
I love Corn Mazes!
Especially slightly spooky ones! We take flash lights and go for hot cocoa after.
Shopping??? YAY!

Cel: Sorry for your rough day. I hope tomorrow is better.

Zach's football team FINALLY won a game! They did so well. I was so proud. And it was on our home turf. So they are 1 and 5. He played just about the entire game and the coach said, Zach I wish half of the kids were as focused as you.

He's been begging me all week to cut his hair and put his number on the back of his head. So last night, for the love of football and everything that goes along with superstitions and FOOTBALL, I did.

I shaved into the hair of my own son his jersey number 77. I'll have to take a picture.

So, you know what that means don't cha?

Especially now that they won????

Thankfully there is only 2 games left this season.

I just hope next season he has a NICE number, cause I'm already thinking ahead.

I got my new lenses today and can see so much better already. The lady who did them said my prescription doubled in my one bad astigmatism eye. I haven't noticed that thing messing with my vision like with the old lenses and my headache went away.

So hopefully this is nothing or that big of a deal.

I updated my trip report.

Have a good night.
Yay Zach!!!!
I used to do team hair shavings on kids all the time when I did hair. Take a picture for us!!!

Lenses as in glasses? or contacts?
I just got some new RX sunglasses which it feels like HEAVEN to be able to see so clearly on a sunny day.

Off to read your TR asap!

Thanks for all the useful wallpaper advice. I tried the vinegar and it did help take off the layer that was already coming off. All the websites (natural handyman, bob villa, etc) agree that in my situation it may be better to paint over the paper even though they don't generally reccomend such a lazy/shoddy solution.

To recap- my house is 25ish years old. Toadily 80s builder put up wallpaper on the wallboard type drywall without priming or sizing or painting. The wallpaper is taking the drywall down with it. Ack.

I have spent the afternoon re-mudding the one wall that I was so foolish as to try to get the original wallpaper off. Ugh.

It is kind of fun to learn something new but did I mention that the DH is a perfectionist? I am on my 3rd layer of mud and he assures me that one more ought to do it.

The wall looks much better but I think a faux painting technique is going to be needed. Or a pretty big poster.

Other news:

Loved the Lil Isaac walking video. Wish I was tecno-smart and could post one of Grasshopper. He is so stinkin' cute toddling along.

We went to a local cider mill for our Fall Family Fun. I took pictures but the light changed and they didn't turn out as great as I had hoped. Plus the photo evidence revealed that I really really need to quit thinking about dieting and actually lose a size by Thanksgiving (tm Utahmama).

Monica- too funny about the haircut.
You CAN lose a size by Thanksgiving!!! If I can do it, ANY-one can do it, diet-doofuses included! Just eat oatmeal for breakfast every day! You MAY want to omit the sugar and butter though. I also add milled flax seed and wheat germ...:rolleyes1 for medicinal purposes pooh: and a handfull of Craisins, chopped nuts, or raisins. I PROMISE this one thing will help a lot!

I LOVE that you are mudding your walls. Home decor and improvement and organization is right up my alley.

GOOD MORNING!

What a beautiful weekend here! Hope everyone else is having the same weather but sounds like it's snowing already in Utah.

Wendee....Keep the quilt princess-y! (Jack Skellington  ) Tell Jordan hello! We have Bakugan too but DS has been taking them to school. They aren't outlawed yet. And....snowing? Already? Quick....make some chili!
By keeping it princessy, no teal? My second choice was red or even purple, based on the majority of colors in the quilt top.

Bakugon balls are flimsey and cheap for the price! I HATE when they spend their money on crap!
I did make some chili!!! And its insanely yummy!

4 more sleeps - I"m very distracted!!

DH went to work came home at 4am!! I have no idea what time dd went to bed!! She was working on "waving" her hair (small braids wet hair!)

Twilight Question DD wants to be "Bella" for Halloween - any suggestions? (she will have the bracelet!) (this summer it was a pirate, I bought the costume!!)
Bella, huh? Pre or Post Breaking Dawn. Bella just wears teen girl clothes. :confused3
Hayden definitely needs her own working ID.
I would not have defined our day as "ruff."
I thought it was fun!
Without Bill, we would have been lost in the corn maze. He is definitely good at reading a map.
And we got some cool clothes for the girls we were buying stuff for.
I decided not to go to church today. The hour drive there and back is kind of tiring.
and expensive.

melinda - I can't take Hayden to disney world right now. Her mom is planning on taking them this summer.
:(
Good for them, sad for me!

so I'm trying to convince Bill to take us on a Carnival cruise instead. :)
Hayden's working on him too.
A CRUISE!? Use your skillz!
Good Morning!

I have an interview today.

I have to interview someone who immigrated to our country. Then write up a 6 page paper about it.

Good thing my neighbor is from Poland. Saved me a lot of crapski.

Wendy: I really need to get back to focusing on my health! Help! I wish I could pm you.

You can call anytime. I can instant message my cell # over on face book! In fact, you can message me over there ANY time.

The only help I can offer is to get yourself to the gym (in your SPARE time, lol!) and eat clean. The magazine OXYGEN and the book by Tosca Reno called the Clean Eating Diet really have helped me radically.

Any one else watching Sleeping Beauty for the umpteenth time?
GAH!

aaack FROZE up dh's computer in Word, trying to cut and paste some TGM least crowded days - it says "word is repaginating Doc 1 page 2,849 (and counting mind you) IT wont recognize the stop command - the delete command, the alt ctrl delete command!! :scared1: DH is so not going to be happy!!

Mony Thanks - prom dress!! in blue!! Goog idea (and she read all but book #4)

Wendy I'm going to sign up in 10 days!! I plan on joining the gym and doing 2 hours of workouts a day - ala BIGGEST LOSER!! I have the darn plans, I just am too afraid of failure!

PUMBA we need to give someone points for using the 4 letter word on this thread!! :rolleyes1 (*cough Utahmama *cough)

:surfweb: Force Quit worked!! :yay:

I actually bought it for dd bday - shipped it to POP!! Hope dh plans on bringing his laptop!! I do remember when dd was younger, it was BELLE, Beauty and The Beast over and over and over and over and over... again and again and again - Mom found out they made 2 other B&B (Christmas) but dd only watched them once or twice and back to BELLE,

and now she wants to be Bella for Halloween :wizard:

kids grow up way too fast! :sad1:

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of shag carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' and get their answer when a little voice says, 'Because I love you
best.'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mama to Mom to Mother...

Dang! I just lost the post I typed up and am too lazy to re-type it all

So I'll just say welcome back Lex, you were missed, and nice sentiment about moms, Twink!

Howdy to everyone else :goodvibes

DD and I finally made our flight reservations yesterday. Things didn't work out for me to fly out of our local airport, but maybe that's for the best since they tend to cancel connecting flights.

Oh. And hope you can do a cruise with the Breadman and his kids, Cel!!! :boat:

If my children ever call me, "Mother" I know I have totally failed them. :scared: I can't stand the term, "mother".

A babynurse bump. NOT to be confused with a baby bump. I'll have none of those, tyverymuch.

Wassup?

I strive to be a real mother. however, like mommyp, i do not wish to be called mother. ever. mom, momma, or mommy works a-ok for me.

did y'all see the colts win yesterday? :cheer2: i know how much you ladies LOVE football. i bet you were glued to your seats, weren't ya?

we are no further in our quest to design, make, buy at the last minute for an exorbitant amount of money at the Wal-Marts or Tarjay:rolleyes1 Halloween costumes. just sayin

Yesterday, I made a list of nurses and persuaded them to sign in blood get it? blood? that they are committed to going to see the "Twilight" movie when it comes out in NOVEMBER. I stand "resurrected" on the dates. We are going to have a girls night out. Eating. Drinking. Vampire and Werewolf lusting. heh. I will not be lusting though. cuz I still think Edward is a baby!

I'm outta here. Have a good one.

Go to Hyde Park Kroger. Then you'll really be in Peej territory. Then go to the Busken right by that Kroger!!!!!!!! THEN BRING ME SOME BUSKEN DONUTS ON YOUR WAY HOME!!!!!!!!!

anyone...when does Marita come home? Hope you're having a great German extravaganza, Marita!

I am having a pick myself up by the bootstraps kinda night. I'm feeling reflective and pensive. Indulge me momentarily, k? Thanks. ;) We had major family issues yesterday. I have come to the conclusion that some people just aren't ever going to change or stop hurting themselves and ruining lives. I think you have to learn to live around these people, rather than with them. Took me all night last night to come up with that one. There comes a point where you just have to say enough is enough. In conclusion, please say a prayer for my dad. I have no prayers left for him, but he could certainly use some.

I'll end with a song. Cuz that's how I roll. And really, who doesn't like a little Martina McBride from time to time?

You can spend your whole life buildin
Something from nothin
One storm can come and blow it all away
Build it anyway

You can chase a dream
That seems so out of reach
And you know it might not ever come your way
Dream it anyway

God is great but sometimes life aint good
And when I pray
It doesn't always turn out like i think it should
But I do it anyway
I do it anyway

This worlds gone crazy
And it's hard to believe
That tomorrow will be better than today
Believe it anyway

You can love someone with all you heart
For all the right reasons
And in a moment they can choose to walk away
Love 'em anyway

God is great but sometimes life aint good
And when I pray
It doesn't always turn out like i think it should
But I do it anyway
Yeah I do it anyway

You can pour your soul out singin
A song you believe in
That tomorrow they'll forget you ever sang
Sing it anyway
Yeah sing it anyway

I sing
I dream
I love anyway

I am so Thankful for all my friends here.... :goodvibes

I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The weather was like summer, the kids behaved at grandma's. My mom made so much food, I am not going near a scale that is for sure. So much pumpkin pie and cheese cake. Even for breakfast.....:lmao:

P.J.-- I think every family has some dysfunction in it. I know my does. I always say my family is like living in a soap opera, lot of drama at times.

Celery-- I am like Mommy p with the pictures. Sounds like you had a full weekend too.

Twinkie -- Your bathroom is going to look great when you get done. Wallpaper is evil.

We have voting day tomorrow here in Canada! We only have 39 days to make up our minds who we want to vote for to be Prime Minister. I didn't even need that long to make up my mind though.....

Happy Thanksgiving Nab

Glad you had a nice time - and I 2nd the family drama stuff... :sad2:

One day I'm going to have to read or understand the vampire stuff.. its swwosshes over my head!! (I'm stuck in Regency England! bookwise)

Marita  continued goog thoughts!!

I always said my family would be eligible for Jerry Springer. BUT, if we don't go on Jerry, I think we should be a reality tv show. Trust me, we've got it all. I bet every one of you would be on the edge of your seats! :rotfl:
Glad to hear you had a nice Thanksgiving. Now pass the cheesecake. I have a cheesecake weakness. That and ice cream of any sort. And cake. I also like pie. And I don't think I've ever had a donut I didn't like. Am I starting to sound like the babynurse? :scared1:

I need to read me a vampire book, too. I feel so left out!

Bed time. Sweet dreems, all!
:grouphug:

I'm here, inbetween my poor fried brain cells.

I just can't understand photosynthesis the way the book wants me too.

PSII and PSI and the Calvin cycle and noncyclic and cyclic eletron pathways

and don't even get me started on cellular respiration.

Did I mention I have to disect a RAT in a few weeks?

Can I pull a Bella Swan and pass out and have an Edward type swoop in and save me?

Oh, went to the special over priced eye doctor today and he said what I have in a nut shell is not big deal. Just takes a while to heal. Who knows the cause it just happens, its like a tear in the skin and it happens to be right in the spot my seeing part of my eye has to look through to see.

So for the next month, cause it's a slow process, I have to put gooooooo in my eye before bed and then some drops when I wake up to help the healing process.

K, I'm done with studying. Must get some sleep.
