I baked.

I know I'm shocked. I had a freezer full of half rotted bananas so I made 3 banana breads. One is a peanut butter banana bread and 2 other are a little creation I did. I added mashed avocado, a box of vanilla pudding and some oats. It's very yummy!

I have to send some to work with Chad for the guys he works with. They think I am mean. :confused3 Most people do. I'm not sure when people started confusing shyness with meanness? They are actually scared of me. :rotfl:

Avocado and banana are a really good mix. I found that out mixing up some things for Isaac to eat.

MP, who wouldn't think half wrotten bananas are yummy :rolleyes1

I'm sure it was fine, just dont tell me about it........

Actually,I should steer DD in that direction. She loves to bake and I keep throwing out half-rotten bananas.

You never use fresh bananas for banana bread, they don't have enough, "flavoUr". Once they are too ripe to eat we put them in the freezer for bread.

I can't s squeese another thing in my freezer!

An my boss had the noive to call me at 6pm to ask me to finish worktonight, inluding ivestigative work.

I'm tired!

I remember putting three or four baggies of bananas in the freezer too.....I think I should find them .......
Okey I need suggestions....having 8 people for supper on Saturday.....My oldest sister from NY is coming for a visit with her hubby and we have not been together since Mama died ....so I am anxious to have a gathering......
What will be easy to make for 8 people and have it ready so I can enjoy the company too.......Getting the mini pastries from the bakery for dessert after which the other twenty will arrive.....The nieces and nephews will come ...and invade us...

Pumba,go to a restaurant! No muss, no fuss,no cleanup!

Maybe a couple of hoer's deuvres before hand, max. maybe desserts after.Thi' is why hate hosting my xmas party. all I do is stress about the food and the timing and the cleaning and all that stuff.

Hi. I've had a rough few days. This time of the year tends to be hard for me. Is it December yet? I love fall weather, but I almost just want to move on to December at this point. Sorry, where's my sunshine? I must need a trip to Sunnybrook. Here's what I've got:

1. I HAVE A FUNCTIONING COMPUTER AND INTERNET ACCESS IN MY OWN APARTMENT!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: This is the first time I've had a computer since I left Orlando in mid-July. Not really sure how I survived that one. ;)

2. Today was a terrible, horrible, very bad, no good day. I'll save the details, but I could really use a hug! I got a $142 speeding ticket on my way to work, and that wasn't even the worst part of the day. Nuff said.

3. If you're feeling inclined to pray, please say a prayer for Hollywood. She could use it.

4. Some sunshine so I don't get voted off the thread:

Good evening, y'all!

My Grandma turned 90 years old today! I talked to her this afternoon, and she was having a great day...getting visits and phone calls all day from family and friends. We're having her party on October 11. I'm so thankful to still have her in my life, and in my children's lives.

1. Peej! Welcome back to the world of the interweb. I'm sure your "friends" at the clubhouse will be glad you're done hogging the computers in there. Missed you!
2. Sorry about the hideous day. $142???? Yikes!
3. Prayers for Hollywood.....consider it done! Hope she's okay.

Is anyone else watching Private Practice? :faint: What a story!

Glad to have you back P.J. and woohoo on the computer.

We would never kick you off the thread....:grouphug:

Hope tomorrow is better for you. And sending up a prayer for Hollywood in hopes she do has a better tomorrow.

:snail: I guess you don't drive like this !! :car: Sorry about the ticket.

PJ - :grouphug: Consider that a great big Bear Hug from me to you. ;) Sorry about the ticket! Sending prayers for Hollywood. Congrats on being back "online" with us. You were missed.

Pumba - Lasagna is always a good staple for large gatherings. And if you don't feel like makin' it from scratch. Stouffer's makes a pretty good frozen one, that you just heat and eat.

MommyP - Mmmmm that sounds yummy. Now I'm hungry. Goog thing you are training the boys in bowl patrol. ;)

Twinks - I hope you find the glasses soon. I always hate it when I lose mine because I can't see without them, so it makes finding them rather difficult. Luckily, they very rarely leave my face. :scared: on the baby playing in the unflushed boys toilet.

Lynnette - Happy Birthday Grandma!! :yay: :cake:

Thanks for the prayers for Baby J today. Well, they released him from ICU to go home. I don't know what is going on. :confused3 I think the Dr.'s here just don't know what to do with a baby with heart difficulties. They got his heart rate stable, so they sent him home. I just hope their Dr. in B'ham can get to the bottom of this. I know that I am frustrated with this, so I know his parents and grandparents are too.

Oh, and DD got home safe and sound today. I can tell there was a lack of sleep due to her attitude. Luckily she only has two days of school and then FALL BREAK!!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cool1:

A 7 yr old was in line at school with her dad and took off the water bottle cap with her mouth and she happened to take a breathe at this time and she inhaled the cap in her Throat. They lifelighted her to Vanderbilt and when she got there she was brain dead and she died this morning. This is so sad but it shows us how we need to cherish every minute we live.

Prayers for Hollywood. Greetings to every one else.

Celmama - Oh how scary! That is so sad for the family. :sad1:

Funny stuff, WT! :rotfl: The tramp stamp was ha-larious

I spent three hours at a seminar yesterday learning about the EPA Consent Decree which will take effect in our town 2 yrs from now. ((yawn))

Moo....Are you getting the MOOV GPS ad at the bottom of the page? :lmao: PS....I love the smell of Febreeze!
Lex - Do you have a Superfund site in your town or somethin'?

I HAVE seen those MOOV GPS ads at the bottom of the page :lmao: Febreeze makes ME sneeze!

i. Sorry things have been rough! :grouphug:

1. WOO HOOOOOOOOO on being connected again!!!!!!!!!!

2. Speeding tickets bite  [See hug above.] I drive like a granny near my work because of the speed traps. Maybe now that it's cold there won't be as many since most of them were of the motorcycle cop variety.

3. Prayers sent for Hollywood. And pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: if that will help any.

4. Vote you off??! Helk NO!

Birthday wishes for your Grandma! What a blessing to you and your family. I miss my Grandma lots. She was so tickled to make it 100.

I didn't see Private Practice. Guess I'll have to watch it on-line tomorrow.

MommyP! I love avocado but would never have thought to put it in banana bread. Coincidentally, I just bought a loaf of banana bread at our local bread store today. Yum!

Pumba - I agree with Marita . . . go to a restaurant! Or if you must cook at home, maybe make up some lasagne ahead of time?

Marta - Boo on working late :headache: Especially when you have so much planning/packing to do! But at least you got out of the traffic jam.

Allie - Prayers sent for little Jackson  How scary for his parents.

Sandy! We need an update about your DD. Hope all is well.

Twink - Any sign of the glasses yet? Hope you have insurance

bbn - Sounds real busy there at the farm. Wish I had a tenth of your energy!!!

Nabby - How are gas prices up yonder? They've FINALLY dropped a bit down here, TG. Of course, they'll probably jump back up before I need a fill up.

Scooby Dooby Doo . . . Where is Wendy Loo?????????

OH MY!!!!!!!

I'm done studying, I got to sleep.

Chapter 6 is on Energy and it seems easier to understand.

GOOOOD MORNING!

Finally on the downhill side to the weekend! Yay! Nuttin planned tonight. Double Yay!

PJ..... I got a speeding ticket the week before Christmas with a comparable fine. I feel your pain. Sorry bout the rotten day. Today will be better. Prayers for Hollywood. You're a good sister. (I didn't know you were going to Orlando for Halloween? Is that ticker new?)

Moo.....Superfund site? Wha? Consent Decree has to do with bad water and separating the storm sewers and sanitary sewers and how they are going to fund the whole darn mess.

Pumba....I'm with Celmama....Spaghetti casserole or lasagna would be perfect.

MommyP....I sometimes freeze my rotten bananas but I always end up throwing them out. Do they make goog banana bread? Do you drain the nasty liquid off before you put them in the banana bread?

Lynette.....My grandmother will be 90 next week too! Her birthday is on October 8th! I KNOW! I too feel blessed to still have her around and for my children to be able to know her as well. My niece just gave her a great-great-grandchild!

Celery.....I need a hoodie at work too. Will you pick one out for me?

Everybody else
.....:wave2:

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

Melinda - here you go! it's a cyber hoodie.

I think everyone needs some hugs!

I found the glasses! They were in her jammie drawer. Duh to me ;)

MeaniePoppins: I am shy too. Before I had kids people thought I was stuck up. However one of my daughters is a textbook, off the charts extrovert so I just smile and follow in her wake.

I also freeze bananas for future banana bread. I have never put avocado in one but I did know that the combo was delish. When cleft palate princess was tiny and needing to gain weight the nutrionists suggested blending avocado and banana into everything to increase the caloric content. Needless to say, I now avoid both. Mostly. Ha.

PrincessJ: Welcome back to the real world. Sorry about the ticket. Here is a little sumpthin that always cheers me up
Let us be of good cheer, remembering that the misfortunes hardest to bear are those that never happen.
Don't waste your life in doubts and fears: spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best preparation for the hours or ages that follow it.
Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine.

Monica- Goog luck!:teacher:

Luther - I don't use the liquid. I just put the frozen bananas in a bowl to thaw and then squeezed the banana out of the peel into my measuring cup. The liquid stays in the thawing bowl.

I'm waiting to hear back from the mama who makes wipes, tiny wipes/family cloth and table towels. I want to place an order for wipes(8x8), family cloth(4x6 ony we're going to use it for tissues instead of TP) and some table towels. She has the cutest red/black mickey flannel I'm going to back with black terry for the table towels. Some cute cowboy flannels backed with velour for the boys tissues and black/white flowers backed with red velour for my bathroom. I let the boys all pick which prints they wanted in wipes for napkins. We'll soon be paper free except TP. :yay:

Peej - Sorry about a cruddy day.

Twinkie - Did you solve The Mystery of the Missing Glasses?

Hi PJ...glad you got reconnected to the world of the web....boo for the for the ticket.....dont this cop realize you have a new computer you have to hurry home too :goodvibes:
