I got a 91 on my statistics exam! woo hoo!

Ok, DS went to work to check on his schedule after school today. The girl said she was throwing out "her" schedule and going back to the schedule the other guy made up. Although, DS has still NOT asked when payday is.


Ok, not to worry anybody, but I went to my FP Dr. today. I had been having bad heartburn over the weekend, but then the pain was uncomfortable in my chest, back, and (finally yesterday) down my left arm. I was getting concerned, and wanted to have it checked out. Plus, I have these bumps that have shown up on my chest. Well, doc thinks the "rash" might be from my vein injections. I'll check with that doc on Thurs. She did give me a cream for it though.

Well, when the nurse took my blood pressure it was 177/120! Now it was taken with one of those wristwatch BP monitors (and she was talking to me the whole time and I didn't think you were supposed to talk while it was taking the pressure), and I don't think they're all that accurate. I knew something was wrong when the nurse did this..... . Then she took it with the regular looking BP cuff. It was still 155/104. Well, you just took my BP out of that arm, and your not supposed to turn around and take it again. Even the non-nurse that I am knows that. Well, she told me to sit back and relax. Now how in the world was I gonna relax knowing that my BP was SKY HIGH? Well, I tried to relax as much as possible, but it felt like my heart was beating out of my chest.

When the doc came in she took it again, and it was 160/92, Better, but not great. Well, now I have to monitor my BP 3 times a day for two weeks, and fax the results to her. Now, if it remains high, I have to call her back. Oh, and I am supposed to take Zantac everyday for two weeks.

I took my BP when I got home and it was 133/82. I feel better, but now I am nervous. My doc was nervous when she came in. She said, "I'm glad your BP is out of the 'Stroke' zone." Now I do have a family history of strokes. (my mom's mother) I think I am kind of young to be at risk for a stroke, doncha think? I'm gonna monitor it.




Congrats on the 91 CEL!!!!!! I loved my college statistics class. It's about the only class I did well in. Oh, and I never finished college.

Allie- The contract with our realtor is just about to expire so we'll probably need to relist it in the Spring. Had a LOT riding on the sale of this house, so we'll just stick it out for now, I guess.

needs....are well defined..by? growth & developmental stages.
they have been ignoring the "developmental needs" since removing
the "dick & jane" readers. since the 60's, society has been
ignoring.,....the "values toward lving life well"...provided by

program..left..& that is disney....& those trying to keep its

Allie! That sounds pretty scary. It's pretty common for people's BP to be elevated at the doctor's office

Yes, I think you're way too young to worry about stroke. I know a couple people in their 50s who have had really mild ones, but they're OK now. I wonder why your doc didn't have you try Prilosec instead of Zantac

Poor Cash has an infection from his surgery. When my daughter got up today his ankle was all inflamed, so the vet gave him a stronger antibiotic. We should have known something was going on yesterday when he stopped putting weight on it

I did like the one on ebay - the seller was from near here, I had dh take care of it - the one crystal heart didnt have the blood red drop, it had a peace dove and they wanted $20 for it Since dh is working with dd, I cant find out if he ordered it -

Alli and my dad had to take his bp and take zantac its just "one of those things" just do it... but I think they are sure its part of the vein work you had to get... your body must be rebelling and stressing!!

Cel - I have read in lots of places that rooms are pretty well booked up for December now. From what I understand, some rooms might become available around 45 days out due to cancellations, but that might be too late to book free dining. Plus, I know that you have to pay rack rate when you get free dining

Don't you have any points left for your timeshare?

My dates overlap a little with both Twink and Mony.

I don't think the Dr. would care about Prilosec vs. Zantac. It's just Zantac is what she said. What would be the advantage to the Prilosec. I just think she wants me to get the indigestion thing under control to see if there is an underlying "heart" issue, or is it all from my indigestion.

Allie - Cash sends thanks to Shadow and Trixie!!! He seems to have perked up a little bit tonight and is working on a rawhide where we can see him so he has his cone off. Hopefully, the stronger antibiotics are working.

I did a little research on Prilosec vs. Zantac and it looks like they usually start with Zantac for milder cases of heartburn and if that doesn't work they ratchet it up. I noticed that one of the side effects of Prilosec can be joint pain so even though it works great I'm thinking about trying something milder. More joint pain. That's all I need. NOT!

Quick post tonight. I'm not feeling in a posting mood today

1) Thanks for the book suggestions. I'll go look this weekend. Sandy, goog suggestion about the Ipod, but I don't have one, and not going to buy one just for that.

2) I forgot what I was going to say.... Oh, wait, was it that, yes, I am travelling solo?

We went to a team lunch outing today at the Wave, the new restaurant at the Cont. Mixed reviews. I hated my grilled chicken sandwhich, some weird seasoning/texture. Didn't take more than 3 bites.

Then we went to chat with out Finance partners there, and talked about the new DVC tower and other changes. Turns out the lounge on thetop of the DVC addition only has 77 seats, somebody messed up. Right new the thought is that only DVC members who have purchased Cont DVC shares are going to be able to get passes for it. But there is standing room for another 350 people, also restricted as of now.
Also, they don't have a front desk in the building, so you have to go to the main building to check in and then back to the tower. And that bridge looks scary to me (but I have height issues).

Tomorrow they have an event at PI for Finance CM's, a "gppd bye" to PI, with a scavenger hunt and a dessert party. 2:30 -4:30. I'll probably stop by for 30 mins or an hour at most.

Wendy, are you going to tell us what you are going to take those classes for???????

Today I forgot it was picture day , good thing I decided I was over my yearly limit on Overpriced Photos and didn't order any. Also I forgot to pick up my friend's kid at different school Good thing she called to make sure it went ok before the afterschool program was over. I got there in time. My trip was finally finalized of all mistakes and wrong doings.

Since friday i was just spent on the topic of our December trip.

Long story short:

The CM at Travel told me, if I added dining the last 5 days of our trip, and made all of these changes, I would still save 50.00 from my original price I was paying.

Sounds like a no brainer right?

Next day, I go on line to look at my bill. 900.00 more.

In the end, this guest services lady went over my trip to see if she could come up with something that wasn't so shocking to my already stretched wallet and she couldn't. She did put my vacation back to where it was and for my inconvienence she gave me a credit and my total package price did drop in price about 60.00 dollars.

But it should be more cause since Zack is now 10, he's charged as an adult, but she told me he age was adjusted, but not the cost, again for my inconvienence.

So, that's all I got.

Nothing new to report here. Kids are fine. Weather is perfect, warm fall weather.

This is the week we were supposed to be at WDW. Tour Guide Mike reminds me every time I log in. Still trying to work out the January trip with Mimi. We'll see.

Allie.....Scary blood pressure story! Hope it keeps declining! Tell your son to find out which day is pay day! There was a kid at my last job who never picked up paychecks. He'd have 4 or 5 piled up in the office. He just took home his tips and forgot about the paycheck.

Celery! Good job on the statistics! I hate math. (NO Twinkie) Good luck with the room finding. I'm hoping for free dining Jan 3-8. ((fingers crossed))
