Tim met with a thorasic (sp) surgeon yesterday. This guy was all ready to do surgery on him and was trying to set a date. We still have 2 more dr's to meet with.

Anyways, he thinks he can just do surgery and remove part of the rib since this thing is so small.

Lexy: I love the water. A cozy rental cottage sounds like a great time. We did a girls only trip to Cancun once, and when we got there we headed straight for the beach. Everyday we just hung out on the beach with the proper required beverages. Sigh, I wanna do that again.
Scary surgeon story, Mony - but I guess that's what they do :scared: Have they figured out for sure that it's something other than an old fracture?

Your Cancun trip sounds heavenly.

Happy First Birthday to Madelyn!!!

Like everything, I am sure hairdos go in and out of fashion. But my experience with gymnastics hairdos is that the big scrunchy actually works the best. Gymnasts spend so much time working out that their hair is ALWAYS in a pony tail.... causing it to break at the point the pony tail holder goes in. The scrunchy stays in pretty well and is the best thing for reducing breakage (a rubber band is the worst). Most leos come with a matching scrunchy but I have had to buy a couple.... do you know how hard those things are to find these days??? In the 80s I had a drawer full.
Twink, I may or may not have a hoard of scrunchies from the 80s :rolleyes1

So the hourly employees at my work get the option of going to a four day work week.
Doesn't apply to me.

Cel - Sorry you don't get the option :(

My hubby started working four 10-hour days a week last payperiod :headache: I don't have the stamina to work that long OR the ability to regularly wake up at 0'dark thirty.

Lex - Glad to hear YOU"RE back on your school year schedule though!!!

Lynette and Pumba - Sending prayers :grouphug:

MommyP - YIKES on that low-flying plane :scared1:

Well, annual passholder rates are out for the fall today (through early November). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better rate for my next trip! Hope they release the early December rates in a few weeks.

Hi Moo, its bee quit here to night....everyone must be busy with back to school stuff? our schools started last TUES. and we were very busy filly out papers and reading requirements and such the first two days

Yep, it IS quiet here tonight, BH.

There are many other pastures to graze in

Is anyone watching Mythbusters tonight? They're dressing up pig carcasses like pirate: pirate: pirate: to simulate humans in their myth testing. Urrrgh.

Im watching Misty and Keri kick it in the Olympics

I FINALLT finished Twilight book 3. I must say, I am disappointed the way it ended. I would have wanted more details at the end.

Oh well, On to Breaking Dawn!

Lynette and Pumba, more prayers!

LEXI, I know you are enjoying sweet dreams right now! :) YAY!

Mony, mmmmm, massage..........

Jeez, it's SO quiet here tonight, huh?!

Thanks for the prayers, Hound, Moo and Marita. Still no word on my godfather. I guess that we won't hear anything more until tomorrow sometime.

I am headed to bed shortly. Forgot to mention in my earlier post that Natasha woke me up at 3:10 this morning with a pretty bad bloody nose. It bled for about 15 minutes, stopped long enough to get her cleaned up and back to bed. I had just settled in to her bed with her (to ease her nerves)when it began to bleed again. That time didn't last more than 5 minutes, but I got her settled and into bed again, and it happened a third time! Finally, we both got back to sleep at about 5 AM. And then the phone woke me up at 6:30! Ack! I'm exhausted!

wow..that is a rough night for the both of you...Ive had my share of bloody noises from allergies sometimes when I sneezed real hard it would start up. But its not happened in a very long time.

Yikes, Lynette, sounds like a horrible night!
What causes nose bleeds? I don't remember my kids having them. (But then I forget a lot)

Speaking of my kids, DD called briefly today. she and DS went to tour the Alamo today. She said it was tiny. And I found out DS is living in a hotel on base, I thought it was an apartment. But I dont know if it like an extended stay type place or what. I assume it is.

Oh, and I enrolled today in a course called "How to survive on a reduced income" (1 HR) at a big 3 day session of all sorts of classes at work. I tried for 4, but only got 3, a class I really wanted on Office 2007 tips and tricks was already filled up an hour after registration opened . GRRRRR! And regristration is open till 9/3. Classes fill up so fast, you can't afford to blink!
Yeah, we might actuall migrate to Office 2007 sometime in 2009! which is better than moving to 2003 in 2007!

Hi, Marita...it sounds like your kids are having fun spending quality time together...my sister and bother... we spend alot of time together as well...well more so with my sister cause she has Justin and my brother works nights.

I'm not sure what caused this nosebleed, since she was fast asleep when it started initially. She gets one bad nosebleed a year, and it's always in the summer, oddly enough. The rest of the year, she's fine. I don't know if it's related or not, but she always has a huge growth spurt during the summer too. :confused3

Glad you heard from your DD, Marita.

I'm gonna hit the hay, Moovers. Sweet dreams, all!

Celerystalker and her sister had them a lot of them. I finally had to take both of them to ent and he cortirized (sp)the blood vessels. After that they had no more nose bleeds. There 's would happen at night. It is scary. Their daddy's side of the family had them all the time. :grouphug: For the baby and Godfather.

I have to declare triumph tonight!

I tackled the dishes!

For some reason, since I got home from the trip, I had no energy, NONE!

DD did laundry last Thursday, and my dress pants and blouses laid on the couch headreast.(Too busy/laxt with packing up DS at the time) Which the cat (with long white hair) thought that was a perfect sleeping spot. And for the next several days things piled up.

ALTHOUGH, we did NOT did much cooking, but still! They piled up.

BUT, tonight I finally tackled them! Dish piles are no more! My dishwasher is empty!

Clothes are re-cleaned! AND put in the closet!

The monsters have been tamed!!!!

GOOOD MORNING!

Everyone had a great first day at school. Emily is loving the fact that she's in high school and hating the fact that she's back on the bottom of the heap. Again. DS made some new friends and enjoyed recess.

I filled out the 47 papers that came home last night and readily consented to heaven only knows what. I had plenty of time since Mimi started reading BREAKING DAWN again! Nooooo! I want that book back!

RE: girls trip
....after some consideration, I think we may have to choose some place closer to home. One girlfriend just got divorced and is a little tight money-wise so now I'm thinking Gatlinburg (rent a cottage, drink margaritas, eat, watch movies, shop at the outlet malls) or Cincinnati (stay in a hotel, eat out, shop at Saks, drink martinis).

Lynette....I had a few bad bloody noses when I was a kid too. I always thought it was just snot and by the time I turned on the light and got to the bathroom, it looked like an ax murder had taken place in my bed. Prayers for your uncle. I hope they find the source of the problem soon.

Marita....You know that "How to Survive on a Reduced Income" is gonna tell you to do your own nails! Do you really use Office 2003 at Disney? Looks like they would've cut a deal with ole Bill Gates before now. I'm sure it's expensive to get that many licensed copies of the software. I'm sure that's in the budget of some other division. ;) I did dishes last night too. And yes, I was asleep at 9.

MommyP.....Scary on the plane detouring around your property! We had lived in our house just a few days when I realized that we are on the flight path of the emergency helicopter that flies back and forth to E. Ky. several times per day. It flies literally right over our house.

Monica.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the sweet, happy baby! Glad to hear the thyroid is OK. I know you were worried. Let us know re: Tim's surgery.

Moo.....Thanks. There's something comforting about a school schedule.

BNCG....Cute redhead story. He and my DS would soooo hit it off. They sound like two peas.

Celery....Negotiate for the four days! :thumbsup2

Everybody
.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Ug last night I had a horrible migrain. That's why I was not around, could not even look at the light from the puter.

It's a teeny bit still there.

I was in bed from 6pm on.

Lynette: prayers for your uncle/godfather. And please keep us posted.

I love scoop! Who needs my number? Or do I need to call you? Let me know.

MommyP: Do you make those dolly size? I have tons of naked dolly's around here.

Tim goes to see a radiologist today. And if he does have the surgery, it will be at St. Johns Hospital where my sister and cousin both work. My sister is a nurse in women's health, and my cousin does surgeries with heart doctors.

Have a great Thursday.:flower3:

Morning all. Mony gave me her headache.
yucky poo!
i might be back after I take some ibuprofen.

:wizard: Good Morning!

Hahah. I am totally using this as my new motto.

Re nosebleeds: I don't know much about them. We are not prone. My sister had a couple doozies as a kid but I think they both involved swimming pools.

Re surgeries, hospitals, et al; :wizard: :grouphug: :wizard:

Re school: two kids just got on the bus :dance3: they will be bACK in a couple of hours and tomorrow is for real

Re helicopters/airplanes in your back yard: at our previous secure location on the prairie we were in the flight path of the super big military helicopters. We kind of liked them. After a couple of years we noticed that not only did we have military but now we had other helicopters HOURLY. :confused3 We came up with theories like Elvis or the next unabomber was living next door but it turns out that our neighbor the cop had transfered to helicopter unit so when he was on duty he was flying by to check on his house and when he was sleeping his buddies flew by just to make him feel loved. He also told me lots of top secret stuff about police technology while our kids played together. :3dglasses It was a nice change of pace from mom chit chat.

Monica- Happy Birthing Day (sorry I am late) . I remember when you annouced you were pregnant with her. :cloud9: What a great surprise!

It has come to my attention that this thread hasn't had a really good poop story in a while. I have one guarenteed to make you :scared: .... if I have time I will share it later. Now I have to go clean the girls' closet while they are at school. Heh.

What the diapers? or the little fleece shorts?

:wizard: Good Morning!

I skimmed, who said something about nosebleeds? My Ethan has them all the time, I think it's because he picks his nose nonstop. He also breathes like darth vader. I don't know if the breathing came first and causes the nosebleeds, or the picking causes the breathing and nosebleeds. Or does the breathing and nosebleeds cause the picking? :confused3

I'm all up for a goog poop story. It's been so long since I've had one in diapers, before Isaac and he's been such a mild pooper that I haven't had any good poop stories to tell. :sad1:

Do you know how many times a day I am digging something out of Isaac's mouth? Yesterday it was a quarter sized piece of cardboard.:scared1:

Wendy - Scrabble is acting up again it wouldn't let me take my turn. I'll try later.

:

Hi Mony, my wife had the same problem yesterday...it must be a Lunar Position thing or allergies she came home from work early and went to bed an still is in bed...those Migraines suck bigtime.

I did not!

sorry and hope you feel better soon, nothing I did yesterday helped.

MommyP: I'm just joshing with you, but you could expand your business if you made little dolly clothes as well.

My sister had to get her nose catherized from all of her nosebleeds when she was young.
