just got back from having supper at our sons and dil's ......it was sort of a thank you for helping us move and letting us stay here.......we had sirloin tips, chicken and lobster......potatoes, corn on the cob and pasta salad.......delicious.....the lobsters were so sweet..our son cooked 12 outdoors and the steak and chicken on the grill...gotta love a good Maine lobster.....for dessert we had strawberry shortcake ....the kids cried when we left........geesh they come and visit about twice a week and they miss us too...

I am pooped....but had a great time.

I ate two lobsters and a piece of steak and some of the macaroni salad with shrimp in it...and a small piece of steak and corn ...delicious..but I could of eaten all those lobsters and forgot about the rest of the meal......DELICIOUS

Lexi...we have a huge strom heading for the both of us...they say the storm had 450 lightning strikes in the last 5 mins. along with 60mph winds and golfball size hail...I can see the constant lighning in the distance.

I'm back. Did you all get your personal copies of my trip report? I did not see Sig. But, I did see Universal Studios for the first time ever. I did not see Lint or JB. But, I did see Bonnet Creek with an ominous "For Sale" sign on it. I did not see Epcot. But, I did see Narcossis (sp?) and Citricos on consecutive nights. I did not see Marita. But, I did see myself in the mirror burnt beyond recognition after falling asleep by the pool during the two hours it did NOT rain during the trip.

Harumph! I did NOT receive my personal copy of your trip report. Sorry it was so dang rainy for ya - it will probably be now that you're home.

Hubby grilled burgers and I made a potato dish for dinner. After we saw Wall-E at the movies this afternoon. My potatoes and eggs are all cooked and cooling so I can make potato salad later tonight or tomorrow.

It's great to see Twink and Lynette today!!!!!!!!!

Steph - I noticed that movie when I was checking show times earlier today - not sure if it was though.

Good Evening Everyone!!!

Got DS off to scout camp this afternoon. It was a nice drive into the local mountains!! I kind of feel bad for my son - the camp is built on a side of a big hill so he will be walking up and down a hill all week (sound almost as bad as when I was his age, I walked 2 miles up hill to and from school ).

After DW & I dropped DS off for camp we spent the afternoon together - it was nice. We went to a local casino and had the buffet - lots of shrimp today. They had a great shrimp sauté - the fried shrimp was good also. I also had some fried calamari and a tuna steak. I finished off th lemon meringue pie and huckleberry ice cream. Before lunch I put a $5.00 into a 50 cent machine and won $35.00 so lunch was free!!!

GOOOD MORNING!

I'm here in a hotel in Spartenburg, SC. Turns out that even after I had that BIG fix done to my car last week, there's something else wrong so we stopped here to have it checked out before we got into the mountains. It's the water pump and they're replacing it this morning.

So...we really just squeezed another night of vacation out of the deal. The hotel is really nice and has a good breakfast so all is not lost. I start the new job tomorrow.

We lost another neighbor this weekend. He died of a heart attack. Single parent of two teenage daughters whom we adore. One of them is a very close friend of Emily's. The visitation is this evening. Please pray for those girls. They are not close to their mother and there's a long story there but now I fear they will have to move away and live with her.

WT & Lynette....Glad you're back. I need more info!!!

Twink....When will you be coming back through town?????

It's Monday and for Lynt and WT it's the Monday after a vacation and that is the suckiest kind of Monday.

Here's a story. Maybe you will find it mildly amusing. Consider it sunshine from Sunnybrook.


My family and I were at a restaurant a few short days ago. We were seated and dd jabbed me in the ribs.

"Give me your cell phone" she said

So I hand it over and she types out a message and it reads: That guy to the left of us is totally checking you out.

I look over and sure enough, some nice looking guy around 30-ish is staring right at us as if mesmerized by my presence. I smile at dd and deep down, I'm thinking "whaddya know, this mom of four still has a little sumpthn sumpthn"

A few minutes later, another male walks in, strides over to the "checking me out" guy and bends down and kisses this guy and then sits down and grabs his hand.

I look at dd, she looks at me. We crack up!

Dd says "Awww, sorry mom. I guess he was checking out DAD!"

so much for the mom of 4's ego. lol!

That's all I got this morning.

Pumba-- I love lobster. It was a summer thing for us since my Dad was from Cape Breton Island. We always ate it cold like crab meat. No butter either. With six kids they didn't go far so we were just happy to suck the meat out of the legs.....

Marita-- Maybe you should have a cook so you eat something everyday. Glad your dd helped you.

Sent Nicholas off to baseball camp and now have to go get some food and spend some time with Hannah at the library.
