DTD! Yikes on your tooth. Glad it wasn't painful. I'm such a wimp about tooth pain. I just had my permanent cap put on yesterday after fracturing my tooth and having that emergency repair back on New Year's Day. It finally feels back to normal.

Cel I am blown away by your recent photo. It's hard to believe it's the same person. What willpower and dedication. I know it must have been very difficult and you should be very proud of yourself. All your hard work paid off and now you're slim and trim, and I imagine you feel better as well. I think you will be an inspiration for many people.

Mony I so glad to hear the outcome of Tim's diagnosis and operation. It doesn't seem long ago that he first got the terrible pains and you rushed him off to ER. That was a scary time, and finding out he had cancer was worse. Your whole family has sure been through a lot of stress, and I hope now you can relax and have a great summer, knowing how fortunate you are that this difficult time is behind you and Tim is OK now.

DS ended up not leaving for the beach last night since they were going to get such a late start but they left this morning. He went with SIL, BIL, and niece. Emily arrived home last night as well. So it was a switch off.

RE: my September trip.....I am now wondering if I can move my bounceback reservation to the POP. Has anybody done this before? Is it even possible? I need more POP info as I've never stayed there. I hope I might still be able to go if the new bosses agree. We already have the airfare and it seems a shame to lose all that.

MONICA! I prayed a prayer of thanks today for Tim's results. I'm so thrilled that everything is OK.

Lexi: All I know about Pop is we stayed there once. The rooms are small, the walls are paper thin, the ambience is fun, and the food court had everything a kid could want. The rooms to us aren't that big of a deal at Disney though, b/c we usually spend the whole time at the park and basically use the rooms to shower and sleep. That being said, if I could afford it I would stay at WL every single time even if it was just to shower and sleep. *sigh*

Morning all,

I survived first night of camping.... And the smores yummy. I brought reeses peanut butter cups to melt this time instead of plain chocolate.

I wanted to take the boat over to Heart Island to see Boldt Castle but they won't let me.... You see it is on the N.Y side and you have to have your passport or picture ID (which I do not have the kids ) This castle was a love story. This hotel millionare build it for his wife for Valentine's Day and she died before it was finished so he stopped all work on it. You can look up the story.

We did go along the water trail , it is pretty to see all the islands and some with one house on it and trees.

DS just called on his way to see a movie and told me some more about his week on a "mission" he has to do in a couple of weeks. They get loaded on a big transporter plane and pretend they are under untack (the plane, a real one, dips and turns and whatever, and people get sick), then they land wherever and have to run out in 4 minutes and find their way to somewhere according to directions. The guys and girls are fighter planes (well, the ones whos role is fighter pilot, anyway). DS is in charge of some of the bombers and has to communicate with a command center about the status of the planes, and the types of bombs they have. A bunch of other stuff. He has to learn more about different types of bombs before then. Anyway, I was LOLing at the thought of a bunch of guys going to the woods pretending to be fighter planes, and then yelling "bombs away" when they get to their destination.

Oh, he is in charge if Hazardous waste removal too, EEEKKKKK!!!!!

Oh, and they get to camp in tents for the week too! No nice RV like Nabbie!

Funny side note: They guy in charge of assigning positions for that mission asked everyone what they are good at in the wilderness. DS said "gathering twigs and starting a fire" LOL! (well, he WAS a Boyscout). So he got the fighter plane coordinator job, go figure!!

DH was gone when I got up at the crack of noon today, and it is now almost 3:30. He isn't answering his phone, either. GRRRRRRRRRRR!

ETA 30 minutes later: OK, Dh just called, he went to see a movie after going to work for an hour. Couldn't he just called to let me know??????????? I have been sitting here worrying for 3 hours!
GRRRR again, but at least I know he is alive.

I was at work this morning when my cell rang. UNKNOWN. Doncha just love those calls. Well, it is the weekend, and I am hoping to hear from the Forestry Department, so I answered. It was Frontier Airlines.ohoh. They are packin' it up and leaving Lou uh vil. NOOOO!!!!!!!!
She gives me a choice,, full refund, or we can fly out of another city, one of which is NashVegas. Same days, roughly the same times. So, since our rate was under $200, I took the Nashville flight. Cel, we'll be down about 6 that evening. j/k, we'll crash at my sister's and make her get up at 3 am and drop us off. Or maybe just have her pick the car up for us.
BH and I had our mini-meet last night at Smoky Bones. He called and said he'd be there in a few. I got dressed, finished what I was doing, and headed over. We were both about the same distance away. I ordered a Stella, and looked at the menu. I then ordered the sampler-4 ribs, 4 wings, 2 bbq sliders and a mound of onion fries. It comes about the same time Pluto arrives. Just sayin'. Bones doesn't have a computer setting for Stella, so my bartender charged me for a Bud Lite. BH got a little poed, his charged him for a premium beer. hehehe. We both got another. Stella that is, the appy was huge. As he mentioned, he made a payment, so I've got some money from everybody now.

That's great that you get to keep your rate on Frontier. Nashville is no further for you although it may be a little further for the other guys.
