Yikes, teph, that does sound so good  Prayers and Pixie dust for your MIL

Marita-- good news on the graduation. Hope you can now survive the car trip.

Thanks for the shopping tip. But we have never bought one thing off the internet yet. Not sure why that is. Too scared I guess.

The washer/dryer came this afternoon instead of tomorrow. So I really had to move fast to clean it and I moved the old ones out and across the room all my myself. The dust bunnies were unreal !!! But the good news is now I am free to roam tomorrow and not wait all day for them to come.

UMA-- They are General Electric because we got a package deal with the stove and microwave that are the same. But we did do our research and they are suppose to be good. I didn't need the steam cycle, baby clothes, sanitary cycle ( I have hot water that does the same) but do have a hand wash cycle.

Mommy P-- your going to become like UMA when she started sewing we never saw her. Hope you show us what you make. Sorry about your Grandfather.

Moo-- keep resting those knees, glad they are feeling better. For some reason I thought you were in a Pet Smart for your dog training. Isn't it soggy were you are. We have so much rain it isn't soaking in the ground anymore. We have had to call the baseball games because of it.

Mony-- Hannah was like that she never walked until 14 months either. And she only got her first tooth when she was one. I was going to go in and get her mouth x rayed to see if she even had any.....

1. I think I am:laughing: . I know you are too -anyone who gives bbn a hard time is good people (and there is a lot of good people on this thread:thumbsup2 )!:rotfl:

2. The MIL visit is going well. Her and DW are out at a Party Lite (sp?) party.

1. I love to give the BbN a hard time!

2. Yikes! That Party Lite stuff is really nice, but extremely spendy! I went to a party at my cousin's house in December. When I first walked into the house, my eyes went right to a glass chimney that would be bee-yoo-tee-full in my dining room. Price tag? Yeah....$240!!!!! Yowza! :scared1: Needless to say, I went home without it!

We got an official invitation today for DS's graduation! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: From the base commander. I was surprised that it was a female.
So I guess that means he is past the danger zone? It said something in the letter about "graduation is a big event after the INTENSE training. No kidding on the intense. Hope DS survives the woods this week.

Maria isnt that just the best letter you ever recieved about your son? Congradulations...now thats something to celebrate...champayne and caviar all around :woohoo:

Yes, the car trip WILL be a royal pain! Really too because the idiots on the road scare me. The other day a car raced by at at least 90+ miles an hour, weaving in and out of traffic (for what little I could see, cause it was gone so fast) So my DH and DD and I driving up and down, 2 of DS's friends driving up and down (individually), then DS driving home, then DS driving to Texas and later to Colorado and then back to Texas. That's a lot of anxiety over idiot drivers in my book!

Nab, knitfreak says at that site you can just enter some info to return, and then you can printed return label. Just slap it on the box, and you are good to go. Anyway, worth a look.

Yeah, I can believe the dust bunnies, LOL. I am sure mine would be the same.
But you got it done and over with.

Happy :laundy: to you!

Thanks Cy!

Champagne and caviar on me! and I will throw in some lobster too!

I thought this was a friendly thread, but I see how you ladies are - gender discrimination, the guys are always left out :( ;)

I am glad your knee is feeling better - I have been sending good thoughts your way.

The MIL visit is going well. Her and DW are out at a Party Lite (sp?) party.
Ummmmm, I didn't think any of you guys would be into facials, mani/pedi, or body wraps :rotfl2: Although I could see you enjoying a massage! Feel free to schedule a guys only spa day ;)

I have given up going to Party Lite home parties because I'm allergic to many of the candle fragrances. But I do really like their unscented cream-colored votives in the clear cups. Hope your wife and MIL don't break you because I agree with Lynette on how spendy Party Lite items can be. That's how they get people to host parties . . . so they can get a break on the cost. Ouch.

Mmmmm, banana bread sounds yummy!

BTW, I wouldn't DARE pick on the bbn  LOL.

Nab, I looked into the PetSmart obedience classes. They probably would have been easier for me to handle knee-wise, but this one is less than 5 miles from my house vs. 15 miles.

Sorry it's so soggy in your area. We have had a fair amount of rain, but it has been drying out pretty good in between. Hope Nicholas hasn't been too disappointed to miss his games.

w00t on the new washer/dryer!

Funny, I just read a guest comment today. A lady wrote how her hubby just LOVED his pedicure, and can't wait to come back to see Sonia for that fabulous foot massage!! SO I say a round of pedicures for the guys too. And EVERYONE can use a facial and massage...

I get my next massage on Aug the 6th...I go every 3 weeks for the massage thereapy and Chiropactor Adjustment cause of all the heavy furniture lifting with my Antiques Work.

Have you seen Scentsy yet? Really neat electric bulb type warmers and all the warmers are the same price. They have lots of scents in little ice cubes for the warmers. Girl at work is having a party, can't wait to buy some stuff.

GOOOOD MORNING! :sunny:

OK...I'm at that point in the summer where I'm ready for school to start again. DS won't go to bed because he's sleeping til who knows when every morning. I'm tired and need to get to bed and get some sleep. Can't wake up.

So I guess the September trip is a goner barring a Powerball win. Talked to SIL #2 about going and she wants to bring her boyfriend along. :scared: It's really just a girl's trip. So does anyone want to purchase $750ish in airline credit from Southwest? I have great ADRs (for 4) and an itinerary that go along with it.

Monica.....Prayers for you, dear. Relax and wait for the dr. to diagnose you. OK?

Steph.....Prayers for your DH and MIL too.

Marita.....Congratulations on the graduation! That's awesome!

Hound....Congrats on 2000!

MommyP....Drooling over other peoples diapers?

Lynette......Uh-hemmmm....pictures?

BNCG, Wendy, Moo, Cel, Cy, NAB, everyone.........:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

OMG Lexy: I wish I could figure something out for you. I know how you had your heart set on this trip. What if you still go, cause the money is spent. What are your dates again?

While they are gone I mixed up a banana bread and it is in the oven - I hope the appreciate my culinary skills :)

WHO ARE YOU? This isn't another Rob/Robin thingy is it?

We decided to go up north this weekend and just relax and put life on hold in monymonyville. I think it's an excellent plan. DH's brother and wife will be there. Well it is technically THEIR place, we just stock it from time to time, and clean it, and make it purdy.

I just want to sit on the beach, and watch my kids swim in the lake and get some sun. A boat ride would be nice too. I think I'll bring up some ribs and make a nice BBQ dinner for everyone.

mony - Have fun at the lake. You guys deserve it.

I'm horrible at parking -
I hit a concrete pole in the parking garage this morning!
Thank goodness it didn't break my side mirror - you can't even really tell - there's just a tiny bit of yellow paint on the edge of my mirror.

(NO COMMENTS ABOUT WOMEN DRIVERS! I'd drive this bad if I was born male, I swear! ::yes::)

I keep trying to get breadman a pedicure, but so far he's resistant. His feet are CRAZY.
He has these calluses or growths or SOMETHING on the bottom of his feet -
they're hard places under the skin but not like on the edges where people normally get calluses.
I put tons of lotion on them, but I think he should get them looked at. :confused3
Poor guy.
his feet and ankles hurt all the time.

y'all think about him as he delivers bread in 90+ weather with no A/C.

melinda - I'm sorry you can't go on your trip. I cancelled my sepetember reservations too.

and I didn't win powerball last night. :sad2:

Good morning everyone!!!

The banana bread is good (if I do say so myself), it goes well with coffee:thumbsup2

MIL is going home today (this morning) :woohoo:

WHO ARE YOU? This isn't another Rob/Robin thingy is it?

Rob/Robin?:confused3 Nope I am 100% man and I do enjoy cooking, I do most of the cooking at the house. DW tells me I am not good at cleaning up though, but I thought that's why we had kids:lmao:

The lake sounds fun!!!

About the women drivers - that what my DW says!!!:rotfl: ;)

Lexy, sorry about your trip. I definatley can understand.

Lex: Sorry about your trip.:guilty:

Cyman: My name is not Pot. You know I prefer kettle

Snarkgirl: Do you want nice, sweet, drive by bbn or smartypants bbn? both? I am a dichotomy after all (can i get a gym?)

Moo: Smart woman, not to want to mess with a bbn. lol

Wendy: Sorry I missed your chattiness yesterday. Wanna know where i was?

alright two places

1. hottie dentist day.

2. Jonas Bros. concert

See it all started when dd decided I need to dress the part for the concert. So after my shower, she walks into my room and starts going through my clothes and finds her favorite shirt for me to wear. It's the skull and crossbones shirt. (see TR for details) I call it my pirate shirt. I have now worn it 4 times in my life. To WDW, to dd's school-at her insistance, to New Mexico, and now to the JoBros concert.

But as I stated earlier, dd and I had dentist appts first. (nothing says girls night out like getting your teeth cleaned???)

so the gal cleans my teeth, and then hottie dentist walks in and stops in his tracks and he is just kind of looking at me. I say "Hi Dr. X"

He says "You have skulls and crossbones on your shirt"

I say "Yes, I do"

He says "There is a whole other side to you that I never knew about"

I say "well, that is on a need to know basis"

he says "I like it"

and I ALMOST said (b/c you freaks have infiltrated my life!) "ya never know what a bbn might do" BUT I caught myself and said "I like to surprise people"

he said "I am surprised, but it's a good surprise."

and after he checks my teeth, he says "Feel free to wear that shirt anytime"

I say "Ummm. Ok?"

and then I go to the lobby and grab dd's hand and say "You owe me! I am never wearing this shirt again!" and she thinks it is hysterical.:sad2:

so, we drive three hours to the Avril Lavigne/JoBros concert. And for you posters with preteen/teen girls that chick from camp rock Demi (the main girl) opened for both of them. I hate to say this, but she was very off key. Felt kinda bad for the girl. But the hundreds of SCREAMING girls around me never noticed.:headache:

anyway, we are at the concert, I'm behaving pretty well. The jumbotrons are set up. You can send text messages for people to read while you wait between acts. (I love you Nick Jonas. Scream if you love the JoBros. etc) It's pretty late in the concert, (right before the JoBros come out) I am getting bored. I figure, why not play around a little? Now to be honest, it's late in the concert, I figure anything I might send would never make it up on the screen in time, right?

So I'm fiddling with my phone and a few minutes later. The crowd starts laughing. I look up at the screen. Well looky there right there in front of thousands of people are the words "I have to pee" WHO would do such a thing????:upsidedow

Moving on, I live through the concert, we are heading out. We are about to cross the road into the parking lot, when security stops us and says "wait right here" Dangit, I'm trying to beat the crowd! So we wait and the crowd starts getting bigger behind us and security is keeping everyone off the road.

And then I see it. The JoBros bus. Coming right at us. I brace myself.

Then all the girls see it and a unified scream is let out. Shrieking, shrill, prepubescent, blood curdling screams.

We are at the front of the line. The bus stops right in front of us. Dd JUMPS on my back! The moms around us start laughing. She screams "KEVIN!!!!" There they are standing in the steps of the bus, literally a few feet from us. She screams "KEVIN!!!!!!!" again. He looks at her, smiles, and waves.

.

my eardrums are still bleeding.

By the time we make it to the interstate, it's midnight. She says "I have to call daddy!"

But before I can say "he probably just feel asleep", she is on the phone in near hysterics. KEVIN! was a few feet from me. He saw me. He heard me scream his name. He smiled at me. He waved at me. blah, blah, blah, blah. I can hear dh laughing on the other line.

She puts the JoBros CD in and turns it all the way up. I allow her to listen to it. once. Then I tell her to put it away, go to sleep, mommy and Michael Buble are going to have a moment. alone.

There ya go folks, just another day in the life of a bbn. :teeth:
