No I haven't ordered it yet. Grr. They gave me a code but no way to enter it if ordering online. So I called AND emailed. No response. Hello! I am trying to send you money~~~

The fabric is less but the shipping is more than fabric.com so it comes out even. But I really want that color! None of the fabric.com greens are nearly as pretty. Plus they would clash with the rings that have already been shipped to your house.

breaking news!

just talked to THE silk baron, the current jingle bells dye lot is more yellow
so now i don't know what to do

he reccomended snakeskin:confused3

or getting some samples and waiting:headache:

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to see jingle bells!

Snake skin is NOT jingle bells. It's more limey/pink.

From SlingRings.com:
The rings aren't the color I was expecting, can I return them?

We are happy to exchange rings for others that will work better for you. Please e-mail us, and then send the rings to PO Box 27, Laveen, AZ 85339. Be sure to include a note explaining the situation and detailing what rings you would like in exchange

so I am thinking green tea backed with moonshadow(in the silver section) instead of onyx

What do you think?

I get 3 free samples with an order so we can see jingle bells. His description of the current dye lot included the words "more chartreusey".

chartreuse does not look good on me

or maybe I just go with jingle bells and hope it is pretty?????

Sorry to hear about all the severe weather. We still have a small lake in our side yard but the rain has finally stopped. I saw a couple power trucks out last night while I was picking up some groceries so there must have been some lines out somewhere. Unless they were heading south to help out :confused3 We had lots of out-of-state power trucks in our area earlier this summer to help restore power.

I came down with a cold yesterday and am still sneezing today, so I decided to spare my coworkers and stayed home. Hopefully my hubby and DD won't come down with it while they are away.

Nabbie - I'll send you a PM!

Twink - I just saw your edit. No worries on our FB game. I know how busy back-to-school time can be!

So you want Warm, cozy, and 100% organic, this beautiful iridescent silk has powerful antioxidant properties to help keep your windows looking young and beautifu backed with A darker, sexier version of Platinum. ?

Interesting descriptions.

How long will it take for the samples to get to you? Did you get a sample of the chartreusey jungle bells?

Green tea seems very yellow to me.

I like mint. Not that that color goes with your green jackets. But man does that look just like a leaf. It's so pretty.

I love the descriptions of the colors. :rotfl: It took me awhile to get that most people are ordering for custom window treatments.

Hi Moo! Thanks for the low stress wordscrap.

I still don't know what toooo dooooo.

What do you mean by, "wrinkly"?

The linen I have all balled up on my sewing table is wrinkly, yes. lol

I think it's good for linen to look, "crumpled" to some degree with a sling.

My silk that is all balled up is wrinkly too. :rotfl:

OR what about forget the reversible idea and just get black (deep pewter on fabric.com)

I like the lime stripe (also on fabric.com). We could add some to the tail. What do you think? Would 2.5 of black and 1 of lime be enough? or do 3 and 2?

or forget the green all together and get black?

can you tell I am a problem child????

I am so bummed about the lack of jingle bells. The good news is that if I order from fabric.com it will be to you much more quickly.

People pay BIG money for linen slings. P-slings start at $150 and go up to over $400.

2 1/2 of black with 1 yard of green strips would be plenty.

fashionfabricsclub.com (where I was getting the linen) has silk also. You can check there, it runs about 14 a yard. I did see some pretty greens though.

How long before the samples get to you?

I am about to order.

What will I choose?:confused3

Even I don't know.

Just got back from the Geography activity at DD's school. Some wonderful mom (no, not me because it was beyond my talent pool ;) ) made sugar cookies in the shape of the US. Then the kids slathered white icing all over their cookies. Then they used green coconut, chocolate sprinkles, candy corn, green sugar, Hershey's Kisses, chocolate chips, and blue cake gel to decorate the different regions within the US.

If you recall, we have a NO SUGAR rule at school. I couldn't figure out, for the life of me, how they could do this. :confused3 Well, they didn't EAT it at school, they had to take it home with them, and eat it at home. I'm sure the parents will enjoy that.

Oh, and I forgot to mention this, but my 15 yo DS has his first real job!!!!! :woohoo: :dance3: :yay: He is working at a new fast food place that is within walking distance of the house. The owners have their littlest boy in my preschool. I'm so excited for him.:cheer2: I hope it goes well. They aren't actually opened yet, but the owner asked him to come on today, and he could put him to work helping getting the place together, so that they CAN open.

Twinkie - What did you order?

I'm about to take my pink silk shoulder apart. Again. This will be the third time. I'm going back to the last shoulder. All 42 inches folded in half and then gathered through the rings and sewen down a few inches below. It was the most comfortable yet and I was able to spread it out or scrunch it up as needed. I tried a true "gathered" shoulder and the top rail was riding high, dangerously close to my armpit. I do NOT like that. Plus the shoulder was too much. I think a true gathered will work better with a sling 30 inches. But WOW! I love this wide sling. You want me to make your sling 42 inches with a folded over and then gathered shoulder? It's perfect for these growing boys. I was even able to put him on my back and feel he was secure. You're basically only going to get a 42 inch sling with the folded then gathered shoulder, or a 30 inch sling with a regular gathered shoulder. I am completely pleat and folded stupid. I can't get those types of shoulders down at all. Too much work. :headache:

Allie-- your son's first job, cool and can walk there. My son who is 11 wants a job so bad because we won't buy him a cell phone.:lmao: Sounded like a fun but messy project at school. I'm sure they got some of that sugar in them anyway.

Mommy P-- when do you get your camera back, I always love seeing your creations.

Yes, because the teacher told them after they got done, that if they "sampled" the leftovers, she didn't "see anything". :rotfl: :rotfl2: There was alot of "sampling" going on. :rolleyes1 Luckily, they were given strict instructions with the icing. They were to spread it on their US, and they were NOT to touch their knife until they were finished, and they were NOT to stick it back in the icing. :scared: I have to say that I believe that they all adhered to that rule. :thumbsup2

I am leaving his dinner in the microwave because Shadow has her an obedience class tonight, and DH and DD went to a mandatory meeting at school. So, I feel kind of bad that he is going to come home to an empty house on his first day of work. :guilty: Guess I'm not gonna win any Mother of the Year awards for that. :sad2: Although, I did leave explicit microwave directions, so as not to have a Jordan experience, right Wendy? ;)

after much debate I found the perfect color hidden under the GOLD category:cool1:

I got enough for the reversible black-n-green!
