What is up with all this hatred of popcorn ceilings on the design shows?!

I have them, I see NOTHING WRONG with them :confused3

Yes, and for $13.95 an hour, I can tell you what the future has in store for you too.........:rotfl:

I liked the last routine (the Bollywood dance)! It was really good, and I didn't even expect to like it even a little.

Yes...I like Joshua and Katie the best so far even though their first dance was a bit bouncey ...they redeamed themselves during their world dance it was awesome..

Sandy...please do not even speak the word migrane. I think that's enough to pass it from one person to the next.

Moo...your internet and phones go down way too often!

We had a big meeting today at work about what's going to happen to the restaurant. Basically what I got out of the meeting is that the construction is going to be a giant pain in the astarstar and I'm not going to be there to experience most of it. Darn? Outer Rim (the bar by Chef Mickey's) is going away forever on Sunday and walls are going up. We'll have to take the guests around the walls and through a rather narrow space to get to their tables. That's all I've got for the evening. Sweet dreems, all!
:grouphug:
PJ - Ditto on the migraine word. Ack!

I would have to agree with you on our Internet and phone :headache: I saw a cable truck at the end of our neighbors' driveway today where the cable box is located. Hopefully, we haven't been the only ones complaining!

Sorry to hear the Outer Rim is going away! That was a nice place to wait to be seated. The construction sounds like a major pain.

Moo I think you need satelite internet, as much as I hate it. Unless there is massive cloud cover, you have a connection.
Kay - We actually have our HBO via satellite. A shared deal with my FIL :confused3 So I don't dare mention the Internet. It would be WAY too complicated!

Nothing better than standing in line at the water park next to some guy who is sweating all over the place and has athletes foot.
Hey! This isn't the foot fungus thread, WT!!!

You'll be glad to be at the water park in that heat, no matter whether there are sweaty, fungus-infested guys or Europeans wearing Speedos ;)

Budget review is over, W00T!!!!!!! All went very well. Just a couple of follow items, (which happens every year) to do tomorrow, and then I think I am going to take Friday off. I was thinking about that anyway, but then we got an email that we have to park in East Egypt Friday due to heavy drive in Convention business, so that sealed it!

I saw DD for a total of about 5 minutes today, she is off to spend the weekend with her BF in Jacksonville. At least she is safely back in the country.

We went to lunch at Panera after the review. Had a lovely Broccoli-Cheddar soup with a chunck of fresh French bread. See, I DID eat! (SIS, I'm not dieting, but been busy lately, so I skipped some meals).
w00t for your budget review being done, Marita!!!!!!!!!! Sorry you didn't see much of your daughter, but that's just how kids that age are, I think :sad2:

Panera broccoli cheddar soup = YUMMO! My fave.

Wendy! An overzealous fan??! :scared: Can't you just put them on ignore? Goog thing we can talk with you on FB.

MommyP!!! Your house is so cute. I still have some lingering country decor. I have tried to go more toward Mission style, but I'll probably never give up my cow stuff :lmao:

Lex - That's nice that you'll keep cooking at your church :)

Yes...I like Joshua and Katie the best so far even though their first dance was a bit bouncey ...they redeamed themselves during their world dance it was awesome..

Ha, Hound...you and I are quite astute at judging these dancers, aren't we? And here I sit on the couch in my pajamas......:lmao:

I started packing tonight. Mostly Natasha's stuff. She supervised  and offered lots of guidance on what would/would not "work for" her. Lucky me. Meanwhile, Boris and his dad were sprawled across the living room, soaking up the A/C. Oy.

Forgot to mention that last night, I counted and rolled the change that the kids have been putting aside in the "Disney bottle", which is where they throw all their loose change. Now, mind you, these kids don't get an allowance, and none of the money in the bottle was from birthday or Christmas gifts. Just random change they've gotten from my mom, or leftover $$ from having spent some at the store. Well, the contents of the bottle totaled $201!!!! :woohoo: So they'll each have a good amount of spending money while we're at WDW. Between that money and my Dream Reward Dollars (from Disney Visa), the kids' spending money for the trip is all taken care of! :cool1:

Further preparation for my trip included a trip to the bookstore this morning on my way to work. Bought 2 books to take with me...one of which I am going to start reading right now.

See y'all tomorrow! Sweet dreams!

Hi Moo, goog to see you, I was starting to think your Internet was out again.

Tomorrow we have to wind up loose threads at work, and probably go out to lunch for a couple of people having birthdays this week. It's tradition that the manager pays for the birthday person's lunch. Dont know where yet, since we went to Panera today. Maybe Olive Garden???

Anything but work cafeteria! And then I am staying home Friday, YAY! I dont care if I work from home or just take the day off, as long as don't have to drive in to work.

Oh and this evening (5:15 or so) knitfreak sent me an email headed "call me". So I called, and before she could say anything, I was singing to her " I am calling you ouououou". She burst out laughing and told the boss, who said I should go to bed. I sent him an email after midnight yesterday. Still haven't slept.

Hey, L!!! Kudos on the kiddos' Disney spending $$$!

Marita, I took Sukie to her obedience class tonight. Tromping around in the grass field was pretty tiring for me. My knee was not cooperating, but Sukie did pretty well anyway and I turned her over to the instructor a couple times when my knee was too sore and I was too pooped to keep going. I also brought a chair tonight so I wouldn't have to stand the whole time.

When I got home from class, I helped DH lug the new hot tub cover to the deck and put it on. It is way lighter than the old waterlogged cover, but still heavy enough. Now we have to figure out how to dispose of the old one.

Speaking of birthdays, Marita, I see on Facebook that it is YOUR BIRTHDAY tomorrow!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!! I think you should just take off the whole rest of the week! :dance3:

Yikes on the knee, Moo, I feel your pain. I dislocated my left knee twice when I much younger than today (que the Beatles), and it still bothers me at times. Silly stuff like I have to use my right leg to step up from the street to the sidework curb, or sometime I don't know if my leg will give out while walking, it just feels like it might.

We had a German shepherd guard dog at the gas station my dad owned. He used to amuse himself throwing old tired in the air and catching them. He went to training too. He bit through the trainers rubber guard on his arm, LOL. He was a great dog, Rex! Unfortunately he was poisoned by some person trying to break into the garage.

Aww, shucks, Moo! Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just thinking earlier, it really has been my birthday for 6 hours already, since I was born in Germany. But I guess the date still counts.

It's great to be 49 (again and again and again and ....) !!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I better go to bed, or I will never make it to work with any kind of a functioning brain or in a timely (for me) manner........

Goog night!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARITA!

Hope it's spectacular and the boss pays for LeCellier. :)

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!

These full time days are long, people! I'm working all day at church until I go to the new job. Just trying to get caught up on everything as much as possible. Met with the sales rep and sent our big publication to the printer yesterday and ordered 250 t-shirts. Still working on some big mailings. I pity the fool that has to walk into that job at such a busy time. :guilty:

Lynette....w00t on packing! DS is ready to pack for the beach. He's leaving Friday afternoon with DSIL, DBIL, and sweet lil niece. He's soooo excited. I won't tell him you had $201 in the change jar. I can't top that. ;)

Kay & Hound.....Our "storage building" is in the basement. DH has serious hording issues and he needs help. He is an avid curb shopper as well. I am basically a minimalist but he told me once he had a dream that he divorced me because I threw away all of his "stuff". :confused3

MommyP
....Your house looks wonderful! You have all the stuff on the walls that I have to keep on top of the fridge?! Your boys must be very well disciplined. ;)

Moo
.....I don't think they could find anybody else to cook for 100 every week?! But the bad thing is I won't be doing the shopping. I rarely even took a list to Sam's Club so not sure how that will work. And the other thing is I have a vested interest in the ministry now that Mimi is in college. :)

WT....I'm right there with ya on the foot fungus at the water parks. :scared: I'm always on the lookout and praying that chlorine really DOES kill everything. Get yourself some water shoes at Wal*Mart. Heh.

EVERYBODY HAVE A GREAT "MARITA'S BIRTHDAY" DAY!

Melinda.....I found a really nice rattan shelf on the curb a couple weeks ago an there was absolutely nothing wrong with it except a few cobwebs...it was very heavy and sturdy with an arch top

Morning!

Happy Birthday Marita! I hope ANY work you do today, is easy, simple, and rewarding. As far as the celebration. At least eat some cake today!

BH: Some of my best finds are from other peoples curbs.

Ok, I'm at my wits end with a little day care child of mine. He turned 3 two days ago. I'm still trying to potty train him. I think I'm doing it alone and his parents are seperated and I never know, nor does he, whos coming to get him.

He's really something.

He won't do ANYTHING unless he wants to. I mean, he won't eat, clean up, play, listen to you, move, respond to you, look at you when you are trying to talk to him.

Unless he wants to.

I throw so much food out.

I am in the kitchen with the kids, they are eating breakfast.

I ask the kids to take a bite and everyone but him does. I see him move his hand to his spoon and then he takes it back. I find sometimes if I am not watching him, he might do it.

When you are talking to him he looks up at the ceiling, or looks away, like talk to the hand kind of thing.

He will never tell me he's pooped in his pants.

If I go over there and put a spoon to his mouth with food 50% of the time he'll take it.

I've tried the sweet caring voice, I've tried the stern voice, I've ignored him, I've tried to make it fun and games, he just is so stubborn.

Any suggestions?

Have a nice day!

I am headed to the grocery store this morning. I'm going to try out my new Mei Tai. Which was super easy to make.

Wendy what do you know about this machine?

Have a nice day!

The part Ive edited sounds just like my 12 yo step-son Dan...only he only gives you a evil look while your talking to him especially when asking him a question ...it doent matter who i talking to him they all get that look.... but he will talk your ears off about whatever is on his mind and he is very smart in stuff he likes at school (Math and Science).

Good Luck

Dan has ADHD.... so that may be what the parents could look into...but that may be too young to diagnose in your childs case.

BH- I'll rescue you! OK...

You know the (") icon right next to the (quote) icon you already do know how to use? It's in every post here. Every post you DO want to quote, you click on the (") icon until it turns red. Do nothing but click on each post you DO want to quote until you are ready to post. Say there's 3 posts you've clicked on (red) and you're ready to post...hit the post reply icon and it should all show up.

At which point you can edit out the fluff that you didn't want to respond to.

I can also teach you how to thumbnail pictures if you quote a large series of pictures like MommyP's (IF they are from photobucket, not Snapfish)

MommyP LOOK how cute! Love it! (You look SOOO pretty, mama!)
