Moo, inquiring minds want to know, what is on the menu if your worker friends come over tomorrow?

Congrats on the clean(ish) house. I am in desperate need of a vacuuming and kitchen floor and bathroom cleaning person. I'll pay $20 an hour or so for now, any takers?????????? (notice this was gender neutral?)

Hope your power comes back before tomorrow night, Moo!

Does that include travel expences...if so we have a deal......LOL

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

It's Friday! Sorta.

Anybody got fun plans for the weekend??? Not us.

Our Big Guys Group is Meeting at Goofys Farm in Bardstown for his yearly campout party...I hope it dosnt get rained out were getting Moo's storms heading down our way this afternoon and all weekend...so much for our fireworks I quess....we shall see.

 Ouch. I just don't have the patience for Scrabble. I go for the easy words.

That wasn't meant as an insult to you anymore than it was to me. I can't play with the others without looking up words because on my own I can only think of easy ones. :rotfl: I even have to look up words with my LITTLE brother.

Wendy and thems are to smart fer me.

:lmao:

Guess what I have to do this morning?

Vacuum!

I found ants coming in at the front door. Can't say what they were going for, the only thing around was my diaper bag. Which I cleaned out to be sure, guess what I found?

A roach.

Yesterday I had to throw away a loaf of bread because one had burrowed into the bag. :scared:

I think one of the workers hid a four course meal in the walls of my house because I just can't figure out why they(the roaches) would choose my house. :headache:

So I seven dusted the heck out of the door jam and I'm awaiting certain death before I vacuum it all up. Otherwise, they climb OUT of the vacuum and infest another area.

Today is our 9 year anniversary. And we ACTUALLY remembered this year. Yesterday I was wondering if he would remember with all the working he's been doing. When he got home yesterday he said, "Happy Anniversary Eve!" lol. This morning when I went to pull out the keyboard there was a card sitting on it.

Sorry about the no power again cheryl.

did I tell any of you about the storm we got last week?

the one that hit 10 minutes before leaving for Mal's last recital?

(she did great by the way!)

This was the evening before Tim's surgery:

My boys went outside to wait in the car and on their way a major wind came through and took a chunk out of my neighbor's Maple tree and placed it in my yard:

The "limb" was huge and crushed the fence:

It took out half of my 3 year old bradford pear:

And here are the boys, I always post Mal and Maddy, but it's boy time. This is when we went to a local fundraiser and the attraction was Star Wars and we got to watch the original Star Wars Movie at the end of the night. Thanks to Steph for writing about Star Wars Weekends in her trip report or I would have forgotten about it.

I didn't look too bad bumping into the ex that night, right?

Mal got into it finally, at first she was skeered:

Have a great day!

morning........I tried to sleep past 6 but at 4 am the dog pushed me out of bed.I was not a happy SLEEPER.......so finally she jumped out of bed because the paper person was noisey and voila I had my side of the bed back.....

We had some wicked storms the last few days......I think if Nab gets one we get one....must be the air pushing it towards us.

All this buggy talk gives me the shivers.........I did tell hubby if we EVER go to Florida the place will have to be sprayed every week or month whatever it is done.......I dont care if it is GOOD chemicals or BAD ones..just kill the bugs on contact please.....~~~~~~ shivers again..can you tell I am a northerner....Mainer to be exact.....not alot of buggies but squitas and black flies that could carry you off.....oh and those lousy ticks.....but all in all ..not alot of buggies....

I think we are counting the days now ...64 days YIPPEE

LOL, NAB! well, there are lots of shooters there as well :drinking1:

My mom is probably equally happy and anxious about having DD there, but she really is a very responsible girl (well, young woman even, at 23 1/2). But I am sure mom worries if DD goes out anywhere.

Nab I was thinking the same thing!! :rotfl2:

Marita I love festivals - that sounds just the thing!! Thanks for sharing that, I know I wont ever get to visit - but I love hearing the festivals!! My hometown started a festival 30 years ago I think - a POPCORN Festival!! The star? Orville Redenbacher!! He was from my hometown of "Valparaiso IN" of course!! That festival really grew - I no longer go home for it!! lol the Popcorn factory gave huge (5 -6 feet huge) bags of popcorn to the float makers!! Popcorn everywhere!!

Moo Those storms WERE FIERCE - I didnt go online because of them - we didnt lose power, just almost,, the flicker...

Dogs still trying to figure everything out, they still are 'stressed'.. I'm living on the "Its me or my dogs" Animal Planet show - I'm learning!

Marita I watched that!! Since I flip channels, I was watching Bravo's Shear Genius - they had to cut the Orange County Housewives :rotfl2: and Irvine - I love that guy - its amazing how much great food he puts out - I was afraid when all his lies came out Food Network was going to cancel him! (he "puffed" his resume, and come to find out he wasnt an executive chef for the Queen of England!)

Of course we could learn from Lexi and all the food for her church group -

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I need to request prayers for a family. This fall I posted about my cousin's husband's brother (did anyone follow that?). Anyway, he had lung cancer. Never smoked even a single cigarette in his entire life. The doctors said he'd never make it to Christmas, but he sure did. He fought for a very long time but on Tuesday afternoon he passed away. He had 4 children. They are now 3, 5, 7, and 9.

He was the greatest guy. He helped me move into my apartment this past August, moving all the heavy stuff for me. He and my cousin's husband owned a car repair shop together and I can't even count the number of times those two got me out of tricky situations with my car. Whenever anything went wrong, they always fixed it for me in exchange for babysitting! Last year there were some obnoxious boys in my apartment complex giving us trouble and he came and gave them a piece of his mind so they'd leave us alone. He was such a great dad, too, always playing with his kids or doing something for them. I'm sure he's still watching over them even now. I'm not going to be able to make it home for the funeral, which is this afternoon. He will definitely be greatly missed.

MommyP- I have a huge feeling you are much to young to fully get this picture, but some of your imaginary friends will...Barney Rubble (except I thought it also included the lodge buddies, not police officers) and Fred sang this GREAT and catchy song to Wilma. At least I think that's how it went down. I'll try to find the actual song so it can be stuck in your head all day! ;)

Good morning everyone!

Big L - I've been telling my friend Lisa CBM stories to make her feel better about her evil boss.
I can't stand the woman!
She makes my life miserable even though I don't work for her.

Here's an email she sent to her people today: (that they of course forwarded to me. tee hee)
When going to lunch today and your participating in the luncheon (DO NOT) clock out. If you leave the premises "YOU MUST" clock out.

And yes, she used the blue and red bold text in her email. And the quotation marks and parantheses are hers too.

Cel, Lisa's boss sounds like a real piece of work. :sad2: Too bad CBM's married, or we could hook them up. :sad2:

Oh, that's awful! That poor family! I'll add them all to my prayers. So sad for those little children to lose their dad so young.

Peej - So sorry for your loss! I pray that God's grace will be on you and all your family.

Wendy - Thanks. I did watch the Flinstones when I was little, you know. Maybe I was seeing reruns.;)

I am in desperate need of someone making me a Mei Tai. I have no sewing skills. None. I can't even figure out how to thread the stupid machine. It looks so easy to do and yet so hard for someone who can't thread the stupid sewing machine. I almost won one on e-bay, but at the last second someone outbid me, by 50 cents.

I'm teaching 1st and 2nd graders for VBS starting the 14th and I need something I can wear Isaac on my back in.
