Lexy: How does the bounce back work? Can you book for any future dates?

Morning all.

It looks like a beatiful day ahead of us.

I just wanna say:

GO WINGS!

GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!

Lexi...good luck to Emily tonight. Hope you enjoy the play! Road trip to King's Island, you say? That'll be an easy trip for me. My little sister's summer job is lifeguarding at the water park at King's Island. It opens today, so this was her first day. Feels a little cold out for a water park, but what do I know?

Twink...I know you're right about the transcrips. Unfortunately. Ours are only $10. Woot? I wish I could say I too know nothing about parking tickets but my record is far from flawless.

DTD...thanks about the graduation pictures. :) I'm glad to hear you have a parking ticket you never paid. Gives me some hope for not paying mine! :lmao:

Cel...I want a kitten, too. Can I have a kitten??? Can I also have free rent???

Our Communion bread is that wafer-y thingy. Does anyone remember those penny candies that were called "flying saucers"? They were filled with little candy beads....well, anyway, the flying saucers taste PREZACKLY like the Host.
EXCELLENT COMPARISON!!!!!!!!!!!

and the women are homegrown and sweet as pie.(angelic even)
Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Utah...hope the house showing went/is going well today and the beurking stops.

McCreepster...darn straight I still qualify for hotT college chick!!!! Have you not seen me? Duh. Sheesh, you gotta explain everything to some people. :snooty:

Moo...glad you got the puppies back. Yikes. Sounds scary.

Mony...sorry to hear about the death in your family. Hope the funeral goes okay.

I have somehow found myself stalking a babynurse again. How does that always seem to happen? :confused3

Good luck Wendy.:thumbsup2 Can't the dh's get a lil respect on this thread? C'mon. They work hard as psych nurses, parking lot attendants, scientists, etc. Some of them even have TWO wives to support. Some of them even have to put up with snarkiness and biting on a daily basis. *cough*snarkgirlspoorhubby*cough* I think a dh is a fine addition to a Disney trip.

Thank YOU.
This DH part nearly slipped through my skimmings.
AND, "NO".

Wendy here's a {{{hug}}}! You just sit right down and enjoy your hooch.

Aw, I did!
Hi Moo and Wendy! I'll definitely be around this weekend. DH and DS took the cover off the pool this evening   , and we'll be sprucing up the yard this weekend. Also, I'm having my idiot brother and his 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse kids over for a cookout on Sunday, along with DH's 2 brothers and a couple of friends. On Monday, Boris gets to march in our town's Memorial Day parade with his soccer team and/or Scout den. He hasn't decided which group he wants to walk with yet.

I am really looking forward to getting some family time in, along with some time to get stuff done around the house.

But I'll definitely be popping in here and playing Scrabble too. So check our games, girls! ;)

Your idiot brother and his 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse kids sound passive-aggressive delightful!

Tell Boris I vote he march with his cub scout den.

So for the first time in the 18 1/2 years I've been a momma, I spent the night alone in my own home last night. It was very anticlimactic actually.

So what did I do on my evening alone? With no beer?
Lurked on the DIS.
Fought with the cable company over my bill.
Switched my internet and phone service over to the phone company.
Applied for a full time job online.

Thrilling evening. I should've colored my hair and done a facial like Wendee.

I fell asleep watching What Not to Wear at around midnight and the TV stayed on all night and my dreams incorporated themselves to flow with the infomercial that was on TV all night long. Then at 7 Emily's alarm went off...Jack Johnson singing Better Together. Not entirely unenjoyable so I listening to it about 10 times until the phone rang at 7:30.

Tonight is Emily's *Gertrude* night in Seussical. If I get some video, I'll post it on Facebook tomorrow so you can see it.

Wendee....PM the link to your house tour! I wanna see! I hope Narah doesn't get the crud. Keep her away from the boys!

I am always amazed how anticlimactic ME time is. I want peace and quiet so badly and when I finally get some, I'm bored. :confused3

I love What Not To Wear! I'm anti-MOM jeans because of them. And anti- loose t-shirts etc.

You should have Miss Clairol'd and facial't too. Geez, I wish we lived closer!

Yay Gertrude!

Norah's fine so far, BUT I now have a horrible sore throat and swollen "glands" and ears that feel like I'm under water. UGH!

I needed a good night's sleep last night BUT at 7:13 AM my DH was vacuuming (our showing was at 10 :sad2: ) our room. He was either trying to provoke me (it worked) or is THAT clueless (probably). I reminded him of my #1 rule, NEVER WAKE ME unless you have a caffeine-offering to save your life.

Yada yada yada, the realtor showed at 11:00 and they loved the house.

I'll link you as soon as it's up monday or tuesday.

Utah...hope the house showing went/is going well today and the beurking stops.
Thanks! I think it went well. They were here for a long time. :confused3
Yes, Dallen is fine now, thank God.

You're trying to say something? :p

Oohh, Wendy add me to list of friends (aka nosy folks) that want a lookie. ;) I'm always looking on our local real estate website, just cause I like seeing how others decorate their houses.

We had some good family time last night. All of us including the dogs. We took them to the local dog park. We had never been and thought it would be fun for the dogs. We have watched hours of the Dog Whisperer, so we knew how to be responsible pet owners. ;) Well, Trixie LOVED playing fetch. Shadow pretty much stuck close to us. Not sure she was very comfortable at first. Although, Trixie kept stealing everyone else's water. Even the dirty water that the Golden had dropped her ball into along with all the dirt and mulch. :scared: Anyway, when we scooped up Trixie to carry her to the car, we noticed that her feet were bleeding, and it was on DS shirt. :scared1: Well, when we first played fetch it was over the gravel area of the dog park. She cut at least one pad on the bottom of each foot. :scared1: We felt like really bad owners then. :sad1: We had no idea that it would tear up her pads that way. I guess I have passed my "accident genes" on to my dogs. :rotfl2: We will go back again but all fetching will happen in the nice grassy area next time. :cloud9:

I run my big 10K on Monday. No CEL, they don't have a tracking like Disney. Guess that just means I'll have to go down there and run another race. :rolleyes1

Hope everyone has a wonderful MEMORIAL DAY!!! I say that now cause I'll be spending the night with my MIL tomorrow night. She lives a lot closer to the START line, so that will give me a few more moments of shut eye. :cloud9:

Hi Allie, good to see you again! Don't be a stranger.

Wendy, add me to the list of "shoppers" too ;)

Moo, yikes about the puppies. How scary! glad they returned safely.

DS called today, from I think the bathroom  He said he failed test today, about military rules and dress codes. But he said it was not one of the all important "graded measures". Don't ask me what the difference is, I am guessing it something like difference betweeen a test and a quiz. He said they have tons of people there right now, and the mess hall is crowded, and he has like 3 minutes to eat. I am really stressing about him.
He called his sister yesterday to ask her to send him some underwear and toothpaste:scared1: I worry about him. And I am stressing about work, and my mom.
DD is off to a church retreat camping trip with her BF and his family this weekend, so I am jealous of that too, she never spends time with me, only with her dad. Plus she is going to Europe with his family in June.

OK, sob time over, please return to your regularly scheduled Holiday weekend!

Marita- Yes, sometimes they only get 3 minutes to HORK their meals. My ex-dh (baby daddy) was a marine and I remember he's eat REALLY fast because that's how they trained him. :confused3 I guess in war situations this ability comes in handy. At nice(r) restaurants in the real world, it's sort of embarrassing. This is one habit that is very hard to break them of. Good luck mama. Don't stress.

Allie- good for you on the run! :thumbsup2 You're making my bladder scream "uncle" just thinking of bouncing. We have a dog park here too. It's great for NICE dogs to socialize. Also, somehow our Farmer's Market (:lovestruc love FM!) has become a dogs on leashes hang out. I LOVE my dogs and they like to go by-by with us. Goldens are so loveable!

Anyone for Beer in the Rear chicken for dinner? I just bought the Sons of Paula Dean cook book in an effort to cook Southern, y'all. Last night was fried chicken, coleslaw, and corn bread (with corn in it). Tonight is Beer Butt chicken and corn on the cob. :cloud9:

Marita-- Mom's never stop worrying. That is what we do best.

UMA-- Count me in on the link. I love looking at open houses and model homes to get ideas too. Can't say I ever had Beer in the Butt Chicken. Your going to impress all your new neighbours when you move....:lmao:

Allie-- Hope the puppies paws are ok.

Lexi-- guess I will have to get me a facebook account in my name so I can see some of these pictures. Good Luck Emily on your musical. :cheer2:

Hope everyone is having a safe long weekend!!

Thanks Wendy and Nab!

I love my imaginary friends :grouphug:

I picked up on reading Twilight book2 again this afternoon, but I thiink I will take a break for a nap now

Peace out!:hippie:

CEL - I'm headed your way next week. I'm stayin' in that big pretty hotel in NashVegas. ;) I have connections and am staying in style for Motel 6 rates. :thumbsup2 I'm taking my mom and DD for a couple of days to celebrate mom's 70th birthday. Would love to meet with you, but Mom just wouldn't understand that I have this vegetable named imaginary friend. :confused3 Please don't get your feelings hurt. I'll still wave as I pass by. :wave2:

It's ok, Allie! I understand!

peej - I kinda like the kitten. he's kinda cute. But they might have more.
come down for free rent and I'll give you one.

melinda - yeah right. Breadman doesn't get a vacation from me. :snooty: i only said that because he's reading over my shoulder right now. hee.

we're in the parking lot next to the coffee shop.
cuz you have to actually BUY coffee to use their internet indoors.
He IS the cheapest man on the planet, after all. :sad2:

He would like me to tell you all that he IS spoiling himself since it is his birthday. he actually turned on the A/C! :scared1:

It might be because I threatened to leave last night. hee.
not really.

ok.
gotta go cuz the kids are antsy.
oh - and hayden woke up with the buerks this morning too. woo hoo! :woohoo:

Hi mom!

I almost am afraid to read any posts here cause I hate to beurks too........GROSS......makes me sick to be sick.......HEHEHEHE...

Megara and pops are outdoors .....last outing of the day and then she will have her bone and be good the rest of the night...

Today we went to the cemeterys and hubby actually laid down on our lots......I told him he was a kook......he said he didnt know if he wanted the left or the right side.......I tell ya he is nuts...we brought double purple and double white lilacs to all the cemeterys we know that had relatives.....two weeks ago we did fresh cut flowers to two of the cemeterys.......

Hope you all have a great weekend and safe weekend........peace

Beer butt chicken??! Interesting menu, Wendy! Please count me in on the house tour too.

Allie, sorry about your poor dog's feet. My daughter's dog Cash cut a pad really deep one time when she took him camping and hiking. Guess they need booties for running on stone. Cash LOVES going to the dog park though and has never had any problems with his feet there.

Our puppies are behaving themselves today except for shredding paper in the living room. We're keeping a close eye on them when they're outside until we get the fence fixed.

Peej, have fun at Sunnybrook!!!

E, what are you barbequing this holiday weekend? I bought some sirloin steaks from the Schwann's guy :thumbsup2

Marita, sorry you're stressing :grouphug: I have been having a relaxing day. Read a book and am going to get caught up on a couple tv shows tonight while DH watches the 300 :scared: Not exactly my kind of movie, but the costuming is "interesting"!

Hi, Nabbie, Lex, Lynette, Cel, pumba, Mony, Twink, Sandy, Rob, WT, DTD, Lil G, Lil Blue, Kay, Bloodhound, Steph, and Celery'sMama, et al!!!

I have a question for you ladies. I didn't think of this until today when I was pushing a heavy grocery cart. Should I be lifting heavy one year olds at our daycare? I need to lift each baby up and down from the chaning table. What are your thoughts? Thanks bessies.

HI, LB,

I really have no knowledge, but my gut instinct says you probaly should take it easy for a while.

I think you should be taking a break from any heavy lifting......just take care of YOU.......

Thanks gals. It did/ does feel tender from the stress of the cart . Early daycare retirement might be coming soon unless they can shuffle me some where else.

UT, I can send you some Ambien ;) . Glad the showing went well :goodvibes good luck!

BSG, sorry about your son. I hope things turn around.

Pum, did you pick the side that you sleep on, on your bed? I would.

Enjoy the extended weekend all :grouphug:

Heya MOOvers! Just a quick drive-by before I get myself to bed.

My smallish (15 people plus my DH, kids and Mom) cookout for tomorrow has ballooned into a larger affair with an additional 38 people expected to show up! I guess my Grandma called my aunt and insisted, "I always go to Lynette's for a cookout on Memorial Day weekend." Who could tell her no? She's nearly 90, and very strong-willed. So I had to run out to the grocery store and buy more food this afternoon. I have a horrible fear that a guest will reach for something while at my house, only to find that I've just run out. Ack! I'd die of embarrassment!

But I've already done most of the prep work. The yard looks pretty spiffy, the house is clean, and I've made most of the side dishes and desserts. Somebody please say a prayer that my 3 nephews don't tear my house apart, 'kay?

BBN, I almost forgot to thank you for the song you posted for me yesterpage. You know how I love me some Michael! Thanks!

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone! I'm off to dreamland...............

Lynette, EEK on all those extra people. But I have no doubt you will do great. By the way, we have no plans, mind if we join you? :rolleyes1

Oh, checking my phone today, I found out my new reading glasses are ready (like real prescrition vs drugsore), but I cant get them till Tuesday!
So 2 more days of squinting.
