H guys,

Just popping in with a funny story/problem I posted on the community board. I usually don't have anything very entertaining to share with you all, but this is sort of cute:
A calico cat occassionally shows up on our property (we have 18 acres) and our own cat, who usually chases away any other cats, has come to tolerate this little girl kitty. She won't let him too close and makes moaning noises if he tries to get within a couple feet of her, but they have sort of a friendship. In the last week I made the mistake of getting her to come out from under porches, outbuildings etc. and make friends with me. Now she's very friendly and loves to see me and have me pet her. I made mistake # 2 of feeding her. After that, she seems to be here pretty much all day every day and she slept on our porch the last few nights. I got tired of calling her "that calico cat" and decided she looks like an "Emily."
I picked up Emily and smelled of her and she smells like a cow barn. Since there is only one proximate cow barn, across the fields behind us, DH and I put her in a kitty carrier and took her there yesterday. We found a hired hand, explained about our guest cat, and pulled the carrier out of the back seat. He took one look and said:
"Yep, That's Stinky!"
We let Emily aka Stinky

out of the carrier and she pranced off to the barn, apparently happy to be home. After a few minutes of chatting with the farm hand, we went home for dinner.
About an hour and a half later DH looks outside and says, "OH NO."
You guessed it. Emily/Stinky was back on our porch. Sigh.
DH wanted to pack her up in the kitty carrier again this morning and take her home, but I figure what's the use? In an hour she'd probably be back.
What do we do now? Any suggestions?
