Happy Birthday 60th Pumba !!!

:dance3: :rockband: :cake: :bday: party: :cheer2:   :cool1: :yay:

Weather might not be great but you are!!! Glad you found your way to your thread it wouldn't be the same with out you. :goodvibes

You are NO Melinda, m'deer. :snooty:

Hey, at least Wendy tried!

Maybe those of us who are NOT Melinda should just default to Sid's "the collective you"

Moo, yes, it's cataracts, I keep getting it confused :confused3

Kay, cute kitten! Glad she and Tornado get along,

So far I have successfully avoided doing anything remotely useful, like cleaning, laundry or even work (which I successfully avoided yesterday too AHEM) I need to vacuum sometime today though.
A German saying, which my mom applied to me a lot:
"Morgen, morgen, nur nich Heute, sagen alle faule Leute"
Translation" Tomorrow, tomorrow, just not today, say all lazy people"
So there you have it.
I bum-layed yet again!

Just got back from Publix where I got a 12 inch Boar's Head Italian sub, which will last me for 3 days. With mayo and mustard, Provologne, lettuce, tomato, pickles, hot peppers, salt and pepper and oil and vinegar. :cool2: Why is there no food smiley here? And I picked up a small red potato salad and 3 small frozen quiches for sometime later in the next couple of weeks.
Can you tell I haven't eaten all day ;)

Oh, alright! Wendell, you get props for trying.

Marita, chalk up today as a mental restoration day. A day spent relaxing and indulging one's self makes one a happier, more peaceful human being.

Or some carp like that. ;)

I am debating what to eat for dinner too. I ate breakfast at about 8:30 this morning. A large iced latte. Now I'm hungry!

Thanks for providing me with appropriate reasons for failing housework yet again, my lap-top-loving bum-laying friend!

I would share my delicious Publix sub, but it's a bit far to pass from here to Boston....

We just watched the shuttle go up from our back yard ( well, we watched from the back yard, it actually went up from KSC). But a bunch of clouds on the horizon, so we didn't see much. Straight up was clear blue skies, but not where the shuttle went. Oh well. Wasn't the first time and won't be the last.

I think I will force myself to vacuum now before I eat dinner, cause if I eat first, it's probably a lost cause for today..........

I got your back, Marita!

I scrounged around in the kitchen, and ended up making myself a yogurt/fruit/granola parfait. Delish, and not horrible for me. But not exactly remarkable. Oh well.

I am now attempting to summon the willpower to fold the two loads of clothes that are waiting for me in the clothes dryers. So far, I got nothing.

I feel your pain!

I got about 1/2 the vacuuming done, and got sucked into watching Sex and the City repeats, and now Seinfeld.
But, I WILL finish the vacuuming. And I need to fold laundry too :furious:
But I might save that for after dinner and nap, or even for tomorrow ;)

I just took a shower and got dressed......today is my 60th birthday and the kiddos are coming to make me feel "SOOOOOOO GOOD" yah .....of course it is just a number.....I went to bed being 59 and woke up to being old.

party: :bday: party:

I just got back from the BBQ Cookout...there was way more food than 20 more poeple could have ate...lots of beer leftover and I was the Corn Hole champion of the Day....yeah

After finding out that I don't have ESP, and I didn't sign up that Mal needed the appropriate color coordinating tights for her dance recital, I spent the morning searching for an OPEN dance STUDIO that carried REVOLUTION CLASSIC PINK dance tights. We just got our assigned time for pictures TOMORROW and it's at 9am.

FOUND THEM! and they are only a shade pinker than the pair we already have. 2 weeks ago, Mal feel and ripped a whole in the pair we had that were acceptable.

I am washing the second from last load of laundry and I put away 5 loads. dH washed while I was running all over. He even washed our bedding. HMMMM?

Thanks for the update WENDY on MELINDA.

Happy Birthday PUMBA. I hope its a great day for you.

I booked a campground for 4th of July weekend. We are gonna camp out right next to Michigans Adventure. Spend the days at the park and just sleep in the tent. How's this sound?

Mony, GO Wings!

I am about to Go NAP!

My idea of camping is an RV, anything else other people can have!

Camping? No, thank you. :scared: My idea of roughing it is a hotel without room service. If the good Lord wanted me to sleep outside, He wouldn't have given us resorts. ::yes::

AMEN!!!

I am drug every flipping father's day weekend to a campsite with bathrooms every 1000 ft. and we stay in a TENT in our own filth and have to do stuff like hike, play volleyball, visit the beaver pond, spot moose and elk, eat s'mores, smell like smoke, take baby wipe baths, and have to sleep on an AERO BED like a barbarian. (I do have a funny peeing in a pull-up story though . I was skeer't of bears in the middle of the night.)

I would maybe like it more in an RV. One that has tv and electricity and a queensize bed. Even more if there's room service and a spa (but then it aint camping anymore).Wilderness Lodge is sort of roughing it, yes?

I do have an RV with a queensize bed , tv, bathroom ,even wireless at some. I still hate to camp! But my family loves it. The kids love camp fires, playgrounds and pools at campsites.

We just listed our trailer for sale though. Gas is way to much to pull a trailer anywhere. We wanted to go out west this summer as far as Britsh Columbia. It would cost $4,000 in gas. I could fly somewhere nice for that.

Lynette -- you said dryers , you have more then one dryer? If you do I am jealous, I am always waiting on that darn dryer.

NAB!!!! Good gracious, I forgot you in my FAILURE of a morning shout out!

Good Morning and forgive me! I suuuuuck at these things.

PUMBA you too, good morning! UGH!

I owe you a gift too! Good heavens where is my head? Let me go shopping in photobucket...

UMA -- I am not worried if I don't see my name in the shout out. Not good at shout outs myself. Now if I was MIA for a long time and no one noticed then I would be worried.....:lmao:

Did you have an open house yet?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUMBA!!!!!

I thought we'd go with Birthday Cupcakes this time since we've been on a cupcake kick lately!

Whaaaat??????? That is a TRAVESTY, I tell you what! You really MUST put your foot down, girlfriend! Any "vacation" that involves vermin and/or peeing in substandard conditions is really not a vacation at all, now is it?

Lynette -- you said dryers , you have more then one dryer? If you do I am jealous, I am always waiting on that darn dryer.

Yes, NAB, I did say dryers. I only have one, but since my mom has her own in her house, I often use hers and mine simultaneously to prevent the hamper overflow that I so dread. Having her live with us has its advantages....not the least of which is doubles of all major appliances. ;)

Hello, everyone!

Thanks, Wendy! I hope this post finds everyone well. I'm posting from SIL's house so no time to catch up.

Thanks to everyone for the sweet PMs. Last week was long, sad, and tiring but we got through it. I appreciate all your prayers and kind words. Keep praying for my friend and her family. There will be lots of hard days ahead for them.

The cable man came on Thursday to install my broadband and phone service and he was going to change my phone number. (We've had it for almost 20 years.) So he put a hold on it but the broadband is gone at home until the phone number deal is straightened out. Wednesday is supposedly the day. We'll see.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PUMBA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMY P! (whose birthday I missed)

See you all soon! :wave2:
