Hey, at least Wendy tried!
Maybe those of us who are NOT Melinda should just default to Sid's "the collective you"
Moo, yes, it's cataracts, I keep getting it confused![]()
Kay, cute kitten! Glad she and Tornado get along,
So far I have successfully avoided doing anything remotely useful, like cleaning, laundry or even work (which I successfully avoided yesterday too AHEM) I need to vacuum sometime today though.
A German saying, which my mom applied to me a lot:
"Morgen, morgen, nur nich Heute, sagen alle faule Leute"
Translation" Tomorrow, tomorrow, just not today, say all lazy people"
So there you have it.
I bum-layed yet again!
Just got back from Publix where I got a 12 inch Boar's Head Italian sub, which will last me for 3 days. With mayo and mustard, Provologne, lettuce, tomato, pickles, hot peppers, salt and pepper and oil and vinegar. Why is there no food smiley here? And I picked up a small red potato salad and 3 small frozen quiches for sometime later in the next couple of weeks.
Can you tell I haven't eaten all day![]()
Oh, alright! Wendell, you get props for trying.
Marita, chalk up today as a mental restoration day. A day spent relaxing and indulging one's self makes one a happier, more peaceful human being.
Or some carp like that.![]()
I am debating what to eat for dinner too. I ate breakfast at about 8:30 this morning. A large iced latte. Now I'm hungry!
Thanks for providing me with appropriate reasons for failing housework yet again, my lap-top-loving bum-laying friend!
I would share my delicious Publix sub, but it's a bit far to pass from here to Boston....
We just watched the shuttle go up from our back yard ( well, we watched from the back yard, it actually went up from KSC). But a bunch of clouds on the horizon, so we didn't see much. Straight up was clear blue skies, but not where the shuttle went. Oh well. Wasn't the first time and won't be the last.
I think I will force myself to vacuum now before I eat dinner, cause if I eat first, it's probably a lost cause for today..........
I got your back, Marita!
I scrounged around in the kitchen, and ended up making myself a yogurt/fruit/granola parfait. Delish, and not horrible for me. But not exactly remarkable. Oh well.
I am now attempting to summon the willpower to fold the two loads of clothes that are waiting for me in the clothes dryers. So far, I got nothing.
I just took a shower and got dressed......today is my 60th birthday and the kiddos are coming to make me feel "SOOOOOOO GOOD" yah .....of course it is just a number.....I went to bed being 59 and woke up to being old.
My idea of camping is an RV, anything else other people can have!
Camping? No, thank you.My idea of roughing it is a hotel without room service. If the good Lord wanted me to sleep outside, He wouldn't have given us resorts.

I do have an RV with a queensize bed , tv, bathroom ,even wireless at some. I still hate to camp! But my family loves it. The kids love camp fires, playgrounds and pools at campsites.
We just listed our trailer for sale though. Gas is way to much to pull a trailer anywhere. We wanted to go out west this summer as far as Britsh Columbia. It would cost $4,000 in gas. I could fly somewhere nice for that.
Lynette -- you said dryers , you have more then one dryer? If you do I am jealous, I am always waiting on that darn dryer.
AMEN!!!
I am drug every flipping father's day weekend to a campsite with bathrooms every 1000 ft. and we stay in a TENT in our own filth and have to do stuff like hike, play volleyball, visit the beaver pond, spot moose and elk, eat s'mores, smell like smoke, take baby wipe baths, and have to sleep on an AERO BED like a barbarian. (I do have a funny peeing in a pull-up story though . I was skeer't of bears in the middle of the night.)
I would maybe like it more in an RV. One that has tv and electricity and a queensize bed. Even more if there's room service and a spa (but then it aint camping anymore).Wilderness Lodge is sort of roughing it, yes?
