Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Nabbie, I'm happy to hear you're going on your cruise! You must have been able to finally find air fare :). I know how hard that first Christmas can be. We went to WDW the year my Mom passed away and it helped.

I am starting to want to plan my next WDW trip or a cruise, but I'm not sure about the timing... I need to renew my passport if I want to cruise.

hello dear lost friends....kinda of a pun in around about way...!

...fyi~ i', m not dead....or even retired, yet!

fyi..from time to time , i read your postings, just for all the good
vibes you all give/share. i can't express enough, so i will quote
from my professional background..."this/you guys" are the best
site here, barred none...& if i had the power , when some posters
are misbehaving esp., toward one another, & instead of infractions...
mandate them- to come here to learn the true meanings
of friendship. ..seldom do i ever express my direct feelings over
any open-form topics-- but 2 things spilling out here -- on a consistent
rate..."patience & compassion". sure , you can find many here
trying to "sell" those qualities ...but if you read a little into
their feelings....their rationalizations give 'um away. but here, they
simply are your trademarks, day by days.

as you know, i been spending most of my time learning about
the dvc gift i gave to my wife in 2009. i really had to put "efforts in",
mostly via posting "set up/research questions to get @ the truth-
the best kept secret/s......has more traps than it should. however,
it has been worth/$ it. but some of the things going on inside dvc
was very shocking -over the ethic line & some even "touching" many
legal issues ( not disney but certain individuals in different
positions. ) . as you know, i knew very little about this program...
but "learning" is a hobby of mine, regardless the topic.....

speaking of legal issues...remember that criminal neighbor i had
the "pleasure" dealing with? ......he is long gone. now "we"
all ...have our cci carry concealed permits....because you just never know.
that was appox. 5 years ago...& you might remember how he
was terrorizing the wildlife....( the game warden never back down
& was just as committed as i was- toward putting this criminal
in his place. ) i know many of my friends/family didn't understand
"why go thru" all this? , & just sell /find a new place to hunt. well
it is part of my constitution & protecting wildlife....not just
hunting. at the time, there were very little left of the wildlife
......but wait til i post pictures from last year game camera!
it even shocked me...to see not just one or 2 trophies
deer....but close to 20, & several are "world class" record
holders potential. there's more than deer...there a beautiful
red fox claiming our land as his own. you can't imagined
how happy they make me. yep, everything except maybe a
big foot yet. fyi...our local paper did a few stories about
hunters paying up toward $ 20,000 to "hunt" these special
trophies..bucks....we have about a "dozen" ---it's crazy to
see the camera catching them together. i don't do it
for the $, but out of respect for nature."they-wildlife" -
needs a place to live.

...our "big news" for us this past year, we added another 65
acres to the same property. it was from an auction. "going in", my
concern was over the fact the land has 2,000 feet of road
frontage & "good location." that frontage used to be an
apple orchard. it is over grown & "people free"...prefect conditions
for wildlife/& critical for deer. there were 3 developers @ the auction.
yuck! needless to say, it took our very last bid to preserve this
land.

have "wheat thin" stop by? he remind me one of the best thing
in doing any disney vacations...meeting others with the goal
toward developing family values. the thing that "wheat thin" demonstrated
in his trip reports, his insights in this area. i still can "hear" the
bell from his surry bike. ding-ding. liked a musical instrument.

well i was going to write a trip report on the dvc site but there
are too many over there "outside" our dvc realm. what i learn
most from this dvc site here, there is a wide range of dvc owners-
& different groups- & the majority here are rci owners using the
dvc connections. what many are doing makes interesting reading.
often what they advised , they don't follow. one "see" this by
comparing their comments, over the similar topics but from
"different" threads. i also checked different disney sites~but the same
people are posting there under different names.

nabby~g, sounds like you have been thru some tough family times.
it is good that you are the voice of reason...every family needs
someone for a compass....& you have always been impressive here.
not surprising to hear from your fellow dissy~ friends "rallying" around
you.

psst, yep i still making up my own words...remember, "in~deeds"?

disney is an amazing place of sights & people.but if you are just going to
"do stuff", oh mine! you are missing out on too much!!! bring all your
available sensory expectations & push them further from the value system
you been developing all your life. and don't be afraid to share all your new
discoveries with all you encounter with. isn't "celebrating" just an excuse
to do something that makes you happy?

now i know i am expressing more de~tails than any other thread
would tolerate, but that only because it also a reflecting
how golden~this little community~ you all created here. it always
been a honor just to "break" in with the happy thoughts being share.

common sense vs critical thinking. because this is
something i am practicing all the time, & one
of the beliefs i live by ...but also, turned out a life "saver",
this past spring-- for "me."

it goes back to reasons "why" one should take time out
to really 'look" @ their realities instead of taking them for
granted ....and /or accepting them without checking for
alternatives. in a split second, using all these feelings
allowed "me" to "react" in a way, against common sense-
switching to "critical thinking" so i escape from a life-
threatening situation...without a scratch.

reality~is a interesting/funny concept. why? i think it is a school
subject worth studying for the benefits it can give a person in
life. it also a factor that drives people crazy - in all kinds of
ways. why? see? why we need to add to primary/higher
education. because it is involve in human dynamics but also defines
the world we live...& beyond. it can be as solid as a piece
of concrete....and/or fluid of water-even taking on different
forms...ice, water.even vapors. black/white &
all the greys that we recognize but even more--those we do not.
1+1=2? most of the time, but there are the "exceptions". and those
little differences ( tiny & tiniest of details )... can bring forth the
most unexpected results. we are blessed with 5 sensory receptors ~
sight /hearing/smells/touch/ taste. they are your functional tools from
human dynamics. exchanging feelings- "flow" back &
forth but establishing their meanings can be common sense &/or
beyond "face value", --often refer as a critical thinking process.
we know many things & often it is easy to verbalize quickly
all the angles we using @ any given time....but setting up a new
knowledge realm /structure....is more challenging/ & you "lose"
those that do not practice 'higher learning" in their daily thinking.
( sorta funny as these types of choices, elicit a defensive
response by labeling the person....so they can be denied).

any time , trying to communicate some of these topics/subjects-
require the lecturing approach--in "order", to add/include/embellish/
mold/fit/ ..all the words, into "tiny dots"..slowing/steady building
the pictures in the mind so that we all "know" what each other are
feeling. ( growing up, i heard God is great many times &
often , without any other terms...but making others happy
in ways we sometimes can't explain...comes from "this"
higher level of thinking.....is just a single example "how"
God is great...because all the "parts" to reach this understanding-
in facts, was a system "invented". how neat is this? "us"-human beings
have the ability to understand another person's feelings? that's
the bottom line.
*** plus without having to go thru their experience/s....giving us
the option for compassion & printing our memories...
for future "dis-closures." and all any of us have to
do to possess any/some of these highest levels /gold
standards~'human dynamics for our own personal
usage...is just to "try".

really all i am doing is explaining what i see you all doing all the
time, & the levels being reach by supporting one another
simply by caring. easy-peasy, but try finding it on any other
threads here, even from the beginning & or on other sites.
snot so much.

so when describing all the factors. 2 people can explain the same
event in 2 different versions & both be correct. how?
well 1+1 does not always equal 2, if ever .( in life, i am
totally amazed how many fail to grasp all the stimulus
that are available , where all they have to do
is effort & pause.. mix with feelings & adding , a "pinch"
of thought. instead wandering- from one misery to another,
seem the most desirable....why? is the part beyond me. i
have heard fear of changing but whenever i come across
a new.better ways to improve my chances for desired
outcomes..."feels" stronger than the fear of change. )

sorry, i am a boring person...because in nature, & human
dynamics are easy to express in speech but extra difficult
in writing a response too.

what..a presentation?!! well, it is needed...to explain my
greatest gift this year...being here. like i said, i made a horrible
mistake...when i pulled out in front of a truck. a school bus
coming in the other direction was distracting me, & i did not
see the truck..until it was a second from slamming into
my door. the truck driver never reacted. the common sense
thing was to hit the break but as soon as i did, the gravel only
made me slide , worsening the situation. there was no time
to "think" , & even less options......all i remember "hitting the
breaks" was adding to the problem....so i went from that
to "flooring" the gas pedal...i needed the engine to burn
the gas 2 seconds beforehand, and still expected getting slammed
but hoped not into me , directly. what i got ..was extremely
lucky......the car "flew" straight into a neighbor front yard,
and missed the truck. whew! & i wasn't even late for work!

one added observation....goes a long way to show how "easy"
smart people can do stupid stuff.

moo? girl? how about those buckeyes?!#1...i guess you be rooting
for them as they represent the big 10? been wanting to add
a few comments last year....fyi, we were in d~land during last
year christmas/rose bowl & ran into many msu's fans. but
what i wanted you know, the kid that caught the winning
td pass in last year championship game....against osu,
was kid from the my high school. i think m~school, from up north
....should have kept both the last 2 coaches...sometimes
you have to "build" a program.& they are in a re-building
phase ever since their legend coach left.can't understand
why they don't recognize that factor...and seeking immediate
results. "their" real problem, is self evident to me & it
has to do with their school next to them...msu! 35 msu
players are from o-h-i-0. ( not every player can go to osu,
and they used to go up north, making them a powerhouse,
& "the game" very, very interesting!

as for the my dvc trip report, i was going call it ..."the dvc fubu
disney adventures report"...combining several trips/the most
interesting encounters ...we experienced. but i think the things
we look @ & the ways we do our family vacations would be
too much "de~tails" for the dvc people on this site. oh,
what is a "fubu" , just in case you are not familiar with the
label?...."for us, by us". ho, ho, ha! i thought it was a lil'
funny.

again, i can't express enough~ as you can already tell~ i am
happy to be here this holiday season!

ooops, almost forget.....sure hope everyone "here" have
a very nice visit from santa , and happy & exciting new
year. unlike lucy~ from peanuts, i got what i wanted for
christmas...,"real estate"!!! merry christmas!:yay:

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY FRIENDS HERE AND THE ONES THAT LURK!

Christmas was hard but I got though it with great family and friends. Just finished up with my husband's side. Cooked a full turkey dinner. Haven't done that in a long time. Finally made my mom's stuffing right but couldn't tell her. My SIL and I were trying it again this year because we never get it right. Must ask her how hers turned out.

My brother was too sick to celebrate with us , he is so on our minds the whole night. But for the ones that turned out we did manage to have a good time. The little ones saved the day with there talk of Santa.

The present I got my sister was a hit . I found a basket that looked like Frosty's hat. Wasn't sure what to put it in but while out shopping found indoor snowballs. I put 30 of them in there to fill it (that is how big this hat is). Since we were at my mom's and all the breakables were gone and just mainly furniture we had the best snow ball fight ever. Everyone was laughing so hard.

Hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas. My cruise is my present plus a nice gift card to buy new clothes if I wish. Way to much candy present to add to the candy I already bought for guest.

Lil G What a great present to see post again. I must say you scared me when talking about that accident.

Nab, what a great final gift from your mom to finally get her recipe right! I am still waiting for that day, LOL. But my son is home for a week (unless his sister keeps steeling him) and I will attempt some again. Who doesn't love liver and onions? My kids request it, LOL.

I am so over doing this big family holiday party every year. I thought it would be easier with hubby retired, but NO, instead he spent more time shopping!! He spent at LEAST 8 hours wrapping presents!! Hopefully, maybe next year I will be retire too, so we shall see how it goes then. I am in favor of skipping this whole gifting mess and go on a cruise!

Lil' G, so nice to see you again. I see you are a verbose as ever, LOL. Happy you and the family are doing well.

Marita- big parties are a lot of work. Only had a few extra yesterday and it was stressful.

Got the stuffing right but screwed up on the gravy. We have an open concept kitchen family room ...hate it. I could have fixed it on my own but of course people have to try and help . I'm nervous cooking for people as it is having people watch is terrible. :lmao:

Kids want to go out for Boxing day sales. Do you even have this? I guess it is like your Black Friday sales only it is after Christmas , store trying to get rid of inventory before the new year.

Hi, Lil' G! Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! Nabbie - I know this was a hard one for you :( It was our first since losing my father-in-law... We are at my daughter and son-in-law's in North Carolina and went to my daughter's in-laws' for Christmas day. It was nice to see them again.

I'm having a lot of asthma issues due to all the scented products and candles at my daughter's house, so I went out and bought a big HEPA air filter, which has helped a little, but I'm still having some breathing problems. I think we'll probably leave a bit earlier than originally planned. I was pretty tempted to take the car and head down to WDW by myself for the rest of the time I have off work, LOL. But it is still an 8 hour drive from here, plus finding a last minute hotel room would likely be difficult.

We do have some after Christmas sales, but not anywhere near as major as our Black Friday sales.

Marita, my hubby has no clue about how much work it is to put on a big family gathering! We had a lot of people for Thanksgiving and I was exhausted for days afterward. It was the cleaning beforehand that was more stressful. At least my daughter helped with the cooking. I plan to be retired by this time next year as well.

Nabbie, are you back from the cruise? How was it?

My daughter and SIL got a Staffordshire Terrier (aka Pit Bull) puppy after our visit. Sure hope she gets along with Cash and turns out to be mild mannered.

/
Yes I'm back. Still up doing the wash.

This was number 9 for us and it seems so off. Not sure if it was the location out of Miami or we were just worn down from Christmas.

Lots Spanish people on this cruise too. We didn't enter in the Lobby of the ship but the 4th floor.

Hubby was catching a cold too before the trip. Nicholas got hit hard with one the second day. He has a nasty cough and thought we would be banished to our room but were not , we stayed there a lot on our own. Hannah got a fever one day too. Hubby and Nicholas went to the doctor today and both have a chest infection. Both kids didn't go to school today.

Hannah didn't even go to the clubs she was so tired , went right to bed after dinner most nights. New Year's Eve is the only night she stayed up.

They gave us a 16 x 20 lithogram of Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming saying Celebrate 2015 . A box of chocolates with a big solid chocolate Mickey head on top of the box. All the crew came out with trays and trays of champagne and apple cider just before the count down that was cool to see. And of course they had fireworks that night.

I am the only one that is still healthy, waiting for the shoe to drop since I am home and really tired out too. Everyone is coughing .

Spend the day in Fort Lauderdale airport yesterday and only got home at 3:30 am that will do it too you. I waved at you Marita when they said flying over Orlando.

Moo-- My nephew has a pit bull and he is so gentle with the other dog he has and two cats. Hopefully the two dogs will be friends.

A late HAPPY NEW YEAR'S to you all!!

Nab, so sorry you had less than a magical time and all the sickness. Hope all is well soon.

Just think of it as a new start to a new year. Thanks for waving :goodvibes

My son has a pit bull puppy, she is so sweet, and a half pit and half Lab mix, both are so great and loving.

I ended up taking almost 2 1/2 weeks off work,it was great, I didnt have to go anywhere or do anything after the big party (and I didnt, and have horrible nails and undyed hair to show for it, LOL). It was back to work for me today though.

Oh, we ended up buying a wedding dress for Nicole this Saturday. She will look beautiful. Did I mention she wants her brother to be her Man of Honor? That will be different LOL. But it wont be till December, so a while away yet.

Stay healthy, Nabbie! Sorry your family was sick :( Three of my coworkers had/have that nasty strain of flu and I think my sister may have had it too... I am way past ready for a cruise or Disney trip! But I need to get around and renew my expired passport soon.

I went back to work Friday. Fortunately, I wasn't called for jury duty this week. They'll probably call me later this month at THE most inconvenient time, like when I have a work meeting or training or on the MLK holiday, LOL!

Marita, glad to hear your daughter found a wedding dress. That always takes a while. I think it is very cool that she wants to have her brother stand up with her!

I really hope that the puppy turns out to be gentle and gets along with my grand dog and our dogs (if they ever visit us again after our awful Christmas stay, that is).

One of my nieces got engaged Christmas Eve, so we'll be having another wedding in our family in the next year or so :)

Happy New Year!

Thought I'd stop by and check in with you all.

Nice to read about the wedding planning, trips, etc. I'm happy things are settling down and returning back to normal.

Just getting through my first complete year of teaching my CI class. Having fun and learning!

Smiles!

Mony-- Glad to see your still teaching and loving in. Not sure if I would have the patience for that job.

The kids are gearing up for exams this week. Hannah's first time so she is a little stressed out.

This is Nicholas last year so I am trying to wrap my head around him actually leaving next Sept for school somewhere. He has applied to 5 different school all about 5 hours away from home.

Since we had a rough New Year's Trip we decided not to cancel the March Break one on the Fantasy. This will be the last time Nicholas can do the kids clubs as well, he turns 18 in May so we went for.

it helps that my brothers sold his house and will be taking over my Mom's house at the end of the month. So some money will be coming our way. A trip and the rest for the kids schooling.

Moo-- that was the last one we had on hold. I saw you asked that question.

Marita -- how is it going finding you a dress or something for the wedding. Do they have everything set already? Colours, themes?

Nab, glad you are able to take another trip. It's strange when kids leave home, but you get used to it. My son visited over Christmas, and went out one night. By 2AM I was still up and worrying. I even texted him "are you OK?". When he finally got home at 2:30AM I said "that is why adult kids shouldn't live at home" LOL
We got a dress for Nicole, $1K, eeek. But no themes or colors yet, the wedding isn't till December and it will outdoors, which worries me to no end. Maybe I can talk her into a venue instead of her FIL's backyard, we will pick up the bill, I just dont want the whole wedding spoiled by everybody freezing with no place to go it its cold or raining, KWIM?

In other news, I got a new boss, but she is good so far, and a new challange at work which has been keeping me really busy, I mean nights and weekends, but I am enjoying fixing broken processes. But now it's time for a break and maybe a nap..

PS: Hi Mony, nice to see your here and glad you are enjoying your work

Hello Moo'vers...Its me

Had the dumps again during the Holidays...maybe next year we can go on a trip someplace and have the holiday in january...that would be good I think..

SO Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanuka...Happy New year..
I think I got them all..
we are planning a trip to the house of the mouse in May...and our granddaughter and her hubby are going to Disney for their First anniversary...they were at the Swan for their honeymoon but she wants DISNEY..all the way..

Waiting here for hubby to yell...lets go and get pizza...but he is dosing in his chair..

Hope you are all well and ready for 2015...
I do miss you all

Marita- I would be scared to have an out door wedding too. But they can be very nice. Did she get a princess dress or a mermaid style one? They all seem to be strapless these days too.

So I guess you are not retiring anytime soon there. Glad you like your new boss.

Pumba -- Here's hoping 2015 is a good one for us all. Come around more often.

Nab, she got a more princess style one, but not strapless, it has lace all the way up to the neck. It's very pretty with lace and beads (it should be for $1K) I also worry how dirty it will get in the grass. But you of course cant tell her anything!

I am still thinking retiring sometime this year, no sure when yet. I would be fine with working if it were not for the long drive every day. We will see....

Pumba, nice to see you over here.

I think this is a link to her dress: http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collections/Bridal-Collection/2430/?pg=7 Make it bigger to see the details. May not be the exact dress, but similar.

Nabbie, I'm happy to hear you're going to be cruising again! And that the estate issues are being resolved :). I'm sure that is a huge relief for you! Sure wish I could be on that cruise!!! I checked out the itinerary and it would be a little long and pricey for me, at this late date, darn it! My vacation time is depleted right now and I still need to renew my passport... I am toying with the idea of a trip to WDW either during Flower or, more likely, Food & Wine Festival.

Mony and Pumba, good to see you!

Marita, the wedding dress is beautiful! I found with my daughter that it was just best to let her handle her own wedding arrangements. She had a backyard wedding with the reception in a tent in NC in late October. It was a little rainy and chilly, but it mostly worked out fine. Not how I would have done it, but when they're a little older and more independent when they marry, they're going to do what they want anyway!!!

hi guys....sorry not immediately...following up, but been fighting
colds/flu/sinus infections. yuk! & iam not still well.

....& thanks for putting up with my lecturing...i know it not good
internet stuff..but it is like i am 'interacting" directly, face to face
...& "speech" makes it "good conversation" ....if i just "hit" the
high lights.....it would make no sense.

the jimmy v foundation & his famous speech, talks about taking time
out everyday, taking time in "thought"....something i've been doing
all my life. and if you all been keeping track...i sure have some
very interesting adventures ....many i would have never "chosen"
on my own....like that neighbor problem....but i never question
of it, i believe there are individual plans & we have the equipment
via being gifted if we trust in our faith. furthermore, when you
rely on your faith, you are rewarded with blessings. i can say that
becos...my whole life is a testimony.....the stinkers i have encountered
even on this site, fails to recognize....faith is a guide & one of
its traits , is acting as a protector....they think they are attacking
my knowledge...but it isn't mine, so they are frustrated when
they miss and /or defied.

like when i work with patients....i make it clear my insights are
based on a knowledge way above me. however, i refer to "it"
for one very simple reason...it is a knowledge worth learning,
because it gives you the power to solve your problem
and bring great fortunes to your life. * in the beginning, i
never thought medical science had anything to do with faith
& feelings toward God. now as i am looking back & all the
miracles....i have seen/been part of.....they are ! directly
connected.

it liked when i took on the soap box derby....i had to invest
time & $$$. i flt it was a great program i wanted children
in our community to have..& hose that normally could not
afford....what happened, the more i gave , the more others
gave me. today, whenever those young adults see me,
they come over to thank me.

my previous comments....giving high praise to this group..based
on how your interacting & the amazing input you share without
thinking twice. "think" where i work....will help show how precious
what this thread has to give...funny, i remember how it got started
with humor and welcoming anyone to share their feelings.

..when we were @ d.~land, i did the peter pan ride just to
get a pecticular picture...i struck up a conversation with a mother
who had a litle daughter dressed in princess outfit. i shared the days
when we did this with our daughter. back /& forth we talked about
our expectations.....& such. what i learn, she had a very rough
pregnancy --prior few miscarriages...& about to give up/
told by doctors that she never could....her lil' miracle. to me, it
is lil'stories..like this, the true meaning for the disney parks. all
anyone, really, need to do is pay attention & a will-a-ness to share.

like a lot of the same stuff being found here.

..oh, i met a lady in our medical department. she has never
been to any d-park.....but was working on going. her husband
int he military..never had children. but she was able to recall
her grandparents home & some very family guests that
used to visit.... & they did vacations all the time. their
special guests....were walt & his wife. they have pictures
together, pictures that they plan to keep within the family.
it impressed me, because if you read the d-land board -
all the time , people want to go to the club 33 , because
it seen as being something to walt....even though he
was never there ( if i am reading them correctly ).
when she was a little girl, remember walt playing
with her & sharing meals..in her grandparents. that's
life....& just one illustration....how magically it can be.

the way i see it, all the properties make up just the
destination...but to experience the real magic , you
have to welcome the encounters around you....so
be careful ignoring the fellow guests that are
also sharing the same destination....you might create
a memory to treasure.

oh, happy, happy new years...i can say, i always
feel happy reading here!

ok, i haven't done this for awhile but here's the deer
pictures...when that idiot was scaring them outta there,

ok..notice the date? 2110, wanta see them from last year?

* compare his neck to the picture above it. ( the same deer-
see? the effects of the "rut"..hormones,,,,& how dangerous they
can be.

this is just a baby...but to me , the most impressive one yet...
see? how big his base/antlers are? he going to be near record
holder.....

the one bog boy..noticed he has a "big gut"..he's the boss. the
other ones...is a very young deer 3/4 years. but what a nose!
i call him "rudolph"...he has a twin too. i know this...because
i saw all of them together.

Great pics Lil g. Pumba will love those.

My right leg and hip have been hurting since I came home. Thought I did too many stairs on the cruise . Went to the doctor yesterday and he sent me for an x-ray. Said it might me a pinched nerve or arthritis in my hip. That is all I need, here I thought I was getting buns of steel and doing myself good. :lmao:
