We still have sediment in the water ...so we are using bottled water for drinking and coffee ...
should be gone i a week...but it is a bother to do this..

Marita..you and your hubby and your daughter look fantastic...I think those glow thingies are the best...hahahaha..

We are doing our planning for Disney in May...Our granddaughter and her FIANCE" are going too...looking for plane fare from Maine to there...

yes she got her engagement ring yesterday...still a secret until she goes to class tomorrow and shows her bestest friends....IT IS gorgeous...an emerald but with a radiant cut in the middle and two traps on the side and then little ones going down...it is just gorgeous...Scott picked this type out and then it was made...made to order...hahaha...she was so excited...of course he said she cried...she was thinking that he would propose in Disney in front of the Castle..but she is floored...and big smile here...

Turkeys are on sale today and they were already sold out...tomorrow they will have more in...49 cents a pound is a good bargain...we will get some little ones 10 lbs for regular eating and we have a 21 for turkey day...I love turkey and stuffing any time of the year...will have to make sure that I buy a carton of cranberry sauce just in case we need it for a meal...ROFL..j/k...

hope you all have a great day ...and my hubby was in the Navy, my brothers Air Force, my bil navy....and hubbies father was in WW 11...we have his purple hearts and also a pair of wooden shoes that he wrote on at every destination he was at ...its to remember where he was when he arrived at a different local...very impressive ...

My goodness the beautiful weather we had yesterday...wish it could stay like this all winter. But it is going to drop like a rock overnight they say and back into the deep freeze.

I'm heading out to look at bathroom stuff. I hate decorating. Can't even pick a darn shower curtain so I can get an idea what colour I would like on the walls. How sad is that. Hannah wants a monkey one, Nicholas wants a periatic table like Bang Theory and I want something nice and matches everything.

Thanks for the comments on the pic, Blue Martini was great, I also had some wine and the biggest shrimp I have ever seen (and I have seen a ton of them). DD actually took the pic and posted it from hubby's phone, he wouldn't know FB if it bit him, LOL.

This morning I volunteered to sort donated shirt for Disney. I didnt last long. Once the say move to sorting to stacking boxes on pallets, I was out of there. Im too old for that stuff...

Last night the Dog was not up to par..(NO MORE ANIMALS) and we were awake off and on all night...she had gas and then she had an anxiety attack...HONEST...she was huffing and puffing like she does during a thunder storm...NO MORE ANIMALS>>...
Hubby got up and laid on the floor with her for a few ...that didnt work and she would roam the hallway and our bedroom...ENOUGH...

I am drinking my coffee and wondering ...what can I do today...yesterday did some housework...made cupcakes...(ate three cupcakes and a big slice of the cake pancake size...)..I know I did wrong...but my frosting is so good...HAHAHA..then I took a walk down the road...about a mile ..with wind gusts blowing me around...sun was out but still very cold...I stopped and talked to the alpacas that are on a farm down there...a black and white one was interested in me...he and I talked for a bit...I loved it..

today have to figure out all the billing for the place..(our house) and make sure that all of them are set up for direct withdrawal...HOPE SO...I am getting sick of the messing around bit...

Nab I cringe at the thought of decorating, I usually tell Tim that is his job. Our house inside looks plain, simply because I'm afraid I will just make it look wrong.

Just got back from the Christmas parade in town. It was beautiful weather for it. Sun and slightly warm temps. Hannah was happy she got some candy canes handed to her. She thought she was too old for them to come to her instead of the little ones.

Mony-- Hubby does the outside lights and I usually have to do the rest. The kids are all excited when it comes to the tree but tire of it quicker these days. I end up finishing that too not to mention having to take it all down in a few weeks.

I have one Christmas present so far. Remember I used to start in Oct. or even Sept. if I saw something someone would like. Dec. is a bad memory month for me so it is harder to get into. Hannah does keep me going and has more excitement about Christmas to make me smile. Right down to her Christmas sweater with a monkey on it that she got last year that she is wearing right now.

You guys are all gearing up for Thanksgiving and Black Friday this week. Not sure I would do the Black Friday thing. Looks scary on TV when we see the news.

Took the turkey out of the freezer so it will be thawed for next week...I have made a list but DANG if I can find it...
Hubby makes the big pie and I do the other two..well one...cause my daughter is bringing the apple one...phewwwww..

The weather today is sort of nice but with a chill in the air...cause it is only in the 30s...the kids and hubby are out hunting with our son and the gang...Hope some one gets one...I love venison more then the moose..

I did figure out what bills are going on direct withdrawal so I wont have to think about it...not getting a check every thursday is confusing..so we dont have money in our hand unless we go to the credit union and do the check thing or take out money..so I have to stay on top of what comes and what goes...oy oy oy..

Oh yah hubby made a Crystal Palace reservation for May...Kait and Scott are wicked excited about it...I am too...I love Disney..

Mony, I'm with you on the decorating. I would skip Christmas all together if I could. I think it's mostly due to the stress of cooking for a lot of people on CHristmas Eve, but hubby insists on it. It's the only party of the year for us.

Not sure what is happening next week. We may be invited over to my nieces house, DD got a text inviting her, but I dont know if that includes the parents. I would assume so, we usually are invited, but I dont want to be presumptious. So either we go there or just stay home, Im not doing anything at home. DD and her BF are invited to 3 different places, so it will just be hubby and I if we stay home.

Meanwhile we have a mini pot luck at All Star, I took the easy way out and am bringing a pie from Publix If we are going to nieces house, I need to bring a dish and also for a potluck at work next month. I found a recipe for creamed spinach I want to try, so I want to make it this weekend to see how it is. I also have a recipe for a very rich green bean casserole, but then a lot of people already bring those.

If only I could get up the energy to go shopping. I hate shopping!!

morning all..
IT is quiet this morning..Kait is getting ready to go back up north for her 12 o clock class ...then she has classes tomorrow and then off for the week...they are having a luncheon at Scotts house and then they will travel here and have dinner with us...

Yesterday took a walk with my neighbor...we did the 3.7 walk and I felt great...a little tight in my back muscles...(two hills did me in) and this morning my blood glucose was 101...that is fantastic to me...even though last night hubby and I went to Margaritas...I love their chips and salsa...and then chicken chimmi...but I only ate half of that...so I did good...will have the rest for lunch today..
SO today I will try to get a walk in..even if my neighbor isnt around..

Made two reservations for our May trip...One to Crystal palace and one to Hollywood and Vine fantasmic PKG....we love Crystal Palace...
Will think if we need any more or just do the counter service ones...they have some pretty good choices at some of the parks...so we will see..

We had another nice day yesterday. Cold in the morning but pretty nice by noon so I can handle that.

Finally started my Christmas shopping. Only because my sister told me what my niece wanted.

Have to wait now for the floor guy to come measure the bathroom. At least I know what floor I want. We are just down to finding a vanity and mirror. Oh I guess a light too. I did mention I hate decorating....

Moo -- Thanks for sharing. Loved all the country touches. So glad the weather was good for you , it could have been really bad that weekend.

Well Hubby is in destruction mode in the bathroom, we were going to hire someone but the cost was to major so he said to me , I can do that. My hubby is no handyman so I just hope he doesn't hurt himself or my walls. He has to take a bulk head down to make the shower higher.

Well it is report card today, will it be bad or good. Nicholas is promising me it is his highest marks on a report card ever.

Nabbie and Pumba - Thanks for the nice comments! I was kind of disappointed that I shared the slideshow with several of my friends yesterday and only heard back from one of them, but maybe they didn't watch it last night.

I do agree that the photographer captured the love, happiness, and overall feel of the day, but he really needs to know how to photograph larger people in a more flattering way and to do some creative cropping! I will do some extensive cropping of the photos I have printed once we receive the photos digitally (we paid extra for the digital rights)!

taking a few minutes before we start the " BIG PIE" ...then banana bread and the pumpkin pie...if I do that tonight ...tomorrow is the turkey stuffing...and sides..and we eat at five...that way I dont have to get up at the crack of dawn to put it in...

Congrats Mommy P ! Maybe another girl... I come from a family of 6 kids so it is great to have lots of family. But as a mom , two is enough for me. Teen years are killing me but everytime I see a new baby those feelings of wish I would have had another.

Moo-- Love all the new pictures you posted over there too. The one of you and hubby is really nice.

Didn't do much today. It has been one of those days where I should be doing something but really don't feel like doing anything and that won out.

every one else went hunting and I vegged today...it was a peaceful day...I did finish up the rest of the thanksgiving mess...and a load of dishes...ate pie and more pie for lunch...I know I was bad...but if the pie goes fast ...then I wont have to eat it anymore...at least not until the next big day..

So what is her name on fb...I need to see how the kids look now..7 kids is a big amount of kiddos...yikes .. I too came from a family of six...four girls and two boys...

I am going to put in some moose steaks with aluminum foil and make a foiled tent and onion soup mix and a can of mushroom soup with water...and foil it up and cook on low for a few hours...hopefully it will taste good...the moose in some cuts was TOUGH>..

you should see the burn on my arm...that hot carrot did a number on me...it stuck to my inside of my arm and before I could get the pan down and the carrot off me it burnt me good..I know...nimrod marie..hahaha..
