Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Mony, yes, the bridge to AoA will be open. Take a walk over and look around, it's a really fun place to look at.

My work team got a chance yesterday to go over for a test meal in the foodcourt. It was very good, but the usual disney prices . I had the Mongolian stir fry that came with 2 sides (I had rice and some spinach/cheese side) and naan bread, a guava twist pastry, and a large soda (actually just water, but the guy rang it up as a soda). It was $19.76!!! Luckily I didn't have to pay, or I would not have been happy, I am a cheapscate at heart, LOL.

We also got a chance to see the Cars area, even though it wont be open for another few weeks, it is really amazing.

Thought I would share some picture of my front gardens with you. It took the last few days to get it looking good again. We had to pull two bushes out because they were half dead. Some insect got them. They looked like the biggest bush by the porch.

My clemitis finally bloomed nice after a few years of nothing.

Looks fantastic, Nabbie!

Sorry I've been MIA. Busy week at work, but we're closing in on approving a big cleanup project next week.

I'm SO happy about the long weekend. I really need to catch up on my rest.

How is the knee doing Moo?

Your long weekend is this weekend right. Hope your having the nice weather we are having.

My knee is coming along. I'm still putting cold packs on it a couple times a day and taking a pain pill before I go to bed. There must be something about sleeping in a waterbed that causes it to ache :( One more week of PT and they evaluate whether I need more. But I'm pretty much to the 130 degree bend they want me at, so that's good! I'm mainly doing strengthening now.

We are having nice weather. It was rainy earlier today but was fine when I went out to get groceries. It's supposed to be pretty hot the next couple days.

The PT told hubby once years ago that the water bed actually helped him move easier in the AM...we have been without the water bed after being in it for 20 years.. we are almost ready to get a new one...

Yesterday was birthday for my sil at the lake ..then a three hour recital of our grand daughters...she was so wicked cute..
Today is our anniversary ..so breakfast out this am and then have to go to walmart to get some more pool stuff...geesh..

have a good day my friends

I can rent a house for 100.00 a night, including tax. There is a deposit, but it is refundable. 700.00 for a week.

Renting this house for a week that has 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private pool, washing machine and dryer, full furnishings, towels, linens, dishes and utensils. A/C, game room, internet and cable and 10 min drive from WDW including gas and paying to park for 5 days at the theme parks is still cheaper than 6 nights and two rooms at ***. Pop costs even more.

I can even cook simply at the home and save even more and not purchase food in the parks. Plus the home is 5 mins away from most stores like walmart.

I think for the first time we will not be staying on property.

FYI: I had 4 codes: 30% off any resport stay, free dining that starts at the end of September that I can't use, free water parks and more option for tickets only and some offer that is available to the general public. Unheard of!

Monica..sounds like a deal to me...

Today has been a busy busy day...we ate out for breakfast ...then came home and hubby played with the chemicals in the pool..we are almost there..NOT QUITE but almost..its not sparkling blue like our neighbors but it is getting there...will be glad when we figure out this whole process..

I just had butter crunch ice cream and omgoodness...delish...one time I went to a ice cream place and I asked the girl for butter crotch ice cream.....I almost died...of course now the family teases me about it STILL..and that was many years ago

see ya tomorrow my friends

Mony, sounds like that would work great for you. Reading this makes me wonder why anybody wants to stay on site, LOL.

Moo, glad your knee is doing better

Nab, your yard looks great.

Pumba, get a new waterbed!

Not much to report here. Budgets are starting, so I will be busy for a while, thank goodness. I'm working from home tomorrow, which is much better than driving in. ALthough I already did a bunch this weekend, so now I feel guilty if I sneak out tomorrow to get an oilchange or go to the grocery store. Guess I'll get over it, LOL.

Hope you all have a great holiday (except Nab, great day to you)

Hope you all enjoy your long weekend.

We had a huge thunderstorm this morning that woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep. I have been up since 5:00. Power went out just enough to knock the clocks out too. Hate when that happens.

I am sure a nap will be in order later today when kids are in school. Hubby will be sleeping too since he worked night shift last night I can just crawl back in with him.

Suppose to be really hot and humid today with change of more thunderstorms today and tomorrow. Good day to stay in.

I do believe that we will get a water bladder sooner then we thought...BUT that mattress and it is only the mattress..no box spring thingie...was 800...we put it in the waterbed that he made in 1980...I remember that day so well...when we put it together and filled it up...32 years ago and we were in it for 28 or 29 years....only had to buy one other bladder...because the first one developed an EXTRA large leak...

Nab that garden is gorgeous..I will go out in a few (after I am clothed) and pull up the stones that someone put down for a walk way...we are going to do bricks..

yesterday was low key for our anniversary...we will celebrate every day for the next year...that is our goal...

yesterday Bates College in my town had graduated and De niro delivered one of the commencement speeches..and Sigroune Weaver was there for her daughters commencement....so it must be a pretty good college...EXPENSIVE for a small college...

have a good day my friends

Mony - Have you been to Universal before? 4 days there would depress me, but the boys will probably love it.
I read more and see you all decided to go to WDW too. Which is good. :) One day at IoA and Universal is plenty for me - but the boys might want longer. I got really good tickets at Costco last year - I only used one day and the other two days don't expire for two years.
I might use one of the days this fall, but we'll have to buy a ticket for Wes and pay for a cab to get there, so it could be expensive.

Definitely get there before park opening for Harry Potter. It's the only part of the park that gets crowded. It's worth the price of admission by itself. :)

They seriously have lines just to get in the stores - and not just for the wand show.

I'd honestly recommend doing the stores first because if you have to wait in line for forbidden journey, it's inside and sooooo cool because it's in the castle.
Even if some of you aren't riding forbidden journey, definitely do the castle tour.
Awesome!
Also be aware that if any of your family is slightly large, they might not be able to ride. I've known several people that are only a little tubby, but the stupid ride chairs won't latch. There are chairs before you get in line that you can test. You have to get a certain color to be able to ride (I can't remember if you can ride if it's yellow or only if it's green - definitely not if it's red).

I saw the pics of your daughter's first communion on facebook. Very nice. :)

Nab - Nice lawn pics!!

Marita - I'm so glad I got free dining! The prices for meals are insane!

Pumba and Moo - how weird that one of you does well with water beds and the other doesn't!
I had a tempurpedic years ago and it hurt my back!

HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY PUMBA AND MR PUMBA!

My first husband had a water bed didn't like it either. Probably because I turn over a lot when I am in bed, and found it hard to do or if the other person moved to much you moved too.

We could use a new mattress though. Celery you don't like your tempurpetic one either. That is what hubby wants to get but they are to expensive and I was afraid they would make me too hot.

Mony-- Off site sounds nice. The washer/dryer would be heaven less to pack.

Mattress: We went to overstock.com last year and purchased a "tempurpedic" for like 1/3 of what the real ones cost. I hated it for about 3 weeks, then it really got comfy. I think it had to get used to me.:lmao:

We had a queen sized mattress with the top being something different, I am no good with names. My husband payd way too much for it. That things made it feel like an earthquake when ever the other person rolled over. It was awful and I cried for two years about it. We gave to it our oldest and he loves it. I guess when you don't have to share it it's perfect.

When I met my husband he had a half bed half water bed and I hated it. Again you feel everything the other person does.

i have to admit, I like the fake tempurpedic I sleep better than I have for years and I have no complaints about my back. I have no idea when hubby turns over or even when he wakes up for work at 4am.;) I sleep great.

I am going to mail my deposit tomorrow for the house. I was a little nervous about renting and doing everything over the internet and then the owner called me from England where he lives and we talked and it made me feel better and he has a management team that lives in the sub in Kissemmee where I send everything to.

I guess I gots to get me one of the those countdown tickers! Cause......

Look out! The Johnsons are going back to disney world!

Cel: The boys have done a day in US the last two times we were down there. I have no desire to go. I would like to see the Harry Potter stuff, but I don't want to when its jammed packed with people. Plus it costs so much to add 7 of us on for a one day ticket or any number for that matter. My boys did not want to do 4 days there. They said they could do it all in 1 day. So, after I gradute and get my awesome job, we will do some planning and go back. If we fall in love with this house we may never stay on property again. Thanks about Malorie, I thought she was the prettiest thing ever!

Remember my last trip we stayed at the time share for a day before and after our stay at POP. I loved it and vowed secretley then to always stay in some kind of villa. It makes my job so much easier.

So glad Hannah's Guides are done for the year. Missed most of Nicholas ball game last night because I had to take her there and back inbetween. Hubby told me I missed his home run hit.

I did notice when we were leaving that half the other team smoked it was odd to see. These kids are 14-15 and small. Then they were all walking up the hill with there parents passing smokes back and forth. :sad2: I know you can't stop them from smoking it they want to but I wouldn't be handing them to them that for sure.

Cooled down over night. We were having a mini heat wave. All the windows are open today. Can't believe it is almost June already. One more month of school for us.

Nab we are having crazy issues with K2 and spice. Kids killing their parents and one teen shot by his grandmother and killed because she was afraid for her life. This stuff is legal to sell! It is crazy and I fear for kids today.

Mailing my deposit check today. :goodvibes

Maddy my four year old says to me as I am eating a bowl of fake cheerios: Mom when you add milk they taste wet. When you don't add milk they taste dry.

Mad me chuckle, she was very serious and scientific this morning

She is vacuuming right now, she loves to vacuum.

I just cleaned out Maddy's closet. Purged is more like it. I have a little more than two garbage bags of clothes for the garage sale. People give me stuff all the time. I usually pass stuff on too, but I have to come up with spending money for the trip.

Off to cut grass!

A little sore today, after cutting the grass I spent two hours picking weeds. Our playscape has wood chips under it, old day care rule, and these massive amount of prickly weeds grow there. Third time this spring I had to do that. It is awful and they grow double after I pick them. I hope I dug deep enough with my hand shovel to get to the ends of their roots.

Sad day here, a friend's adult son committed suicide two days ago. Going to the viewing.

I watched a news pieces on bath salts and K2 spice and that man who they believe was on Bath Salts eating another mans face off:scared1:
This scares me, for the world, my children, everybody. These men police are trying to arrest are insane fierce while on this stuff. Kids are killing their families, and themselves.

Makes me want to do something, I don't know what, but the protest at a store in my area is tomorrow, I may just go be a part of that.

They aired some store owner on our local news who said he doens't care what happens to people who buy the stuff he is selling. He runs a business and its not his fault. Let them die, and he wouldn't even call 911 if it was happening outside his store.

He runs a Citgo gas station and a father of a 16 year old who had to put his son in a detox center has arranged this protest.

I have 2 teens, I trust I raised them well, but this urks me to no end. I'm just tired of this stuff going on.

Thanks for listening.

Nab..in Maine, it is illegal to purchase butts until they are 18...and it is against the law to buy them for kids...I love this law....they treat it like liquor and that is fine with me...In Maine it is still 21 before you can buy it too...

I was a smoker for quite a few years...it is a horrible habit and so hard to kick the habit...but have been smoke free...(temporarily on the wagon) for almost 30 years I think...weird ...it seems like yesterday....

today it is sunny out and hubby went to the pool place with some of the pool water...we needed clorine shock free...or something like that...hopefully it will work and then we have to buy arm and hammer pool baking soda...or is it baking powder....somethign like that...we are working hard to get it open...SOON I HOPE...hahaha..

see ya later gators

Mony-- I hear you on the crazy stuff that is out there these days. Kids still think nothing bad will happened to them too.

Pumba--We have the same law but it does not stop kids from smoking. Heck a few years ago they went as far as not allowing stores to display them they have to be behind doors now and store owner have to get them to show I.D just like l booze. But kids are still out here smoking everywhere and nothing is done. Just can't buy them. :confused3

Boy these last two days have sure cooled down. Suppose to rain for the next few, we need it but don't want it to rain on the weekend. My niece is having her comfirmation on Saturday and have to drive myself across Toronto. Hating driving in the rain.

I am so giggly, if NEBO isn't pulling my leg, we will be in WDW at the same time. This just made my day! Silly, silly, silly.

Mom had hand surgery this morning. All went ok and we will know more Monday at her follow up apt.

My day started at 4:45am. And I feel like I should be getting ready for bed. I watched the clock the whole night because I was afraid I'd oversleep.

Have to take one daughter for dance pictures tonight and the other in the morning.

Dance craziness is almost upon us. A whole week of rehersals and performances. OY!

And it just dawned on me that dance week from He double hockey sticks is the same week as vacation bible school. Which I was asked to be the preschool director of. Double OY! Where is the faint smiley?

Rainy all day here. Hope your day is sunny!
