It is really windy here today, I have never seen it like this before. The neighbour across the street got new shingles in Sept. and now most of them are lying on the front lawn or scattered across the neighbourhood. I feel so bad for them because it was hard to get enough money to do there roof in the first place.

I saw all the mess the tornados did in the south. So sad I hope everyone we know down that way is ok.

Weather this year is just crazy everywhere.

the party was a huge success and we all had a blast...SHE was so surprised coming up the stairs to the living room...We had fun and the food went over great....GD made those cake pops with peanut butter icing and she wrote 40 on the top of it all...Plus the cake is almost gone thank goodness...

she had some joke gifts and also some GOOD GIFTS..she has plenty of dunkin donut gift cards...tj maxx gift cards, and a private trainer for one session...she is in heaven...

Our realtor who knows our daughter and goes to exercise boot camp with her...came and she gave us a gc to our favorite restaurant...she is such a great person...

Sounds like a great party, Pumba!

I am SO ready for Spring!!! We had heavy winds over the weekend and a little bit of snow, but we are looking at a warm up later this week. Yay!

Pumba, glad your party was a success.

Noting much to report here, other than I had a 3 day weekend and yet again go noting done: no nails, no haircut, no pedicure, sigh!
I was scouring the calendar for this week for an opportunity to take a day off, but just enough meetings, like 30 mins -1 hour a day, to make it not possible. Maybe next week. Or, maybe i can sneak over to the Contemp for a haircut over lunch one day and at least get that out of the way. They give discounts.

Dr. appt tomorrow for my test results, that should be fun

Marita-- I am like you have lots of time on my hands and get nothing done. Hope everything goes good at this doctors.

Moo-- Hear you on the spring thing but really we can't complain here about the weather. It was pretty cold yesterday though. Kids even got indoor recesses so that is cold. Frosty this morning too.

Went to see about Nicholas glasses yesterday and they are going to be replaced for free she didn't even ask me how it happened.

Next week is March Break for us ....hubby is taking me to Las Vegas for an early birthday present, my birthday is March 24th. He had to tell me because I had to ask my mom if the kids could stay with her while we are gone. It will be nice to be away , just he two of us.

The sun is out and we are going to have a heat wave...maybe not today but wed into friday...high temps ..thursday will be almost 60...can you believe that...I AM SOOOOOOO ready..
This week we do those clocks again...fast forward an hour...hahaha...

Today going to the eye doctor AGAIN...to see if these meds did the trick...I hope so..because my insurance (YES DANG INSURANCE)..doesnt like the eye meds...he has been getting them for me for nothing...so I guess it is okey if they work...If they dont ..I will get the list of the ones that my insurance does cover..

well the meds didnt work...so I have to go back in another month and have new eye drops...scared me ...he said for me not to worry...he will get this under control and then it will be fine...he is awful good ...my pressure this time was 26 in both eyes...with my meds it should be 15 or lower...so I was scared..

Pumba-- I would be scared too. So do you feel this high pressure on your eyes?

Marita-- How did the doctors go yesterday?

Moo-- More drama on Biggest Loser tonight by the looks of the previews last week.

this is a silent problem...a person does not know if they have gluacoma or not...my regular visit showed mine about 15 or so years ago..its been under control except when I had a reaction to one of the types of drugs...today was hard because he had to find an eye drop that would not cause my heart rate to go down because I am already on a blood pressure med that would do this...sooooo going back the beginning of April...so the last three drugs have not worked...scares me to death...cause I love being able to see and read and do this dang computer...

Pumba, wow, hope your doc finds drops that work, scary stuff indeed!

Dr. went ok, he never mentioned the EKG or stress test today, and I didn ask, LOL. But he is putting me on cholesterol meds, which I knew was coming. Also, today he figured my thyroid felt slightly off and is sending me to get an ultrasound of it done. What, he didn't notice this last week??? I have to look this up, but he said it controls metabolism, so maybe that's what caused my weight gain? One can only hope, LOL.
I lost 2 pds since last week (no tacos or fettucine alfredo), but that's is probaly just normal fluctuation, LOL, but hey, it's a little ray of hope.

I hope no one else reads these posts....cause I lost five pounds when I had the digestive bug...if you catch my drift...ROFL...a heck of a way to lose it but it was good for a few ...then I gained it back...

Today no rug rat so going shopping with my DIL...I love to go with my kids...they point me in the right direction and say yea or ney...ROFL..

We have a spring like day today. was only out in a hoodie instead of a winter coat.

Had to go out and pick up Nicholas from school. His stomach was brothering which means something else is but he won't tell me what. Teenage drama stuff I am sure. I took him a pill about 10:00 this morning but by noon he wanted another one which he can't have so I picked him up. He has been in bed ever since. He has a concience so he will probably tell us tonight what is going on. Missed assignment? Failed test? Girl Trouble?

yup...teens...or after teens too...emotions are high for all the age group...Hope he is better soon..

SO we went shopping...first a store called Mardens...it is salvage stuff but the store is clean as a whistle...so I got a pair of flats that are usually 49.00 and got them for five bucks...they were gorgeous...and then we went to the Mall and got won ton soup at this Asian fast food place.....OMG it is so good and that was all we needed...so I went up and told the man that I wanted one to go...hahaha..I will have it either with supper or tomorrow...delish..
After that we went to Walmart and got a pair of sleep shorts ..for Disney cause our daughter will be sharing our room and Didnt want her to know her OLD MOM usually wears just t's to bed with skivvies...hahaha...so now I will be covered..
Also got a candy bar...but that is for later...PAY DAYS..YUMMY too..

This darn dis ate my post....

Kids are busy tonight one at Guides camping in the basement in tents and the other volunteering at the church dance. They are having a St Patrick's day dance since there is none next week. We are on March break now so not sure how many will come.

Pumba-- that was a pretty good deal on those shoes.

We have to go shopping for a small suitcase to use as a carry on when we go next week. Don't want any checked luggage. We will only be gone 4 days. Not sure how much that leaves me for shopping.

Hello to everyone Sorry I've been MIA. Lots going on at work and prepping for my surgery has been keeping me very busy due to all the paperwork and such that I need to take care of beforehand.

SO happy it's the weekend!!! However, I'm not looking forward to the cleaning I need to do so I'm not embarrassed to have a PT person here once I'm home from the hospital. I haven't deep cleaned since Thanksgiving.

Nabbie - That is pretty exciting that you and your hubby are getting away to Vegas for a few days!

Dang dog and husband woke me up at some unearthly time ...he gave her the peanut butter jar so she could chase it around the floors...and making clunk clunk noises...and then barking at it when it got stuck under a chair...I mean ITS SATURDAY AND I dont like six thirty on Saturdays...so I buckled in and got up after I yelled at that dang dog a few times...and there was my coffee...already made...I do love that...so all is forgiven...hahaha..

DONT forget to do our time changes tonight my friends...wouldnt want anyone to be late for church or meetings or whatever we are going to do tomorrow...

This week, I have an appt with gyn for my yearly...DO WE SEE HOW EXCITED I AM...NOT !!! I hate to go ...pap smears are important so I will do it ...then hubby has an appt with orthopedic specialist for his hand...he has pretty bad case of carpal tunnel and it is time...I will hold onto my carpal tunnel and wear my braces when I need to...some times I dont but heck...only time the hands go numb is if coffee is in one hand and phone in the other......or sometimes at night..

Yes Pumba that is too early for a Saturday to be getting up. And you lose that darn hour tonight too.

Those yearly paps are important and will be doing them unitl the magical number 70 mine told me. So I have 21 more to go.....

I do like when the sun stays out longer at night. It is already but with the clocks turning back it is even better. People working night shift tonight love it I bet.

Just doing the usually Saturday thing.......the wash. Have to go pick Hannah up soon from Guides. It is pretty cold out there today too....brrr.

Moo-- How long will you have to be off work when you get your surgery done?

Nabbie - I think I'll be off work for about six weeks. I'd like to make sure I'm all done with PT before going back since I won't have any sick leave left for those appointments. I could go on a reduced work schedule for that, but I'd just as soon be fully healed and rehabbed before dealing with work stuff. I'm looking forward to being away from the office environment for a bit.

Pumba - Lasagne sounds good. I haven't made that in ages!

I, too, hadnt made lasagna since we moved here...forgot how much work it is...but well worth it...delishish...even the kids ate their meals...with salad and bisquits...YUMMY..

We had a nice visit with everyone ...my DIL and I looked up a great deal of info on Disney...so we are well prepared., but we are always prepared ..

I am reading a bizarre book...its called...Tell Aunt Tilley she's dead...funny and serious at the same time..there are some of the free books on kindle...love some of them and then some are stupid so put them out in the archive area...you can tell after a few chapters..

tomorrow I will count how many footies I own and how many skivvies...so I can go and buy enough for Disney...do not wish to do laundry while I am there...

I saw on a pop century post that the fridges are being put in...maybe because we have a pool view preferred room...we will be lucky and have one when we check in...fingers crossed..

Speaking of paps, I had to go this week. That doctor was so funny, the whole time he tried to distract me: What car do you drive? how old is it? what color? how about inside? How many miles? it was funny. Loved him, as opposed to my regular doc who is a total stick in the mud.
I've been on Royal Room reacton watch for the last 2 days, looks like we have a big hit on our hands!

Holy crap,it's 3:19 Am, I hate this time change!
