Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

good morning everyone..

Just ordered the finger rolls...for Saturday's surprise 40th for my baby....I will do the rest of the food but these always go over good...people like to hold those little sandwiches and not worry about other stuff...

The sun isnt cooperating today at all...I miss that cause it warms up the house so nicely..

Just think..not many more days in Feb and then it will be March...I am wishing away the cold weather and get onto spring and summer...

We bought a small 22 inch tv for the kitchen yesterday and today hubby will have to go to time warner and get that little adapter thingie so we can watch the bottom channels...we have the boxes for the two big tv's and one adapter for our granddaughters room tv...so this one will be good so I can cook and relax upstairs without running down here or to our bedroom to listen to the last part of NCIS which is always while I am cooking...hahaha..

have a good everyone..

Pumba-- we always had a tv in the kitchen growning up. Now our family room is off the kitchen so I can see our big 50" while cooking, and doing the dishes. Love it. But I turn it off while we're eating with some exceptions.

The sun is shining and it is mild again here , but they say another storm is coming. Hope it is like all our storms this year. They only last a few hours and then are gone as is the snow. :thumbsup2

Marita-- do you have to work any extra hours for that 24 hour park opening for leap year? Is it only one park I can't remember?

Nope, I don't have to work, it's only at MK. I'll be sleeping ZZZZZZZZZZZ

I have a little TV in the kitchen too, love it. Not that I cook much, but it helps when doing dishes and stuff.

Tomorrow I go to see the Neurosurgeon for my MRI results, Can'
t wait A) the bill and B) the verdict. NOTTTT!!

Happy Leap Day!

How neat it would be to be born on this day. I am sure it comes with some problems too. The paper work alone when you want to retire.

Marita--Hope you get good results on you MIR

Well they were calling for another storm here but it is just snowing out there. It's called winter. :rotfl: I did see on the news that down south is getting tornados. Scary stuff. We were suppose to start with freezing rain , didn't get that, this snow is suppose to turn to rain so hopefully we won't see any.

Moo-- did you watch Biggest Loser. I felt so bad for Chism, missing only by a pound.. Was hoping Kim would have gone home.Santa and Chris really need the prize money. I do not think Cassandra is going to keep off that weight. Just watching her bake cookies and eating one tells me this, even though she was proud of eatting just one. More drama next week with another switch. Crazy.

we are going to have WINTER again tonight into tomorrow...and we are supposed to sign tomorrow...I am sweating at the pits..
Plus because we still own the house ...hubby will go over tomorrow and shovel and check it out to make sure it is okey..

I hate snow and YES IT IS MAINE AND IT IS WINTER...we have had an easy year...

Have to get my list ready to get the stuff for the party....that is saturday and it is going to be rain and cold...go figure...yup they say if you dont like Maine's weather...wait a few...

have a good day

Nabbie - I didn't feel too sorry for Chism since he won that $10,000 and I was a little ticked that he was one of the contestants who piled on to the hating of Daphne and her brother. I would have preferred to see Kim go home too. Or better yet, Conda. I was shocked that she lost over 5%.

Pumba - SO sad to hear about Davy Jones :(

Marita - Hope you're doing better. I'm starting to get a bit stressed over my knee surgery . . .

Getting lots of tweets from MK about the 24 hr day - dh has a friend there that keeps texting him!

Moo - sorry to hear your nerves are up, that's completely understandable! hugs

Pumba - what an up and down year for the weather! wonder what the summer will bring? No rain? Too much rain? Heat? not enough heat? you just never know - but its March - so woohoo summer's almost here!! (we had 56 degrees and sunshine most of the day - then bam - clouds and WIND!)

Nab - I read on my brother's FB wall - he was almost a leap baby! He was born on a leap year - but on March 1st! I never knew that! I was thinking, poor thing has to wait 24 hours to turn another year older :rotfl2: but this is how its supposed to be!! roflol

Nab and Moo - the spoilers for BIggest Loser has me so curious!! Chism was too nice for this group of drama... I really believe the producers felt they needed to amp up the drama, the last couple of seasons have been really nice - but I dont like the drama! I want more hints, and tips - what do they do 24/7 ( or maybe 16/7! lol maybe they sleep 8 hours?!!)

nothing new here - its depressing. Hoping something will pan out for dh. hoping dd will continue being successful...

I LOVED loved LOVED The Monkees - and of course, Davey Jones... so sad. Love the music.

hey hey with the monkeys....Yes I loved him too....who wouldnt of....so young too...breaks your heart...
He was supposed to be one of the flower power concerts during our stay but they changed him to the end of the concert in May...we still will be seeing Hermans hermits and EO something ...We will miss the songs that filled the American Pavilion...he was great..

Well guess what....its snowing ...and we are in the 8-12 inch area....Now do I have to remind you that I dont like this stuff...:rotfl: I think I say it every winter storm...But closing is still on...I am wicked excited...HONEST...three pm and it will be the Potential buyers..who will be the new owner...it is a great house ...built thru the years with love...started off as a one floor with an attic...then built up the attic to another apt...then third floor went on where that attic was...so it was a family home from the beginning...my mom lived on all three floors,.we lived on the third and then the first...then my sister lived on the second and the third...so we all moved around and hubby and I were the ones that were asked if we wanted to buy it...and we did...we put mega bucks into it...to make it a great home...I hope that he loves it as much as we did..
THAT BEING SAID...
I LOVE MY NEW HOUSE...it is something I say every day...I just love the layout the rooms and two full bathrooms...how can anyone say anything else different...I love it ..

Marita...this is for you....

that was a silent prayer for you to have great results with your MRI...hugs and love to you:grouphug:

Pumba-- It is a snow day here for us , we got freezing rain overnight and this morning and now we are getting big snowflakes on top of that.

Kids still go to school since the schools are open , one walks and one takes public transit. I could keep them home but Hannah likes it because they get to socialize most of the day instead of really work. This is the first snow day at high school so not sure what they do with them there.

I have seen Herman Hermits before at a local bar a few times. My husband loved the Monkee's he has a c.d. too.

Well Hannah was suppose to have skating today that will be cancelled as her lunch lady. So I better go make a lunch for her.

Moo-- When is your surgery?

Marita-- how were the test results?

Sandy-- hear you on the weather. Hope we get a spring and summer. Hope your husband finds something soon.

Pumba - how nice to hear you love your new house. sorry about that white stuff falling from the sky...

Marita - hope all went well!

Nab - snow days and the school's are open? What a concept! I'm surprised at how long the school doors are open - dd left her book for English class at school, and at 7pm dh drove her over to find it!

There's a Monkee Marathon - that movie they made, they just showed a clip - its really bad! I've always enjoyed the music, it was right at my level!

Ireland signed the sopa law! (internet restrictions - big restrictions, dh is home giving me updates!) Thanks for the wishes, positive thoughts for dh. I hate this. so much!

Sandy-- Yes the school are open for the walker to come even though we are sliding all over the place on the sidewalks. You wouldn't believe how many people drive the kids to school if the school buses don't go because they have to go to work and have no day care. On snow days you have to walk them in to the gym and pick them up there.

Nicholas is home, the office called and asked if he was allowed to come home. They were all in the cafe. and would be there all day working on their own.

School are open until 4:30 here but the school gym is rented out at night so the doors are open but the class rooms are not.

Knee surgery is March 21. Feeling a bit less nervous since I've been so busy at work the past couple days.

well the house is now just going to be memories...the young man and his 19 years old son are the new owners...his wife passed away six years ago and they have lived in the country...they are excited and nervous at the same time...I think I remember it being that way too...

so thanks for keeping me sane the last few months...I really appreciate you all..

and Moo I didnt even read that you were going to have knee surgury...My brother had his knee fixed up last thursday...and then we have had two snowstorms so he has yelled out the door with his crutch at his wife (who had kidney cancer) who was trying to snowblow for the first time....ROFL...it was quite a site I heard..

thanks again everyone

Pumba-- What a relief it must be to have your old house sold. I still think of the first house we moved here from and wonder what life would have been like it we stayed there or what they have done to it inside. Definitely in the country there. Little main street and 45 min. drive to the closest mall. 30 minutes to your closest food and dept store. When we moved here I was happy there was a grocery store 5 minutes away.

Moo-- I think knee surgery is probably like catracts, people are scared to get them done but when they do it is a mircle and wonder why they didn't get them done sooner. More recovery time for you though. Are you getting both done ? I guess they would do them one at a time or you wouldn't be able to walk. I know you knees cause you a lot of pain.

Pumba, congrats on getting the house sold, what a relief!

My appt. with the neurosurgeon was kind of iffy, LOL. He thought I would be fine with meds and sent me off. I stopped in the restroom on the way out, and then the nurse was there looking for me. He changed his mind after looking at my MRI's again and thought maybe I should get an angiogram to see if I need a stent. I told him about the $39K hospital bill, and he was OK with waiting to see if I have another "event". So nothing else happening right now.

I'm seeing the regular Dr. next week for test results, and he may send me for a stress test, he thinks I may have had a heart attack. SO we will see how that goes. Plus I have to see another Dr. and then the dentist the week after. Oh, how I regret not getting the 90% coverage for this year!

Moo, good luck with your knee surgery. I hope it is like Nab said, like cataracts. I remember how scared I was with that, and Pumba assured me it was nothing, and it was.

Sandy, sorry about your hubby's job situation, keeping all appendages crossed for you!

Otherwise really nothing to report here. Had lunch with Khaki and a couple of other old friends today, so that was nice. And I am taking tomorrow off. I need so much stuff done, like haircut and nails and pedicure plus I need new pants.

Im trying to cut out high fat/calorie foods to help out both my weight and my cholesterol. Today's lunch didn't help any :sad2:

marita...go to my fitness pal dot com and try this program out...it counts for you so you dont have to do any figuring..
I see where I go wrong each day and SOMETIMES what I do right...hahaha...
Or if you insurance takes care of it ...ask for a nutritious..or something not spelt like that...hahaha..

SOOOOOo now onto the party for tomorrow night and wouldnt ya know it...another storm system coming our way...please let it be AFTER everyone leaves...a ton of stuff to do but I managed to drag out the garbage can and dog poopies...out to the street...we didnt snow blow or shovel because it wasnt done last night....wicked slick out today though....
Hubby is seeing the companys doctor today to get the results of his tests that he had for his carpal tunnel...like us old birds...our hands go numb and can hurt too...I have it on my left hand and they couldnt figure this out...cause I am right handed...but my left hand and elbow are the baddies..

have a good day my friends...

Marita-- I feel so bad you don't have insurance to cover the stuff you really need. I guess at times I take our health system for granted and not think about just being able to go to the doctor and walk out without paying etc.

They have cut things out over the years like going to the eye doctor. Used to be able to go for free but they changed it to only kids up to 18 years go free. But Joe's work covers us so we are ok. And speaking of glasses Nicholas broke his this morning. Had them in bed with him and broke the arm right off. No back up ones either. So I know what we will be doing tonight after school. He is the kids with a taped and glued arm on, not sure how long that will last.

Pumba--Hope the weather holds out for you. We are back up above 0 today but it is really cloudy out there.

Good news is it is Friday and Hubby is off this weekend! :woohoo:

Pumba - Great news on the house!!!

Nabbie - Just having surgery on my left knee. I don't have nearly the pain in the right knee. Although, I have heard many people who've had knee replacements say that their other knee bothered them more after having their first one done.

Marita - Sounds like it's time for you to see a cardiologist. Rough deal on your insurance co-pay situation.

I had this long reply posted and then it went POOF. Going to bed now!

moo...I think they said to my brother that favoring the bad knee after surgury..cause yo dont want it to hurt ..puts a lot of pressure on the knee that wasnt operated on ...so then that one hurts more...

The snow gods gave us some more snow last night...and now it is raining...hope it just rains for tonight too...I just made the two types of pasta for the three types of pasta salad...one with veggies and italian dressing in it...one with eggs and shrimp and miracle whip...and one with just eggies and miracle whip (cause my niece is allergic to shell fish)...cake is here and ice cream...chips and dips are ready...finger rolls we will pick up later...decorations are coming...anything else i need...beer is on ice and sangria is coming...

I think I have it all..
