MOOvers - 2011 Edition

Just when I tried to post last nigh, my pc died again. I really need a new one before this one gives up the ghost for good. That would be horrible, as I use it all the time, and for work.

Anyway, went on a tour of Golden Oak today, the new million dollar (2-8M) homes today. Lovely, as expected. they have all of 12 buyers so far...
Anyway, I learned a lot of prospects are DVC members ([probably NOT buyers, I suspect), so MOO, if you are interested in tour, I can give you the number. They are also listed on realtor site(s).
SO far they have all of ONE family there. There was a tricycle by the front door. and the guide said they would have to move that. Probably not now, since they are the only family there, but eventually. Also, most houses are very close to neighbors, but there are some very big lots too.
Keep in mind, all these houses are not primary homes, but vacation homes.

In other news, I need a new PC, new earphones, and a new router. Would be great to have Friday off to do all that, but Khaki is in class all day. Maybe I can twist boss' arm tomorrow, but my guess is he wants someone in the office, sigh!

Busy day and night.

Open house at both schools tonight. We kind of just ran though Hannah's school since I already know the school and the teacher. She wanted us to see where she sits and how clean her desk was. So I didn't want to disappoint her. So after they had there talk and introduced all the teachers we ran up to the third floor to see her class and ran out to get to the other school .

All Nicholas' teachers love him and singled him out in every class we went to. It was funny. There were other kids there too. :confused3 Said he was doing very well in all his classes. Scary. His team won there first football game to night too so he is one happy dude.

It felt like Friday all day, hope I remember to get the kids up and to school tomorrow....

Nabbie - I'm SO excited to have my cruise confirmed. I'm sorry my friend can't go, but it'll be so fun to have my sister join me :cool1: Great update on the kids :thumbsup2

Marita - Yikes on those house prices :scared1: I'll bet it's a cool development though. Hope you get your computer issues squared away. I telecommuted today because I had a dentist appointment in the middle of the day. It was nice being home -- it's been quite a while since I was able to work from home.

Pumba - Pileated woodpeckers are amazing to see. And noisy!

okey.. you wont believe this...

outside with my rugrat ava..two kids from visiting their grandparents from next door is here too..the little boy lifts up the garage door...I decided to put it down and tried to get the handle and I could not reach it..so I PUT my dang finger in the space between the slats and OMG I got my finger caught..I had some sense left thru the pain.,, and pushed it back up and released my finger..OMG I have never had so much pain in my life..even having akid wasnt this bad..the whole nail (middle finger on right hand) was all purple and blood under the nail...swelled up wicked...tried not to act scared cause the two from visiting next door lost their mom last year in a car accident and the were in the back seat..so i didnt cry or scream or swear..just held my finger up and kept on saying its okey..so fast forward two and a half hours ...ER..three xrays and they put a hole in the top of the nail to let the pressure out......thank GOD i said to the doctor..have one big ark of a thing protecting the nail and the finger...cause the doctor said yu wil hit it..I can guarantee it..

end of that saga of my life,,,and YES I learned my lesson.....do not put fingers where they dont belong

Oh my gosh Pumba! I can't imagine the pain.

You are not having any luck lately. Surely it has got to change soon.

Ouch, Pumba, that sounds really painful!!! :scared1:

My dad owned a car repair place and gas station, and one day a guy came in to have a belt tested in his car. Dad said, dont turn on the car, so the guy did while my dad had his finger in the belt testing it. Cut the top third of his finger off...... That wasn't very pleasant either. He walked around for months holding his finger up cause of the pain and threatend to put the story on tape cause everyone asked what happened.

Moo, YAY for getting your cruise finalized! :thumbsup2

We'll all have to try to meet sometime when you and Nab are down here.

Still nothing new here, but on Oct. 5, our manager is taking is all out on his dime to the Hoop-Dee-Doo, which is really cool for me, cause I have never seen it during my 39 years working at Disney. Not looking forward to driving home in the dark at 9:00pm. but I guess I will do it....

YAY for FRIDAY!!

/
mornin'...

Hoop de Doo, is fun and not bad food either....I think you will enjoy it...is there anyone you can meet half way and have someone in the car with you??

I bled like a stuffed pig during the night...and then dear hub and dog jumped up to wake me for breakfast and they landed on the finger....like the oc said it will stick out like a sore thumb.. even though its the middle finger...do you know how hard it is to really type the right way without that middle finger..hahaha..

raining and humid today they saw it would be 70 percent dew points ..and we usually get that during the summer or a hurricane..

Oh yah next week is MAYBE the trees coming down..fingers crossed..

Hub and our son went scouting for moose where the hunt will take place in october...always good to scout the areas out..

have a good day

tomorrow going to santas village with DIL and two grandkids..it is in New Hampshire....hopefully a good day to have fun...

Tuesday my sister and her husband are coming from NY and staying with us....will be glad to see her ...wish our brother from SD could be here with the rest of us..
In our area already is my baby sister..(11 months younger), my brother and my BIL ( married to my big sister who died five years ago)....
we will have a dinner here one night and then another night all go out for seafood dinner...

have a good day

Pumba I sliced my index finger cutting slice deli meat at a store I worked at. It was not pretty for anyone when it happened. I too kept hitting it on everything and making it bleed. Finally put popcicle sticks on both sides that stuck up higher then my finger so I didn't hit it directly.

We have stopped at Santa's Village a few times to go in the gift shop but never really went into the park. Got lots of pictures at different ages in the sleigh out front. Love the talking reindeer dude too. Hannah loves to pick a surprise present (grab bag type thing) too.

It is sunny and warm here today too after a night of really heavy rain.

Going to look at the baby registery at Toys R Us for my nephew's new baby coming in Jan. Hannah and I will love looking at all the tiny baby stuff.

Marita - I didn't see until today that we had posted at about the same time  You should definitely go to Hoop de Doo!!! The show is really fun to watch and the food is tasty (when we went, beer and wine were included with the meal - not sure if it still is). If you don't want to drive home at night, you should play tourist and get a value room for the night! ;)

My sister and I are pretty excited about doing the cruise together.

Nabbie - Hope we can get seated at the same table with your family. If we do and you get tired of us, we ARE planning to eat at Palo's one night :goodvibes

Pumba - Hope you heal quickly! Sounds like you'll be having a nice time with family.

Moo-- don't think we will get bored with you at dinner. Half the time the kids took off on us leaving us alone to eat. I can't remember when you are going to be at WDW before hand and when we can get together with Maria. Still having a hard time deciding on a flight and where to stay if we got there early. That might help make up our minds. :lmao:

Went and looked at the Baby registery...Wow is all I can say. She wants a leather diaper bag that cost $90 . and another Columbia one that cost $80. :scared1: It was a crazy list.

Nabbie - Hubby and I are probably driving in on NYE day and staying three nights before the cruise, but that is over the holiday, so I doubt Marita will want to come in for that. I think my sis will fly in the day before the cruise. I think the day we get off the ship may be more likely to meet up with Marita (if you're staying over that night), as it will be a work day for her . . .

I haven't gotten a room yet for NYE, so we may end up needing to stay off-site if our waitlist doesn't come through.

Nab get the big bag from LL Bean...no one can say no to those..

We had a fabulous time..great weather and my Dil and the two rug rats and myself were happy all day...

We loved the area and every worker had their disney smiles on...LOVE THAT..

Saw Santa and got our rings from the reindeer nails...the kids were great.

We got home at quarter of seven ...long ride ..

finger is sore so will get off...:)

Pumba - Hope your finger feels better soon :grouphug:

Nabbie - I spoke too soon! I was checking my e-mail and saw that our waitlist came through for NYE!!! :woohoo: We'll be at Saratoga Springs that night.

Also, I decided to put a cruise ticker in my signature to help keep track of the wait :)

Moo-- glad your trip planing is back on schedule. :woohoo: Love the ticker too. I will put one up as soon as hubby decides on a flight and when we are actually leaving. The Dis meet thread for this cruise are very quiet people, have been others where somewhat knew them by now.

Pumba-- I would love to just get any bag but this one. But if it isn't what she wants or picked she will ask you to take it back. She actually told someone that didn't buy something off her wedding registy to take it back because it wasn't a certain brand even thought they looked exactly the same only one was bought at a different store.:sad2:

They are calling for a whole week of rain here. Hope the weather man is wrong. I have errands to run and I had doing them in the rain.

Morning..
Nab..how about a few months supply of pampers or other disposable diapers..I cant believe anyone would want a 90 dollar diaper bag........geesh...

The sun is out but we are in for rain by wed or thursday...

Ava is watching Dora and then we will go out for a bit...to nice to stay inside..

TREE PEOPLE where are youuuuuuuuuu

Moo and Nab, I can probably fit in a lunch or afternoon tea after 1/1, just let me know when you are availble. As long its not at night, LOL. Even though I can now see after my cataract surgery, I still hate driving at night.

My DD has third and final interview as a Jenny Craig consultant tomorrow, pleae keep all appendages crossed, as she is unemployed since she left for Montana, and this would be just the perfect job for her.

Marita - Yikes! Nancy Grace had a major wardrobe malfunction tonight on DWTS. I'm not really rooting for her, but I felt bad for her  Pretty embarrassing for someone in her position. Guess next time she'll use some double-sided tape!!!

Sending good wishes for your DD's job situation. My DD had an interview for a job closer to where she lives last Friday, but I haven't had an update on how it went.

I currently have a lunch ressie for two at Le Cellier on 1/2 as I figured on being at Epcot that day, but could rearrange things after Nabbie firms up her plans.

Nabbie - Let us know when you get things nailed down! I'm not sure if my hubby would want to participate in lunch. I know he definitely won't want to have tea. My sister probably won't be with us at that point.

Pumba - Did the tree guy show up today?
