I just booked our flights to Montana, w00t!! $1,176 for 2 tickets, I got a pretty good deal, but heck, you could fly to Europe for that!!

Marita - Yay for getting your flight booked

My knee slipped yesterday and made an awful crackling noise and it ended up being hard to walk on it, so after hobbling around last night I ended up working from home today. Didn't manage a full 8 hours, but it was nice to be able to work here and easily elevate/ice my knee. I tried to do some stretching tonight. Hopefully it'll feel better tomorrow.

YET ANOTHER post on the restaurant board about the dreaded buns that Disney uses for hamburgs and hotdogs........they are the multi grain ones that fall apart in your hands when you add anything on it......People are not happy with the non options of buns.........They are not any different then white bread because they are processed too...but hubby AGAIN has threatened to stop at the publix store on the way and get a pkg of some white buns.....we dont eat them often but love a good hamburger in Disney.....

SUN is out and I am ready for another chilly day.......very cold but at least the sun makes it nice inside....

Another cold day here again. Kids stayed in at recess , no winter carnival again today.

Where did the day go. I feel like I am playing catch up on all the household chores.

So should I post more pictures ? How many would you like I have tons.... Don't want to bog down our thread.

This is the entrance to the Simpson ride...

This was the Rip Rocket coaster...not going on that one the guys did though.

Jaws....he ate Nicholas.

Universal was fun but we probably could have done it in one day instead of two. The guys did all the coasters and such, Hannah and I stayed in Kidszone and Dr Seuss.

Universal had the back lot kind of stuff, with the Blues Brothers coming out in the old police car. Lucille Ball was out and they have a museum type building for her that was cool. Of course the kids had no idea who she was.

Lots of big rides but I think we still like Disney better.

On we go to the cruise....

Open those doors we want on....we were in group two to board not bad...

You just got to get a picture of them in those babies....you now don't have to wear them to the muster station like you used too. It made it hard going up stairs with a lot of people wearing them too. The kids also have the new wave phones in there hands...cell phones for the boat, great to keep taps on the big one.

Notice Nicholas is still in a sweater.....not for long.

Everyone gets a Character breakfast. We got the short end of that one. They only have it on sea days and ours was the second one and we had early seating. It just so happened that that night the clocks also went ahead an hours so intead of it being 8:00 , in reality it was 7:00.

They make everyone beautiful hats....

At least I didn't get this one....

Nicholas wore his all morning....wonder how many cloth napkins return to the resturant, we left our behind in the stateroom.

The only problem the whole trip was with our dinning. It was so slow.....We heard this was because there were so many new servers , kitchen help etc. because a lot of the good ones when to the Dream. Others on the ship still had fantastic servers, we did have some great ones at lunch. Just not at our dinner. We did talk to the Head waiter a few times but it was what it was.

Characters at breakfast were Chip and Dale, Pluto, Goofy, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. All in island wear. They come to your table sign books and you take a picture. All while eating breakfast, it is pretty fast pace once they get going.

hello Wendy and Cel.....HOWDY DOODY TO YOU BOTH..

I love your photos Nab.....they are awesome....I can live thru your boat experience cause hubby wont go.....whaaaaaaaaaaaa......He was x navy....but never saw a ship except to buy cigarettes 46 years ago.......He did go on one of the boats for work they call it trials......they go and figure out if anything is wrong.......hubby had done the electrical for the tomyhawk missiles..

Funny you should mention the Dream.....We rebooked on the cruise for the first week of Jan next year on the Dream. So now we have two sitting there. Crazy.

Moo-- How is your knee? Hope it is feeling better and you did do real damage to it.

Pumba-- I love cruising. This was our 5th on on the Magic. Hubby and I did one alone when the kids were little and really like it.

My knee is feeling a little better today than yesterday. Full day of work today My hubby is having Lasik eye surgery of Friday and I have to drive him so at least it's a short week.

I worked out rather gingerly over lunch today and I think that helped loosen things up a bit. I'm going to try riding the recumbent bike a little bit on a low resistance tonight and see if that helps.

Lucky you, Nabbie, having a couple of cruises in the wings! I REALLY need to work on finding someone interested in cruising with me

Moo, I know someone who might be availble for a cruise and even could probably snare a discount! Glad your knee is a bit better.

Nab, that Mickey Ear entrance reminded me of the difference in entering the Disney ship vs. Royal Caribbean. On Disney, you walk into the Grand Lobby while being applauded by CM's; on the RB ship, you just walked into a drab hallway to passenger hallways. It was a great ship, just NO sense of arrival at ALL! We never did the Character Breakfast on the Disney cruise, not sure if we didnt know or didnt care. Im sure even if we had known we didnt care, LOL.

I didnt mention yesterday, I finally found a good deal for the flight to Montana. $1176 for 2 tickets round trip, and only 7 hours, plus some change. It could have been easily well over $1,800 and 9-14 hours flighing. Guess no great demand to go to Montana..... I had to add a couple of days to the trip to get it, but well worth it.
DS reported last night it was -7 degrees, and he was finally breaking down to buy a snow blower, but Sears said hey were out since they are preparing spring inventories... He was none too happy. Reminds me of when they carry wool coats in Florida in August and you cant find a swimsuit except for leftovers!

It is third day in a row of extreme cold weather. -24 this morning with the windchill. Kids will be in again today. Not sure if they will cancel ski club tonight because of it. I wouldn't want to be on a cold hill.

The house was doing some terrible cracking last night to so I knew it was cold. Hubby was working too so I was up all night hearing strange noises.

No walking them to school today...have to drive because of the snow board Nicholas needs tonight. Guess I will run some errands while I am already out.
