Nabbie - Fortunately no cough so far, just feeling a little achy.

We got a bit more snow last night. Glad I don't have to shovel!!! Hubby uses his four-wheeler to plow.

I'm weird I love to shovel it if isn't too heavy. I hate when people walk on it before I get out there. Hubby knows I get mad if he drives over it before I shovel too because them you get stopped in those spots when shoveling across.

Tonight we tried a different restaurant for dinner. I am so a simple eater. We went to Milestones and it had curry and pesto and other cheeses I didn't know. Everyone got something different and we switched around. I think I ended up eating Hannah's left over french fries. I know I should have ordered the hamburger but hubby said live a little and try something new.

Nabbie - You should be able to try some new things to eat during your cruise!

We went out to eat at a wings restaurant (Buffalo Wild Wings) earlier this week for my coworker's son's school trip fundraiser. I had some boneless wings and tried several different dipping sauces, plus I got blue cheese dressing and celery sticks. Really liked the Asian Zing sauce!

I would love some buffalo wings too

I used to get some from Schwans when I was getting their stuff....but heck I would buy stuff that I could get at the grocery store cheaper....but their wings were HOT and so darn good...

We flipped the mattress today and I said I would wash from the bottom up and under the bed too....because it was in our water bed frame that hubby made 31 years ago......I cant believe that....it was the day before my nana passed away and six weeks before my daddy passed away.....I think nana died first to prepare us for Dads....you never know ...so anywhooooooo we did the comforter and blankets and sheets and four or five pillow cases..yes we have alot of pillows......and then Megaras blanket that she sleeps on our bed....so on and on it took most of the afternoon to do it and dry it and then redo the bed....

We had a boring supper.....boneless skinless chicken breast and baked taters and salad......we have had that a few times this week......geesh....I want some wings too.....those are just meat so I could do that and not have to count it....

see ya later ladies and gents...(well we used to have gents...where are they?)

Moo, hope you feel better!

Didn't leave to house today again, LOL, just the way I like it.
Finally got some :laundy: done, boy was that needed! I always wash my work clothes, but we were seriously running on empty for underwear and casual clothes. Towels, I have gazillions of, I don't even know where to put them all, maybe I just leave them in the hamper, LOL.

Hubby got the xmas box for me today so I can put the ornaments away, and then hopefully he will put the tree away, but that's not happening tonight!

Speaking of eating out, I've been doing an awful lot of that lately. At least my office partner is out next week, so I won't be going except for one day when we have a goodbye old boss/welcome new boss lunch.

I ran across a thread on the Dis today about the new plan to project people's pics on the castle. all the posters hated the idea. Then someone posted a link to a preview of it. Boy, does it ever look lame! I don't think it will inspire anyone to come down. Anyway, here is the link:

Hi, I am coming around out of my funk, it still stings though.

I was plagued with bad dreams last night. I hate having dreams that seem so real. I laid in bed and cried for almost believing in them.

The group that is going is being taken to the Magic Kingdom. Duh, why would they put you so close to WDW without taking you there. I found this out from my BFF, he told her about it when she was picking up her daughter and i was at school.

He did eventauly tell me, but it wasn't soon enough for my liking.

He can't go though. He has to leave early on Friday because he and Z have tickets to TigerFest on Saturday.

But, they are right across from DTD and I'm sure there will be evening fieldtrips somewhere. They really take care of them on these trips. They are staying at the Wyndham. I don't rememeber how it is spelled. But, it looks nice. I AM happy that he gets rewarded for his hard work. I just don't understand why he was so quick to say no to me, and not even try to work something out so I could go.

I just pictured myself sitting in the hotel, doing all of my homework peacefully, and then after meetings being able to spend time walking around somewhere at our favorite place. I am deeply hurt by this, but I will heal.

On the positive side, my total weight loss is 10.6 lbs after two weeks on WW.

Have a great day!

Monica you have done wonderful....WW is a good program and a healthy one for the whole family. Its not eating premade foods that is only for you......Proud of you and your accomplishments...
I wont weigh myself until Wednesday. if I weigh myself more I will obsess with it and wonder if the doctor will make me pop another pill......I will ask for another opinion from the Diabetic doctor....if that is the case.....but fingers crossed that this works out.

Sun is coming in this morning and the room is HOT as usual. Hubby made turkey bacon and eggs for breakfast and he does the coffee too....i make the toast and that is it, he cooks the rest.......all I count is the toast too ... I write it all down though..anything that is in my hand and goes to my lips....written down....I am already thinking of what ONE restaurant we go to this week. I would like chinese on Fridays and get some steamers and salmon and shrimp......yup chinese but this is so good.......I could also have the chef do the chop chop in front of me at the make your own stuff....that would be healthy too....we shall see.....stay tuned for the continuing hunger pains of ME....hahaha..

I think I may play some music this morning ....QUEEN-- Greatest hits....I love that or maybe the EAGLES.....LOVE THAT TOO..OR MEATLOAF......could do that one too.....Hubby doesnt like it though when I play THE THREE TENORS..I have a wide range of likes in the music dept.....HAHHA

see ya later

It is really cold today. But the kids were so excited about all the snow we got yesterday that we had to be out in it all day.

Nicholas went snowboarding this afternoon and both of them and the neighbours went sledding tonight. Hannah was happy to get get in her bath tonight.

Pumba-- love your music selection but I think I am with you husband. I wouldn't want to listen to the tenors. I also hate listening to some of the music Nicholas listens too. I'm sure it is a cycle and my parents didn't like my music either.

Mony-- :cheer2: 10 pounds in two weeks that is great!

Marita-- I don't care for the pictures going across the castle. I wouldn't sit and watch it .:confused3 And how will you get a good picture of the castle with that running across.

I'm finally feeling better today, thank goodness! Watching the Golden Globes tonight. Love seeing the women's dresses. Lots of shows I've never heard of or seen though :confused3

Congrats on doing so well on WW your first couple weeks, Mony, and I'm glad to hear you're healing over the WDW issue. I've been trying to conquer my depression eating tendencies the last couple weeks. Not very successfully, I'm afraid . . . I think I found those lbs you lost  However, I finally have all the holiday goodies out of the house and am ready to buckle down this week.

Nabbie - You snuck in on me! I was also going to comment on the castle photos. I'm thinking it'll be better in person than how it looks in that video. People will be excited to try to see themselves while they're waiting for the fireworks to start

Hello, friends. I hope you all are enjoying this long weekend. We had a pretty good day of relaxing together today: board games, a relaxing supper grilled by DH, and some reading. Nice and peaceful.

I think I happened upon some bad news earlier today. When I logged into the Dept. of Unemployment website to certify my search activities for this past week, I got a message that said that I'm not eligible for benefits. That's the first time I've gotten that message, which leads me to believe that I'm going to be denied benefits after all. And that will probably mean that I'll have to pay back the 2 weeks of benefits I was paid earlier this month. :sad2:

In somewhat brighter news, I did spend a good portion of yesterday following up some job leads. Any prayers y'all can spare would be appreciated. I know it's only been about a month, but I'm really not a fan of uncertainty. Ack!

Mony, 10 lbs in 2 weeks is amazing progress! Good for you! :cheer2:

NAB, you're such a good mom to go out in the snow with the kids all day! Most of the time, I stay in while they play in the snow. They're okay with that as long as I have hot chocolate waiting when they come in. ;)

Lynette - Sending prayers and good job vibes your way! Hopefully things will work out so you can draw your rightful benefits soon :grouphug: There must be something they can do when an employer takes a powder.

I'd be knocking on CBM's door and asking him in person what is up? I wouldn't be rude, I wouldn't be hostile, although it would be hard not to be, but I would be that persistent to get what is rightfully mine. This stinks Lynette. Don't you have a lawyer friend who could advise you? Prayed for all of you yesterday in church.

Thanks for you kinds words on my weight loss, it is very important to me.:goodvibes

Mony - Congrats on your 10 lb weight loss! That is awesome! Maybe the disappointment of no trip now will mean a sweeter trip in the future. :thumbsup2

Lynt - Now that just STINKS!! I think CBM is shady! Praying for you to find a fabulous job with a Fabulous Boss Man! :)

My mom had surgery on her shoulder this morning in Atlanta. My dad just called and said she is out of surgery and that it went well. She had torn her rotator cuff. She's had a hip and a knee replaced, so hopefully she will come through this with flying colors too. I just hate I can't be there for her, but I don't have any leave in this new job except for two days and I am spending one for DS' graduation. Any extra prayers and pixie dust would be appreciated. :grouphug:

:grouphug: Thanks to you all for the good thoughts and prayers. It really means a lot to me. After my conversation with the rep from the unemployment office late last week, it doesn't look like I have much hope of a successful appeal, partially because I was considered a part-time employee. :confused3 Instead of despairing about that, I'm trying to just concentrate my effort and energies on getting a new job...with a quickness! I've been praying for some guidance toward the right opportunity, so we'll see what the future holds.

DH has really been (as always) very supportive and positive that this whole thing is a blessing in disguise.

Meanwhile, I am also doing what I can to spruce up the house a bit. Before losing my job, I had planned to re-do the living and dining rooms. Although the purchase of 2 rooms of new furniture is now on hold , I am redoing curtains and getting a really early start on my spring cleaning. I am even considering painting some of the rooms. I've also been cooking up a storm! Tonight's endeavor was creme brulee, which was quite a hit with my minions!

Allie, glad to hear your mom is doing well. Hope she recovers quickly! I'm sure she knows that you'd love to be there with her. I'll keep her in my prayers!

Allie - So glad to hear that your mom is doing well!

DH has really been (as always) very supportive and positive that this whole thing is a blessing in disguise.
Amen to that! You are so blessed to have such a supportive hubby, Lynette  Sending positive thoughts for that window to open soon :thumbsup2

I had today off work (Martin Luther King Day), so I had scheduled some cortisone injections for my knees. They did some x-rays since I hadn't had any for a couple years and I saw the orthopedic surgeon today too. The x-rays confirmed that I still have bone-on-bone arthritis, especially in my left knee. I twisted on that knee last week getting off a machine during a workout and had a lot of pain, but the x-ray didn't show any damage other than the arthritis, thank goodness. The orthopod said it is OK for me to continue to try to get by with the cortisone and joint filler injections, but if I feel they aren't cutting it any more to let him know if/when I want to proceed with knee replacement :scared: I'm hoping I can continue to get by for at least another year or more.

That's a lot to think about.

So I went shopping and got some new black work slacks and a red cami

And I went and saw "The King's Speech". Great movie! I hope Colin Firth gets the Oscar for his performance, in addition to the Golden Globe that he was just awarded last night :goodvibes

Allie-- hope your mom heals fast. She has gone though a lot.

Moo-- your knees sound painful. But I know why you want to hold off on getting surgery.

Lynette--I too hope something comes your way soon.

Mony-- Did you go to the casino on the weekend?

I am trying really hard to get my clothes together from my trip. I think I have everything now just to get all sorted it out and in suitcases. don't want to do it too soon or everything will get wrinkled up, especially my dressy clothes.

My sister told me today that she is thinking of going on the Dream the same weekend we go out on the Magic. She is used to the Carnival ships so it will really be different for them. I am jealous that she is going on before me, even though I am going on the Magic the same time only our trip is longer. That is why we are not on the Dream wanted more days.

Nabbie - I really think we should have a MOOvers meet on the Dream!!!

Ohh, count me in, count me in!!!

Lynette hope something opens for you soon this situation really sucks.

Allie, best wishes to your mom

Moo, yikes on thoughts of knee replacement, but they do it all the time now

Group hug to everyone who needs it. :grouphug:

I had a nice 3 days off. Got tons of laundry done and finally got my oil changed, I was 3,000 miles behind schedule and it was making me nervous. Also got some other fluids changed the had bugged me to do the last two times. Total was $212, GULP! I got a rebate to mail in for $25 though. I also discovered doing easy crosswords online, it's fun, and the mark the letter RED if it's wrong, LOL, so that really helps.

Back to work tomorrow, blech...

morning..Last night I did a dimwitted thing.....I ordered four shirts at Walmart because they were on sale.....and I pressed the wrong size on all four.....so I tried to immediately email the thing and it didnt work...so when they come I will try them on fast and then return them to our area store.....MAKES ME MAD...nice colors too...they are Hanes lightweight T's....How could I pass them up when they were five bucks each.....Oh well...so much for me getting excited about a sale.....I thought these colors would be nice in DISNEY in 100 days ..
Hope you are all feeling better today and hope your mama's surgery has a fast recovery..

No Ava today and no hubby......so sitting here in my jammies enjoying my morning coffee....

Nab: I did not go anywhere, by GF bailed on me. It was her suggestion to begin with that we go out, just stayed home and watched a movie with the family.

Moover meet? Can I go alone? That would be fun!

Lynette: You ARE lucky to have such a wonderful supportive husband.

Allie: Still thinking of your mom.

Marita: I'm just getting to laundry now.

Pumba: Wow, no kids or hubby at the same time? Wow, I envy you! LOL!

I had to work yesterday. I have a lot of work to do this semester. I am trying to stay ahead.

Have a great day.
